Barbatos, preferably known as Venti the Bard to the public so no one would even assume he was anything but the average Vision holder, shivered the moment he felt someone come into contact with his Archon Status in Starfell Lake. It had been quite some time since anyone had cared about those statues. Not when Mondstadt had a massive one of its own that the people chose to pay reverence to. That one was taken care of religiously and kept in pristine condition ever since it was erected.
As a result, the maintenance of the Archon Statues was failing miserably. He didn't really mind since he'd never wanted to be worshiped for fear of it going to his head and making him another Decarabian at some point.
The people remained fiercely loyal to their god even though they hadn't heard from him in centuries. The disrepair of a few statues wasn't a big deal.
So to feel someone make physical contact with a statue for the first time in a long time was a shock. To feel them somehow absorbing his Anemo energy in the process, was different. So much so that it felt like a piece of his being was pulled off and shoved into another body. He could feel the connection to that piece, but it was distant and now out of his control.
Strange. Who could have been capable of such a thing?
He wanted to see for himself just what had happened… but Dvalin's well-being was more important.
His old friend came first above all else.
Mysteries could wait.
Laying eyes upon the person who had somehow received the blessing of Anemo without it being tied to a Vision, was an otherworldly experience.
From the get go, Venti could tell the traveler wasn't normal. Not needing a Vision wasn't even the tip of the iceberg. The clothes that bore a style not found anywhere in past or present Teyvat. Some of the accents on said clothing glowed with Anemo energy. The faint traces of stardust on the traveler's aura.
Saying they were human would be incorrect. Saying they were mortal would also probably be incorrect.
An unnatural shade of hair typically meant the person in question wasn't human or totally human. At least in Teyvat. Golden hair wasn't normal. Blond was common enough in some nations, but this particular shade wasn't. And to have eyes the exact same color was also unheard of.
The kind of gold that put Mora to shame. It was startling to say the least.
Venti blinked, startled by Dvalin's sudden rage and the traveler's sudden appearance with his pixie friend.
He'd have to do something about that later.
He disappeared to a safer place to better consider everything he knew about what was happening.
From how the traveler moved with a wind glider, it was obvious that he was used to being in the air. Even though he seemed to walk around normally, there looked to be something missing. With how he maneuvered himself in the air while Venti held him up, it became pretty obvious.
He was missing a pair of wings of his own.
Venti would bet everything that the traveler once had wings and someone had grounded him permanently.
Flight was Freedom. To remove such an important part of someone's being was cruel.
He found himself contemplating how they were removed. By magic? By physical force? Would there be scars left behind? Would he even be able to talk about the experience should Venti ask?
The desire to speak with the windborne traveler was growing stronger by the minute.
He was touching the statue again. Offering up some anemoculi he'd found somehow. Venti shuddered as the statue absorbed the power and transferred it to the Anemo God through their link via the Gnosis in his chest.
He hadn't felt quite so revitalized in a long time.
Venti wanted to speak with the traveler, but it wasn't time yet.
Watching from a distance however was entirely acceptable. Getting mesmerized by his long braid as it fluttered in the wind was a bit not good but since he wasn't acting on his urge to touch it to see just how soft it actually was, he'd excuse his own weakness for pretty things.
And the traveler was indeed very pretty.
So pretty.
Venti was weak in the knees!
And that wasn't even the best part.
The traveler walked around in a shirt that showed off his midriff. And when he stretched, his shirt would ride up revealing more and more of his skin. It looked especially taunting when he was laying down and stretching upon waking up in the morning. The arch of his spine coupled with the revealing clothing was suggestive and Venti was parched and weak from it.
Being attracted to someone hadn't happened in… several hundred years.
He was typically too uninterested or tired to consider such things.
But he was considering it now!
Venti just… wanted to put his mouth on that expanse of skin and just have a small taste. The blond looked like he'd be incredibly warm to the touch. And he'd taste sweet. There was no explanation for that assumption, but Venti just had a feeling. Nice and sweet on the tongue. Like Dandelion Wine.
