Work Text:

It’s a fall storm.

Loud, pounding rain against the window and wall-shuddering cracks of thunder every few minutes, but Yeonjun sleeps like the dead. It would have to be far more severe a weather event to wake him.

So if not that, then he wonders what did wake him—when he stayed up till 3am already and had fallen asleep determined to get as many hours as possible in before their 8am schedule the next day.

Then he feels it. Another hard poke in the ribs.

Already groaning, he flops onto his side, eyes still closed. “What’sit,” he grumbles.

“Hyung,” whispers a hushed voice. Yeonjun peeks one eye open.

Taehyun is hovering awkwardly beside his bed, blanket wrapped tight around his shoulders. He winces as another flash of lightning illuminates the room.

Sighing, Yeonjun lifts the corner of the blanket up as he scooches back a bit toward the wall. Instantly, Taehyun is abandoning his own blanket on the floor and crawling into the space Yeonjun left for him, curling tight against his chest and tucking his head under Yeonjun’s chin.

Yeonjun reaches out blindly to pat Taehyun’s hair, but misses and gets his cheek—oops. “Taehyun-ah,” he mumbles. “Since when are you afraid of storms?”

“I’m not,” Taehyun whispers harshly, the harshness negated by the way he snatches Yeonjun’s wrist in a death grip at another sudden crack of thunder. “It was just—that stupid scary movie Beomgyu hyung put on earlier freaked me out, so—”

“Mm,” Yeonjun strokes his hair, barely listening anymore as he slips backward into sleep. “Kay, Taehyunie.”

And then he falls asleep, with Kang Taehyun’s face hiding in his throat and his hands tucked around his waist.

Yeonjun would have thought that would be the end of it. But really, it’s only just the beginning.

It was kind of weird. Not weird enough that he really thought about it, but, if someone were to ask him and he had to actually analyze the experience, he’d admit that it was pretty weird.

He likes Taehyun. He’s known him the longest, and he always works really hard, and Yeonjun would trust him with his life.

But they’re different. They’re not close the way Yeonjun is with Soobin, and Taehyun has never really needed him as a hyung in the same way that Beomgyu does. It’s not that Taehyun isn’t ever affectionate with him, just that it doesn’t happen often—he’ll sooner be hanging off of Kai or Soobin’s arm, or indulging Beomgyu who looks at him like he’s a god. Yeonjun is rarely Taehyun’s first choice.

So it’s weird, right? That Taehyun went past Kai’s bed right next to his, and past Soobin and Beomgyu’s bedroom door, and ended up at Yeonjun’s. It’s just kinda weird.

Not that he thinks about it. The weirdness doesn’t even really occur to him until a week and a half later.

“Hyung, Taehyunie is asking for you.”

Yeonjun glances up from the game on his phone, distracted. “Hm?” He glances around the waiting room quick, but sees no blonde head. “Where is he?”

Soobin gestures vaguely over in the direction of the changing room, already in a different conversation with one of the coordi noonas. Yeonjun snorts. Very helpful.

He’s big enough to admit that he really wasn’t doing well in the game anyway, so he has no qualms about shutting his phone off and stuffing it in his pocket as he gets up off the couch. The waiting room isn’t super busy right now, still several hours off before they have to record for the performance, and Yeonjun is feeling kind of sleepy. Beomgyu is napping on the other sofa, and Kai is getting his hair fixed.

Yeonjun yawns behind a hand as he knocks on the changing room door. “Taehyunie? What’s up?”

There’s a slight fumbling sound inside, and then his voice close to the door: “Yeonjun hyung?”

“Mhm. Aren’t you dressed yet? We have sound check soon.” He glances at the clock on the wall. It’s not for another hour, actually. Soon enough.

“Can you—” Taehyun cuts himself off, and there’s only silence on the other side of the door for a moment. Yeonjun leans closer. “Actually, can you come in here for a minute? I need to ask you something.”

“O-kay,” he says. He has no idea what Taehyun could possibly need to ask him about in the changing room, but when the door unlocks, he steps inside and shuts it behind him.

