Chapter Text
“Tenko! Have you been inside my study?!” Kotaro yelled at his son, who was playing in the backyard with Mon.
“N-no!” The five year old stuttered in terror.
“Don’t lie to me, Tenko!”
“It was Hana’s idea! W-we’re sorry-BAM!” As Tenko tried to apologize, his ‘father’ slapped him across the face.
“I told the two of you to never enter my study-SLAP!” Just as Kotaro was about to continue scolding Tenko, Nao ran out of the house and slapped her husband across the face before standing in front of Tenko.
“Keep your hands off my son!” Nao screamed before turning to her boy. “Tenko sweetie, go inside to your sister.”
“B-but momma.”
“Inside, Tenko.” The brunette ordered sternly as it became clear to Tenko that his parents wanted to talk alone. So like a good boy, he ran inside straight into Hana’s arms with Mon following him.
Now that the children were gone, Nao turned back to Kotaro. “He’s just a child, Kotaro. Couldn’t you just have let it slide for once. Or just explain it to him and Hana. I’m sure they would have understood.” Nao pleaded with a pained facial expression.
“I told them not to go into my study and what did they do? Go into my study!”
“They’re children! With how big and important you make your study sound, Tenko and Hana were probably just curious!”
“They need to learn their lesson.” Kotaro growled as he stomped off. But then, his wife spoke up again .
“Take one more fucking step towards them and I swear to god, I’m taking Hana and Tenko. Because right now, you are not the man I married!” The brunette mother yelled as tears ran down her face. Kotaro meanwhile stared at her with widened eyes. But before he could say something, the ground began to crack.
“Hana, are momma and father done with arguing yet?” Tenko muttered as he hid with his older sister behind the couch.
“No, Tenko. They're still going at it.” Hana muttered before turning to Tenko. “Why did you have to take that photo instead of just putting it back?”
“Father looked happy in it. So I wanted to show it to make him happy again.” Her one year younger brother mumbled. “But I didn’t have the time.”
“Well he sure isn’t happy right now.” Hana growled as she looked over the couch, trying to listen to Kotaro and Nao’s argument.
As his parents were arguing, Tenko made himself as small as possible before he furiously began scratching his eyes. “Why don’t they stop? I apologize so it should be alright, right?” The little boy groaned as his sister continued listening. “I…hate…him. I hate dad for yelling at us. I hate that he hits him. I hate that he scares mom and makes her cry. I HATE IT ALL!” The boy roared as he tried to get up. But as soon as he touched the floor, the itching decreased as the room began to break.
As did Hana’s outreaching left arm.
And Mon.
And soon the entirety of the house.
Meanwhile with Nao and Kotaro, both watched their house get destroyed. But as Kotaro stood in shock until the decay reached him and dusted him, Nao immediately ran inside.
“Tenko! Hana! Where are you?!” She yelled as her body slowly fell apart. Once she found her daughter and her son, whose hair had turned blue, most of her toes and fingers were gone as her left arm was already shorter than her right one. “Tenko, Hana, what's going on?”
Instead of answering her, Tenko began to vomit as Nao looked around the room.
And saw her dog’s corpse and Hana’s hand slowly breaking apart from her arm.
“M-m-momm-ma…it hurts!” The children yelled in unison as Nao had to act quickly. First Hana, Nao grabbed a pillow, told Hana to be strong for a couple seconds and then slammed the pillow down on the girl’s decaying arm, amputating it so the decay didn’t spread further. All the while, her own arm completely fell off thanks to Tenko’s ongoing panic attack.
So as Tenko cried and pleaded while the walls and roof had fully disappeared, letting the rain fall down onto the remaining Shimura’s, Nao got up and pulled her son into a hug, not before ordering Hana to keep her distance no matter what and to not touch anything.
“Try breathing in and out, baby. Can you do that?” Nao asked as her legs fell off. “It’s going to be alright, Tenko. I love you so much.”
As she whispered sweet words into his ears, Tenko slowly but surely called down as the decay stopped.
Kotaro, mon-Chan, their home,
Hana’s left arm,
Nao’s legs, entire left arm, fingers and right eye,
All of it was gone.
And Nao was fading fast.
“Momma!” Hana screamed as she held her mom.
“Someone! Help us! Please!” Tenko pleaded as his dying mother still held him.
“I’m…sorry…sweetie…I never…stop..him.” Nao apologized with a strained voice. “I ... .was a…terrible ... .mother.”
“Stop it! You aren’t leaving us!” Hana screamed through her tears as Nao just smiled. “Help us! Someone! Heroes!” Tenko continued as he softly got out of Nao’s grip, accidentally breaking off her other arms. “I'm going to get help, Hana. You look after momma.” Tenko said as he ran into the streets, leaving Hana with their dying mama.
But it was for nothing. As every person on the street ignored Tenko and told him to look for a hero. And every door that opened when he knocked, closed almost immediately again.
So Tenko ran back to his mom and Sister. “Momma, sis *sniff* Nobody wants to help. All of them just told me to look for a hero.” The little boy whimpers as Nao lets out a strained laugh.
“It’s alright, sweetie…You two tried your…best.”
“But!” “But nobody came to save you three.”
Tenko and Hana turned around to see a tall man with a black hat and suit. The man grinned down at the siblings and their dying mom before speaking up again as he extended his hand. “But I’ll help you three.”
That was the last thing Nao heard before going to the light, at rest because someone was willing to help her babies.
But just as she was about to enter the light, she heard the mysterious man’s voice again. “Don’t worry, Tenko, Hana, your mother is going to make it through..technically.”
Not in her wildest nightmares did Nao expect that he meant he would turn her into a zombie maid.
But the tearful look on her babies’ faces when they saw her again, begging her not to leave them again, made it alright.
Human or not, as long as she had her daughter and son, she would be their mom.
“Kurogiri, I want you to kill Hana.”
On the day of Tenko’s fourteenth, he, Hana and Nao had a little party when All For One called Nao, who he called Kurogiri, to his secret room.
“Excuse you, I’m not harming my daughter.” The nomu said defiantly, only for All For One to grin under his mask.
“You don’t have a choice. You are my creation.”
“I won’t kill my baby!”
“How unfortunate. Because I believe she is distracting Tomura from his destiny.” Afo said with a mocking tone.
“Stop calling him Tomura! His name is Tenko!”
“Calm down, Kurogiri.” The villain said nonchalantly as he snapped his fingers, causing Nao to growl in pain until the mist that made up her hair completely covered her face. “Now be a good servant and follow your command.”
“N-n-n-no…Y-yes, master.” The Nomu answered monotonously as she turned around ridgedly, clearly trying to fight against her own body.
But just as she was about to look for Hana, all the while All For One was laughing, the masked man let out a pained gasp.
“Stay away from our momma.” Tenko and Hana (still with only one arm) growled in unison as Tenko turned the man to dust.
Suddenly, Nao regained control over her body as her face became mistless. “T-Tenko, did you just…kill him?”
“He sure did. Afterall, after you protected us for so many years, we better protect you when needed.” Hana said proudly as Tenko nodded.
“I see..what now?” The Nomu hesitantly asked, not before pulling her children into a hug.
“Simple. Our old sensei is gone, but the problem in this rotten society still exists. And since the old man can’t deal with it anymore, why don’t we give it a shot.” Tenko said with a smirk, something that soon grew on Hana and even Nao’s faces.
