Late autumn storms dominated London. Lightning is becoming more frequent, followed by thunder that seems to catch on to each other.

The door opened suddenly and a tall figure hurriedly approached.

"Is that you, Remus?" asked a small woman, her voice trembling, holding a wand to the door.

A tall man approached and answered "Yes Vianna, don't worry, it's me." He took off his wet jacket, revealing the scars on his hands. His dirty blonde hair was wet and he had a worried look in his blue eyes.

Vianna sat next to him and asked "So how did it go? What did they say?"

"Alastor Moody wants you to go there tomorrow. Dumbledore said there is no time to waste as werewolf attacks became more frequent. But I don't want you to go. Vianna . . . please" Remus said with tears in his eyes.

"I have to go, Remus. Someone has to stop Greyback. Dumbledore is right. He bit 3 kids just last week and if I can do anything to stop him, I'll do it." the brown haired woman said.

"But if he finds out? What if he finds out you're betraying him, or about us, or our daughter? He'll kill you and then come after Lucille."

Vianna touched his hand. "He won't find out, I promise. He has no way of finding out about Lucille, only we and the order know about her existence."

"But what about you?" asked Remus. "What if he finds out about our plan and kills you? I can't live without you, Vianna. Please, don't go. I'll do it. I will go there and you will stay here with our daughter."

"Remus . . ." Vianna said, calmly. "Greyback trusts me. And you have to trust me too. I won't die, I promise".

The wind was blowing harder and harder.

Vianna got up from the couch and said "I'm going to check on the baby."

The little child was sleeping in her crib. Her mother covered her in a fluffy blanket and kissed her on the forehead. Fortunately, the little girl did not inherit the werewolf gene.

Sirius snatched the Daily Prophet from Remus' hands. "Don't bother reading it anymore, they exclude the most important news anyway."

"I know, just wanted to see if . . ."

"Still no sign of her?"

Remus nodded.

"Try not to think about it tonight, it's Lily's birthday."

The doorbell rang. Sirius headed for the door "The cake is finally here."

Lily and James were in the kitchen while Mary went upstairs to check on Harry and Lucille.

It's been almost three months since Vianna left on the mission, and they haven't heard from her since. Peter couldn't come that night, he said he had some important work to do at the Ministry of Magic.

Sirius opened the door and there was a nicely packed box in the doorway. He took the gift and went back in the living room. "Lily, someone sent you a present!"

Lily and James returned from the kitchen.

"Who is it from?" asked Lily.

"No idea. Shall I open it?"

"Yes, but be careful," said James, coming closer to him.

Sirius opened the gift, then quickly closed it again, terrified. "What the fuck."

"No way . . . isn't that . . ."

"What happened?" Lily approached and opened the present "Oh my god . . . Moony?"

"Mhm?" said Remus from the couch, still reading the Prophet.

"I think you should see this."

"What's wrong?" said Remus, confused. He set the Prophet on the table and walked toward them.

After opening the box, he felt his stomach drop. Inside the box was Vianna's head, with 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳 carved on her forehead.

"The babies are still sleeping," said Mary, descending the stairs. She looked at their horrified faces. "Merlin, what happened?"

"I shall call Dumbledore," said James, but he was already standing in front of their house. He opened the door, and Dumbledore hurried inside.

"Good evening gentlemen, we have an emergency. Greyback attacked a family of Muggleborns and i'm afraid that Vianna is in danger. We believe she announced the aurors about the attack as they came in time to save that family. They captured a few Werewolves, but now Greyback and Vianna are missing."

"I can assure you she's not missing," Remus said, pointing to the box.

Dumbledore glanced at the box, remianing speechless.

"You said everything was under control!" Remus shouted at him with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry for your loss, this was not part of the plan."

"Her death was not part of the plan!" He started crying harder. "They 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 her!"

Sirius pulled him in a hug. "Shh, calm down, Moony."

Dumbledore put his hand on Remus' shoulder, saying "She died a hero."

He went out into the garden and sent a Patronus to Alastor Moody to let him know what had happened, while Remus was crying in Sirius' arms. Then he turned inside, looking at Remus with pity.

"There is a spy in the Order, as you know. Greyback can find out about your daughter at any time, she is not safe. Alastor has prepared a house for you in Scotland. You can stay there until the war is over. "

"In Scotland?" Sirius asked. "But why can't they stay here? We will protect them."

"It's too dangerous, Padfoot," said James. "Dumbledore is right. Moony, take your daughter and go."

Lily said, worriedly, "You're not safe here, Remus. We don't want to lose you too. You know what happened to Marlene . . ."

"You must leave now," said Dumbledore.

"Alastor is waiting for you. You will be safe there."