It’s not a very large room. Most waiting rooms don’t have them, they just use the fold-up dividing walls, but this one has been transformed from whatever its original purpose was with the strategic installation of a mirror.

Taehyun is standing in the middle of the room, already in his outfit for the stage. Yeonjun blinks at him questioningly.

“What’s up?”

“Can you do me a favor?” Taehyun turns so his back is facing Yeonjun, front to the mirror. He motions to the back of his neck. “Could you cut this for me?”

Yeonjun steps closer, and sees that there’s one of those stretchy, clear ribbons sometimes attached to clothes that are used to hang them, coming out of the top of Taehyun’s shirt. He’s in a cropped white shirt with a black button up sweater that goes over it, and low rise pants. His tummy is on full display in the mirror, belly button peeking out under the shirt. Yeonjun knows there was a coat supposed to go on top of it all, but it’s nowhere to be seen.

Yeonjun takes the scissors that Taehyun offers him over his shoulder, but he frowns. “Are you sure you’re allowed to? These aren’t our clothes.”

“Yep. Sehee noona told me it was fine. It’s already half falling off anyway, and it keeps bothering me.”

Yeonjun sees that it is only half attached, dangling long out the back of the shirt’s neck line. He shrugs. “Alright, cool.”

“Make sure to cut it really close to the fabric,” Taehyun advises, and Yeonjun bobs his head in acknowledgement.

Pulling on the ribbon, he unfolds the top hem of the shirt where it’s attached, and leans in close to inspect it. He lifts the scissors in his other hand and lines them up carefully over where the ribbon is sewn in; the back of his hand presses against Taehyun’s neck. It’s warm.

He makes the tiny snip, and the ribbon falls into his hand. He lifts it, dangling it over Taehyun’s shoulder until he grabs it.

“There you go, Taehyunie,” he says.

“Thanks, hyung,” Taehyun responds, making eye contact with him in the mirror.

“No problem.” Yeonjun pats his shoulder. “I’m gonna go nap on the couch before we gotta get ready.”

Taehyun gives him a thumbs up, and Yeonjun slips out of the changing room and back over to the couch.

It’s not until he’s about to drift off that the oddness of that interaction occurs to him. Taehyun had asked a coordi for permission to cut something on the shirt, and then he must’ve talked to Soobin. Rather than getting one of them to help him, he’d asked specifically for Yeonjun. And why had he been in the changing room if he was already dressed?

Yeonjun shakes his head, deciding he doesn’t have the brain power to try to figure out his dongsaengs’ thinking all the time. He must be tired, because it takes him about thirty seconds to fall asleep.

It would be easy enough to forget, if not for the fact that Taehyun’s behavior only increases throughout the following weeks of promotions.

In isolation, none of the incidents would be noteworthy. But the more they pile up, the more Yeonjun starts to take notice.

Taehyun buys him a drink from the convenience store before they leave for a schedule. He asks for Yeonjun’s help during dance practices more than he normally would. He prepares Yeonjun’s breakfast while he’s in the shower, so that the cereal is waiting for him at just the right consistency of soggy when he gets out.

It doesn’t feel like Taehyun is particularly paying him more attention than usual—if anything, he does these things silently, without asking for acknowledgement. But Yeonjun is attuned to every one of his members after a good four years spent together, and it starts to stand out.

On the first free evening that they have in a while, Yeonjun is lying spread-out across his bed when a light knock pulls him out of his sleepy haze. He looks up.

Taehyun’s head pops in through the door.

“Hyung, me and Kai are gonna head out to see a movie. Do you want to come?” he asks.

“What about Soobinie?” Yeonjun says.

“He said he’s too tired from Music Bank today.”

“Beomgyu?”

“He’s at the company.”

Yeonjun nods slowly. “Okay, sure.” He grins. “I’ll hang out with our cool maknaes for a while.”

Taehyun rolls his eyes. “We’re leaving in fifteen minutes.”

Except when Yeonjun goes out to the main room fifteen minutes later, it’s to find Kai trapped on the couch beneath Soobin’s deflated-balloon body, spidery arms wrapped tight around his waist.

Kai leans his head back so he’s looking at them upside down. “Um,” he says.

