Chapter Text
As he sat down in the recliner he noticed how Marty seemed to be checking him out. There was something different about this Marty. The Marty infront of him seemed to have an air of self confidence around him he had never recognized in his own Marty. Also he swore this Marty had a touch of crazy in his eyes, but maybe he was just imaginng that?
It had taken him some time to convince the Lone Pine Doc to let him be the one to come, and talk to Marty. His Lone Pine companion did not trust him, and that was something this Emmett Brown could understand.
Now more than ever he judged himself for not shutting his Marty's affection down. He had truly cared for his Marty, he still cared about his Marty, but now more than ever it was clear that the relationship between them had been wrong. The Lone Pine Emmett Brown had made it clear that he did not blame the Twin Pine Marty for anything. The Lone Pine Doc only blamed him.
Doc groaned as he sat up, where in the hell was he, and what the hell had happened? The last thing he could remember was riding shot gun in his own head as his clearly incompetent Twin Pine counterpart had managed to make the situation with Marty worse.
As Doc became more aware of his surroundings he realized he was down in the tunnel under his barn where he had kept the train before dismantling the time machine.
Perhaps you were right to assume that your Marty was not ready to interact with me yet.
"Well that is one fact we can agree upon." The Lone Pine Doc replied back to his Twin Pine counterpart.
Why are we down here?
"I have no idea. You were in control the last I could remember. Can I assume you blocked me out thinking you could somehow calm Marty down alone?" The Lone Pine Doc asked.
No, I thought it was you who was taking over when I was blocked out.
"Great Scott! Another memory gap, and now we are trapped down here. I do not even remember leaving the garage, and coming home do you?"
No
"I've got a bad feeling about all of this."
Is there no way to get out of here?
"The ladder leading up to the hatch in the barns floor is gone. I sealed the tunnel used to move the train outside after I dismantled my time train. We are infact trapped down here." Doc confirmed.
Why if we are back on your property would anyone lock you down here?
"Who are you talking to Emmett" A voice from behind Doc in the dark caused the scientist to turn around in alarm.
As Doc's eyes adjusted to the dark he became aware that it was Danny that was in the tunnel with him, and the police chief had his gun pointed right at him.
Oh great, more guns. I do hope Chief Parker is infact less of an asshole in this timeline like you seem to believe.
"My couterpart from the original timeline. What Marty, and I have nicknamed the Twin Pine timeline." Doc answerd Danny honestly.
That was not the answer Danny had expected, and he also had his reasons to believe that Doc was lying. The Chief kept his gun aimed at Doc.
When the police chief had gotten a call from Clara he had sped over immediately. Mrs. Brown hadn't given many details over the phone, she had only revealed that she did not believe the man who claimed to be her husband was infact still the true Emmett Brown.
At that moment the hatch above their heads popped open causing both men to look up.
"Hey Chief, we might have a problem up here." Paul said, cringing as he took in the scene below him.
"Are you the Doc or are you the other Doc?" Paul asked.
"I am losing my patience. Somebody tell me what in the hell is going on here!" Doc demanded angrily.
Doc's anger quickly subsided as Danny stepped a little closer, his firearm still pointed directly at the scientist's face.
"What is the situation Paul?" Danny asked.
"Jennifer, and Linda went back to the garage to check on Marty. His truck is there, but Marty was not." Paul answered.
"Son of a bitch, Emmett where in the hell is Marty now?" Danny demanded.
"I don't know Chief. I haven't talked to Marty since last night....." Doc stopped talking, his bad feeling growing worse.
"When we left the garage this morning Marty was there. As far as I am aware Linda, Jennifer, and myself were the last people to talk to him." Paul quickly hollered down.
Paul did not want to witness Doc get shot in the face. It was clear to Paul that both Danny, and Doc likely were thinking Doc was already guilty for Marty being missing again.
"There is no way any version of Emmett could have gone back to the garage before you arrived here to help Clara?" Danny asked.
"We came straight from the garage to here. We'll we did stop at Edna's store, but that is on the way here, and Jennifer wasted no time in there. We don't know where Marty is, but I can't think of any logical way Doc could have gotten to him, and have been here in the barn when we arrived here." Paul confirmed.
"I think logic left us a long time ago Paul." Danny replied back.
"Can someone please fill me in on what is happening?" Doc asked more calmly this time.
"Emmett, I'm going to ask you a question, and I expect an honest answer. What is the last thing you can remember before waking up down here?" Danny asked, his voice starting to not be able to hide his anger.
"Oh now that I am an adult you just want to talk huh? That is not what another part of you is telling me." Marty said with a laugh.