He was already salivating.
Once again he was jolted from his daydreams by the loud voice of the traveler's pixie friend.
This was not the time!
"You're from that day with the dragon," the traveler stated once the surrounding people returned to their daily lives. "You disappeared in a flash of light."
"Oh, yeah!" his little floating friend gasped. "Paimon forgot all about that part! Good catch."
The two shared a smirk, and all Venti could think about was the shape of the traveler's mouth and how pleasing it was to the eye. And how he'd like to make it take on many other shapes in many other ways.
Why was he cursed to be attracted to pretty things?
Even when he was just a wisp, he'd gravitate toward things that shined and looked nice.
"Are you okay?"
He blinked back into the present, and found himself standing before his own statues, with the traveler's face very close. So close that their foreheads were touching! This close he could see the vibrancy of those golden eyes and the individual colors than made up such an interesting shade of gold.
So much gold.
"You don't seem to have a fever," the traveler murmured. "But your face is red and you look dazed."
Venti, while dying internally, searched for an excuse and thankfully found one pretty easily. "I've been poisoned."
And so he had to explain just what that even meant.
The problem… the floating pixie didn't seem to totally believe him judging by the look on her face. He hoped she didn't say anything to her companion. He really didn't need this right now.
Dvalin first; lust second.
He would feel more comfortable indulging in these thoughts later on.
Okay, maybe things were moving a little too fast. He wasn't exactly sure how things were considered these days, since he'd been sleeping for so long, but to a god this was definitely moving fast!
He was a god. An Archon. He'd been around for a long time. Had seen war and death and plague and suffering. Had witnessed love and loss over the years. Had slept for centuries at a time even.
Yet even he knew this was… fast.
A god tripping over his own feet because he was flustered by a beautiful being bearing a human appearance. Nearly smashing his face off the ground and having to be caught in the arms of the traveler.
Aether, he reminded himself. The traveler invited him to use his name. Aether. Such a unique name. Definitely not one from Teyvat. Venti wondered what it meant.
But back to the matter at hand. Tripping and basically falling into this beautiful stranger's arms… and liking it. Getting to feel his deceptively strong arms close around his own slight frame. Feeling the warmth Aether seemed to radiate.
That familiar thirst was back. It'd been maybe a week and he was still not over this feeling.
And after this it'd probably take even longer for him to properly adjust. He'd dream about this very moment for weeks to come.
"Careful there," Aether said softly, golden eyes seemingly warming up even further with his concern. "They really need to fix this road, huh?"
"Uh… thanks." When did he become so breathless?
Venti was very clearly aware that if he was in his 'divine form' as the old sisters of the Church of Favonius used to say, Aether would have been touching his bare waist. In that form, where he appeared more ethereal for a specific reason, he was barely clothed. All innocent and beautiful and supposedly able to grant visions of the afterlife.
He couldn't but that had been the rumor back then and no one could be convinced otherwise.
Anyway, what he was trying to say was he regretted not keeping that style because he'd love to have Aether's hands on his bare skin.
He was so glad he decided to have skin.
Wait, that sounded weird.
Venti- Barbatos, whatever name was used didn't matter to be honest. He, himself, wasn't human or mortal. In fact, while he preferred He/Him, Venti wasn't even a man or male. Venti had never even been born. His true form was literally wind. As he grew stronger and his connection to the internal energy of Teyvat grew, he became capable of more things. Such as shapeshifting. The form he currently used wasn't even one he came up with, but one he borrowed from an old friend who deserved to be remembered for daring to face down a tyrant on behalf of the land's well-being.
If he wanted, he could look like anything. Like a human or an animal. A cup. A plate. A tree. His powers made him capable of much.
So choosing to look like a human had been the best option. Human bodies were so sensitive. His own body was quite sensitive because he'd made it so. Made it in their image.
So he meant that he was glad his form was one with naked skin because at some point he would potentially feel Aether's own skin against his. And he wanted it. Wanted to feel all of it.