Soobin squeezes him tighter. “Hueningie is mine tonight. You guys can’t have him!”

Kai pats Soobin’s head placatingly, but the fond look he gives him is enough to tell Yeonjun that they’re not going to be able to pull them apart any time soon.

He laughs, and turns to Taehyun. “Looks like it’s just me and you, Taehyunie.”

They end up seeing some new American action film, if only because there doesn’t really seem to be anything else good playing. They buy sodas and eat popcorn, and Yeonjun realizes that it’s the first time in a long time that he’s gotten to do something so—normal. It’s also the first time in a long time that he’s hanging out alone with Taehyun.

After the movie, they go to a cafe across the street to get coffee. Yeonjun stops Taehyun before he can get his wallet out, and gives him a warm smile.

“Don’t worry, hyung will pay for you,” he says, and Taehyun returns the smile.

They head back in the direction of the dorm while drinking their coffees. Taehyun holds on tight to Yeonjun’s arm while they walk, and Yeonjun is grateful because it’s freezing out. And he got an iced americano, like an idiot.

The position reminds Yeonjun of just how small Taehyun is—he’s not actually small, not really, but he’s a good bit shorter than Yeonjun, and with the way he squeezes against Yeonjun’s side, he seems even tinier than usual. Yeonjun forgets sometimes, that Taehyun is nearly as young as Kai. He’s so self-sufficient, and mature, that his neediness often comes as a welcome surprise in moments like this. Yeonjun wraps an arm around Taehyun’s shoulder, tugging him a little closer as he presses a fond smile into his hair. Taehyun squeaks a little when he almost trips, and Yeonjun tries not to laugh.

It was fun, hanging out with him. Taehyun’s presence makes him feel calm, and warm, and he thinks that they should do things like this more often. He tells Taehyun this, and Taehyun looks up at him with surprised eyes, before looking back down at the sidewalk and nodding slowly.

“Yeah, hyung, we can do this more.”

By the time they get back to the dorm, it’s only about 11pm, but Yeonjun is already thinking about getting ready for bed because they have a particularly early schedule the next morning.

When they step out of the elevator on their floor though, Taehyun’s hand on his arm stops him in the middle of the hall. Yeonjun looks back at him.

“What’s wrong?”

Taehyun doesn’t answer, and he has an unreadable expression on his face, gaze fixed somewhere around Yeonjun’s chest. After a second, he steps forward and wraps his arms around Yeonjun’s waist.

Yeonjun blinks. “Taehyunie?”

Taehyun squeezes him tighter, hiding his face against Yeonjun’s neck.

Yeonjun hesitantly puts his arms around his shoulders, unsure what’s going on. He tries to pat his back comfortingly, but even to himself it feels a little awkward.

“Taehyun?” he says again, quieter this time.

“Mm.” He feels the warmth of Taehyun’s breath against his neck. “Just—missed you, s’all,” he mumbles.

Yeonjun thinks of the past few weeks, and all of the little things Taehyun has been doing to get his attention. He feels his heart squeeze.

“‘m right here, Taehyunie,” he tells him. “I haven’t gone anywhere.”

Taehyun nods a little, then steps back abruptly, looking down at his shoes. “I know, hyung,” he says quietly. Yeonjun smiles softly.

Holding his face in place with one hand, Yeonjun leans down to press a quick kiss to Taehyun’s forehead. “Ah, so cute.”

Yeonjun is lucky to be close enough that he can see how red spreads across Taehyun’s cheeks at that. His eyebrows shoot up in surprise—he doesn’t think he’s ever seen Taehyun blush.

Before he can say anything else, the elevator opens, and he’s cut off by a happy shout.

“Ah, you guys are just getting back too?” Beomgyu exclaims, hopping out of the elevator. “Wow, what good timing!”

Yeonjun rolls his eyes at Beomgyu’s energy, and lets him finally lead them into the apartment once he’s keyed in the door code.

Predictably, Soobin and Kai have hardly moved from where they left them on the couch a few hours prior, and Beomgyu throws himself on top of them (to their very vocal complaints) to watch the end of the drama episode they have on. Yeonjun looks over to Taehyun one last time before he leaves to go to bed.

