“Sammy, the hell are we?” Dean snaps as he looks around the weird underground room he and his brother have woken up it,
“I’ll be honest, no clue,” Sam shrugs, “But if that’s got anything to say, there’s definitely something up,” He points to the water calm in the center of the room.
Cas frowns slightly, “I do not know what has happened.”
Rolling his eyes Dean groans, “So some weird mojo that none of us know zapped us here. Well that’s fantastic.”
Sam pulls his phone out only to find it replaced with a thick blocky object, it looks to do the same thing as a phone. After a moment of clicking a sort of group chat appears as the device buzzes.
Xisuma Void Was Slain By ZombieCleo
Xisuma: GG Cleo
Xisuma: I’ll get you next time 🐟
ZombieCleo: Don’t you dare.
Xisuma: :-)
ZombieCleo: I will come for your legs
“Uh is it just me or did it look like that guy just came back from the dead?” Dean asks, peering at the communicator.
“Seems like it.”
Cass looks to the side, “What is the purple thing?”
“What purple thing?” Dean asks, turning to the glowing Nether portal and frowning at it.
Humming a heavily armored form followed by a green plant like creature walk through the portal.
“Oh my goodness me,” The form in armor hums, “Portal glitch?”
“Im sorry, what now?” Dean asks.
The green plant creature fixes them with a blank stare, “How’d you get here?”
“You know that’s what we want to know,” Sam mutters.
“Ok start over,” The armored form claps, “I’m Xisuma. My friend here is Doc, who are you?”
“I’m Dean, this is Sam and that’s Cass.”
Walking up to Doc, Cass stares at him and frowns slightly, “What are you.”
“Never seen a creeper before?” Doc hisses.
“What?” Sam asks, “What’s a creeper?”
“Plant based monsters that explode,” Xisuma nods, “They are quite pack oriented and have been known to bite at times.”
Nodding Doc clicks his arm, “Don’t look so scared, I can’t explode anymore. I’m practically harmless.”
“Doc you literally killed a god.”
“He was a bastard,” Doc shrugs, “He deserved it.”
Shaking his head Xisuma laughs, “He also likes to fight watchers.”
“How I got this,” Doc shows his arm off, “Got the eye when I exploded on Beef and Etho.”
Sam and Dean stand slightly stunned as the pair banter on, “Hold up,” Dean motions, “This box said you died.”
“Oh yeah, Cleo wanted my head and didn’t have anything cloned so she fought me for it
“You know what I don’t want to know,” Dean backs off as the portal makes a sound as a person with a green eye walks in pulling a much taller mustached man behind.
“Hey Iskall, Mumbo,” Xisuma calls over, “We have some guests today it seems.”
“Hello,” Iskall calls over as Mumbo gives a quick half wave as Iskall shoves a juice box into his hand. Sniffing it causes Mumbo’s eyes to dilate and he starts drinking.
“You forget to eat?” Doc murmurs as he pads over.
Nodding Mumbo licks at his lips once he’s done drinking, “Yeah, Didn’t have any in my ender chest.”
“Any what?” Dean asks suspiciously.
“Ran out of blood boxes,” Mumbo grins, showing his fangs off, “We're working on pacific and I lost track.”
Dean frowns, somethings up here monsters are just walking among this town something’s clearly up, “You a vampire or something?”
“Yep, been one since right before I joined, he didn’t mean to turn me but blood moon server without the proper notifications...”
“What’s a blood moon server?” Sam asks as Mumbo waves and disappears back into the portal.
“It makes hybrids go feral,” Xisuma explains sadly, “Before the labs, the blood moons were just a fun challenge. Now they can do real damage.”
“Like with the Mumbo guy,” Sam nods.
“Yeah, he’s been a hermit for longer than just about every one.”
“Quick question,” Dean huffs, “What is this area?”
“World spawn and a community area,” Xisuma grins.
“And how’s the ceiling doing that?” Sam asks.
“Fences...you really aren’t from this world are you?”
“Nope,” Sam shrugs.
“ok, server meeting,” Xisuma grins, “We’ll get you home.”
Turning to each other Sam, Dean and Cass nod, there is something going on here and it’s not good.
Following Doc and Xisuma though the portal reveals an overwhelmingly hot domain. Thankfully it’s a short walk.
A sharp howl splits the air as a large brown, mud covered Wolf pads around the corner.
“You look like you had fun,” Xisuma laughs, the wolf walks around the three visitors before barking and running off.
“What was that?”
“Werewolf,” Doc answers.
The brothers eyes burn with Recognition, “Has he hurt someone?”
Doc hisses, “Worst thing he’s done is fall asleep on someone.”
The three fall behind and Doc walks into the town hall and murmurs to Xisuma , “I think they’re scared of nonhuman stuff,” hissing in amusement as he shoots the hermits a message.
“Ok somethings weird, worst thing a werewolf doing falling asleep on someone, somethings up.”
“They said the green guy killed god.”
“Something is either controlling them to not attack each other or they're planning something.”
“Have you noticed how empty this place is?” Cass cuts in, “No one is here.”
A whooshing sound draws their attention as a man with bright blonde hair lands on the ground.
“Hi,” He grins, fixing them with a blood red stare, “You're the new people?”
“Uhh, yeah,” Sam murmurs as the red eyed man grins.
He sticks his hand out, “Im Tango.”