"Why hasn't he returned yet?" the little girl asked.

"He's probably on his way. Come and eat your breakfast!" the house elf said.

"But it never takes him so long to get here. It's 7 in the morning, something must have happened to him." The little girl got out of bed and took her jacket. "Maybe he got hurt. I'm going to look for him."

The house elf ran to stop her. "You know Remus forbade you to leave the house on the full moon. Maybe he hasn't turned back into a human yet".

"It's morning, he's definitely not in his werewolf form." The girl began to put on her shoes "Maybe he's hurt and he can't return home on his own. I have to find him."

"Lucille, stop!" The house elf began to get angry. "I will not let you go into the forest! If the master finds out that I let you go alone, he will set me free."

"Then why don't you come with me, Wally?"

"Lucille, enough! I don't want to be set free because of you. Take off your shoes and eat your breakfast."

"Fine." the girl responded. "I'm going to take a shower."

While Wally went to set the table, Lucille snuck into her father's room.

Remus' room wasn't too big or too small. In fact, it was cozy, although it had many shelves filled with all kinds of books, half of them being muggle books. Lucille opened the bottom door of the nightstand and took a key. On the nightstand, there was a retro vinyl player from the 70's *which surprisingly still worked*.

The girl unlocked a drawer in her father's closet, in wich were a lot of old stuff and a picture of Remus from his years at Hogwarts, along with 3 classmates. The one with the broomstick in the picture was James, his hair was messy and black and he was wearing his Quidditch equipment. Remus didn't say much about him, only that he and his wife Lily were killed protecting their child, by He Who Must Not Be Named.

The short, plump, blonde boy was Peter Pettigrew and was killed by the other boy in the picture, Sirius Black. Sirius had curly, black, shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and a grin on his face. The girl's father said that Sirius was the Dark Lord's spy and that because of him, Lily, James and Peter had died. Now he is imprisoned in Azkaban, and Lucille did not ask more questions about Sirius because Remus was starting to get sad every time she mentioned him.

The little girl took her father's wand out of the drawer and locked it, then put the key back in the nightstand.

Then, she went out into the backyard and undid the protective charms so that she could enter the forest. The mud in the forest slowed the girl down, but she continued looking for her father.

A quarter of an hour had passed and she had not yet found any sign of Remus.

As the morning developed, the sounds of young birds began to fulfil the air with a delicious spritz. They chirped, tweeted and warbled incessantly. There was a gentle breeze, creating the single sound of rustling leaves.

As she continued to walk, she saw long scratches on some tree trunks. Through the mud, there were large traces, too large to belong to the bears. There was blood on some fallen trees, and under them were headless rabbits. The girl kept walking, but were traces of blood on the ground. The traces of blood led to the some rocks near a lake, and the little girl followed them.

Behind a rock stood the girl's father on the ground, leaning by a small fir tree.

"I finally found you!" The girl approached and noticed that her father was injured.

"Merlin, Lucille, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you not to leave the house until I get back? And what are you doing with my wand?"

"You should have returned home hours ago. I thought you were hurt, so I went looking for you." The girl came closer to her father. "And I was right."

"It's not that bad, I caught my foot in a bear trap when I turned back into a human" said Remus.

"Let me help you." Lucille approached and tried to remove the bear trap from her father's leg, but failed. "Looks like it's stuck."

"I know, I tried to take it off myself but it doesn't work. Give me my wand."

The girl handed him his wand, then he casted a spell and released his leg. There were deep cuts in his leg from which blood was still flowing. Lucille took off her scarf and wrapped it around Remus' leg. She helped him up and they headed home.

When they reached the garden, Remus asked "How did you manage to cancel the protection charms? I didn't teach you that."

"I've seen you countless times when you canceled and invoked them. It's not that complicated, you know?"

The little girl helped him into the house and placed him on the couch.

"Wally!" The girl called the elf.

Wally rushed out of the kitchen and came over to them. "Master, forgive me, I tried to stop her but . . ."

"Stop calling me 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳, I've told you countless times to call me Remus!"

"Wally, we don't have time for this, don't you see he's injured?" Lucille said. "Go and bring me the cut healing cream and some bandages."

After Wally brought her bandages and cream, Lucille spread her father's leg with cream, and his cuts immediately stopped bleeding. Then she bandaged his leg.

Remus could not afford medication from the Wizarding World because they were too expensive, so Lucille tried to make all kinds of healing creams from magazines. Not all of them worked, but she was proud of the cut healing cream, and it was easy to make - it only took 2 days to prepare and the ingredients were easy to find in the forest.

The two went to eat breakfast, then Remus went to bed. He was obviously exhausted.
