Stranger danger (probably)

Summary:

Patton's lonely night at the bar with friends is interrupted by an odd stranger.

Or

Patton ignores any common sense and follows a weird stranger to a secondary location.

Notes:

As always, English is not my native language, so sorry for any mistakes.

Also it goes a bit...against Christianity at some parts so...yeah. I know you probably wouldn't expect anything less from gay smut, but there is actually a few specific points.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

It was a Saturday night. Everyone was home from school or work, the restaurants were packed, the delivery guys were busy and most people were enjoying a glass of wine in the living room. Their feet are resting on the couch as they watch whatever their TV channels or streaming services can offer.

Not for Patton though. He was one of the few people who were out in the wild. Also known as a bar. He usually loved himself some free time at home. With snacks and bad TV, possibly with said glass of wine. Not today. Tonight he is busy hanging out with his friends.

Those friends being Roman and Virgil. Roman made a new promise to himself to stay single and happy and not let another "stupid fucking hunk with his eyes and hands and…the dumb smile" break his heart. Virgil also made a promise to himself to not let "this fucking idiot" get smitten with another fuck boy.

Patton didn't give himself any promises, because he never does anything of that nature. Of course he's not a saint and he did have a few wilder days (and nights), but he's comfortable with his night as it is. Sitting at the bar, sipping on a Bellini and watching those two play pool. They usually tie, but it's obvious from an outside view that Virgil lets him win from time to time. Unless Roman starts boasting and trash talking. Virge is always quick to shut that down.
Patton enjoyed playing too, but he wasn't really good at it. Not enough to want to play in a bar. Maybe if he had a few more glasses he wouldn't care.

Patton's glass was starting to get empty when someone sat next to him.

"I guess you wouldn't care for another glass with some company?"

"Oh, thank you for the offer but you don't have to, I still have some left."

"Is that a no to the company as well? Do you also have some left of it?"

Patton circled with the glass while the stranger ordered. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to have someone to talk to.

"I guess some company would be nice, if you don't mind."

The man smiled at him, taking a sip from his own glass.

"Not at all."

He stretched his hand towards Patton.

"I'm Janus."

"Patton."

They shook hands and Patton went back to his drink.

"So Patton..what are you doing here on a Friday night? Are you sure you don't have anything else to do?"

Patton laughed to himself quietly.
"Do I really look that out of place?"

"Not at all, you just look…a bit out of your element."

"That's fair. I'm here with friends. They're playing pool right now." He nodded his head towards the pool table where Roman almost hit someone with his cue stick.

"Without you?"

"Well, I am not much of a player."

Janus smiled at this, taking a sip of his own drink.

"I am very happy to hear that."

Patton snickered at that. This was such an odd man. In a bar full of young people having fun and drinking shots, yet he sits down next to the only person wearing a silly cardigan. Patton looked more like he was going to church than a bar on a Saturday night, that's for sure.

"What are you doing here? This doesn't seem like your cup of tea either."

"Do I not look like the type to go drinking?"

"Oh no, you do. You just look like you belong to…" Patton struggled to find the right words, circling his hand "a more fancy establishment?"

"You flatter me, Patton. But I don't find comfort fraternizing with the rich folk."

He ordered Patton another glass. He didn't even notice he finished the previous one.

Patton glanced over at the pool table to see they've moved over to the darts. Oddly enough, Roman was good at them…but only after he's had a few drinks. Nobody knows exactly how that's supposed to work, but they certainly question it whenever he wins while barely being able to walk straight.

"Do you have any other plans for tonight?"

Patton turned back to the strange companion.

"I- No, not really. Maybe I'll just go home early to get some rest. Gotta be up and ready for church and all that!"

Janus smiled, resting his head on his hand. "Are you a religious man, Patton?"

That was a hard question to answer. It's not like Patton really thought about it often. Was he?

"I wouldn't really say that? I mean I was raised to be, but I don't really go to church or anything, I was just kidding."

"Do you believe in God?"

"I guess so? I mean there has to be something up there! Or else it would really just be a waste of space."

Janus nodded thoughtfully, taking another sip.

"Is there anything else you believe in?"

"Probably the commandments and stuff? I mean it's all just the basics. Don't steal, don't hurt people…don't…do bad stuff?"