He sees that Taehyun is smiling; small, soft, but genuine.

After that day, things start to change in a subtle way.

Yeonjun finds himself being pulled in by Taehyun more and more often. He’ll stand with his chin hooked over Yeonjun’s shoulder, or curl his fingers around Yeonjun’s wrist to play with his sleeve while they’re not doing anything. He spends more of their free time invading Yeonjun’s bedroom, despite the fact that his and Kai’s room is usually the hot place of the dorm where they tend to gather to hang out.

Yeonjun watches it all in amusement, still a little confused where Taehyun’s fixation on him came from, but not enough to question it when he’s more than happy to give back whatever he gets.

He starts to tease Taehyun even more than he used to, pulling at his pigtails both on camera and off because he finds himself craving for the pink in Taehyun’s ears that he sometimes gets, and for the little crease in Taehyun’s brow on the rare occasions that he can’t think of a good comeback.

But while the change feels subtle to Yeonjun, he realizes that it must not be quite as subtle as he thought, the first time Soobin brings it up to him.

They’re examining the snack aisle in a GS25. They had a thirty minute break, so they’re grabbing stuff to bring back for the kids who are waiting in the practice room. That’s when Soobin glances over at him.

“It seems like you and Taehyunie have been getting pretty close lately,” he observes randomly.

“Mm.” Yeonjun grabs the honey butter chips that Beomgyu had wanted off the shelf. He starts to look for Taehyun’s cheetos, but Soobin spots them before him and pulls them down, holding them out to Yeonjun. Yeonjun takes them, then notices the look Soobin is giving him. “What? Is there something wrong with that?”

Soobin shakes his head, holding his hands up. “No, of course not. I guess I was just… surprised. You guys have never had that kind of relationship before.”

Yeonjun shrugs. “Sometimes relationships change.”

The truth is, he doesn’t really know how to explain what happened between him and Taehyun either. Nothing happened, really, but Yeonjun knows that the warmth in his chest he gets when Taehyun latches onto him first now, and his desire to tell Taehyun things all the time, were not there in the same way just a few months ago. They have changed, but quantifying it or qualifying it seems impossible to him.

And the thing is, all of those things aren’t the only new additions to his and Taehyun’s relationship—

—Because there’s also this, Taehyun crawling into his bed that night just like he has been for the last week or so.

Yeonjun snorts when he comes back from washing his face in the bathroom to see Taehyun sitting in the middle of his bed already. He has a big sweatshirt on, hood pulled up and knees pressed to his chest as he looks at something on his phone.

Yeonjun’s bed isn’t exactly big, and the first time Taehyun showed up—the first time since that one night there was the storm, at least—Yeonjun told him that they couldn’t make a habit of it. Because there was no space, and because Yeonjun isn’t able to sleep as deeply when there’s someone else there.

But despite what he said, Yeonjun hasn’t said no to Taehyun once. It’s been getting cold lately, fall weather sinking toward winter, and having someone else to warm up his bed has been… nice. The heat of another body, and the lazy conversation have been more than enough to tip him into a comfortable sleep every night.

It’s not that uncommon for them all to sleep places other than their beds, but Yeonjun can’t help but wonder if Kai has asked yet, where Taehyun has been disappearing to every night. A week seems like a long time to not be in their room. He must have gotten curious, right? Or had Taehyun already told him that he was sleeping with Yeonjun?

That wording makes him shiver. He doesn’t know why his brain catches on to the double meaning of it, but he shuts the door and flicks off the ceiling light before he can spend more time thinking about it.

Collapsing into bed, he nudges Taehyun with his foot until he rolls his eyes and lies down beside him. He doesn’t look away from his phone though. Feeling nosy, Yeonjun peeks his head over Taehyun’s shoulder so he can see the screen.

Instagram is open, to a picture of a smiling boy and girl in school uniforms, their arms wrapped around each other.

“Who’s that?” Yeonjun asks curiously.

Taehyun glances at him, before closing out of the app and turning his phone off. “An old friend from middle school. He and that girl just started dating.”

“Ah,” Yeonjun says. Taehyun props himself up on an arm and reaches over him to put his phone on the bedside table.

