Chapter 1: GBRT: Origin

Chapter Text

Todoroki had a special ringtone set for Midoriya. He wasn’t called often, but two people he wanted to always be aware are calling him were his father and Midoriya. Former, to be ignored, latter to answer as soon as possible. And so, before first ring was over, he already had a phone by his ear. And before he could greet his friend—

“Shouto-kun! Listen, I need your help, quick! I’m in Tartarus right now, and—”

The call cut off into a long beep. He tried dialing back, but there was no signal anymore.

This only could mean one thing. Shouto opened the class group chat to deliver the news.

Shouto: Emergency meeting in the common room in 10 minutes. Midoriya has been imprisoned in Tartarus.

It took longer to get the class quiet than it took to explain just what Shouto has learned from his brief call with Midoriya. Which sparked another riot, as what most of class suspected to be ‘another Todoroki conspiracy’ was actually real.

“Midoriya would never be a criminal!”, yelled Mineta.

“And if he would, he would never do enough to be deserving of Tartarus! A perversion of justice is at play, for sure!”, added Iida, chopping the air intensely.

“Not to spoil the mood, but are we absolutely sure we aren’t missing any context? Can’t we ask the teachers to verify it?”, questioned the ever-reasonable and mild Ojiro.

“No way, dude! Teachers will lie just to make sure we won’t do anything! Something like this will totally get covered up!”, Kaminari yelled, sparking with outrage.

“While I definitely do not want to abandon our dear classmate, we have to make sure our information is correct.”, Yaoyorozu concluded, several others nodding their heds to agree with her.

“Okay. Does anyone here have a way to discretely check on Tartarus?”, Todoroki asked, with no hint of sarcasm in his voice whatsoever.

“What about you? Isn’t your dad Number One hero?”, Ashido tilted her head.

“He is, but he is not fond of police. He doesn’t have that many contacts there.”

“I’m sorry to say, but my family does not have that high a connection either!”, Iida added, bowing down in shame.

“Veil of shadow falls over our friend’s situation already...”, Tokoyami hummed.

“Uhm... Perhaps moi can help here?”, Aoyama piped up, unusually reserved for context of conversation.

“Dude, you have contacts in Tartarus?!”, Sero stared at him in shock.

Oui. However, it is strictly confidentiel, so my source will be contacted in secret.”

“Go ahead, Aoyama! We trust you!”, Hagakure cheered.

“Not like we have better options.”, Jirou mumbled in agreement.

With a bow, Aoyama quickly left towards his room, leaving the class to plan for potential outcomes of his contact with whatever source he meant.

All For One had many a quirk at his disposal. And sure, wardens at this silly little jail thought they could control them all. That phone jamming technology they deployed against All Might’s young successor was truly marvelous, yet did nothing to jam the Telepath-Phone quirk. Which he was now receiving a call over.

That was curious in and of itself. Few people had access to number he attuned that quirk to, so whoever it was, it was someone he needed to be able to contact without being traced at any point. With a mental click, he picked the call up, voice resonating within his mind.

“A-Ah... Monsieur?”

The spy boy. Curious. This one was quite cowardly. Normally, he’d never make contact unless directly pressured to. The only possibility would be... No, the boy wouldn’t be foolish enough to ask something of him now, right? Not when he’s on his Tartarus vacation?

I am listening.

“Ah! You’re there, Monsieur. I, uh, needed to, uhm. For my mission of. Spying, I need to confirm some. Information. If that is acceptable?”

A bold lie. Yet All For One was bored enough to entertain it.

What is it.

“Did you, perchance, see one monsieur Midoriya? In your current predicament, that is...”

...did they know? About the boy’s presence here? From what he could gather, that secret was supposed to be closely kept.

All For One felt a smile creep onto his face. This will prove amusing indeed, if nothing else.

Young boy with Superpower quirk? That I have. He was just across from me not long ago. Although it appears he was escorted for some thorough lecturing regarding disobeying the rules, I’m sure he’ll be back eventually. Is that all you wished to know?

Mon Dieu... I m-mean, no, that was all I had, Monsieur! I appreciate your kindness!”

And with that the call was over. Very, very interesting. Perhaps he should ready up Search. He just tends to have feelings like that, when quirks might be useful ahead of time...

***

“Everyone! This is la catastrophe! Monsieur Midoriya is being held in cell directly across from Scourge of Kamino and, quite likely, is being tortured!”

The riot in the common room erupts once more.

Aoyama is grateful nobody chooses to question his sources. Because he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to explain that.

Planning Phase, 10:32, Saturday

With the confirmation of Midoriya’s imprisonment in place, even more reasonable ones, which basically just meant Yaoyorozu and Ojiro, agreed that action needed to be taken. And after no debate whatsoever, the most obvious course of action was chosen.

They’re busting Midoriya out of Tartarus.

“I knew HPSC were rotten! Totally knew! No way they would have such bad wage distribution among the heroes!”, Uraraka yelled, already floating towards the ceiling.

“...Tartarus is an island. That’s good, ribbit.”, Tsu mused out loud, catching Uraraka before she could hit a chandelier.

“We’re gonna need more people... Nineteen is not enough to take on the most secure prison in the country.”, Sato hummed, scratching his head.

“A-and... All the heroes that will defend it...”, Koda added meekly.

“We’ll need plan for afterwards too. It would be unwise to break Midoriya out only to get caught...”, Yaoyorozu was tapping her chin, already formulating a plan.

“Midoriya can befriend people easily. That means a lot of people will be willing to help him.”, Todoroki nodded.

“Who here has friends among class 1-B? Our relationship has not been the most friendly, but I know for certain they are not the type to leave a comrade behind!”, Iida asked the question, quickly taking charge of the situation.

A total of six hand went up. Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu, Mineta and three of Shoji’s.

“Contact them ASAP! We’ll also need any other friends we know Midoriya has that would be willing to assist!”

“There’s that guy from the General course, right? Shinsou. Midoriya sat with him at lunch several times.”, Ashido suggested.

Several more people were suggested to be brought into the fold in following few minutes.

Twenty minutes later, all students of class 1-B and a few students from other classes arrived at 1-A dormitory and planning for the great Tartarus breakout began.

Execution Phase, 20:00, Saturday

Team D

A group of U.A. students, wearing uniforms, approach HPSC headquarters in Tokyo. They are welcomed at the reception, but told that the tours are over for the day and to come on Wednesday next week instead.

Rather than sigh with sadness, the students turn to the one with a speech bubble for the head. Who turns around towards the entrance and yells.

“LOOOOOOOOM!”

