Hey there, Little Red Riding Hood

You sure are lookin' good

You're everything a big, bad wolf could want.

A chilling wind howled through the gaps in the trees, biting through the red cloak that Kaoru tugged more tightly around his frame. He cursed his mother, for making him run this silly errand. Him! A full grown man off to check on the rotting grandfather that had nearly disowned him when as a teen Kaoru put a silver hoop through his lip and refused to cut his hair to a more ‘masculine’ length, whatever the hell that was.

The same long hair that was braided and resting over his shoulder under his red hood, rebelliously long despite everything his grandfather had snarled and spit at Kaoru through the years. A few candy floss strands slipped from the slick braid to tickle his chin as he trudged along the winding dirt path, watching the sun dance through the leaves, leaving a mottled pattern upon the forest floor. Soon enough, the sun would set and Kaoru would be plunged into darkness.

A lantern clunked around in the picnic basket over his arm, his mother had warned him of two things:

One: You mustn't stray from the path, for the things that lurk in the woods and creep around the shadows are ravenous.

That was fine, Kaoru wasn’t a fool. He’d made this journey throughout his life, always sticking diligently to the path and refusing to stray. He’d seen the glimmer of eyes in the dark before and he wasn’t eager to deliver himself into their hungry maws.

Two: Once the sun goes down, light your lantern. Do not delay, for the light will keep the creatures at bay.

As a child, the little rhyme his mother told him while she secured the brass fastening of his cloak around his throat would cause him to giggle with her and he would repeat it to himself when he heard low growls amongst the twigs snapping outside the lantern light, his little giggles having long tapered out.

The wind whipped around him again and he huffed, resolving to tell his mother to pay someone else to make the trip to see the nasty old man next time. It was over half a day’s journey and the payoff was simply dropping some food off to the man, listening to him complain about Kaoru’s appearance for an hour while gorging himself on the treats his diligent grandson delivered (without giving any thanks, by the way!) before sending Kaoru on his way in the dark so that the poor man didn’t return home until the early hours of the morning, before the sun itself had even thought to begin its rise.

“Asshole.” Kaoru grumbled to himself, carefully stepping around a protruding root. The scenery, while familiar, was starting to become eerie, cast in long shadows as the sun set behind him. Kaoru hurried along, knowing that just ahead there was a small stump he could place his basket on in order to light his lantern and continue on.

The sun dipped lower and lower as Kaoru approached the stump, pulling out the lantern and fiddling with the matches to light it. The wick sparked to life and Kaoru closed the little window, noting that the fluid was low. He’d have to hurry to get out of the woods before the flame died out.

He doesn’t know what lurks in the dark and he wasn’t eager to find out.

So he picked up the pace, rushing through the woods with little regard to the noise he made or the twigs and branches that got tangled up in his flowing cloak and snapped off loudly, giving off his exact location to anything hungry.

He was desperate, horrified at himself for forgetting to refill the lantern after his last trip, he must have been so tired when he returned that he put it off to the side and it vanished from thought. His mother too, she was ill before he departed earlier in the morning, a cold gripping her chest that caused violent coughs to explode from her petite frame– she hadn’t thought to check it either.

Kaoru felt his cheeks warm, his breath coming in sharp gasps as the flame on his lantern flickered dangerously. If he could just get a little farther, a little closer the trees would break and the light of the full moon might guide him safely the rest of the way.

Then the flame sputtered and extinguished, pitching Kaoru into darkness. Without his sight, everything else seemed to be magnified, the sound of the wind, of his own heart hammering against his ribs and his gasping breaths.

The forest had come alive as well, other creatures curiously circling and drawing closer, their chittering and panting causing Kaoru to stumble backwards- despite most likely being surrounded. He stumbled over another root, catching himself on a tree before he attempted to orient himself and rush off in the direction of the moonlight. He could see the faintest shine of it, the promise of sight just before him when something large caught him around the waist and pulled him back against a large frame.

“Let go!” Kaoru kicked out, limbs flailing as the creature that had apprehended him held him as easily as if he were a doll. His slaps and kicks were about as effective as if he were beating them against a stone wall.

“You know–” The voice behind him drawled out, rough and deep and satisfied. It made something curl in Kaoru’s gut. “I’ve been wondering when your little lantern was going to go out. It was like a game.”

“A game?” Kaoru repeated, still writhing helplessly in the iron grip. “This is a game to you? Are you going to eat me?”

“Eat you?” The creature laughed, the sound a deep rumble that Kaoru felt through his entire frame. “I don’t want to eat you, Little Red. I want to devour you.”

“There’s no difference!” Kaoru squirmed and thrashed around, managing to bring a palm up to the creature’s face in a harsh flap. It felt… almost human. Curiously, he brought his hand back, blindly tracing the strong jaw and the high cheekbones, jolting when his fingers brushed against soft lips.