He wanted Aether's hands around his slim waist, caressing the softness there. He wanted to see him react to Venti's 'divine form' and see how he reacted to the speed in which Venti's body could turn dark pink from the lightest of touches.
Would he be pleasing to the eye? Would Aether want to touch him in return?
The unknown was killing him!
Anyway, he kept getting sidetracked!
What he wanted to make note of, was how being in such close contact with Aether seemed to completely purify his body of the poison he'd been tainted by when he'd interacted with Dvalin.
The slight pain ringing at the back of his mind was just gone entirely. All because of Aether. Who could purify Dvalin's tears. And the Holy Lyre. And rejuvenate the old Archon Statues.
Venti was so impressed… and obsessed with the traveler.
This was not safe.
He also did not care.
Aether smiling was like the shining of the sun in the early morning.
A very corny and unoriginal way to describe a smile, especially for a bard, but he couldn't help it. When Aether was happy, his eyes and hair glowed just a tiny bit. Like a remnant of the power he no longer had access to was able to peek through just a bit.
The story behind that had been… heart-wrenching.
He'd accompanied Aether to the library, and under the careful eye of Ms. Lisa, they explored the shelves together. Venti had made so dumb excuse to join. He didn't even remember what he said but the traveler hadn't told him off so he assumed his company was accepted.
Inside, Aether ended up sitting at a table with a stack of books all on the history of Teyvat.
"My sister and I are travelers," he'd explained as his eyes flitted between the open books on the table. He was cross-referencing information. "We were born under the same constellation."
Aether held up a hand and within his palm formed a miniature constellation with the night sky as its backdrop. "This is Viator, the masculine name for the constellation. It means Traveler. Where we're from, the constellation you were born under decides what power you possess. Since it's a power granted by the stars you were born under, it bears profound meaning."
The stars in his palm turned in a circle so Venti could see the whole constellation from every angle.
"Being a Traveler means rarely staying in one place for too long. We were given the power to traverse space and time. Why not put it to good use? We've been traveling for a long time."
That had been mind-blowing for Venti. Time Travel.
"When you say time…"
Aether smiled. "It's not as easy as it sounds. Control over time comes with a price. Say I wanted to travel back a few centuries in Teyvat. I would be using a lot of magic to do so. I'd put myself in a coma if my body lost that much energy at once. I wouldn't die but I'd be asleep for a long time as my body recuperated. Probably the same amount of time I just traversed, which would mean I time-traveled for nothing. Now if my sister was here and we joined our powers and split the difference, we probably wouldn't pass out but we'd be incapable of using our other powers for years. The cost isn't worth the effort essentially."
"But you'd be able to go back like a day or a week perhaps?"
"If my power wasn't sealed, yes. That wouldn't harm me at all. It seems almost convenient that I'm sealed right now, huh? I could probably fix a lot of problems if I was at full strength. It would be nothing new to me after all."
From those words, Venti learned that Aether was a fixer of sorts. Traveling to new places, saving lives everywhere he went, and never settling down. Always being the hero alongside his twin sister.
Based on how he spoke, he was definitely old. It had to be tiresome never getting to rest. Always moving. Always helping. Always sacrificing for others. And the one time he isn't constantly in motion is because his sister was kidnapped and his power was sealed by some unknown god.
Did Aether ever get to do anything for himself?
If not, would he be receptive to Venti's pampering?
Venti wanted to give him good things. Lavish him with fine attention and treat him well. Make him just rest and accept Venti's adoration. See him purr like a pleased kitten as he was taken care of.
Feeling like this for someone he'd only known for a couple weeks was really moving too fast.
He didn't care.
The sound of his current obsession's voice broke through his daydreaming about said obsession. "Venti! Come down!"
Excited, he floated down from the tree without hesitation since it was Aether calling to him. Aether could probably order him to do anything and Venti would hop to it just to see his sunshine smile.
He found a bright, shiny, red apple being held out to him. "Since you like them so much," Aether said with a sweet smile.
