A Izzy le parecía bien ser la amiga de la "abuela" que no salía a fiestas, que no sabía mucho sobre la cultura pop o las tendencias actuales de la moda, y estaba constantemente escandalizada por las historias de las conquistas de Slash. Claro, no era lo ideal, pero cuando la falta de glóbulos rojos te dejaba con el aspecto de un cadáver cetrino y estabas exhausto todo el tiempo, salir de fiesta hasta altas horas de la noche no era realmente agradable. Y eso estaba bien para él, hasta que su nueva vecina increíblemente hermosa comenzó a coquetear con él e Izzy se dio cuenta exactamente de lo poco que sabía sobre las citas.

On a sunny beach, a baby sat with the hot sand digging into his toes. His name was Damon, and he didn’t know much about the world. He couldn’t know much; his brain wasn’t big enough. What mattered was that Damon was a baby with sand digging into his toes, and that when he woke up, they still wriggled incessantly to try and get the sand out.
Babies couldn’t really grasp dreams. Not that young, and even then, Damon took a bit longer than most.
