I Can Be A Better Boyfriend Than Him

Summary:

Viktor is running out of shimmer, when he’s given an opportunity to get more, courtesy of Mel’s mother Ambessa. All he has to do … is relax. (Was originally going to be a two chapter one-shot but my OC clawed its way out of my brain like a zombie out of its grave and people seem to be eating him up, so .... the show must go on.)

!!Previously titled That Gives The Pleasure!! The title changed due to a change in direction of the story.

Chapter Text

I could be a better boyfriend than him
I could do the shit that he never did
Up all night, I won't quit
Thinking I'm gonna steal you from him
I could be such a gentleman
Plus all my clothes would fit.

Viktor heard the creak of the door and instantly grabbed the tray from his desk. He pulled it in front of himself, hiding the drug from view and shoved it into a drawer next to him.

“I already saw it,” there was no judgement in the voice that came, and it was one he did not recognize. Who would come into his lab this late? The question was a mere millisecond of time before he turned to look at who had entered.

“Mrs Medarda!” Viktor said, immediately standing from his chair without even thinking about the fact that his crutch was leaning at the end of his desk out of his reach. A fact that she clearly did not overlook.

“Jayce and Mel both speak highly of you Viktor,” she said, gesturing for him to sit back down and she picked up his crutch, moving it to within arms reach. A silent indication that he should have it nearby if anyone else were to walk in. “And from what I hear, you’re the true brain behind hex tech.”

So that’s why she was here. Viktor sat back down in his stool and looked back at the hex core. He’d heard she was here to try to weaponize hex tech.

“I won’t help you, if that’s why you’re here, I’m a scientist, not a weapons manufacturer. If you want that you’d do better in the Undercity. Plenty of them there.” Viktor said and she smirked.

“You have a spine, I can appreciate that,” she said. “But that’s not why I’m here.” Viktor looked at her curiously as she walked up beside him. “Mel had voiced a concern that you are working too much, personally I see the merit behind your actions. There is no harm in hard work, and the benefits are always better than relaxation. However, I do agree with her that too much hard work can be detrimental to your overall goal.”

“She told you all this?” Viktor asked sceptically.

“No, she told Jayce this. I just overheard,” she said as she regarded him. “One night won’t kill you.”

“It very well might,” Viktor muttered under his breath. “I have a lot of work to do tonight, perhaps another night.” he didn’t know what she had in mind, but he had too much to do.

“You seem like a very honest man, Viktor,” she said and his eyes shifted to look up at her. “Are you?”

“That seems like a double-edged question. If I say yes, you’ll take me for a liar, if I say no, you’ll take that as honesty, which would prove your question's answer to be yes, in which would make me still a liar,” Viktor said. She couldn’t help the low chuckle that escaped her.

“I can see why they like you so much. You have spunk,” she moved a bit too close for Viktor’s comfort and he moved his stool back a bit. “Tell me Viktor, do you like men or women?”

“Excuse me?” Viktor said, stunned.

“You heard the question, it’s a simple one really, do you like men, or women?” she asked again. “I don’t make it a habit of repeating myself.”

“I don’t see how that is any business of yours,” he turned his stool to look back at his papers and her hand slammed down over them making him jump.

“I won’t ask again,” she said.

“Then don’t,” Viktor said and he pushed his stool away from her again and stood up. She stood nearly half a head taller than him, but still, he looked up at her. “I did not invite you in here, nor do you have a reason to be. I will ask you to leave, please.”

“Oh, you said please, I guess I should listen,” she laughed. “Is that all you got? I thought they built them tougher in the Undercity. I guess I was wrong. Perhaps your time in Piltover has done you no favours.”

She watched as a look of anger came over Viktor’s face and the transformation, in her opinion, was amazing.

“I’m not here to fight, Viktor,” she said with a wave of her hand as she stepped away. Not backing down, but she was telling the truth, she hadn’t come here to fight. “If you answer my question, I’ll leave you to your work.”

Viktor watched her as she walked across the room, her hand running over the metal frame of the hex claw which currently did not have its power source inside of it. Viktor sighed as he sat back down on his stool. He felt entirely uncomfortable with this and wished she would leave.

