“She’s living in the chairman’s former office, that’s, like, peak spacian bullshit,” Chuchu snarked as Nika rolled her eyes,
“She’s not part of any house, where else would she live?” the omega reasoned,
“In the dorms like a normal person, duh. Also she’s basically a member of Earth House by now, she could move in with us,”
“You were just calling her a spoiled spacian and now you’re saying she’s part of Earth House,”
The alpha looked away to save face as she stumbled for a rebuttal that didn’t give away how Miorine had grown on her “I mean—you try getting rid of her without Suletta giving you those kicked puppy eyes! It’s easier to just let her boss us around and eat our food than deal with Suletta’s whining,”
“Uh-huh,” Nika rolled her eyes and adjusted the box in her hands. Doctor Winston had managed to dig up some old hard drives from the Vanadis Institute and Miorine wanted to look at them. Their boss wasn’t answering her phone, though, so Nika and Chuchu decided to just drop them off at her room. Chuchu had forced Nika to listen to her griping the entire walk to the chairman’s office. Nika sighed in relief as Miorine’s door came into view, but she stopped suddenly as she heard a noise.
Chuchu paused, “Was that—“
Again—louder and unmistakable—was the sound of their boss, Miorine Rembran, moaning.
“…we should come back later then,” Nika said as the alpha next to her sighed in annoyance.
“I don’t wanna make this trip again, it’s annoying to come all the way over here. Lets just leave the boxes in front of her door,”
“Then anyone can come by and steal them! Lets just make Nuno and Ojelo do it,” Nika’s cheeks were starting to flush as more sounds of Miorine getting railed leaked through the door,
“Or…” Chuchu smirked, “We could interrupt the two love birds. It’s what they get for fucking when they should be working, Suletta I’d expect this from, but our dear boss should know better,”
“Chuchu…”
The alpha began approaching their door again when suddenly Miorine called out to her partner in crime,
“Please! Daddy~ ”
Chuchu stopped in her tracks as Nika’s face flushed an impossible shade of red. The alpha turned tail and began walking back the way they came grabbing Nika’s elbow and towing the omega behind her. As they go farther away Nika broke the silence between the two,
“What’s with that look on your face,”
“Nika… do you honestly think that anyone would call Suletta ‘forgetta’ Mercury, ‘Daddy’?”
“I mean…” the omega stumbled for a response because the alternative would mean, “you don’t think Miorine would actually cheat on Suletta, right?”
“She’s the president’s daughter she already thinks she can do whatever she wants, of course she thinks she can yank Suletta around like this,” Chuchu growled, “We have to tell the others,”
“Nika’s right,” Nuno said after hearing them out,
“Ha!”
“You can’t actually prove anything with what you heard, you should look into it more, find something more concrete,” He continued,
“Wait,” Nika stopped him, “You don’t actually think Miorine would do something like that, right?”
Nuno shrugged and Ojelo took over, “Well Chuchu’s right that Miorine would never call Suletta ‘Daddy,’ but it does seem a bit out of character for her to bang someone else,”
“Do you think it’s Mr. Guel?” Lilique piped up,
“Hmm… I was thinking Shaddiq maybe,” Nuno said,
“I bet it’s Mr. Elan, which is the real reason why Miorine didn’t want Suletta to go on a date with him!”
“Lilique, Elan’s a beta,” Ojelo pointed out,
“Between Suletta and Elan though, the ice princess calling him ‘Daddy’ is a bit more believable,” Chuchu said,
“So what now?” Nika interrupted their bickering, “How do we prove one way or another if Miorine is cheating on Suletta?”
The five of them went silent as they thought for a moment. Ojelo wasn’t actually thinking, but he looked like he was thinking which was more important.
Lilique was the one to break the silence this time, “If Miorine is hooking up with someone in her room, maybe they left some sort of indication that they were there?”
“Right,” Nuno jumped in, “like maybe some clothes or maybe they scented something,”
“When are we supposed to root around the ice princess’ room?” Chuchu asked, “She’s in class the same time we are,”
Nika was hesitant to fuel this fire, as the only other omega in earth house, she trusted Miorine, but Nika was curious too.
“She has a meeting with a few investors after class tomorrow, right?” Nika looked to Lilique who nodded, “She usually takes those in her greenhouse which leaves us a window to search her room,”
“Great, so you’re coming with me,” Chuchu didn’t phrase it like a question,
“What? Why me? I don’t want to snoop around Miorine’s room,”
“No, but Chuchu’s right that you should be the one to go with her,” Ojelo stated as Nuno and Liluque nodded in agreement, “We’re all betas, we’d have a harder time picking out an alpha’s scent,”
Nika’s shoulders drooped in defeat, she sent a silent apology Miorine’s way, but she did understand why the other Earth House members were insisting they investigate. Suletta was one of them and they weren’t going to sit by and let her get hurt. Just the thought of how Suletta would take it if she found out made Nika’s heart sink. This was for Suletta.
“So…” Ojelo spoke up, “we’re making a betting pool based on who Miorine’s hooking up with right?”