"Yes, I agree. Those really are the basics. Though religion often has the most silly rules, doesn't it? No drinking, no gluttony, no sex before marriage and even then it should be reserved for procreation."

There was a short silence. It was obvious Janus had a lot of thoughts on this subject. They could probably stay there the whole night just to get through a few of them.

"I'm guessing you're not the biggest fan of those?"

"No, not really. Actually, now that you mention it…Are you hungry, Patton?"

He was. He hasn't really eaten anything since lunch and even then it wasn't a lot. He basically just quickly ate a sandwich and ran out of the door to meet Roman and Virgil.

"I think I could go for a snack."

"Splendid! I'd love to take you out for…a late dinner. If you're interested of course."

"Sure! Let me just tell the guys. I don't want them to be worried about me."

He jumped off the stool to go find Roman and Virgil, luckily they were both busy playing darts.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to follow a stranger he just met to a secondary location, but he didn't seem dangerous. He was nice, kind of charming, well spoken…he didn't even smell half bad. Roman always told him he should live a little, maybe he finally should.

"Hey, kiddos! I think I will be going? Will you be alright here?"

"Us? Will you be ok? Wait, are you ok? Did you drink too much? Are you sick?"

Well this was going well.

"I am fine, Virgil. Thank you for asking. I am just…going out with someone? I think?"

Roman immediately stopped throwing to jump in on the conversation.

"With someone?! Damn, Pat! Didn't know you had it in you!"

"Hold up! Who is this dude? I'm not letting you leave with some random douche!"

"He's not! He's actually really nice-"

"Why thank you, Patton. I also think you're really nice."

Janus was suddenly standing right next to him, holding his coat.

"Janus Daniels, pleasure to meet you." He offered his gloved hand to them both.

"Who are ya and why are you trying to leave with Patton?"

"I simply wish to take him out for dinner. As to who I am…" he reached into the pocket of his coat to pull out two business cards.

They looked nice. Black, with golden writing. Definitely fancy.

Virgil squinted his eyes, both because he was struggling to read them in the dim light and because he still didn't look too convinced.

"If this isn't enough, I can always show you my ID? Give you my address? Heck, even the number for my mother, if that will let you sleep with ease tonight."

It looked like he actually considered calling his mother for a bit. "Alright then, Janus. But if I hear anything happened, I'm gonna drag you to the gates of hell myself."

"Noted. It was a pleasure to meet you both. Patton?" He offered his hand and Patton hesitantly took it.

"Bye, guys! I'll let you know when I get home!"

They left the bar. It was dark outside, there weren't exactly many people. There probably weren't many places open at this hour.

"Where are we going?"

"That is an excellent question. I could try and look up a place to eat or…"

"Or?"

"I have been told that I make excellent pasta."

Oh darn. Pasta, the key to Patton's heart.

"Do you really?"

"Only one way to find out!"

He ended up calling them a cab. Patton was now sitting in a car with a stranger he just met, on his way to said stranger's place. Virgil was going to kill him if Janus didn't get to it first.

What was he really? Some serial killer? Cannibal? Stalker? Maybe a weirdo who lived in someone's basement?

The car stopped. Janus paid the driver together with a generous tip and went out to hold the door open for Patton.

This didn't look like an old creepy house in the middle of nowhere. It was a nice house. A really nice house. With a really nice fence and a really nice path and a really nice doorway. Not that serial killers couldn't have nie houses of course.

Janus quickly made his way in and once again held the door open for Patton. He took off his coat and offered to help Patton with his jacket before they made their way further inside the house.

Once again, everything looked nice. Patton couldn't help but notice the overwhelming majority of gray furniture. Perhaps Janus just really enjoyed gray. Who knows?

Patton only knows that Janus led him to a once again very nice modern kitchen. The place was spotless. "May I offer you something to drink?"

"Sure! If it's not much of a bother?"

"Never! Is wine alright?"

As soon as Patton nodded, Janus was already pouring a glass of red wine and putting it in front of him.

"I'll be right back."

There he was. In a stranger's house. Drinking some wine the stranger gave him. If he was in a horror movie he'd probably be dead 20 times already. The wine however wasn't too bad.

Janus got back in a minute or two, now only wearing his slacks and button up shirt. His vest was left behind together with his hat and gloves. It was actually odd seeing him without them.