“I am married to my work, I have no time for either gender,” Viktor said and she shook her head.

“Somehow I doubt that,” she said as Viktor glared up at her before he looked away, staring at the hex core.

“Men,” Viktor said tightly and he heard her feet pause on the floor.

“Masculine? Or do you prefer a softer touch?” She asked and Viktor cringed as she came closer.

“Either,” Viktor said quietly. “Why are you asking me these questions?”

“Curiosity,” she said.

“Did you ask Jayce the same questions?” he asked.

“Jayce is in love with my daughter,” she didn’t miss the sneer that came over his mouth as he looked away from her. “I don’t need to ask him his type, I already know.”

“Will you leave my lab now that I’ve answered your questions?” He asked, “I really do have a lot of work to do.”

“Only if you promise you’ll come find me in the atrium at seven,” she said. “I intend to force a night of relaxation onto you!”

Somehow Viktor didn’t like the sound of that. “I think our definitions of ‘relaxation’ differ greatly.”

“Perhaps, perhaps not,” Ambessa said. “But there will be a vial of shimmer in it for you as well,” she said and instantly she knew she had him hook line and sinker. “With the bridges closed, I don’t think that’s too easy to come by, now is it?” She opened the drawer and pulled out the vial he’d hidden from her, showing that it was half empty. “How long do you think this will last?” she tossed the vial onto the desk and he watched her walk towards the door. “Seven PM, don’t be late.”

---

Viktor twisted the levers on the hex core, realigning the symbols in various different patterns that he’d become very familiar with over the last few months. Every so often he would glance at the clock.

6:00 PM.

6:12 PM.

6:34 PM.

6:49 PM.

6:50 PM.

6:51 PM.

6:52 PM.

He pushed himself away from the desk and threw his hands up in the air before he ran his fingers through his hair. He needed that shimmer! He’d already had to use the last of what he’d had to repower his leg. It hadn’t taken him long to realise that it very quickly starts losing power, and his run through the harbour hadn’t done him any favours.

It didn’t stop working entirely, but it had definitely started weakening in the same way it had before it had transformed into this strange metal mechanical works.

6:53 PM.

He was looking at the clock nearly every minute now. It would take him nearly five minutes to walk down to the atrium. It wasn’t far. But did he trust her?

What did she even want with him? Surely she had enough attention from her little boy toy that she wouldn’t want anything to do with a cripple like him, but he couldn’t understand her motives.

Still ….

6:54 PM.

He needed the shimmer.

He picked up his crutch and stepped away from the hex core, moving towards the door and he locked the lab behind him, pocketing his keys. Down the hall, he ran into Sky and he instantly felt his body tense.

“Viktor!” She said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

“Sky, I need you to do me a favour,” he said and she nodded.

“Of course!” she said as he handed her his keys.

“Just keep them safe for me tonight,” he said. “Open the lab for me tomorrow at seven at the latest!”

“Does this mean you’re going home?” Sky asked, surprised. “I’m glad to see you taking care of yourself. You deserve a good night's sleep.”

“Eehh, sure. Not quite, I have a meeting, but yes after that, I will be going home.”

“Oh,” Sky sounded disappointed. “I was hoping we could walk together. I could wait for you if you like.”

“Eh, no!” Viktor said. “I don’t know how long I’ll be. I wouldn’t want to keep you waiting. Just come and open the door tomorrow morning, will be fine.”

“Alright,” she said quietly. “I’ll be here. Have a good night Viktor,” she pushed up her glasses as he walked away, her eyes trailing over him before she turned and walked back down the hall.

The run-in with Sky put him behind and by the time he reached the atrium, it was 7:01.

“I thought I told you not to be late,” Ambessa said.

“I thought you’d make an exception for a cripple with several mobility issues,” he said, and she watched him walk up to her relying on his crutch where as he hadn’t before. She watched him curiously but didn’t comment. “What is it you want?”

“Follow me,” she said and he held no reaction as she walked away. He was surprised she held pace with him, allowing him to walk at a speed that was comfortable for him. It was hard to imagine this woman accommodating anyone, especially with one lacking in physical ability.