Dean nods, “Uh, im Dean. Sam and Cass.”
Grinning Tango laughs, “Nice to meet you.”
“Uh what’s going on with your eyes? Some kinda demon?”
Tango’s face darkens, “I'm no demon, I'm a perfectly good robot.”
One by one the hermits arrive and everyone is settled around a table, Xisuma starts the meeting, “These people appear to have skipped universes. They have no knowledge of how things work here. Cleo what do you think, have you seen anything like this?”
The zombie lady stands up and squints at the brothers, “Nope i've heard of similar events a few times but nothing quite like this.”
The man with glasses looks dead at the three visitors, “I've heard of that as well. I'm sure we can get them home.”
Elbowing Sam in the side Dean glances at the man who had spoken, “And who are you?”
“Oh, Howdy, I'm Joe Hills.”
“That’s just how he talks,” Doc grins, “In his words it’s the Joe Hills difference.”
Dean squints, “This may be more like our world, Has anyone made a deal for magic or anything?”
Surprisingly all eyes turn to two men, “They did.”
“What?” Sam gaps, that's not what he expected them to say.
The brown haired man flicks skeleton wings out, “Us, making deals for magic never,” He grabs a shiny blue rock and pops it into his mouth.
His friend face palms, “The vex like interacting with players, they cant hold a form themselves so we help them out and they give us magic in return.”
“What do you do for them?” Dean asks slowly.
“They use us to prank people and cause general mayhem.”
The man in shining armor grins, “They took over my church and almost started a holy war.”
Cub laughs, “That we did.”
Cass speaks up for the first time, “How is that ok with you?”
Shrugging the hermits look at eachother, “It’s all in good fun.”
Dean groans, "Just out of curiosity, who did this holy war almost start with?"
The zombie grins and raises her hand.
The Winchester brothers frown.
Cleo continues to talk, “If that freaks you out wait until you hear about demise.”
The brothers look on expectantly.
“I'll tell you that,” A short man in a red sweater grins, “It was a death game. That I started. Live as long as you can and once dead you try to kill the others. No direct combat.”
As Grian explains the others chime in with their own stories, “And you can't forget about the dragon bro’s.”
Impulse laughs, “I still can’t believe you didn’t invite me.”
“Well,” Grian starts, “You were already dead.”
“It was the dragon bro’s,” Impulse protests.
“Fair enough,” Grian murmurs.
Impulse grins at the very confused visitors, backs away from the table and grins at the visitors, in a smooth motion he’s gone and a large black and yellow Dragon is grinning down at them. He lays down and curls around the table.
“So,” A silky smooth voice starts, “Any idea why you’re here?”
The brothers look over at the speaker and look away quickly, “Turning to each other they whisper, “No human has eyes that big… change hypnotises people?”
The hermit beside them laughs as he tosses his pocket watch up, “Oh yeah Keralis is definitely the Hypnotist.”
The door swings open as a blue slime? Runs in, “Hey sorry im-” He stares at Hypno who is gently swinging his pocket watch… After a few seconds he melts as Hypno laughs softly.
“He’s just slime?” Sam gasps.
Jevin reforms, “Really Hypno? And yep i'm a slime.”
The Winchesters look over at Cass who has a thoughtful look on his face, “This place might just work like this.”
Zedaph beats and jumps when Impulse brushes him with his tail, “Impulse, you scared me.”
“Ssorry,” The dragon hisses.
The conversation continues for a bit until Doc meets Grian’s eye and nods. Slumping lifelessly over the table Grian’s body flops to the floor.
Xisuma rolls his eyes, “What would you like to know about this place?”
“How does non-human stuff work?” Dean asks glaring slightly.
As they explain how the hybrid labs would take people and turn them into other things the visitors frown.
“Of course there are temporary ways to change people,” Doc explains.
The door swings open as Grian flounces in, in a new outfit.
Looking down at the now clearly a stuffed doll Dean barks out a sharp, “The hell!”
“It’s not like I can just change clothes, there sown to me,” Grian explains as he drags his body over to the couch.
“He had like ten bodys there at once and Impulse walked in at night and got so scared he screamed.”
“Uh, you would too,” The dragon hisses as he sits up.
Yawing a hermit who hasn’t said much stands up, “Ill be right back.”
“You need water or something?” Doc asks grinning, “You look a bit wilted.”
“Hey rude. Ren ate something and False wants me to help,” Bbubs frowns, his leaves fluttering, “he was hanging out with me.”
“What did he eat?”
“A zombie. His wolf stomach could handle it but that’s not good for a human.”
“So can we get home?” Sam asks.
Xisuma pulls his admin screen up and looks at their code, “If i ban you you should return to your normal… world.”
“If that doesn’t work?” Dean barks, “What then?”
“Then we call the watchers,” Xisuma nods.
“You've mentioned these guys a lot, who are they?”
“They run the worlds, they ensure no one glitches and they help the worlds grow and flourish. Since they use so much magic they rarely look human,” Doc explains, “After they got me out of the hybrid labs, I met one who’s magic flipped him upside down.”
“Ok, so i think i can get you out,” Xisuma says, “Tango you go to the mega hub to verify.”
Xisuma presses a button and the three travelers disappear.
Sitting up bed in the motel Dean groans, “That was weird.”
Sam nods as he pulls his laptop out, “Hey Dean… you ever heard of hermitcraft?”