"I went over to the garage, and talked with Marty." Doc admitted, feeling a mix of anger at his Twin Pine companion, and shame that any version of himself could have caused the events of what he could remember from the night before.
Let me take back over. This is my sin I need to answer for, not yours.
"You have done enough!" Doc yelled, startling Danny, and Paul.
"Paul, give Doc and myself a moment." Danny said in a serious tone.
"You're not going to shoot him are you? Look Chief Parker I get you are angry with him, but no matter how much you might want to shoot him right now we need to find out what happend to Marty.....again." Paul frantically hollered down as Danny rolled his eyes.
"I do not want to shoot Emmett. I just want to talk to him in private. I won't shoot him, unless I have to." Danny promised, though Doc, and Paul still weren't so sure of that fact.
"Leave the hatch open so we can have some light, but leave the barn Paul!" Danny hollered back up after a tense moment of silence.
Danny waited till he no longer heard footsteps, and was sure Paul had infact left the barn.
"When you were talking to the other you in your head you mentioned needing to calm Marty down, why, what happened last night Emmett?" Danny asked calmly.
"Chief, I think we are wasting time talking right now, if Marty is missing again" Doc tried avoiding the question.
"You don't have another time machine do you Emmett?" Danny asked, not sounding near as calm now.
"I do not have any time machines just laying around Chief. Feel free to take a look around." Doc shot back his anger rising again.
Doc realized too late what was causing the blanks in his memory, the scientist knew for sure now his anger was causing some kind of blackouts, and it was about to happen again.
"You know Chief, you sure do like pointing that gun around. I doubt you could hit me even standing this close. Hell you let Marty do the job for you last time. I think he somehow missed." Evil Doc said, laughing as Danny's eyes went wide.
"Where is Marty!" Danny demanded again, realizing he was now talking to the evil Emmett Brown.
"This is as much a mystery to me as it is to you. I don't know where Marty is. Maybe you should talk to the idiot blonde boy? That kid always seems to be involved when his friend runs off. Maybe Paul is a magician?" Doc asked laughing.
Danny saw red, he was being honest when he said he didn't want to shoot Doc, but the police chief wasn't above playing the role of a bad cop.
The Evil Doc hadn't expected to get hit with the prongs of a taser, but he screamed as he fell to the dirty tunnel floor. Danny was rattled as Doc started laughing, and stood again.
"Well, well, Chief Parker don't we have a temper? You want to talk fine we will talk. I will tell you everything about last night." Doc continued laughing.
"What did you do to Marty?" Danny demanded again feeling a sickening blend of anger, and fear.
"Nothing that Marty didn't want. The kid never told me to stop." Doc said through his insane chuckles.
"You are a sick son of a bitch, where is Marty!" Danny raged more, his fear also growing.
"I'm not the only Emmett Brown who feels desire for the boy, and I'm not the only Emmett Brown who has ever snacked on the kid either." Doc admitted still chuckling, he was having fun.
"I don't know what sick game you think you are playing right now, but I do not want to play along," Danny said through gritted teeth.
"Marty is after all a no good McFly boy right? One of you knows that one of him wasn't good enough for your once upon a time untouched, perfect princess. I got news for you though, that Marty was infact cheating on your daughter.
Danny's anger was only growing. Back in the old timeline Danny had never told Jennifer what he had known, what he had witnessed one night when answering a noise complaint to Brown's garage.
He was tired, and ready to go home. He had almost not even bothered cheking in on the crackpot, after all ninety nine percent of noise complaints against the scientist were bullshit.
As he stepped out of his car he could hear the voices inside the garage. He stepped up to look into the window.
"I'm sorry Marty, I did not expect those chemicals to react in such a violent way." Brown had said as he was bandaging the teenager's hand.
"It's okay Doc, that is the dangers of being a scientist's assistant right?" Marty replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"No, it's not okay Marty. You getting hurt is never okay." Doc had answered back, trying to hide his obvious emotion.
Doc had been knealing infront of the teen. Marty knealt down to join the scientist closer to the floor.
"It really is okay Doc, I know the one person in this world who would never intentionally hurt me is you." Marty had said, barely above a whisper.
Marty had then brushed his lips against the scientist's. He watched the whole scene in shock. He knew that boy. It was the kid his daughter was infatuated with, it was that damn McFly boy.
Doc was still chuckling, recognizing the look of disgust on the police chiefs face.
"If it makes you feel any better the other Marty was mostly pure till last night. I think I have him trained enough to want me now too." Evil Doc said smiling.
Danny raged, pulling his baton, and striking the Evil Doc out cold.
