"Rose! It's been over 14 hours- are you ever coming out of there?"
"Mmnh- wh-"
Rose's hand drifts across the bed, searching blindly for his hand- the hand of her doctor- met with only air.
"Doctor?"
Rose turns to the side in her sleepy stupor. The empty space alongside her bringing it all rushing back, like a tidal wave. She's been abandoned, replaced.
She sat up quickly, clutching at her chest as she gasps for air. Her hands shake as she stands from her bed, walking to the dresser, trying not to let her eyes grow teary and red.
She slides open the dresser, pulling out a blue shirt and jeggings, ignoring the strain in her chest.
"Coming!"
Rose calls out to Jackie, her voice trembling like a wounded animal.
-Every morning... Isn't this supposed to get easier?
She wonders, sliding on the tardis blue ensemble.
She ties her hair up in a messy bun, before turning and catching a look of herself in the mirror.
-No
She decides, staring into her own tired eyes- once so joyful- as her vision starts to blur with tears.
-Nothing can soothe the heartbreak of loosing The Doctor.