Suddenly, giant letters appear out of thin air, stretching high up to the ceiling of rich entrance hall of this over decorated building... And blocking the entrance. In seconds, another boy touches the letters and the floor, a pulse of energy emanating from the point of contact.

A firm looking boy with glasses speaks for the group.

“My apologies for our rather late intrusion! However, we have come to take this building under control! This is a hostage situation from now on!”, he announces, gesturing wildly.

With nobody in the lobby but the receptionists and students, the threat did not have the expected impact.

To accentuate his words several students activated their quirk. Mantis boy sprouted several blades, gorilla boy enlarged, plain boy’s whole arm spun like a drill and a short girl’s horns were now floating and pointing at the receptionists.

That’s when they realized that it wasn’t an elaborate prank. But it was too late to react or press any panic buttons, as glue is shot at them, immobilizing them, rest of students rushing past the reception and deeper into the building, combat ready.

Execution Phase, 20:12, Saturday

HPSC President

“An attack on this building?! Who is it?!”, she yelled at the poor Mera, who rushed himself into her office to inform her.

“I am not sure, Ma’am... but they must have known about the delayed scheduled meeting for 9 O’clock today... Or they were just lucky...?”

“Where are the heroes?! Why are intruders still in the building?!”

“They are... sealing all entrances and windows as they go up. The building is... being fortified, Ma’am...”

“Even secret evacuation route?”

“It’s... in the basement, Ma’am. We can’t get there... Because the elevator has been disabled. And, uh... They’re using stairs so...”

“I want. Every hero in the country to be here now! Where’s Hawks?!”

“...infiltrating PLF? We can’t call him back without sabotaging—”

“Mera. You do realize that all but one members of the Hero Public Safety Commission are currently on the floor below us, in the conference room. And the final one is ME! If they successfully take over this building, they can make whatever demands they want with the entire Commission under a gunpoint? Get Hawks here to extract us now!”

“I-I’ve already alerted general hero network, but I will contact Hawks now too—”

Suddenly the doors burst open, two teenage boys rushing in. One of them was covered in metal sheen, while the other looked like he was some sort of rock. Right behind them came a boy with a large tail and girl with horns.

Hands in the fucking air! The building is under our control now!”, announced the girl, highlighting first sentence by saying it in perfect English.

Mera instantly was trembling, eyes wide and hands up. President was not so easily overwhelmed.

“A bunch of children... Just what are you hoping to achieve here? If you value your lives, you will stand down. Heroes show no mercy to terrorists.”

Then, a boy with blue hair and engines in legs marched into the room. With how other kids gave way to him, he seemed to be the leader.

“Madam President, I will request that you move down to the conference room floor and join the rest of Commission. It would be hard to handle our hostages while they are on different floors.”, he announced, motioning towards the door. Something about that boy was almost familiar... Did she see his face in a report before or something?

“You kids have no idea how much this little stunt will cost you.”

“We’re perfectly aware of consequences! However, injustice of this institution can be tolerated no longer!”

Great. They’re not just kids. They’re social activist kids. Fantastic. There’s no reasoning with stupid.

She sighed and raised her hands. She wasn’t too concerned with her life. Kids couldn’t really be serious. And no way they could put up a serious fight once pros get there. Sure, few were around for immediate response, but word got out. Hawks wasn’t reached, so he’ll be of no use, but even without him, this bunch of kids stood no chance at all.

Shoji’s multiple ears and eyes looked and listened into the darkness, lights of Tartarus prison off in the distance. Rest of students on the large motorboat were prepared, some wearing wetsuits already.

“...Diversion team’s attack was success. No issues encountered. According to Hatsume, Yoroi Musha and Gang Orca both pulled away from the area and towards Tokyo.”, Todoroki announced to the rest of the team. Smiles were exchanged. They were doing it!

“Hatsume actually hacked Hero Network communications, huh? That’s... incredible actually.”, Kendo commented. Her tone indicated that she still had no idea how she managed to get dragged into this.

“Indeed. Asui, Mineta, Tokage, your turn.”, Todoroki, leader of this team, ordered.

“Call me Tsu, ribbit.”, Asui ribbited, grabbing the shaking Mineta and diving underwater. Tokage flashed the rest of the group a grin before diving after them.

With this part starting, Todoroki had some time to think again. He looked over at the island taunting him. Trapping his friend... Don’t worry, Midoriya. We’re coming for you.

Planning Phase, 11:01, Saturday

Green Bean Rescue Team

Todoroki added Iida, Yaoyorozu, Uraraka and 45 others.

Todoroki: Let’s go over basics of the plan again.

Kaminari: pog new chat

Kaminari changed 46 names.

Froggit: How does he do it so fast every time.

Joker: Does Class A always waste time with frivolous things like that?

Joker: I almost regret agreeing to join this

Rock Hard: No, that’s just Kaminari. Plus it’s a rushjob, names are barely funny or original

Pikachu: You wound me

Birdman: Why is my name shared with someone

Birdman(2): What’s this

Candyman: Please stay on topic. We have to rescue Midoriya here.

Candyman: Now, back to the plan

Candyman: We agreed that we need an extremely large distraction to pull away attention from Tartarus.

Mr. Speed: Breaching its defenses will be hard enough without needing to engage pro heroes!

Candyman: Exactly. So with help from @BoomBoomGirl we can shut down communication between Tartarus and Hero Network, giving us time to extract Midoriya without heroes responding.

Mrs. Karate Chop: Is that really possible?

BoomBoomGirl: WATCH ME!!!

Execution Phase, 20:22, Saturday

News Report

We interrupt our broadcast for emergency news. HPSC Headquarters in Tokyo have just been attacked by an unknown group of villains. We are not yet aware of any details, and heroes responding don’t appear to be either. What is known is that the building has been sealed from inside by the group, and that they appear to have entire board of HPSC hostage, alongside all the workers of the building. The group is yet to make any demands, announce themselves or even show themselves. Endeavor has already arrived to the scene, but a little too late, as the top floor windows have just been sealed shut with use of unknown quirk. We’ll update you as the situation develops.

Execution Phase, 20:23, Saturday

Kuroiro stalked across the dark wall of the building, peering at the commotion rapidly gathering in front, unseen by anyone. Heroes were rapidly crowding out the area, though none dared to make a move. There seemed to be a lot of arguing, too. They had no clue how to act... They needed to move onto the next stage of their team’s plan.

He slinked back into the building through a small dark crack and rushed towards their team’s leader.

“Ah! Kuroiro-kun! What’s the situation outside?”, asked Iida.

“Seems fine for the moment... But very tense. They might attempt breaching if we don’t throw them a bone.”

