Chapter Text
It was one of those days. Akechi just got off work, having enough energy to go ride the train back to the area where he lives in, feeling mostly exhausted. Stepping inside, he makes room for himself from the crowded space full of business men and women, they must have also finished their own jobs around the same time as him.
Well, that is just 'fine.' He will shut his eyes for a bit and ignore his current surroundings, maybe even get some sort of rest after today.
...Except when he tries to close his eyes, not a moment passed that someone's elbow would hit the side of his arm.
Running out of patience and not very willing to keep up with the friendly face he has on in public for much longer, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Suppressing an annoyed groan, he pulls it out and looks at it expecting an unpleasant message from a certain bastard when he's not in the mood to talk to him or to do another job.
But it wasn't Pitbull-looking ass, Shito.
Instead, it was Ren Amamiya who texted him. A bit unusual when Akechi was the one who usually initiated their conversation. He turned his head over his shoulder looking around, no adult paid him any mind.
Opening the text app, he sees what Ren sent him.
Ren: > Akechi, are you busy during next week?
As he stands there reading the message, processing it. He eventually comes up with something to say.
Akechi: > Perhaps.
(It depends on what you are going to say next.) He thought.
Ren: > Want to go to the movie theater with me?
Ren: > There is something I want to watch that came out recently and I figured that maybe you would like it too.
Mouthing the last sentences silently to himself, his mind flips through like a book to try to remember what movie recently came out.
Ah, he must be talking about Oppenheimer.
It's not exactly the type of movie Akechi thought Ren would be interested in, but he could spare some time to watch it with him. Yeah, why not?
Akechi: > Sure. Tell me which theater we will go to.
A week later.
When he arrived, he saw a familiar bed hair style in front of the ticket stand. But what he didn't account for was that Ren dressed up in a black turtleneck top with pink and white cardigan jacket, including a black skirt with mary jane shoes.
This is new. Sort of.
The boy with the unkempt hair turned around and saw Akechi, then started to wave over to him.
He walked up to him and that is when Akechi began to notice that there is a logo on the cardigan jacket that says 'Barbie.'
