Good grief.
The man stared as Saiki stopped the bolder, crushing it with a jump. He was tired today, he didn’t want to be here. Pieces of dirt flowing into his face, the remains of the rock following after.
“You- your-!”
Kusuo landed next to him. He wasn't really too concerned with making sure this man didn't talk. If anything he'd make up some story about how he saved them both, not Saiki.
He’d read his thoughts prior. The man was a walking god complex by his first impression.
Taking a sigh, he lead them both out of the hiking range and back into the lodge. Twisting the ring on his finger.
"Ku! There you are! I was so worried!" His mother rushed up in front of him, his father following suit behind. She stopped dotting on him only to turn to look at the man.
“Whos this strange man with you..?”
Kusuo shrugged.
"There was an avalanche. He was in the way.”
His mother exploded, "Oh my! You both much be so tired! I'm so sorry!"
"He didn't do anything, and stop apologizing you didn't do anything either.”
"Your son- he's oh my god!"
‘Good grief . What now.’
"He's a.."
"God? We know he-" Kusuke began, prompting a quick gab in the side from Kusuo.
"You've gone through so much! Please let us take you to lunch!"
‘ Why are you bringing him to lunch, he just stood there’
"Of course! I'd love to!" He man gave a heartly smile.
Kusuo gave an eternal groan. He hated family trips.
_
Earlier this week his mother had come up with the brilliant idea of a family vacation to a forrest lodge.
He couldn’t stop her in time before the idea was fully functional. And it was already too late when she decided to phone up Kusuke.
And now here he was.
Having lunch with a psychopath with a superiority complex, a demon disguised as a woman, a stranger he saved on a trial and a pathetic excuse for a father figure.
yippee.
-
“So what’s your name, sir?”His mother begin cheerfully.
“Watanabe, Watanabe Mori. Pleased to meet you!”’ The man, now introduced as Watanabe replied, shaking his mother’s hand.
“Saiki Kurumi! Nice to meet you too! This is my husband, Saiki Kuniharu! And my sons!” She lit up, gesturing towards his brother, “Saiki Kusuke! and.. Well you’ve met Ku!”
‘No, he hasn’t.’
“I’m just so happy your alright! that avalanche must’ve been so hard for you to deal with!” She continued.
‘ Again he didn’t deal with anything. Speaking of that i’m kind of wondering what he’s gonna say. I’m not too worried about it but theirs always a chance something slips..
what a pain.’
“Oh I’m fine! I just can’t believe I’m still here, eatting a meal with.. him! As equals!”
Kusuke almost choked, “Well certainly, not equals!”
The entire family turned. Kusuo moments away from sternly jabbing him in the face, god his Brother was unbearable.
Shocking everyone at the table the man agreed. “Right! How silly of me! Certainly not equals!”
‘Huh. I forgot the guy had a god complex, shockingly. His first thoughts were about how the family over there should be bowing at his feet.’
Kusuo sighed and continued eating his food. The sooner he finished the sooner he could take more control of the situation.
It wasn’t too bad, he was just too tired to really do anything at the moment and like he thought before he wasn’t too worried.
The human brain works in mysterious ways surely by now, he’d already come up with a scientific explanation for it, or thought he was seeing things has any normal human would.
“You must be virgin mary herself!”
‘What.’
Kumi laughed, “Oh how sweet! But i’m nothing like that what makes you say that?”
“Well your son! He’s- Hes a godsent angel!”
Kusuo froze kid bit into his salad. ‘Come again?’
He pulled off his ring sticking it into his pocket, as fast as he could.
‘ Oh my I can’t believe it! I’m seeing one of God’s warriors! A real Guardian angel! I knew God would protect me the moment the rocks started to fall! ‘
‘Oh so he’s serious.
Good grief, what a pain. ‘