“Hey, Iida! Yaoyorozu, Awase, Kodai, Bondo and Fukidashi are done! Building is sealed off! No exits left! Also, I swept the floors and made sure we didn’t miss any hostages!”, Hagakure announced.

“Good job! Now, duty distribution! Kodai, Yanagi, Komori, Yaoyorozu, Tsuburaba and Tsunotori stand guard near windows on floors 28 and 3, the hostage floors. Split up among yourselves. Also make sure hostages don’t try to escape. Kirishima, Tetsutetsu, Kamakiri, Shishida, Kaibara, you go to floor 1 and guard main entrance. Fukidashi, Bondo, Shoda, Hagakure, guard the rooftop access! Kurorio, keep spying on the outside and warn us if pros start making a move! Me, Ojiro and... Excuse me, I was never properly introduced?”

“Oh, just, like, call me Camie? I’m, like, casual like that, Mr. Speed.”, responded the girl in Shiketsu uniform.

“Right... Well, we are going to the floor 29. Next phase of our group’s plan is about to start. Get the cameras ready! We’re about to show the world truth and justice!”

Planning Phase, 11:12, Saturday

Camie: No different name for me?

Camie: Laaame.

Pikachu: I didn’t know who the last 3 people were how am I supposed to meme there

Camie: Improv, bruh

Camie changed 2 names.

C4M13: yeeeee

Torn Aydo: I do not understand the reference!

BoomBoomBoy: You invited THESE fuckers? What the fuck, Half’n’half?

Candyman: They related to the failings of commission and are willing to help us

Alien: Ohshit we got non-ua people here?

Shindou changed their name to Quake 17.

Quake 17: Yes. Midoriya has made quite an impact on me.

Ducttape: Was that a fucking pun

Candyman: Regardless, Camie’s quirk will be perfect for our plan for Diversion team. And the other two can help by holding up their schools and preventing aid from those.

***

Execution Phase, 20:02, Saturday

Team K

“So... They should have entered HPSC building now. Do we start now?”, Shindou asked his partner.

“Sure!”, Honenuki flashed a thumbs up.

“So, Midoriya... Quite an impression maker, huh? I really wonder what he did to piss off the Commission and get himself in Tartarus... But I ain’t training to be a hero just to become a puppet.”

“Neither am I!”, Honenuki flashed doubled thumbs up.

“What about you? How’d you get roped into this? Doesn’t U.A. have this A-B class rivalry going?”

“We make it work.”, Honenuki nodded with a smile... Probably. His expression seemed glad, though his mouth did not change it’s shape.

“Anyway... We’re moating my own school. You know, this crazy plan of yours better work.”

“The plan is entirely 1-A. We’re just happy to help. Even if they are the crazy ones.”

“I don’t want to believe that... But somehow I believe you.”

With that, two boys planted their hands on the ground and activated their quirks. And the earth surrounding Ketsubutsu Academy High School sunk.

***

Execution Phase, 20:11, Saturday

Team S

“Ahahahaha! Our quirks are perfect combination!”

“Right? Right? Midoriya is such a smart boy! Apparently Todoroki got the idea to team us up from peeking at Midoriya’s notebooks! That’s incredible, huh?”

“Indeed! Midoriya is not someone I know well, but Todoroki told me a lot! He’s the only person Todoroki talks about without being asked! Which must mean he is incredible person! To help him and Todoroki both is an honor!”

“And you’re not upset about hurting your own school, huuuh?”

“It is less dishonorable than letting the corruption of HPSC take away honest heroes like Midoriya! Plus, we’re only surrounding the building!”

And so the storm raged on, as Yoarashi and Nejire channeled their quirk, Yorashi’s tornado growing larger with Nejire’s energy and her energy being sped up and swept into the giant maelstrom surrounding Shiketsu High School.

Blessed Child: Indeed. To overthrow oppressive government and release the innocent is a virtue, yet to fight one’s teachers is a sin.

Mr. Speed: Oh no.

U.A. Staff

Warning. Absolute Lockdown initiated. All students and staff are to remain where they are for their own safety. All defenses active with maximum severity. Leaving your current location will be considered disobeying the rules and grounds for termination. Please await until the danger passes.

Kayama dropped her cards, while Yamada simply sat with mouth wide open.

“Is that...”, Kayama mumbled.

HOLY SHIT! Are we under attack?!”

“Welp, nothing we can do there.”, Maijima groaned as he made his way to the couch.

“Nothing we can do? My students might be in danger!”, Kan roared, his whole body tensing up.

“It’s Absolute Lockdown. Nedzu’s Final Solution of sorts. I wasn’t even allowed to help design it, and he’s the only one with authority to start it or lift it. All I know is that if we try to leave the staff room right now, we will get shot. Lethally. And unlike the lockdown protocol, I did help design those robots.”

With that, Power Loader was officially off-duty, leaning over for a nap.

“Well, I won’t stand for this! And neither will Shouta! Right, Shouta?”

A big, yellow sleeping bag in the corner of staff room wiggled and mumbled something about problem children.

“...okay, fine, Kayama, you with me? Kan?”

“Obviously.”

“Let’s give Nedzu a piece of our mind.”

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”, Maijima waves them off.

“Aaand, they’re trapped.”

Nedzu grinned at the fight on the monitor, between several robots with full combat features enabled and the few more defiant members of his staff.

“Thank you very much, Mr. Principal... But also, while stopping them, make sure they don’t really get hurt...”, Koda pleaded.

“Of course, of course I won’t let them get hurt! But I also have to not let them reach  my office and lift the lockdown, correct?”

“Uhm... Yes, that’s correct...”

“Okay, nobody else seems to be resisting the lockdown in the facility.”, Jiro announced, pulling a jack out of the wall.

“Great! We can kick back and watch teachers and robots duke it out! Sounds fun!”, Kaminari laughed.

“Uhm... Are you sure it’s okay for me to be controlling the principal like this...?”, questioned Koda.

“Ethically, no, practically, it’s absolutely necessary!”, piped Hatsume voice from behind her laptop... Which was more a full on portable supercomputer, currently plugged into Nedzu’s systems, that somehow could fold into a neat laptop-sized briefcase. “And... done. All systems we will need for our plan, taken over and in my control!”

“Damn... You’re scary, you know that, Hatsume?”, Jiro shuddered.

“Nobody touches my Ten Million without my permission!”

Execution Phase, 20:37, Saturday

Team T

Asui and Mineta both resurfaced, alongside Tokage’s bust... Literally, just her neck and mouth, with rest of her body and face missing. She was grinning though, which indicated success. While Mineta was given basic first aid for his bleeding scalp and all three were offered blankets, Todoroki turned to Tokoyami.

