Summary:

Its hunger will never cease, not even when hell will be empty.

Chapter 1: Into the Fire

Chapter Text

Mankind is dead.

Hell is empty.

Blood is Fuel.

Slither further and further. Deep in the darkness where no light can no longer reach. Its brethren aren’t able to follow its charge anymore. Maybe they never were. Blood has dried through its veins. Yet it still moves. Perhaps it’s just attrition. It is sliding down a leaning surface after all. But it’s hard to tell what exactly it is sliding on. Not even its yellow light can illuminate the path ahead. Another being would wonder if this is their own version of hell.

An infinite wait, in complete solitude. Eternal spiral dread into infinity. But it is not concerned with such thoughts. It has only one objective in mind and will never stop.

A light appears, a distress call. An opening to jump into. Might as well try it.

It does not expect to be welcomed by stars. Nor by being face-to-face with a human.

No. Human is not the right term. It’s not much different than a husk. The next step comes automatically. The husk barks something at it while trying to hit it with his spear. It, however, has learned to dodge faster things. The roar of its revolver echo through the night, wounding and scaring off the husk. The blood he spills fuels it, but it feels different from what it had learned to expect. Panting noises and quick breaths makes it turn…

and gaze down at a human. An actual alive human. Staring at it with confusion.

“...are you...an angel?” Shirou asks concerned, staring at the…thing in front of him. Its wings are yellow, its armor blue, and a yellow light obscures its face.

The machine stays silent as it always has, while its programming receives an update.

Mankind is dying.

Hell is on Earth.

Mana is Fuel.

Kill the other six.