"Now, time to cook something for my dearest guest." He rolled up his sleeves and thoroughly washed his hands.

"Can I help you with something?"

"You are a guest, I cannot let you cook. Just sit back and enjoy the wine."

Patton tried insisting a few times after that. No luck. Janus was dead set on making the dinner himself. He immediately put on an apron and got to work.

Maybe it was for the better Patton didn't get to help him. To be completely honest, he wasn't much of a cook. Of course he was capable of making some simple meals, but he was still learning. He preferred baking or even better grilling.

Janus on the other hand seemed to be doing well in the kitchen. The pasta was cooking. The kitchen smelled of basil and garlic and Janus was currently working on getting some parmesan.

"You really know your way around the kitchen."

"Thank you. I enjoy cooking, even though I usually don't have guests. I appreciate any opportunity to cook for someone else, even if it's just some simple pasta."

"It smells pretty good for a simple pasta. Are you sure you don't need any help? I feel bad just sitting here and watching you."

"Am I that much of a bad view, Patton?"

"Wha- no! I just-"

Janus smiled, picking up the cheese grater and setting it in front of Patton.

"If you really feel the need to help me, you could grate some parmesan. I need to take care of the tomatoes. It would be a shame if I burned anything.".

Patton did as he was asked. The kitchen was silent. He wanted to start a conversation, but he wasn't really sure what to talk about.

Soon enough there wasn't even room to talk. Janus led him from the kitchen island to a small dining room. He even pulled out the chair for him before getting two plates of the pasta. It really wasn't anything too complicated. Just a pile of pasta with pesto, parmesan and some fried cherry tomatoes.

Janus also topped off his glass before finally sitting down. The two ate in moderate silence, resorting to small talk from time to time.

Patton wasn't really sure what to think of him. He had a nice place, nice clothes. He had a scar on his face that stood out way more now that they were in a properly lit room. He didn't seem like a dangerous lunatic. The pasta on the other hand was heavenly and he was definitely sure about that. During the small conversation he quickly found out that Janus actually grew his own basil and preferred to make his own pesto.

There still seemed something off about that man. Maybe it was the smirk. The scar? The ridiculously clean house? Or maybe it was the way he was holding the knife while cutting the onion. Maybe he should give him a chance. Make conversation.

"Were you really going to give Virgil your mom's number?"

"Who- oh, right. Him. I was actually. I doubt she would pick up though."

"Are you…not on good terms?"

"You could say that. She's also dead."

Patton choked on his wine. That was unexpected.

"It's quite alright, Patton. I am more than fine. She's in heaven or something."

"Could I…run to the bathroom real quick?"

"Of course. It's upstairs. First door on the left."

Patton quickly ran upstairs. First door on the left. First door on the left. But the door at the end of the corridor seemed way more interesting. He looked around before making his way through the door. It was a bedroom. There was a big bed at the center. The walls were decorated with various art pieces. It looked nice. There was a photo on the nightstand. It showed Janus with…someone. Another man. Both dressed in suits, sitting at a bar. Janus was basically grinning compared to the other one's barely visible smile, though that might be just the glasses covering his face.

His eyes fell down to the nightstand. There was a drawer. He looked inside to find an ornate wooden box, he took it out of the drawer. Curiosity got the best of him, it only took a quick glance for him to shut it and place it back into the drawer.

"Patton! Did you find the bathroom?"

Janus called from downstairs. Fuck. He can't come up right now, he'd know Patton's been snooping.

"Yes! Thank you!"

Patton ran to the bathroom, slamming the door shut. What do you do when the stranger you've followed into their home might be a psycho planning to kill you? Google. Google knows the answer to everything.

After finding a few tips online he decided to do the simple and trustworthy background check. He googled Janus Daniels to find out who or what exactly he is.

There were a few unrelated Facebook profiles, two more unrelated websites and then he found it. Janus Daniels. The founder of the Church of cardinal sin.
His (possibly) date was a cultist.

Patton had to get out of there before he ended up as a sacrifice to some demonic god or a straight up demon.

When he opened the door, Janus was already standing in front of the bathroom.

"Is everything alright? You've been gone for a bit."

"Alright- yes. Very much alright."

They went back to the dining room. Patton still hasn't finished his plate after all.