“Your turn. Time to show them why we chose to attack at nightfall. But first... Aoyama, Rin, take out the external spotlights.”

This would officially begin the siege on Tartarus. The operation down below by the trio earlier was just a preparation for this stage.

A volley of scales and several blasts of glittery laser shot towards the fortress in the sea, knocking all lights out.

And so, Tsukuyomi rises, a monster of kaiju proportions in the darkness of the twilight, and swipes at the outer wall, breaching it in a single blow.

Rin, back at the boat’s controls, maneuvers towards the breach as the guards start lining up around the perimeter and taking shots at the monster of darkness.

Todoroki took a deep breath and channeled his inner Midoriya.

“Alright, we’re in the main phase now! Sato, Kendo, you take out the artillery to prevent Tokoyami from getting blasted. Mineta, Sero, you’re on prisoner duty, make sure no convict other than Midoriya and the other one we’re breaking out get released. Tokage, Shoji, scan the facility for their location. Ashido, Uraraka, you’re our breachers, once we find them, you’re getting them out. Aoyama, Tsu, Rin, cover Tokoyami while he’s out there. Once perimeter guard is dealt with, join us inside. Monoma, Bakugo and myself will be the main vanguard to deal with defenses inside. Eri— Eri?!”

Everyone turned towards a little girl that somehow was on the boat with them. The whole time. Without anyone noticing. When the hell did she sneak in?!

“I want to help save Deku-san too!”

...

“Correction. Ashido, Uraraka, you’re breachers and babysitters.”

“Are you seriously suggesting taking that kid inside Tartarus with us?”, Rin asked, dumbfounded.

“She snuck out with us all the way to here, including onto the boat. You’re free to try and stop her from going further. At least that way we’ll know where she is.”

“Fair ‘nuff.”

“Alright! Let’s rescue Deku, everyone!”, Uraraka pumped her fist in the air.

Everyone, including little Eri, cheered as they disembarked the boat and rushed through the broken wall and into the most secure prison in the country.

Midoriya Apartment

Midoriya Inko was simply watching evening news. Such concerning events, villains attacking HPSC headquarters directly... Oh, poor Izuku... She really shouldn’t have allowed him to become a hero. In such troubled times, it can lead only to...

No, don’t think about it... Think about... how happy he is now... And try not to cry... Oh no, where’s the tissues...

It’s weird that the broadcast cut out suddenly, TV signal lost to static. What’s weirder is that at exact same time, doorbell of her apartment rang. Her heart sank, the events reminding her of an old horror movie. She slowly approached the door and asked.

“W-Who’s there?”

“Excuse me? I’m friend of Midoriya’s, from school. Is this his mom?”

Something happened to Izuku and his friends were there to tell her oh no oh gods-

She rapidly opened the door, looking at Izuku’s friend, and though this boy was somehow familiar to her, she didn’t quite remember him visiting Izuku before.

“Hello, Midoriya-san. Did I wake you up?”

“Oh, no, don’t w—”

And her eyes and mind both went blank.

“Get dressed into your normal outdoors clothing.”, Shinsou ordered.

He didn’t particularly like his role in the plan. It felt more like kidnapping than protective custody, even if he knew the importance of making sure HPSC couldn’t get to Midoriya’s mom when they inevitably figure out true nature of the grand plan.

Once she was dressed, he ordered her to close down the apartment and follow him outside, all the way to the car waiting for the two. With another order, she was sitting in the back seat beside him, where he could easily restore control of her if some nasty road bump broke it.

“Are we ready, kouhai?”, asked the yellow-haired older boy at the wheel.

“Yeah. She’ll be safe and won’t remember a thing. Now get us towards extraction point, golden boy.”

This wasn’t the team with most chemistry, but there wasn’t much Mirio could contribute beyond the driving license he obtained just the other day, and they really couldn’t afford Midoriya Inko panicking and ruining the plan if she learned of her son’s imprisonment, hence Shinsou was there. A very simple step in the plan, yet very important.

“GBRT! Correct!”

“Wait, GBRT, doesn’t that stand for—”, asked a ditzy female voice.

“Camie-san! Please do not reveal personal information regarding our operation on live television?”, the boy on screen looked to the off-screen with annoyance

“Oh, shit, we live? Oh, shit, did I just swear on TV? Am I gonna like, go to jail for this?”, female voice asked with concern.

“We’re all going to jail either way if this doesn’t work...”, the off-screen male voice sighed with resignation.

“Alright! We’ve established that the broadcast is working. Now, before our group can officially announce our intentions and demands towards the hero society and HPSC, we wish that our position and perspective be understood. For that, we prepared a very special presentation regarding certain things that HPSC concealed from public. My assistant will provide visual aid, however our off-site technician is already uploading all original data to the various internet archives, so peruse at your own interest! This will include such things as assassinations against public officials, ordered and organized by HPSC board members, child trafficking program for training prospective heroes with no regard for heroism, only direct loyalty to HPSC, wrongful imprisonment—, ahem, I mean, deceiving public about real level of legal equality between various quirk types and more. I will now proceed to extrapolate on every point while my assistant will provide imagery to better stimulate your minds! Assistant, are you ready?”

HPSC President

This can’t be happening. How... How did they have all this info? How did a bunch of kids get their hands on HPSC’s most damning secrets? How were they hijacking news broadcast to show it off to entirety of japan, while holding main authority capable of ordering its censorship hostage...

Was... was there even a recovery from this? They already brought up Lady Nagant and Hawks. Her career as president really was over, wasn’t it? Even if heroes breach the building and arrest every single one of these brats, the stuff they exposed, even portion of it, would be enough to spark full on public riots. That’s why those secrets were kept secrets!

But how?! How did they get all that info?!

Uraraka’s Dorm Room

She was dialing the number of her old phone she lost back during the summer camp fiasco. This was a very stupid and very risky idea but—

“Hello-hello, Uraraka speaking!”

Wow, was it creepy to hear her own voice respond to her on the phone.

“Himiko-chan, I know it’s you and it’s me, real Uraraka and I want to talk about Deku-kun.”

There is silence. Please take the bait, please take the bait...

“Oh my god! My first proper girl talk! I can’t believe it!”

“Oh, uhm, it’s not quite that... Deku-kun is in big danger, you see—”

“Oh, oh! Is he covered in blood?”

“He’s in prison.”

“Which one?!”

“Listen, we already are making a plan to break him out, and you are not invited!”