He'd noticed Venti's favorite food.
Be still his heart, he might weep. He was feeling lightheaded.
"Thank you," he said softly, accepting the offering with a gentle caress to Aether's palm in passing. He missed the days when people gave offerings. Usually it was wine but that was actually something he'd like about godhood. Free stuff.
"Oh! I got you this too!"
Paimon sighed from where she was floating, eyes rolling skyward as Aether withdrew a cecilia from his bottomless pit of a bag. The flower was held out much like the apple had been. "Your favorite flower too. I was up the mountain on a few commissions today and picked a few thinking of you when I did."
He even paid enough attention to notice that? Venti was flatted and thrilled! This was a good sigh!
Aether giggled adorably. "You wear one in your hair, Venti. Of course I'd notice that."
He just really liked flowers. And apples. And wine. And Aether. All very nice things.
Unfortunately, Aether couldn't get him wine. Despite being older than much of the dirt on Teyvat, he looked too young and nobody would sell him any alcohol. It was such a shame.
Feeling flirtatious and bolder than usual, Venti fluttered his lashes and smiled his most pleasing smile. "Your offerings are most appreciated, dear disciple. You've pleased your god well."
The widening of Aether's eyes made his entire body thrum with excitement. Something was happening!
He was nervous and happy and wanted to know how Aether would respond! This could go so many ways!
There was a moment of silence, and then Aether stepped closer, golden eyes becoming shadowed because of the tree leaves. He grabbed Venti's hand, the one still holding the apple, and brought them both to his lips where he gave the fruit a very deliberate stroke with his tongue, teasing the edge of Venti's palm in the process. "Is the offering still acceptable now, Lord Barbatos?"
His whole body tingled and he grew hard instantly. It was the first time he'd seen Aether behave in such a way. It was arousing but different to how Venti was normally aroused by him. And hearing his actual name being used... oh, that was nice.
"Paimon is leaving! Paimon doesn't want to see you two flirting!" the pixie announced as she turned away.
She was ignored as she left.
More important things were happening.
Through his parched throat, Venti managed to say, "Of course. It's even more worthy now."
"Prove it."
Damn.
Without hesitating, Venti brought the now wet apple to his own lips and took a very generous bite. This was basically an indirect kiss now. HIs body felt so hot under his clothes. His decision to wear so many layers these days was foolish! His erection was beginning to strain against his clothing.
If only the sweetness he was tasting was from Aether himself and not the apple.
Maybe something on his face gave it all away. He wasn't sure. It didn't matter.
What mattered was Aether slotting their mouths together and taking that piece of apple into his own mouth before Venti could even do anything with it.
A warm hand reached up to cup the back of his head, and Venti dropped his precious offerings in favor of wrapping himself around any part of Aether he could reach. He wanted to get as physically close as possible to the star-born traveler. Wanted to climb inside Aether and become one with him.
His obsession was unhealthy.
So little time had passed yet so much want had built up already. The need to claim and be claimed was too powerful.
With one hand to hold Venti's head in place, Aether trailed his other downward, over his waist and his hip, down past his pert bottom in order to grab his thigh and hike it up as high as he could get it so he could hook it around his hip.
He never would have thought of Aether as one to take control in this kind of situation, but the desire to stamp his ownership on Aether in a way so very unlike him, seemed to melt at the thought of Aether claiming him. Mondstadt's own god, the Anemo Archon of Teyvat, marked and owned by someone so beautiful. Some not even of their world.
He shivered at the thought. He wanted it.
Aether would never harm him or use such control against him. That was why it seemed so appealing despite all Barbatos the God stood for.
Just him and Aether and nothing else.
The hardness pressing into his core made him moan. Aether's hips shifted forward against him, making his interest very well known. The grind was slow and teasing, taunting him with what he'd been so greedy for as of late.
He swore silently, wanting something to happen. So many options in situations like this. Which was the best? The most appealing?