"So…Janus. I haven't even asked you at the bar. Do you consider yourself a religious man?"

"No. My mother was, that's probably what caused a lot of our…differences."

Despite his insistence that he's fine earlier, he didn't seem too excited about the topic of this conversation.

"Nothing ever seemed up to her standards. She was a very religious woman. Always dressing me up for church, making me pray before every meal…constantly obsessed with me going to hell for my choices and whatnot. An opinion she proudly shared with the priest at our church."

He sighed, pouring both Patton and himself more wine.

"I have to admit, I don't really miss it."

"So you're not religious. In any sense? I heard about this fun religion recently. I think it was the Church of…sin or something? Kinda sounds right up your alley?"

Great job, Patton. Real smooth.

"Oh. Is this what it's about?" He laughed. Suddenly brightening up. "I promise, there is nothing to worry about."

"So…you are not a part of a cult?"

"I dislike that word, Patton, cult. No, it's a new exciting religion that I started."

That was reassuring. The narrator said sarcastically.

"Seriously though, it's not really a cult. It's not like we sacrifice animals or take away people's possessions. We are just a bunch of people trying to live our best lives. Most of us are just ex-members of christian communities. You grew up in it, Patton. You know how it is. The rules. The shame. The judgment. Always punished for things that make us human. Everything is always the will of God until it makes you feel any sort of pleasure."

Janus stacked the now empty dishes and carried them to the kitchen. Patton cautiously followed. Janus loaded up the dishwasher, but started to wash the wooden cutting board and knives by hand.

"I didn't enjoy it, Patton. I didn't enjoy feeling like I have to be miserable and deprived to hopefully go to heaven some day." He waved the knife around, probably too focused on the monologue to even realize.

"That's what made me start the Church of cardinal sin. Of course we don't embrace murder or any of the atrocities humanity is capable of. We simply believe there is more to life. We enjoy whatever we can. We drink, we eat, we celebrate, we focus on ourselves and our own happiness. If we only get one life, we should be free to indulge in whatever we damn please."

Alright, that didn't sound like a completely terrifying speech of a deranged maniac. Hopefully. He leaned against the kitchen island.

"Oh- that…doesn't sound too bad."

"You sound disappointed. Were you hoping to be a part of some great and bloody ritual?"

"No-"

Janus smirked, cleaning off his hands. What was it with him and smirking?

"Good, I'd really hate to disappoint you, Patton."

Patton felt a bit awkward. So the stranger he followed home wasn't going to kill him (probably), but he was a cult leader (technically) and he did have a knife hidden in the bedroom (literally).

"But what about the knife?"

"Knife? Oh, Patton. Did you go somewhere you weren't supposed to?"

"I'm sorry! I was just curious and the box looked pretty!"

"It's alright. I understand, but for your own sanity, I recommend not digging around this place too much."

What was that supposed to mean?

"What do you mean-"

Janus stepped closer to him, putting his hands by either side of his body effectively trapping him against the counter.

"I am a man of…particular taste, Patton. There are things you probably wouldn't be too happy to find."

Patton felt his face warming up. He pushed himself further against the counter in an effort to get away from Janus' gaze and the increasing warmth.

"Are you sure about that?"

He felt Janus come even closer, basically breathing down his neck. Or maybe literally. He shivered as Janus placed a single kiss on his neck, moving his hands to grab his hips.

"Is this alright?" Janus asked with his face still pressed against the nook of Patton's neck.

"Yes."

"Good. I'd hate to make you feel uncomfortable, Patton."

He lifted his head to finally press his lips against Patton's. The counter now pressed uncomfortably into Patton's lower back until Janus' hands made their way to the back of his thighs, easily lifting him to sit on the counter.

Janus deepened the kiss, continuing to rub his thighs. He pulled him closer, pressing their bodies together as he returned to his neck, pressing a few kisses before softly biting the flesh.

He pulled away, making Patton let out a soft whine. "Do you want me to properly show you my bedroom?"

After a small nod, Janus once again offered his hand and led him upstairs. They stumbled into the bedroom, immediately falling down on the bed.
Janus pulled Patton into his lap, waiting mere seconds before pushing his tongue into Patton's mouth. Grabbing his hip while his other hand quickly unbuttoned the cardigan.