She led him outside to the street and he didn’t know why he felt embarrassed as he walked beside her. For all anyone knew, she could be consulting him in a scientific manner. But he felt like everyone was watching him, boring straight into his mind and into his thoughts, intruding on his paranoia.

He had no idea what her plans were here. Did she want him in some way? Did she want to watch him with her little boy toy? He shivered at the thought. She had mentioned a night of relaxation, but that did not mean it was guaranteed to be relaxing … in any way he spun it, he was imagining a night of stress, no matter what happened.

His intrusive thoughts were getting the better of him and he hoped his body wasn’t betraying his thoughts. He made an effort to try to walk normally, to breathe normally, but the more he tried to do it normally, he felt like he was doing it more strangely.

“Calm down,” Ambessa said as she placed her large hand on his shoulder. “You’re working yourself up.”

Apparently, he hadn’t been as good at hiding it as he’d hoped.

He said nothing, just swallowed nervously as she led him into a building he’d seen but had never been in before. A hotel by the looks of it and he glanced around to see if anyone was watching. He didn’t know why this bothered him so much. Many people held business meetings here in the lounge or in the dining hall.

Nothing untoward was guaranteed to be happening. He felt his anxiety rising as she walked straight past the person at the front desk who simply glanced up at her and ignored him completely. That was fine with him.

He followed her up to the first floor, and down the hall to room 108. He could feel his anxiety rising more the closer they got and her intentions became clearer and clearer. Just what did she expect from him?

She opened the door and he followed her inside, his sweaty hand playing over the grip on his crutch. Once inside she closed the door behind him and he couldn’t help but gawk at the place. He’d seen some fine places in Piltover, but he’d never imagined the inside of a hotel would look like this. It was a large open space with a high painted ceiling. To the left was a comfortable looking seating area and to the right-

Viktor paused as he saw a thin man with dark black curly hair and olive skin laying on the bed on his side, his head propped up with one hand braced with his elbow against the mattress, his legs crossed and bent as his other hand played over the soft-looking sheet.

It didn’t escape his notice that she’d chosen someone with Jayce’s overall appearance as far as skin and hair colour went, though his eyes seemed to be a bright green slightly hidden behind a white mask with gold design over the edges, and his overall build was much smaller. Even from the way he was laying on the bed, Viktor could tell he was shorter than Jayce, and his build, while still muscular from what he could tell under his clothes, he was much thinner.

“I trust he meets your approval?” Ambessa said and Viktor was snapped out of his thoughts when he looked at her.

“Approval?” He asked.

“Yes,” she said. “He’s yours for the evening, he’ll do anything you tell him to.”

That sentence alone sent a shiver through him, but not in a positive way. It felt like a bucket of ice was poured straight down his spine.

The man would have come from the Undercity. That’s where Piltover got all their prostitutes. “Escorts” as they called them. As if that were classier.

He felt frozen on the spot as the man shifted and slid fluidly off the bed into a standing position and he smiled softly as he slowly approached him.

“This is him?” the man asked and Viktor swallowed nervously as his hand touched his shoulder, snaking around his back to his other shoulder as he walked around him before he stopped in front of him and looked up at him with a clearly trained look of lust in his eyes.

Viktor took a single step back but stopped when he felt Ambessa’s hand on his upper back, stopping him.

“Relax,” she said. “Enjoy yourself tonight. Tomorrow, you’ll get what was promised.” The man smiled up at him and leaned up, his hand on Viktor’s chest and Viktor pulled back again. The man looked concerned and Viktor couldn’t help but wonder what type of punishment Ambessa had planned for him if he didn’t succeed in what he was paid for.

He stilled himself as the man smiled shyly before he leaned in and kissed Viktor, his hand sliding up to his neck and Ambessa took her leave of them, leaving Viktor grateful for the privacy.

Once the door clicked shut, Viktor broke the kiss and stepped back. “You don’t have to do this,” he said quietly.

“I want to,” he said immediately and Viktor knew it was a line he was told to use, or used in practice many times. His hand moved up to Viktor’s cheek and Viktor turned his head away. “Do you not want me?”

Viktor had to admit, the man was gorgeous, well within his category of interest. But not like this.