“Okay, then I’ll just go and stab some hero government guys who did it to my Izu—”

“We called dibs on that too. Listen, Himiko, I know it’s stupid to ask you this, but... You guys are villains. Do you have any dirt on HPSC you’d want revealed, but couldn’t because nobody would believe you?”

“...I like your thinking, Ochaco-chan! Give me an hour and I’ll send you a copy of our archive!”

The phone hung up and Uraraka sighed in relief. Maybe this will even yield useful information.

On the other side of the phone call, Toga Himiko dropped her Uraraka disguise and headed to raid Skeptic’s stash of blackmail. He won’t mind, surely, considering herolings releasing it will only benefit PLF either way, right?

“Hey, Aizawa, I think your and Vlad’s kids just started a revolution.”, Maijima mused as he browsed through his phone. He tried to ignore distant explosions as Kayama, Yamada and Kan were still trying to fight through utterly impenetrable defense.

“Mrhmm... Give... Midoriya detention...”

“Actually, it’s Iida in the broadcast, not Midoriya.”

Aizawa’s sleeping bag wriggled and tossed, hero refusing to wake up from his well-deserved nap no matter what, mumbling in sleep.

“Still Midoriya’s fault somehow...”

Maijima hummed before slapping his forehead.

“Hatsume fucking Mei. Of course. That’s why the broadcast is still up. Our problem children just can’t be allowed to ever interact, can they?”

Not getting any response from the yellow sleeping bag anymore, he shrugged and decided to browse some fresh memes regarding the situation instead. Hopefully Shuuzenji won’t be too mad at his robots for injuries that the three currently fighting will sustain... Although if they join up with other teachers they may even stand a chance.

Tartarus

Warden Shishikura’s shift was not off to a good start. Within just an hour of his shift as a warden starting, his communications were taken down and now the prison was actively being attacked and infiltrated. By. A bunch. Of kids.

Those kids are absolutely insane. Shishikura tapped at computer in panic, struggling to regain control of the systems, but it seems automated defenses inside the facility have shut off. Hah! Take that, hacker. Tartarus defenses were mechanically designed to not even be able to be turned on the wardens, so the only option hacker would have is just disabling them. Small victories.

Small indeed... Just because the defenses weren’t helping the invaders doesn’t mean the wardens were having easier time. Most were already either frozen still or knocked unconscious with explosions. Another small piece of good news was that they weren’t indiscriminately releasing the prisoners, but aiming for a specific one. Yet with how deep they were heading into facility, could it be they were after...

No. Even if it’s just kids, he has a duty to uphold. There is one system hackers would have no way to access. Warden Shishikura activated the prisoner termination protocol. Last line of defense. If the kids were aiming for someone in the lower levels... The country could not afford any of them escaping.

He prepared for impact that would come with water flooding the underground portion and building starting to sink... But nothing happened. He waited a minute. Two. No... The protocol is infallible... How...?

He switched the camera view to see underwater and...

The foundations were reinforced. With purple balls. The flood vents were plugged. With purple balls. Almost entirety of Tartarus’ underwater foundation was covered in fucking purple balls, stopping the termination protocol mechanically.

Shit. There was nothing he could do anymore. Those kids are fucking insane.

“I just got word from Tokoyami’s squad. They’re done clearing the perimeter and are on the way inside.”, Todoroki reports, “Have we managed to locate Midoriya or the other VIPs?”

“There... Down that that block. Lady Nagant should be there.”, Shoji’s second mouth spoke, while his hand pointed in a direction.

“Do we really have to rescue her too? Wasn’t plan to just get Midoriya out?”, Sero questioned.

“We should. We know the truth now, it’s the right thing to do. Plus, we’re still not aware of where Midoriya is in the facility. Tokage is yet to report back with any of her pieces. Might as well do something in meantime.”

The group consisting of Todoroki, Bakugo, Monoma, Sero, Mineta, Shoji, Ashido and Uraraka all made a turn towards the direction of the other unlawfully held prisoner.

Lady Nagant

Hearing alarms blaring inside Tartarus was... unusual. First time that happened ever since she was imprisoned. Kaina wasn’t even sure what sort of alarm it was. A breakout...? No. That’d be too hopeful. Plus, even if someone were attacking Tartarus to break people out, they’d want to break out villains. Not former HPSC assassins...

Then she saw them. Children. Fucking children broke into the god damn Tartarus. They talked about something, before the pink one started pouring some quirk liquid onto the reinforced glass, while the rosy-cheeked girl picked up some unusually large debris and tossed it at the barrier, shattering it.

With sound-cancelling glass gone, she could hear them speak, but her mind is hazy due to constant drug-induced state of calm prisoners are kept under. She feels her restraints being removed. Why... are children rescuing her? Something is... very wrong...

Haze clears for a moment. Not enough to speak coherently, but enough to understand the children’s words. The one with split hair seems to speak for them all.

“Tsutsumi Kaina, we’re here to rescue you. We know what the Commission did to you.”

She can only muster a muted nod in response. Her body’s too weak, and she finds herself hoisted up on the blonde kid’s back.

“No fair...”, she hears a complaint from short purple boy, before the pink girl smacks him.

“Now, we have to find Midori—Where’s Eri.”

Did they lose someone here? Kids... Crazy kids.

Pink and rosy-cheeked girls look around. Then the whole group seems to panic.

“You’ve lost a 6-year old in fucking Tartarus?!”, roars the blonde kid carrying her, hurting her ears.

Great. So she isn’t just being broken out of Tartarus by a bunch of insane kids. She is being broken out of Tartarus by a bunch of insane and stupid kids.

There better be vodka wherever they’re planning on taking her to...

Overhaul

He is lucky enough to have a normal cell, not some sort of glass terrarium other prisoners get. Perhaps his lack of limbs and, as result, quirk are to blame. He can hear sounds of fighting on and off, wardens rushing past his cell and never coming back.

He remains in his bed, uncaring. It does not matter. He can’t achieve his dream anymore. Not without his hands. Not without his quirk. Not without—

Eri. She’s here. This is a mirage... An illusion. A sick joke.

And yet he gets out of bed and approaches her, as she squeezes her way into the cell through the bars. Of course... She’s but a child. Small enough to fit between them...

“Eri... You’ve come for me...”

She can fix his hands with her curse. And then... he can fix the world. Yes... Little Eri is his. She will always come back to him. It made sense.

He approaches her.

And then he keels over as his little Eri punches him directly into groin.

“That’s for Mirio-san’s quirk!”

Falling down in fetal position, unable to even cup the hurt family bits with his hands, Chisaki whimpers as he sees his little girl squeeze her way out of the cell and walk deeper into the prison facility.