Even with Janus biting and licking down his neck and lifting his shirt, he still couldn't stop staring at the nightstand. "Everything alright, Patton?"

"Wha- yes. Sorry. Just got lost in my thoughts for a bit."

"Were you thinking about the knife again?"

Damn it. Patton wasn't particularly subtle about his staring.

"I promise it was never used to hurt anyone…or at least not in a way they wouldn't enjoy."

"What do you mean-" it's not like you could stab someone in a nice way…right?

"If you really are interested, Patton…I could always show you."

He carefully pushed Patton off and went to retrieve the ornate box. Inside was a beautiful knife. The handle was made of two snakes wrapped around each other and the blade looked sharp enough to cut the tension in the room.

Janus softly pushed Patton back into the bad, straddling his hips. His knife found its way to the hem of Patton's shirt and then carefully slipped under it. "Let me ask you, Patton." He let the dull side of the blade rest against Patton's stomach. "How attached are you to this shirt?"

Patton audibly gulped, the cold feel of metal giving him goosebumps while the man above him made him unbearably hot.

"Not at all."

Janus softly pushed the blade upwards, cutting through the soft blue fabric.

Patton wasn't sure how to feel. He felt exposed. He felt scared, but not entirely in a bad way? Did that even make sense?

"No need to worry, Patton." Janus began unbuttoning his shirt. "Even if I did somehow accidentally cut you, you would barely feel it. I always make sure the blade is properly sharpened."

"That's a relief- I think?"

Janus laughed, leaning down to kiss him again, still holding the knife.

"Are you sure you're not gonna sacrifice me?"

"Patton, please. It sounds like you'd be interested in that more than me."

He froze. Does it really? And more importantly, did he really?

"Really, Patton? Are you really that disappointed that the stranger you met at the bar might be a regular, stable person?"

"No! I just-"

Janus pushed his head back, softly placing the flat side of the knife against his neck.

"Is this what you want, Patton?" Patton felt the blood rush through his veins. His heart throbbing in his ears. He wanted to shiver against the cold blade, but forced himself to remain still to avoid getting cut.

Maybe he did want it. Maybe he did want to be at the mercy of this odd cult leader and the incredibly sharp piece of metal.

"Please."

It was as if a switch flipped inside Janus. He reached over into the nightstand to pull out more items.

"Are you familiar with the traffic light system, Patton?"

"No."

"Very well then. It works as a regular traffic light. Green means go, red means stop, yellow is for a pause or proceeding with caution."

He grabbed a piece of black and yellow rope, checking to make sure there aren't any knots.

"I will of course make sure to check whether you're alright. If you say green, I'll continue. If you say red, everything stops immediately. If you're unsure about anything or if something makes you even slightly uncomfortable, yellow will let me know."

Patton nodded, curiously watching Janus' movements.

"Good. Now tell me, Patton. Have you ever been tied up before?"

"I haven't."

"Would you like to be?"

This wasn't something Patton thought about often. Actually, it's something he never even considered before.

"I think so."

Janus grabbed his hands, carefully tying them together, making sure the knots weren't too tight before tying them to the bedpost.

Patton tried tugging at them experimentally. It did not hurt, but he certainly wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"Too tight?"

"Not at all."

"Good."

He went to unbuckle his pants, sliding them off. They ended up on the floor next to the cardigan and soon followed by his underwear.

"You're beautiful like this, all splayed out for me."

Patton blushed, trying to cover himself, which obviously didn't work with no available hands.

"God, I don't even know where to start with you."

He leaned down, slowly kissing down his jaw, his neck, lower to his chest, stopping to bite one of his nipples, enjoying the way his back arched and breath hitched.

"Look at you squirming under me. I barely even touched you."

He once again placed the blade near him, this time to his chest, being careful not to so much as scratch him.

"This should keep you from moving for a bit."

With his other hand he traced his hand down Patton's body, lightly brushing against his crotch. "Is this alright, Patton?"

"Yes, please-"

Janus wrapped his hand around Patton's cock, keeping his grasp loose and pace painfully slow. Patton didn't seem too excited, but still appreciated even the slightest stimulation.

"Do you remember the colors, Patton? Tell me your color."

"Green?"

Janus didn't seem to be satisfied with the answer.