It’s quiet for a moment as Taehyun flops back down and pulls the blanket over him.

Then, he suddenly asks, “Hyung? Have you ever dated anyone?”

Yeonjun looks at him. “Yeah,” he says, even though he’s pretty sure Taehyun has heard him talk about it before. “Once back in middle school. After I joined the company though, I never really had time for it, so I didn’t get into any more real relationships.”

Taehyun pauses. “But… not real relationships?”

Yeonjun laughs. Of course Taehyun would catch that—he’s too observant for his own good.

“Well, you know. Just texting, flirting. Non-committal stuff.”

“Why?” Taehyun is looking at him now, shifting onto his side so he can see Yeonjun better. “I mean—what’s the point, if it doesn’t go anywhere?”

“It’s fun,” Yeonjun says simply, smiling at the ceiling. He’s entertained by Taehyun’s questions. It’s not the type of conversation he’d usually get to have with him of all people. “It just feels good, the rush of flirting with someone, and having them flirt back. It doesn’t matter if it’s not going anywhere, it can just be fun, y’know?”

“Hm,” Taehyun says. “I guess that makes sense, for you.”

“Yah!” Yeonjun tries to sound disciplinary, but he can’t help his surprised laugh. He smacks Taehyun’s arm. “What’s that supposed to mean, huh?”

Taehyun catches Yeonjun’s hand, looking unimpressed. Yeonjun fights against his grip, just to be difficult, and Taehyun easily pins his arms down on either side of his head, smirking down at him.

“I think I’m stronger than you now, hyung.”

Oh, it’s on. Yeonjun surges up to throw Taehyun off, twisting his left wrist out of his hold and grabbing at his sweatshirt to tug him backwards. Taehyun clearly expects the retaliation because he’s quick to react, throwing a leg over Yeonjun’s hips and sitting on his lower stomach hard. He wrestles Yeonjun’s arms back down against the bed, grinning smugly.

Of course Taehyun doesn’t give in easily when it’s a matter of his pride. He taps a finger against Yeonjun’s wrist teasingly.

“All I meant, hyung, was that it makes sense you have so much experience with flirting.”

“Yeah?” Yeonjun huffs a laugh. “The same could be said about you, Taehyunie.”

Taehyun looks confused, and Yeonjun gives a pointed look at his position still sitting on top of him.

Taehyun releases his wrists like he’s been burned.

“Hyung, that’s not—it isn’t flirting—” he splutters, and Yeonjun snickers at his flustered expression.

“Why not? I think most people would qualify this as flirting.”

Teasing, Yeonjun cants his hips up, lifting Taehyun several centimeters into the air.

Thinking clearly, Yeonjun would probably know that this counts as crossing the line with Taehyun. Par for the course maybe with Soobin, but Taehyun is bright red and Yeonjun doesn’t know the boundaries of this type of thing when it comes to him. But strangely, something tells him not to stop—the urge to keep pushing crashes through him like a wave.

Taehyun’s hands fall to his chest to hold himself up when he gets unbalanced by Yeonjun’s hips, and his wide eyes narrow quickly. Digging his nails into Yeonjun’s sternum, he shoves Yeonjun’s hips back down into the bed with his butt.

“If you call this flirting, then what about the stuff you do with us every time you’re on camera?” he hisses. Something in Yeonjun’s stomach lights—there’s his competitive Taehyunie. He smiles.

“That’s fanservice,” he says. “It’s different when there’s a camera.”

Taehyun rolls his eyes. “Well then, it’s a shame there isn’t a camera right now. I’m sure the fans would love to see you like this.”

Despite himself, he doesn’t really have to ask what Taehyun means—he can imagine what he looks like from Taehyun’s point of view, hair messy on the pillow, shirt scrunched up under Taehyun’s legs and face warm from the excitement of all the teasing. He rests his hands on top of Taehyun’s thighs, over his sweatpants.

“Too bad for them. Only you get to see me like this, Taehyunie.”

Unintentionally, he flips some invisible switch with those words. Taehyun stills above him.

Feeling bold, Yeonjun rubs his hands slowly up Taehyun’s thighs, then back down again. He tilts his head.

