Chapter Text
“Freddie, love”, Jim wrapped a hand around his husband’s waist, “That’s enough, we don’t have this much space in the house”
“Nonsense darling,” Freddie said happily, “We have lots of space”
“If you say so”, Jim sighed, a fond smile playing at his lips, seeing Freddie happy made him happy.
How Jim wished they were still shopping. Instead, they were stuck in the hotel, Freddie had come down with a nasty cold. “I’m going to die”, Freddie whined, his nose all stuffy.
“It’s just a cold, love”, Jim soothed, “I’m not saying it’s nothing, but you are not going to die”, he said firmly.
“Oh, It’s A Hard Life”, Freddie whined, “My baby left me”
Jim snorted, “I may not know much rock n roll, but I can tell when you’re quoting your own songs”
Freddie tried to retort, but a cough overcame his frame and Jim wordlessly handed him a mug of tea. “Drink”
Jim let Freddie doze for a while, and then stood up and headed over to the bathroom and drew him a bath. “Freddie”, he hummed softly, “Come, have a bath, you’ll feel better”
“Will you get in with me?”
“It’s a medicinal bath”, Jim chuckled, “Another time”