"That sounds more like a question, Patton. Come on, let me know how you actually feel!"

Patton tried to answer with more confidence-

"Gr-Een!"

-just as Janus brushed the tip of his cock before finally tightening his grasp.

"Much better. You're doing so well, Patton."

He carefully moved the blade closer to Patton's neck, continuing his movements.

Patton was getting close. He tried to pull on the rope to no avail. Janus didn't stop, but also didn't give him enough to finish. It was torture. Sweet torture.

"You look beautiful like this. I could do this forever. Not even touching you, simply watching as you struggle and whimper beneath me."

His current worst fear came true. The movement stopped. Janus pulled both of his hands away, once again reaching into the dreaded drawer.

"Do you think we should move this along, Patton?"

He opened a small bottle, pouring a small amount of lube on his fingers. Patton nodded, while Janus slowly opened his legs, his fingers finding their way inside.

He entered one, but soon added another digit.

"You're not new to this, are you?"

Patton shook his head.

"Good. That makes me happy. Do you know why, Patton? Do you know why it makes me happy?"

He shook his head again, trying his hardest to actually focus on whatever Janus was saying.

"Because it means you've been allowing yourself to feel good. I want you to feel good, Patton. I want to make you feel good. Will you allow me that pleasure?"

A nod.

Janus got up from the bed. Patton watched intently as he finally took off his clothes. The shirt joined the other articles of clothing on the bedroom floor and revealed another scar across the left side of his chest as well as his shoulder.

There he was. In the bed of a random stranger he met at the bar. Naked. Tied up. With a way too fancy knife next to him. He really has to come up with an excuse if he doesn't want Virgil to murder him over this.

He climbed over to Patton, once again spreading his legs. "Tell me your color, dear."

"Green."

It didn't take more than a second before Janus was positioning himself at Patton's entrance.

"Good. You know the colors. You are going to use them for me."

He slowly pushed in, stopping to let Patton adjust. In the meantime he once again picked up the knife to slide the dull side across Patton's chest and stomach. He lightly traced random lines all over his skin.

"Color, dear Patton?"

"Green!"

Janus slowly started thrusting in and out, while the knife found its favorite place at the nook of Patton's neck.

"This is exactly what I was talking about, Patton."

He fastened his pace, using his free hand to slide across Patton's chest until it once again ended up around his cock, giving a few firm strokes in time with his thrusts.

"Some people would say this is wrong. Does it feel wrong, Patton?"

"N-no!"

"That's right. It feels good, doesn't it?"

"Yes! Please, Janus-"

"You love it! You love feeling me deep inside you! You love the coldness in your skin. You're taking me so well, Patton and you feel so good. How could something this good be bad?"

"I-It…can't?"

Patton yelped when Janus thrust the knife right next to his head, piercing the mattress before he used his now free hands to grab Patton's hips, further keeping him still.

"That's right!"

Patton felt something warm drip down the side of his neck.

"Oh, I'm sorry, dearest. I didn't mean to."

He quickly bent down to lick the crook of his neck before going on for a kiss. Patton tasted blood. His blood. He didn't even notice the knife scratching him.

"It's alright! I don't-"

"You're perfect, Patton. In every single way. I would do anything to have you like this all to myself."

"Janus-"

Patton grasped at the rope still tied around the bedpost.

"It's alright, Patton. I want you to feel good. Cum for me. Show me how good you feel!"

He didn't have to ask twice, Patton came just a bit before Janus pulled out. He wrapped his hand around his own dick, letting his own cum mix with Patton's on his stomach.

"You're different than I expected, Patton. I thought you'd decline my offer, maybe even send me to hell. But look at you! Covered in cum, tied to a bedpost. You probably wouldn't even care if I tried to sacrifice you right now, would you?"

Patton nodded, while Janus went to untie him.

"Do you have any other plans for tonight?"

"Not really."

He felt a warm cloth rub against his stomach.

"Would you like to stay over?"

"I guess…sure. Why not?"

It's not like he had the energy to go anywhere else.

"Very well then, but first let me tie that up for you. I'm so sorry!"

"It's just a scratch, it's fine! You don't have to-"

Janus gently stroked his cheek. "Please, Patton. Let me take care of you."

Notes:

If my dear friends are reading this...I love y'all! I won't stop though.
