CHAPTER 12
The two kept silent the whole time they were alone. Since puck had left not 1 had spoken any word probably worried about what to say.
Subaru didn't know what to feel about the half-elf's reveal. 1 thing for sure though that will never change is how grateful he is to be saved by her. He was very thankful.
Subaru was about to start a conversation when the half-elf had beaten him into it.
"I love you.”
The half-elf said, unaware of it.
“H-huh?”
“Sorry I think my ears are starting to hear things.”
“Can you repeat that?” Subaru asked.
“Hmm? What do you mean Subaru...?"
The half-elf starts to feel light-headed for some reason and with each passing second, her vision starts getting darker and darker.
Unaware of her, Envy is starting to take over to gain control whilst our half-elf starts feeling too tired to stay awake; she succumbs to unconsciousness. Envy took over.
Subaru, of course, didn't know what just occurred since in his perspective the half-elf continued to stay silent since her question so he tried speaking again.
"I thought you said something earlier." Scratching the back of his head Subaru told the half-elf while facing her with his back.
The half-elf only formed a smile while she continued to observe her beloved.
Subaru is starting to get creeped out by the silence and lack of reply making him realize something is not right as he quickly turns around to look at the half-elf.
There he saw a half-elf staring with what seemed like glowing eyes at him with pure admiration and lust as if he were some long lost possession that had been found.
"Mela-tan?" Subaru called the half-elf hoping for any kind of reply.
"I love you!" the half-elf spoke in a low voice that would have insured Subaru if it weren't for the expression she was giving him.
"I love you!" The witch was about to take possession of her beloved to show her love,passion and everything to him.
The half-elf was only a few inches away before snapping back to reality.
"Wh-wha??"
"SSubaru? I didn't do anything to you did I?"
"No! You didn't" Subaru replied.
The half-elf can't believe she just lost control of herself. How could she have let it slip by? This would certainly happen again but when it does she has to get Subaru as safe as possible. Luckily it was just for a few moments.
"I'm really sorry Subaru but please next time I act unusual please stay away from me. I don’t want you to get hurt after all.”
“How would you ever hurt me?” Subaru asked.
“That’s true I suppose but sometimes I’m not myself and I’m afraid that….”
“That I might do something that will make you hate me.
“Don’t worry, there's nothing Mela-tan could ever do to hurt me and even if there is I believe it wouldn’t be her intention.
The half-elf only gave the men a hug. How lucky am I right now to feel his love, affection, attention….
The very thing she has been seeking for almost 400 years… wait 400? Is subaru that old already?
She quickly shook off any questionable thoughts she was thinking. Now only one thing matters and she won’t let anything stand on her way no longer.

“Mela-tan if you don’t mind. Since it’s already going late I’m gonna go get ready for bed also we can’t have you skipping on your beauty sleep now do we?”
“Ccan’t you just stay here with me?” The half-elf asked with a slight blush.
The question caught Subaru way too suddenly face quickly becoming red in color.
“Ssttay here? Wwelll if Mela-tan really wants to I guess I have no choice.”
Subaru tried to play it cool, as much as he really wants it though isn’t this far too quick? This is just his first day in this foreign world after all but before he could say another word he was cut.
“EHEM!!!” A floating figure said.
“I left you two for a few moments and you guys are already planning on staying together? Oh, where has the innocence of my daughter gone? Also, Subaru just because she’s madly in love with you it shouldn’t mean you should rush it.”
The half-elf is a bit disappointed that her beloved couldn’t join her in bed already but perhaps puck is right maybe she was too straightforward.
How could she have already forgotten!? Subaru just came here that was so stupid of her.
“Subaru please head to your bed for tonight you guys can continue your flirting tomorrow.” The floating spirit commanded.
“Ohh yes, father. Good night Mela-tan see you tomorrow.”
“Shut up! You ain’t no son of mine just yet.”
“Good night beloved.” The half-elf said.
The isekaie’d teenager had finally left leaving the witch with her spirit who is beside her.
“So… what has my daughter done with Subaru while I was with betty?”
“Well… We just had some talk with some stuff.”
“Ohh.. what kind of stuff?”
She just blushed hard remembering all those moments a while ago.
“You can’t know. It’s a secret. Now stop asking.”
“I guess my all-powerful daughter is hopeless in the presence of a human she recently met.”
“I wonder what you see in him.”
“Well, you don’t really have to see it cause as long as I see it myself it’s all good.”