“Would you like a glass of wine?” the man asked as he moved into the sitting area where there was a small bar in the corner and Viktor looked at him. Wine? To loosen him up? “It’s okay to be nervous,” he said, pouring some wine even though Viktor hadn’t answered.

“I’m not nervous,” Viktor said and the man glanced at him with that soft smile of his.

“Then why are you so hesitant?” he asked as he walked back over, two glasses of wine in his hand and Viktor politely took one in his own hand.

“Because I’m not blind,” he said. “I know she paid you to be here, I know you don’t want to be here. If our positions were reversed, and I were to look at this,” he gestured to himself with the hand that held the wine glass. “I wouldn’t want to either. I don’t blame you. She’ll pay you either way, but you don’t have to do anything. You can just say we did.”

The man tilted his head as he looked Viktor over, and his hand moved to Viktor’s forearm. “I see nothing wrong with what I’m looking at.” he said softly, and Viktor knew it was an act, but it sounded so sincere he felt his heart skip a beat. How many times had he wanted to hear that? Even though it was just a lie, and an act, it felt good to hear it.

Viktor looked away from him before looking down at his wine and the masked man walked around behind him sipping his wine. Viktor’s hand tightened on the grip of his crutch and he sighed, drinking the majority of his wine in one gulp, before drinking down the rest and he placed the glass down on the table.

He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” he said. Viktor felt his hand move slowly down his arm until his hand met his and Viktor turned his head to look at him. “Come sit down,” he said with a slight glance at the crutch and Viktor knew what he was getting at without trying to sound rude.

“I should return to my lab, I have much work to do,” Viktor said, but his argument felt half-hearted at best. He had to admit, he wanted him to keep talking.

“Your lab will still be there in the morning,” he said and he placed his own empty glass down next to Viktor’s before he gently tugged on his hand. Instead of leading him towards the bed though, he led him to the couch, and gently guided him to sit, Viktor’s hand still on the grip of his crutch and he carefully took it from him and leaned it against the side of the couch.

Viktor watched as the man, while he remained standing, leaned forward, his hands going to the back of the couch on either side of him and he leaned forward to kiss him again but Viktor flinched back and he stopped.

“What should I call you?” Viktor asked and the man smiled coyly.

“You can call me anything you like,” he answered, though Viktor didn’t like that answer.

“What do you want to be called?” Viktor asked and for the first time, the man hesitated. But the hesitation was brief and that mask, not the physical one on his face, but the one he wore in his entire act fell back into place as if it hadn’t slipped off at all.

“You can call me Leven,” he said and Viktor committed the name to memory, even if it wasn’t his real name. Viktor relaxed as Leven leaned forward again, his lips meeting his and his eyes slipped closed, giving in to the sensation of his lips moving gently against his. Neither of them broke the kiss as Leven slowly shifted, moving to straddle Viktor’s legs, careful not to put any pressure on his bad leg and Viktor nearly groaned in annoyance.

“You won’t hurt me,” he said and Leven smirked as he shifted his legs, putting a bit more of his weight onto Viktor’s lap. The weight was unusual, but not unwelcoming. Viktor felt Leven’s hands run through his hair as he leaned forward, kissing him again, his soft lips moving against his and he nearly moaned when he felt the bulge in Leven’s pants pressing against his stomach just below his brace.

His hands moved up to Leven’s sides as the man's hands stroked through his hair and down to his shoulders, sliding down the front of his chest before moving to tug at his tie.

“Wait,” Viktor said. “Not-” he paused. He hated being naked in front of people, he knew he had no choice in his disability aid, but it was a constant reminder that he would never be viewed in any positive way … not like this. Then a sudden realization came over him.

His leg! How could he possibly get away with hiding that?

“Shy?” Leven asked with a bit of a sly smirk. “What if I show you first?” He backed away slightly but didn’t get off of him as his hands slowly raised, and he carefully removed his mask which just added to the man's insufferable beauty, and Viktor couldn’t help but feel inferior for it. The mask was placed on the couch next to them, and the man’s curly hair fell down towards his eyes in the most alluring way.

He couldn’t do this!

Leven’s hands were back on him again, moving over his chest and he was sure he would be able to feel the brace under his clothing, but that didn’t seem to deter him.

