“Sold! To the gentleman in the back!” The gavel lands with a bang.
Geralt tenses. He hasn't been able to keep track of the buyers with the blindfold, who's been placing bids with so many perfumed bodies in the room. Borsodi’s Auction House is troublesome as always.
The steps that approach are heavy, measured, but uneven. Familiar?
Doesn't matter. Geralt knows the hand that grips his chin, tilting his head up to inspect the goods.
“Well, well,” Dijkstra says, thick fingers squeezing Geralt’s cheeks. “What to do with my newest acquisition?”
Geralt swallows heavily.
“I see you have some ideas.”