“You’ve been chasing after me the past several weeks, haven’t you?” he asks lightly. “Well, you caught me. Now what?”

Taehyun swallows, looking a bit like a deer caught in headlights. His fingers flex against Yeonjun’s chest, and the flush has traveled down his neck now. Before Yeonjun can make the joke—haha, and that’s how you flirt, come back tomorrow for another lesson—Taehyun’s hips shift the slightest bit, and Yeonjun unintentionally glances downward.

What he sees makes his heart skip and his breath catch in his throat. Because—it’s obvious, with Taehyun’s loose-fitting sweatpants. They’re tented slightly. Taehyun is getting turned on by this.

Before Yeonjun is able to react, Taehyun is throwing his leg back over Yeonjun’s body, lifting himself up and off and squishing himself back on the other side of the bed facing the wall. Yeonjun starts at the sudden movement, watching Taehyun withdraw from him for only a moment before he remembers to do something.

“Taehyunie,” he gasps, sitting up. “I’m—oh my god, I’m so sorry!”

Taehyun squeaks, face hidden in his hands as he cowers against the wall.

“W-why are you sorry, hyung?!” he yelps, voice muffled by his palms.

“Because…” Yeonjun chews on his lip anxiously, wanting to reach out to get Taehyun to look at him but not sure if it’s a good idea. “Because, I clearly went too far, and that was totally inappropriate… I really should have known better. I did know better, I was just—” Yeonjun swallows. “I’m so sorry, I was totally harassing you.”

Taehyun makes a loud, frustrated noise, and lowers his hands just long enough to shoot a venomous look over his shoulder.

“You weren’t harassing me, hyung, don’t be stupid. I obviously—I obviously liked it, it wasn’t harassment.”

Yeonjun freezes, dumbfounded.

“You…” he mumbles, brain trying to process the words. “Taehyun-ah. Kang Taehyun, look at me right now.”

Reluctantly, Taehyun turns slowly until he’s lying on his back. His fingers lower so he’s peeking over them up at Yeonjun, but he keeps his mouth covered. Yeonjun exhales shakily.

“Hey, it’s okay,” he says gently, tentatively resting a hand on Taehyun’s elbow. “It’s fine, Taehyunie, you don’t have to be embarrassed.”

Taehyun’s eyes squeeze shut again. “Easy for you to say,” he snips. Yeonjun’s shoulders slump, overcome with fondness despite the tenseness of the moment.

“Hey,” Yeonjun says. “If you hadn’t moved, I probably would’ve been in the exact same situation within a minute.”

It’s not that he’s lying to Taehyun just to comfort him, but he also doesn’t realize how true the words are until he says them. He bites his lip at the way it makes his stomach flip.

Taehyun peeks his eyes open again, looking at him suspiciously.

“You’re lying,” he accuses, but Yeonjun just shakes his head. “Then…”

Yeonjun leans his weight on one hand, moving the other to reach out carefully, brushing his fingers through Taehyun’s hair.

“You’re really pretty, Taehyunie, you know that?”

Taehyun stares at him, seemingly in disbelief, and Yeonjun keeps smiling down at him. He takes Taehyun’s wrists in one hand, and pulls them down, revealing the bottom half of his face. He leans down toward him.

“Hyung,” Taehyun says quickly, stopping Yeonjun in his tracks. His voice quiets a moment later, only just above a whisper as he confesses, “Hyung, I like you.”

A grin splits Yeonjun’s face. He puts a hand on Taehyun’s cheek, swiping his thumb over his bottom lip. “Yeah?” he teases. “I couldn’t tell.”

He nearly gets his thumb bitten for that.

“You suck at being confessed to,” Taehyun grumbles.

“Oh really?” Yeonjun laughs, leaning the rest of the way down so he’s hovering just above Taehyun. “Tell me that again in a few minutes.”

And then he kisses him.

If someone had told Yeonjun a month ago that he would soon find himself kissing one of his dongsaengs, he would almost definitely have twisted their arm over it. But now that he’s here, he wonders desperately how it took him so long.