Tokage was leading the way now. Shoji was in full gear scanning the environment for Eri. Tokoyami, Aoyama, Asui, Rin, Sato and Kendo joined them as they now knew where to go.

“Right, and down to the deeper level there. A huge blast door was in the way down there, and absolutely no other way to get in, not even through smallest vents. I bet that’s where the Kamino guy is, and our man’s supposed to be right across from him.”, explained the girl, most of her body reassembled and more pieces flying out of vent entrances to join her as they went deeper.

“Why would Midoriya even be that deep in security?”, Kendo asked.

“His quirk is incredibly strong. It’s potentially on par with All Might in his prime.”, Todoroki explained, omitting his personal theories on the true connection between the two for now.

“I sense them. Eri and Midoriya. They’re in front of a big blast door ahead.”, Shoji announced, unmorphing all the extra sensory features.

“And our getaway?”

“...his cell is one turn to the right, then one turn left from here.”

“Fuckin’ great. Copycat, you’re with me, we’re going there. Rest of you, get the shitty Deku and come join us.”, Bakugo snarled and as they reached a fork, two boys and one carried prisoner woman splitting off from the group.

“Boss...? You’ve been staring at your phone for a while now... Are we gonna do something? Hostage situation and stuff...”, Burnin poked at Endeavor.

“...no. I’m listening. I’m learning a lot today. Turns out HPSC was covering up abuse done by high-ranking pros and disappearing those attempting to expose it. That’s first I’m hearing of anything like that...”

“Uh... boss...?”

“If those paper-pushing bastards have ruined the only pathetic accomplishment I have left in life, my hero ranking spot, by artificially propping me up, they will pay for it...”

“Boss...?  You do realize media is waiting for us to explain why we aren’t doing anything to rescue the HPSC Board, right? I mean, I’m pretty sure, if riots starting in Osaka and Fukuoka are any indication, public will be at least fine with you siding with the ‘terrorists’, but—”

“Go and tell both media and rest of the rescue team that we’re not engaging until we hear the GBRT’s demands.”

“Boss, they’ve just been ranting HPSC’s secrets ever since the broadcast started. I’m not even sure they even have demands to make at this point.”

“Doesn’t matter. As the Number One Hero, I’m currently in charge of the rescue team. This is my order.”

“Ookay... Sure thing, boss. Oh, also, uh, we’ve got news that top three hero schools of the country are under attack too.”

“What?!”

“That got your attention. Welcome back. Apparently Ketsubutsu is surrounded by a sea of quicksand now, Shiketsu is in the eye of some sort of energy tornado and U.A. has entered total lockdown for unknown reasons. The first two disasters are quirk-induced, clearly, but self-sustaining by now, as no perpetrators were found, so we’ve got relief heroes working on it already, but that’s pulling resources from the rescue team—”

“Prioritize the schools. The public will understand importance of children over a bunch of pencil-wielding pricks...”

“Yes, sir!”

“I must say, our work is not the most notable, yet I take pride in doing the simple things for sake of virtue. Would you not agree?”

“...yeah.”

Vines sprouting throughout the Beast’s Forest from both Shiozaki’s head and Amajiki’s arms, uprooting trees and compacting the ground, landscaping the area to suit the needs of their plan.

“What I can’t help but indulge in is curiosity. How could we be so certain that Pussycats shall not come for us? It is their territory we’re crusading, after all...”

“...they got it... somehow.”

“To be of few words is virtuous too. I shall appreciate your humility, my companion.”

“...please stop complimenting me... it feels weird...”

And so the two continued the landscaping efforts.

“How long until the arrival of our long-term escape, if I may indulge curiosity again?”

Amajiki checked his phone.

“...20 minutes... give or take...”

“Here! I made salad for dinner!”

Izumi Kota grinned at his four feline-themed caretakers proudly, displaying a huge bowl of salad made out of forest ingredients.

“Aww... Kitten, you really didn’t have to—”

“I wanna show how much I’ve learned from you! About plants and forest! Try it!”

And so the Wild Wild Pussycats tried their ward’s salad. It was delicious. For all fifteen seconds before three women and a man collapsed on the floor, fast asleep. The medicine that salad was spiked with should last overnight.

“Sorry. But Deku-san is more important and his classmates really need to use the forest tonight.”

With that done, Kota went back to his room to draw a prison breakout celebration card for Deku-san.

There he was. Midoriya. Laying on the floor, unconscious, shielding Eri, also unconscious, with his body. Behind him was the huge blast door, crooked and bent, clearly having been pried open with his quirk.

“Deku!”

Uraraka rushed towards him, checking him up.

“Oh, thank goodness, he’s just unconscious... What even happened here?!”

“Looks like Eri’s horn is smaller...”, Todoroki hummed.

“Midoriya must have used his quirk to break out of the blast door, ribbit. Then Eri-chan healed him using hers.”

“Makes sense.”

“What have they even done to him? He looks so thin and frail! And his hair...”, Uraraka was almost scandalized.

“We don’t have time to figure that out.”, Todoroki leaned down and picked up his friend, freckled face resting on his shoulder, “We have to meet up with Monoma and Bakugo, and get ready to escape.”

“Right!”, Uraraka nodded, picking Eri up as well.

Aoyama let out a huge sigh of relief in the back of the group as he realized they won’t actually have to pass in front of cell in which Scourge of Kamino was held. Thank goodness Midoriya broke out of his cell on his own...

“Mr. Principal, please hold them back better!”, Koda pleaded, anxiously fidgeting as he watched everything through the feeds.

“I am trying my absolute hardest with pre-established rule of no permanent damage, however ever since those three managed to team up with Cementoss and Ectoplasm, we’ve been on borrowed time. Those two are too good for U.A.’s nonlethal defenses.”, Nedzu explained, casually tapping away as he sent hordes of smaller robots down the hallways of school, having run out of any larger ones that could actually fit inside.

“Just got word from the Tartarus team! They got our boy! We should be expecting evac in a few minutes, assuming timetable’s still on schedule!”, Hatsume announced, starting to fold down her comms network back into the physics-defying briefcase.

“That’s good because teachers will be in here any second now... We might not have time!”, Jiro added, her plugs listening through the wall again.

“Are we going to have to fight the teachers then...?”, Koda asked meekly.

“Hopefully not!”, Kaminari called out, starting to get antsy and pacing around principal’s office himself.

Nemuri did not expect to become the person in charge of the impromptu teacher group fighting through hordes of U.A.’s own defenses to try and reach Nedzu’s office and figure out what the hell is wrong. But with All Might, Thirteen and most other teachers off-campus, Shuuzenji, Inui and Maijima refusing to get involved and Aizawa busy with the best nap he’s had in years, it fell to the five they had on hand. Thank goodness for the cement-built structure of the school...

