Chapter Text
This was decidedly NOT how Techno wanted to spend his morning, tied up in the back of a wagon on his way to who knows where. He thought that this country would be better for him to hide out in than the last since his wanted posters had a much lower price but seems like he'll have to make his own country to ever not be on the run.
Oh well, he'll just escape whatever prison they throw him in and find a new hideout. Not that big of a deal.
But the wagon ride was very annoying. It was long and bumpy and way too early to be dealing with this. He hadn't even finished brewing his coffee so yes it wan't a big deal but it was a huge pain to deal with.
By the time the forest they were riding through started to thin out it was almost noon. The trees got smaller and the road less bumpy. Eventually they were surrounded by farms and then smaller houses. The road turned into bricks, the houses kept getting bigger, and the surroundings only became more crowded.
In the distance the castle of the Edlanta Empire towered above the bussing city. It was a beautiful castle, black glass making up most of the towers and white stone walls full of plants and life.
In all the places Techno would want to live if given the choice of anywhere in the world, that castle was up there on the list. It was the most elegant castle he knew of, and he had been to quite a few castles (granted not as a tourist but still). The only other that came close to the beauty and life the Edlantian castle was the solid ice castle Phil owned in the tundra near the Artic… basically on the other side of the world from the crispy, chilled Edlantic air from the north pole.
Techno did his best to ignore the stares of curios villagers and whispered rumors around him as they finally came to the gates of the castle.
From there, he's was uncermoniously lead down to the dungeons of the castle. Dropped off at a random cell, and left.
"Hey!" Techno shouted after the guards as they walked away, "Why am I here! Do you know how many prisons I've broken out from!! Do you really think you can keep ME locked up in HERE?"
That caught one of the guards' attention as they reached the door. They turned back, looked Techno straight in the eye, and said, "Yes."
They exited, the dungeon door leading to the staircase slammed shut and that was that.
And so started one of the weirdest prison stays of his life.