He starts off slow, conscious of Taehyun beneath him and unsure how much he’s comfortable with as he moves his lips gently. When Taehyun makes an encouraging noise, Yeonjun cups both of his cheeks and kisses him with a little more force, feeling himself get lost in the daze of eliminating as much distance between their mouths as possible.

He leans away for a second, breaths, “Okay?” and Taehyun is nodding immediately, fisting a hand in Yeonjun’s hair and tugging him right back to his mouth.

Yeonjun groans into the kiss, surprised by how eager Taehyun is to take control as he devours Yeonjun whole. He hazily tries to recall if Taehyun had ever mentioned experience before in dating, in kissing, but nothing surfaces. Either Taehyun had kept quiet about it, or he’s just a really blessed natural at it, in which case Yeonjun should ask him where he gets his luck from.

But right now, he’s too focused on this: moving his knee between Taehyun’s legs, making it easier for him to balance over his body, and press the weight of his torso down into Taehyun. He shifts a hand to Taehyun’s side and runs it from the top of his ribcage down to his hip, feeling tingles all over his own skin at the way it makes Taehyun moan into his mouth.

Wanting more, Yeonjun runs his tongue across Taehyun’s bottom lip. His mouth falls open immediately, and the hand in Yeonjun’s hair tightens as their tongues meet.

Yeonjun can’t believe how good it feels, how warm and soft and addicting Taehyun is underneath him, leaving him shuddering with how much he wants to get lost in him.

But as he shifts to do just that, both of them are given a sudden reminder—Yeonjun’s leg goes higher between Taehyun’s, and they break apart with a gasp as Yeonjun’s thigh brushes against Taehyun’s growing hard on.

Yeonjun looks down at Taehyun’s scrunched up face with disbelief for a moment, then huffs out a laugh. He pulls back, but only far enough to flop onto his side next to Taehyun.

Wrapping an arm around his waist, he plants a final kiss on his cheek. “Well?”

Taehyun is still breathing pretty heavily, but he squints his eyes open long enough to give Yeonjun a look. “Well what?”

“Do you still think I’m bad at being confessed to?” he asks cheekily. “Or was that enough to convince you?”

“You just felt exactly how I feel, hyung. You don’t need me to tell you.”

That surprises a full laugh out of Yeonjun, and he has to muffle it against Taehyun’s shoulder.

They both know that it’s not really the time to do anything beyond kissing, and even though Taehyun is right—and it’s pretty clear they both want to—Yeonjun figures he should be responsible about at least one thing tonight.

“Well, since you haven’t felt me…” Yeonjun cups Taehyun’s cheek again, turning his face toward him. He smiles fondly, stroking his thumb over Taehyun’s cheekbone. “I’ll just tell you how I feel. I like you too, Taehyunie.”

Taehyun’s face spasms a little, like he’s trying not to react too much. He looks past Yeonjun’s eyes, to the far wall behind him.

“Oh,” he says, a little faintly.

“Ah, you’re so cute, Taehyunie,” Yeonjun giggles, “I know this isn’t the first time someone has confessed to you, about a hundred Moas do it every fansign.”

“Hyung,” Taehyun says, exasperated. “That’s obviously not the same thing.”

“I just can’t believe I finally figured it out.”

Taehyun rolls onto his side, so he and Yeonjun are facing each other. “What?”

“What was making you act so weird all those weeks ago,” Yeonjun says. “Following me around like a lost puppy, but doing it in your silent, tsundere Taehyun way.”

Fingers pinch the skin on Yeonjun’s hip where his shirt has been pushed up. He yelps, swatting Taehyun’s hand away.

“Ouch! Stop that, who the hell tortures the only person that can kiss them?”

“Oh, the only person?” Taehyun asks in amusement.

Yeonjun pushes him onto his back, throwing his leg over to straddle him again. He gives Taehyun a stern look. “Yes, the only person. You confessed to me like ten minutes ago, Taehyunie, you’re not already trying to negotiate an open relationship, are you? Because I don’t think I’m very good at sharing.”

Taehyun rolls his eyes at Yeonjun’s nonsense, pulling him closer.

“Just shut up and kiss me again, hyung.”