Aether moved forward, forcing Venti backward until they reached the Archon Statue. With unexpected confidence, he pushed Venti down until he was seated on the base, causing the statue to light up from the contact. The power made his body hum with energy. It felt like he was being touched all over.
He stared up as the traveler, enjoying the possessive look he received.
Without regret, Aether dropped to his knees at the base of the statue, placing his hands on Venti's hips to pull him forward as far as he could manage. Hips tilted upward, encouraging him to lay back and be taken care of.
Venti just barely managed to fit but maybe it was because Aether was practically bending him in half to strip him that it all worked out.
When his stockings and bottoms were cast aside, Venti was pulled closer until his thighs bracketed Aether's head and the blond got a face full of cock.
"So naughty to do this out in public," he managed to say, every breath feeling more intense than it should. His body throbbed with want and his lungs wanted fresh air badly.
"It's sunset. Who's going to come to Windrise now?" Aether asked offhandedly before taking Venti's cock into his mouth.
The sensation was unexpected. This hadn't been what he'd been envisioning for the past couple weeks. He'd wanted to do this to Aether. Gently coaxing him to orgasm over and over. Perhaps bringing him to tears through pleasure alone.
The idea of being the cause of such reactions made his ego swell and his brain devised many plots to make it happen.
He'd had a plan that involved Windrise even.
Yet there Aether went, ruining his plans. Again. In a much more pleasant way this time.
It was especially cruel of him to hold down Venti's hips, preventing him from fully expressing himself as that hot tongue massaged his shaft over and over. Underneath, along the veins, and then up against the glans. Aether dug the tip of his tongue right into Venti's sensitive slit and gave a hard suck, forcing Venti's back to arch unexpectedly.
It wasn't that Venti was small. He was actually pretty average in length. Nothing overly special in his opinion, but he could work with it. And make it larger if he wanted to, which he didn't really want to at the moment. Maybe when it was time for him to take control, then he could surprise Aether with that particular skill.
So he wasn't small, but Aether being able to take all six inches at once was impressive. No hesitation needed. No second thoughts. He took Venti all the way down and swallowed.
He had skill in this.
Fuck.
The thumbs pressing into his hips pushed down a little harder, and the sharp pain from the act made him throb down below. He could feel the strain in his cock. A familiar one as of late. Aether inspired too many naughty thoughts after all.
The sounds Aether's mouth made as it moved up and down Venti's cock were obscene. Not fit for polite company. Suggestive and in no way could they be confused for anything other than what they were.
He was so close. So very close. He'd made himself cum several times ever since he'd seen Aether for the first time. But the buildup of this one, and just how it was building…
He was about to be wrecked.
And Aether didn't seem inclined to let up any time soon.
Damn.
Venti's hands latched onto that unruly, golden hair, reaching for that braid he'd become so obsessed with. He pulled on it, forcing Aether's head even closer, wanting more and more of that sweet mouth on his body. He planned to return the favor later on after all, but for now it was all about him.
His body strained as it twitched and turned and tried to curl in on itself in response to the stimulation. His core was already aching and it'd only been a few minutes. His thighs shook as they squeezed Aether's head in place, trying to keep him from going anywhere. His hands clutched at those golden strands even tighter.
Aether pulled up with a slow glide, making sure to use his tongue liberally as he went. Then, applying that same painful pressure to Venti's hips again, apparently understanding that it fulfilled some kind of pain kink Venti had long since buried, he shoved himself all the way down, allowing the tip of Venti's cock to fill his throat as he swallowed.
Venti came instantly, like releasing a burst of elemental energy but more intense. His statue, still warm and glowing beneath him, thrummed with energy along their connection, prolonging the experience and making his vision white out entirely.
When he finally came to, he found himself limply splayed out, Aether laving at his sensitive nipples. His shirt and vest had been removed at some point…
Since when was his chest this sensitive? He moaned.
"You're back right?" asked Aether as he pinched one nipple teasingly. "I'm not done with you yet."
Oh, fuck.
