Chapter Text
John had recently come to terms with his feelings.
He liked Seraphina.
Nothing was going to change that. His heart thumped every time she came into his field of view, it raced when they made any sort of contact, he day-dreamed of going on dates with her, the list could go on.
John was seriously whipped for Seraphina. Although, he wasn't the only one.

John and Seraphina were seated next to each other, on the rooftop. The two of them just idly chatting and playing flappy bird to pass their lunch break.
"Hey John, I'm gonna go to the restroom. Also lunch ends in 10 minutes, so go to your class. I'll see you when school ends!" Seraphina told John, motioning him to follow.
"I think I'll stay up here for a bit longer, you head on without me" He replied. Seraphina shrugged and said her byes, with John returning the gesture.
As he set a timer for 5 minutes, John tilted his head back, letting himself relax his beating heart. He only came to terms with his feelings a few days ago but it feels like every passing day he falls harder for Seraphina. He focused on doing deep breaths, making himself as comfortable as one could in a few minutes.
Once his alarm rang, he got up and was about to leave when someone came in through the door. He thought it would've been Seraphina, maybe she forgot something? But he was met with the president of the student council.
He never liked him, Arlo was too conceited and self absorbed. The feeling appeared to be mutual.
"Oh it's you," John grumbled beneath his breath, but being Arlo being Arlo heard it. "Don't talk to me like that, I'm your superior." Arlo snipped back, distaste evident in his tone.
"What are you doing here?" John simply ignored Arlo. It would be a lost cause to even try and arguing with him.
Arlo got closer to John, faces mere inches apart.
"John. Do you like Seraphina?"
"And that concerns you.. how?"
"It concerns me because Seraphina is mine. Back off"
John's eyes widened as the bell rang, and Arlo pushed him away as he went to go to his classes.
"What?" He decided to ignore it as he went to go to his classes, but it still lingered on the back of his mind no matter what he did to try and distract his thoughts.
