Forgotten
Chapter 1
Three days ago mom got a new job! I'm so happy for her! Her job is now little far from home, so I suppose I'll be alone home more often.
Okay I don't really mind.
Mom doesn't really do a one job for a long time. She changes them everynow and then, but this time she said she will keep this job.
I'm so happy for her...
It's been now 3 days since she got that job. She hasn't come home once. I didn't realize she would be gone for such a long time, but I guess that's ok.
Oh! It's already 11pm...
Man I did it again I forgot to eat or drink. I've been working with my inventions all day...
Rui gets up and walks into the kitchen.
He grabs a glass and fills it with water. The sound of water running is quite loud, when you have sat in your quiet room all day.
Rui drinks his water, but then he realises, that they are out of food.
Well...I'm not hungry anyway. I'm sure when mom is gonna come back she's going to buy some, but I shouldn't bother her. She's busy....
Rui took a quick shower, then decided to go to sleep.
I wonder, when is mom gonna be back...
The next day.
My alarm rings...
Oh god...It's morning. This is clearly a sign. I wake up with a headache so it means, that this day is gonna be a bad day.
I got up, but I feel dizzy. My vision gets blurry and spots dance in my vision. The room starts to spin.
I lean on the wall, so I won't collapse on the floor. I slowly sit on the floor and wait for a moment and then get up again.
"This must be another sign." I laugh by myself.
I get dressed up and head downstairs.
I should make lunch for myself...
I walk in the kitchen. I look around and then, I remember we don't even have food.
It's okay i guess. I'll just steal some food from Tsukasa.
I sigh and walk out of the house.
I see Nene already waiting me in front of her house. It makes me smile.
She's playing with her Nintendo. She seems to be really focused on the game.
"Nenee!"
It looks like Nene pauses her game, then she raises her head to look at me.
"Morning." She says smiling a bit.
"Morning Nene!"
We start walking to school not saying a word. Our walk really won't be awkward if we don't say anything, because we don't have to. We've known for so long, that we feel comfortable enough to just be quiet. It's enough to make me happy that she's there, walking next to me.
We have now arrived. Nene waved me a goodbye and we headed to our classes.
I haven't listened a word the teacher has said. Blah blah blah blah....
I feel like that teacher's talking is making my headache even worse.
I feel nauseous, but maybe it'll go away....
The bell rings and I head out of the class. I walk through the hallway.
I'm now outside. I look around the place and see Tsukasa chilling under a tree.
"Heyyy! Tsukasaaa!"
I yell his name as I wave my hands.
He turns to look at me and smiles.
I walk up to him.
"Hey Rui!" He greets
"Well hello Tsukasa."
I sat down next to him.
"Oi Rui, where is your lunch?"
"Wellllll....You see I don't have a lunch so I was thinking if you'd give me some of yours."
Rui smirks at Tsukasa.
Tsukasa looks Rui clearly unimpresses.
"How can you forget something so important?!" Tsukasa scolds
Tsukasa's yelling made Rui wince. The headache was getting worse.
"Tsukasa- Why are you being so loud...."
"HEY!!"
Rui flinched at his voice and covered his ears.
Tsukasa quickly lowered his voice, when he realized Rui had a headache.
"Oh sorry...Anyways here."
Tsukasa handed Rui a small piece of his sandwich and a little cookie.
Rui smiled at Tsuksa now warmly.
"Thank you Tsukasa.."
The rest of the day is nothing special.
Rui and Nene walk back home together like everyday. They arrive at their houses. Say their goodbyes and then walk into their own houses.
When Rui gets inside, he instantly collapses on the floor. He leans on the floor, relieved that the day is finally over. He covers his face in his hands. He's so glad that he's home. This day was horrible. Dangerously boring. He raises his head and looks around if his mother has come home. He calls his mother, but gets no answer, so he figures out that she's still busy and working. I wonder, how long will it take to mother to come home.
I have a little bit of money myself. Should I buy food for myself?
No. I should use my money on my inventions. I'm sure mom is gonna be back soon. I want to be as useful as I can.
Rui enters his room.
He does his homework, but focusing is harder than it usually is.
After a while his homework is done, he starts working with his inventions.
It's been a while now. Rui yawns. He feels extra tired today. He looks at the clock.
What?? It's already 1am? I should go to sleep....
Tonight, it was hard to fall asleep. But eventually, Rui falls asleep around 4am.