He shouldn’t do this!

His took a deep intake of breath as the man’s mouth moved to his neck just below his ear and he practically melted like butter under him. How long had it been since he’d had more than a pat on the back from Jayce or a light hand on his arm from Sky? Never is when. Never in his life would he have ever imagined this happening and all thoughts of what Leven really was melted away. Maybe he could just let go and enjoy one night!

He felt his tie tug loose, his vest and shirt come open and he leaned forward, pulling his gangly arms out of the material before it was tossed to the side.

When Leven pulled back to look over him, he felt his cheeks flame red. He knew he was nothing to look at, far too tall and skinny for anyone’s liking even without his obvious flaws. But he saw no reaction from Leven and he couldn’t help but wonder if he was previously warned, or if he just prepared himself for seeing it after feeling it under his shirt.

Or perhaps he’d had worse. He pushed that thought immediately from his mind as Leven’s fingers moved to his own shirt, slowly, teasingly pulling each button free until the black material slid off of his shoulders and it tumbled to the floor. Viktor couldn’t stop his eyes from roaming down over his body.

“Do you like what you see?” Leven asked and Viktor bit his lip and nodded. “Good.” his voice was soft as he slid out of his lap and onto the floor, placing himself between Viktor’s legs and Viktor hissed as his hand ran over the front of his pants, palming over his hard cock and he was surprised how easy it had been to get him into such a state.

“Do you want me to touch you?” Leven asked, popping one of the buttons of his pants open and Viktor nodded. “What was that?” he asked, as he leaned forward, pressing a kiss on that bare bit of skin just above his pants line.

“Y-yes,” he whispered and he saw Leven smirk as if he’d won something. Leven’s hand played over him through his pants before his other button popped open and Leven was pulling his pants down. Before it got too far though, Viktor grabbed the material, stopping him from exposing his leg. Luckily for him, Leven didn’t question it, just took it as another insecurity about his bad leg and instantly distracted Viktor from the entire thing as he freed his shaft from his pants.

His hand wrapped around him and Viktor moaned his back arching, the mechanics in his brace whirring quietly as Leven moved his foreskin down over his shaft. Viktor watched him and he could see some slight hesitancy on his face, but it disappeared quickly as his hand started working over him, his other hand running over his right leg and Viktor found it strange that he could feel it. It tingled in a strange way, almost electronic in feeling. Like the buzz of static electricity, but nicer.

His hand moved forward of its own accord, his long thin fingers trailing through Leven’s hair and the man smirked knowingly. Even though Viktor hadn’t asked, Leven leaned forward, that slight hesitancy coming back over him but only for a second before the flat of his tongue ran over the underside of his shaft.

Viktor hummed quietly at the feeling and within a moment Leven took his shaft into his mouth, using his hand to pull his foreskin back and he took him halfway in, sucking on him hard enough that Viktor’s hum turned into a moan.

Leven’s hand moved away and he took his entire cock into his mouth, and Viktor looked down to see him bury his nose against the coarse hairs at the base before pulling back again. His head started bobbing over him and Viktor’s head fell back, his body arching, his hips rolling forward.

“Yes,” he whispered, without even realising he’d let the word slip. His finger ran gently through Leven’s curly hair and his breaths started coming out as choked little moans and quiet whimpers.

He could feel every movement of Leven’s tongue against him, every little sucking motion, the saliva building up in his mouth adding to the warm wet feeling of his mouth around him and Viktor’s fingers fisted in his hair.

“I’m …” he grunted as Leven sucked harder, his orgasm quickly climbing to reach its peak. “I’m going to cum.” He warned, letting go of his hair. Instead of pulling back, Leven moved quicker. Viktor’s breathing sped up the closer his orgasm came until his entire body tensed up, his teeth clenching as he came, cum spurting over Leven’s tongue.

With each passing moment, every pulse of his cock sending ropes of cum into the man's mouth, he didn’t relent until Viktor was entirely soft and relaxed against the couch, and he pulled off of him with a soft pop.

Leven looked up at him, giving his cock one last lick before he moved up and climbed into his lap again, his hand going up to slip through Viktor’s hair.

“You taste good,” he said. “Tell me … What do you want next?”
