Even though Damage Control had been taken care of, Peter wasn’t naive enough to think there weren’t other people and agencies out there who would want Jean locked up, experimented on, or simply killed.

No. John mumbles stubbornly, coiling tighter. Mine.
Warmth blossoms in Arthur's chest as he sighs and smiles, letting John play with his fingers and kissing the writhing mass of tendrils secured to his hand. "All yours."