And there it is! In sight! Principal’s office! Nedzu has a lot to answer for. Yamada leads charge, kicking door down, and yelling, thankfully omitting his quirk for the moment.

“Nedzu, holy fuck!”

Then she sees Yamada freeze. And then something is tossed at their group, Yamada bearing the brunt of it, but ending up falling and causing all five of them to topple like bowling pins. It’s too late that she realizes what exactly has been tossed at them. Class 1-A’s Kaminari... This can only mean—

“Indiscriminate Discharge!!!”

Pain and shock course through Nemuri’s body and she can hear pained screams of her comrades. Her brain is too busy processing the electrical discharge to properly ruminate on Kaminari attacking teachers directly. But as quickly as shock started, it ends, though everyone else in her group seems to have bore the brunt of it, now unconscious. Guess those electric play sessions developed some resistance for her...

“I did it...? I did it! I knocked teachers out without frying my brain!”

“That’s great, now get back in here! Our ride’s here!”

That was Jiro. Also 1-A. This isn’t a single rogue student.

Nemuri forced her eyes to open to try and witness. And through open door of the Principal’s office she saw it.

Four students. Class 1-A’s Jiro, Kaminari and Koda, as well as the support course girl from Sports Festival... All rushing through a purple void of a portal in the back of the office. So familiar and reminiscent of the portals used by the warp villain at USJ... And Nedzu’s just sitting there, in his chair, doing nothing. Could Koda have...? No...

She allows herself to pass out. The exhaustion of fighting too many robots is adding up on top of the electrical discharge.

Maybe Aizawa’s rants about entrance exam being terrible had merit to them after all...

“Iida, it’s time for next phase.”, Ojiro interrupted him.

“H-Huh? Next phase? But I haven’t finished reviewing all illegal things HPSC has done during Hosu cover-up and didn’t even get to the controversies surrounding Yoroi Musha!”

“You’ve been talking non-stop for, like, an hour, take a chill pill, brah.”, Camie adds, looking rather tired. Having to provide dramatic visual recreations of things Iida was describing in his rant over the last hour was draining even on her quirk.

“Alright! In that case, announcement to heroes and media watching this! We shall be taking a short recess before returning with list of demands we actually have! In meantime, take this time to review evidence we provided and make your own conclusions! GBRT broadcast, out!”

And he shut the camera off.

“You did great, Iida.”, Ojiro offered a consolatory thumbs up, as Iida sighed with disappointment.

“I hope my brother wasn’t watching...”

“I’ve been checking the media between the slides, and boy is this making numbers!”, Camie grinned, showing her phone.

“Huh?”

“You’re like, number one worldwide trend right now, robot man. I’m totes jelly.”

“...I shall focus on our plan! You two should gather everyone. Our evac should be on the first floor. We can leave hostages behind safely, but the important part is that neither they nor heroes should know the recess is only a lie to allow us to disappear unsuspected.”

“On it!”

Kaminari was still busy bragging about taking down the teachers to mortified Kendo as last members of Diversion team stepped out of the portal. Monoma, floating above ground a bit and enveloped in dark mist, laughed.

“Hah! Now everyone will have to accept that we, Class B, are absolutely at least on par with Class A! If not superior, after all, without me, this plan would not have been possible at all—”

“Kendo, please don’t knock him out yet. Monoma, make a portal to Beast’s Forest. Mom team, Shiketsu team and Ketsubutsu team should be there already, and Extraction team should be finishing preparation for our getaway ride.”, Todoroki asked, holding Kendo’s hand moments before it made contact with Monoma’s neck.

Monoma simply huffed.

“It’s an extremely complex quirk, I’ll have you know. You should be glad I managed to figure it out so quickly!”

Despite his complaining, he tapped Kurogiri’s shoulder again, and a new portal formed right where portal to HPSC headquarters was a moment ago.

“Alright! Everyone, we’re almost done! Proceed through the portal in an orderly—”

Even as Iida tried to take charge of situation, the students simply decided to flood through the warp gate in absolutely unorderly fashion.

GBRT

There was a small crowd gathered in Beast’s forest. 39  U.A. first-year Hero Course students sharing their successes of the day, and one more, their inspiration and objective, unconscious and still wearing Tartarus straightjacket. 1 U.A. first-year General Education student, standing guard by a green-haired adult woman, her stare blank and mouth hanging open slightly. 1 U.A. first-year Support Course student, busy doing something on her console, having re-deployed it. 3 U.A. third-year Hero Course students, chatting casually while watching over an adult woman in Tartarus prison uniform, sat down by an uprooted tree, half-lucid. 2 Shiketsu High School students, a first-year and second-year, laughing alongside other kids. 1 Ketsubutsu High third-year student, engaging with class 1-B surprisingly well. And one 6-year old girl, taking a nap after forcefully inserting herself into this crazy rescue operation.

But this was not yet done. Two more members of the group chat were yet to reveal themselves. And one of them, right on time, was there already as a jet was landing in the middle of the large, runway-like clearing that Amajiki and Shiozaki created earlier. And out of the cockpit peers out a face familiar only to few.

“Oh, wow, that’s, uh... more people than I expected. Anti-gravity girl is still there, right? Not sure we can lift off without her.”

“Chirp!”

Pino perched on Rody’s shoulder, pecking him in the neck.

“Hey, I know she has a name, I can’t act like I know everyone here just because we’re all in it together!”

BoomBoomGirl: AWESOME!

Birdman(2): One small issue. The only jet I’ll be able to reach that’s fast enough for our plans can hold enough fuel only for one-way trip. I’ll need a refuel somewhere close by Japan before we can fly back.

Mr. 9K: That might prove problematic. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be national criminals by time you arrive in the country.

Island Survivor: Will the jet be able to handle about 500 extra kilometers of flight before running out?

Birdman(2): If I take a shortcut through China, it can handle a whole 1000

Melissa sighed, peeking out of the window to see the bots obediently rushing everyone indoors. She then looked back at the monitor, where the I-Island’s cybersecurity team was being detained in their own office by the same type of robots.

You’d think after what her dad pulled, they’d at least bother to change passwords, but, nope. They were making it way too easy and that’s so boring...

“Tomura-chan, this is fifth TV you have dusted today.”

“Shut up! How dare those hero brats... I just acquired MLA... Formed PLF... brand new faction... And they choose to make their own abbreviated villain organization! They attack Tartarus AND HPSC! Those were my plans! I was supposed to do all this! They stole it from me! Stole it!”

While the rest of the former League of Villains, and now lieutenants of PLF laughed at Tomura’s antics, one person in the room was sweating full-on cannonballs.

Hawks had no idea what to do now. He did not receive proper emergency recall from HPSC. Does that mean the president accounted for this? No, no way, no way did they want any of that with information released. But he didn’t want to take risks without recall being used...

Not to mention all the riots breaking out across whole country. And nobody stopping them, with 90% of top 100 heroes gathered around HPSC Headquarters, too busy not knowing what to do about sealed off building with all their bosses hostage inside.

Would HPSC even survive this? If they don’t, what the hell is Hawks supposed to do? Actually become a real PLF member?

He looked over at Dabi. As new TV was brought in and turned on, the scarred villain was smiling at the image of Endeavor cursing HPSC out on live television over something revealed in the broadcast earlier.

The kids have gone started a revolution. Released his tragic backstory. Stole his predecessor from prison. Maybe...

Hawks took his phone out and messaged Nedzu, asking for contact info of anyone from class 1-A.

Aftermath Phase, 02:31 JST, Sunday

Otheon Safehouse

The safehouse Rody prepared for GBRT was one of old, abandoned Humarise bases. Which was incredibly well-preserved, considering the amount of police investigations. Still, it would serve well as defensible position and hiding place. In Otheon, they haven’t committed nearly as many crimes yet, beyond one still-to-be-noticed jet hijacking, too, so they had a degree of immunity for the moment.

While it was middle of the night in Japan, in Otheon, it was only sunset. So, to try and adjust for jetlag ahead of time, most teens went to take a rest, exhausted by the great success. No sleeping allowed until 12 hours have passed since ending of Execution Phase though, just in case something still goes wrong.

Eri woke up by time they arrived in the Otheon, and was forced to apologize to Todoroki by Mirio, for sneaking in at all, and putting the plan at risk. But nobody could be mad at the little girl long enough for her to feel properly guilty, so soon she found herself exploring the hideout and introducing herself to Deku-san’s friends.

Lady Nagant, once she was awake enough and shook off prison’s tranquilizers managed to find five different kinds of alcohol in the abandoned safehouse and for ‘child safety’ consumed it all, before passing out. Questioning her would have to come later.

Midoriya Inko was successfully put to sleep by Shinsou. They decided they will tell her everything in the morning, but for now it’s best to let her rest. Being under effect of Shinsou’s quirk for so long must have been exhausting

Izuku, in meantime, refused to wake up. And that was concerning for Todoroki, who watched as Melissa and Yaoyorozu were setting up a separate patient room for him.

Todoroki approached Midoriya’s bed. His friend looked... terrible. Face was the same, familiar Midoriya babyface, freckles. His curly hair was roughed up, but more importantly... Greyish-white. Did the HPSC torture really have such a stressful effect? He’ll have to set those headquarters on fire once they return to Japan. And Midoriya’s body... Most of the muscle he couldn’t help but look at on the boy’s body was gone, Midoriya looking surprisingly frail. The bastards... Worst yet, they still didn’t even know what bogus accusation Midoriya was brought in on.

Trying to comfort himself, Todoroki ran fingers through Midoriya’s hair. He made a mental note to ask Rody to go and buy some hair dye. But as soon as he touched the boy, he stirred in his sleep.

“Mhrhm... Yoichi.... leave me ‘lone....”

Todoroki blinked. He is almost certain he heard Midoriya say that name before. Was he dreaming about something?

“Shh... It’s okay. You’re safe now. You’re surrounded by friends. It’ll be okay.”

Those words seemed to calm Midoriya, as he stopped stirring and groaning.

As Todoroki looked up, he realized both Melissa and Yaoyorozu are staring at him, starry-eyed.

“Is something wrong?”

“Nope! Nope, just, uh, we’re done setting the room.”, Melissa quickly looked away, returning to folding spare bedsheets.

“Once Mei is free, I’ll make some medical machinery to check on his vitals in more detail.”, Yaoyorozu added.

To that, Todoroki just nodded. Good. This was a success. Midoriya was rescued. Everything will be fine now.

Todoroki’s phone was buzzing, and for first time within last 8 hours, it wasn’t ringtone assigned to his dad. He took the phone out and couldn’t help but gulp down nervously as he saw just who was calling.

“Shoda, gather everyone, this is going to be important.”

Class 1-B vice-rep, the only other person who happened to be in the room, nodded and rushed to gather every teen (and Eri) in the compound. With Midoriya and his mom still asleep and Nagant still blackout drunk, they could be left to rest alone for the moment.

And even as everyone was gathered, phone was still incessantly ringing. Taking a deep breath, Todoroki picked the call up, instantly routing it to the loudspeaker.

Problem children.

Aizawa-sensei. They knew they had to deal with this at some point. Non-1-A teens didn’t seem as intimidated as they should be though. Poor souls.

“I take one good nap in five years. And you pull this. Now, shut up. I know you’re about to start explaining yourself and make excuses. I do not care to listen. I am here to do two things. Clarify the aspects of your stunt I do not know enough about, and inform you of future developments.

“But there is one, exactly one thing I genuinely cannot even begin to understand. Why the hell is Midoriya sitting in my homeroom class, alone, bawling his eyes out about how all of his friends started a revolution together and did not invite him?”

Everyone looked around, staring at one another, as if trying to find somebody in the room who knows answers. With nobody saying anything, Todoroki finally decides to break the silence.

“Sensei... Are you sure it’s not Toga? We have Midoriya with us, we—”

“I checked. Multiple times. Because I refused to believe he was not involved in this. I still don’t. It’s him. Which raises the question of who the hell do you have with you that you believe to be Midoriya.”

Todoroki lowered the phone down, processing what just has been said. Then he spots it, out of corner of his eye, a movement. He turns around and sees him. The not-Midoriya, trying to sneak by the gathering of 50 people. His eyes wide open and, now that everyone was staring at him, trembling. Bright-red eyes.

Monseiur...?”, Aoyama mumbled, audible only to a few people.

“That’s not Deku.”, Bakugo growled, standing up, his palms already heating up.

The rest of students gathered around Todoroki also start getting into combat-ready positions, like a den of wolves disturbed at bad hour.

“I-I surrender!!!”, the not-Midoriya yells, trying to shield himself with his hands.

“GET HIM!”, yelled Uraraka as the group rushed towards the imposter.

His pleading does not stop him from being dogpiled by the entirety of GBRT.

Somewhere in the commotion, a very tired sigh of Aizawa-sensei could be heard from Todoroki’s phone.