“Isn’t there?” Those lips parted under Kaoru’s touch, the only indication that they belonged to something nonhuman was the pointed canine that had Kaoru jerking back, renewing his struggle. A shrill noise escaped him as the creature bent, bending its frame over Kaoru and licking a strip up his neck, nibbling gently on his jawline. “Won’t you let me taste?”

“What if–” Kaoru swallowed and the creature groaned against his bobbing throat, “What if I say no?”

“Will you?”

It was at that moment Kaoru realized he’d stopped struggling, his body pliant in the creature’s hold. A pair of eyes shined at him in the dark, wine deep with blown out pupils. Kaoru reached out, grabbed fistfuls of thick hair and… was that a dog ear? No. It was a wolf’s.

“Werewolves don’t exist.” Kaoru squeezed the ear in his hand, causing the werewolf to groan and rut himself against Kaoru’s thigh like an ill-behaved lapdog.

“Are you telling me or trying to convince yourself?” Those eyes flashed again, his grip around Kaoru’s waist loosening enough that large hands could slide among his hips, dip under the fabric of his tunic to graze claws over Kaoru’s shuttering ribs. “Because I think you might be wrong.”

“Don’t tell me I’m wrong!” Kaoru snapped, words fizzling into a whimper as a clawed thumb flicked over his nipple.

“I knew you were interesting. I could smell it on you.” The tip of his claw toyed with the barbell through Kaoru’s nipple, causing him to writhe, his cock filling out despite his brain’s desperate attempts to rationalize the situation. He shouldn’t be getting hard from a werewolf! This thing was probably just toying with him because it was actually going to eat him later. But the drag of claws, hands large enough to encircle his waist, a hard, muscled body, body hair that felt like a lot… but not enough to be disgusting… and the soft thwump, thwump that Kaoru quickly determined was a wagging tail .

“You’re a beast.” Kaoru hissed, scrabbling to find the werewolf’s face, dragging his nails over a hairy chest and broad shoulders to glare up as best he could. His eyes had adjusted to the dark, somewhat, he could make out the height of the creature and see his outline, but any defining features would have to be left to the imagination.

“You’re the one who's hard .” Large hands gripped Kaoru’s ass and ground him down against a bare thigh, and without a second thought Kaoru jerked his knee up into the werewolf’s, ahem - package.

A snarl ripped through the wolf as he doubled over, dropping Kaoru who landed on his ass with a soft thump in a patch of springy moss. Quick as a flash, the wolf was on him, breath hot as he pinned Kaoru to the ground. “So are you.” Kaoru breathed back, arching up into the large cock that was poking him in the hip, feeling himself dig a deeper and deeper hole out here in the secluded dark woods with an angry beast pinning him down.

Yet, instead of fear, he felt exhilarated.

“You are a brave little Bunny.” The wolf huffed out, something wet hit Kaoru’s clavicle and he realized that the wolf was drooling, slobbering over him like a dog with a steak. “It intrigues me.”

Before Kaoru could get a word in edgewise, he was flipped over to his stomach, his cloak wrenched aside as his pants were yanked down. “Waitwaitwait!” He tried to get up on his hands and knees, but was pushed face first into the moss with a soft mrumpf ! He felt that cock, he knew how big it was and there was no way it was going to fit. He wasn’t prepared! He scrabbled against the moss, pinned down in place as he heard the creature shuffling behind him. He tensed, bracing himself for ripping, tearing pain when he was suddenly jolted forward by something warm and wet against his hole.

The wolf lapped at him greedily, following through on his threat to devour Kaoru. At some point, Kaoru no longer had to be held down, melted into the moss, whimpering as two large hands grabbed his cheeks and spread them before the creature dove in deeper, his tongue twisting and rolling, saliva and pre dripping down Kaoru’s thighs as he trembled under the werewolf’s touch.

If he were a religious man, he’d already have resigned himself to hell. Instead, he garbled out indecipherable words and phrases, allowing a creature to eat him out in the middle of the woods as if it were normal- but Kaoru didn’t think he’d ever be able to go back to normal. A particularly hard jab with that monster’s tongue and Kaoru shouted, coming undone and splattering his release all over the moss underneath him.

He took a few shuddering breaths, the fog of orgasm fading when he felt the werewolf mount him, the large head of his cock poking at Kaoru’s hole.

“Wait! It’s too big!” Kaoru tried to crawl away, but felt that his limbs had turned to jelly. The wolf didn’t seem to care, his breath hot on Kaoru’s nape,

“Gonna knot you. Gonna breed you.” He was growling, pinning Kaoru in place before he thrust into him. Stars exploded behind Kaoru’s eyes, he’d never taken anything this large before. It felt like it was in his stomach, poking at his lungs and making it hard to breathe.

“Y-you can’t. I can’t g-get ahhhh p-pregnant.” Kaoru gasped out, drool slipping out the corners of his mouth as his eyes rolled back.

The wolf snarled, clearly displeased with Kaoru’s protests and he swallowed any of his further complaints. Those sharp canines were too close to his throat to risk making the creature upset. Between being disoriented in the dark and bred within an inch of his life, Kaoru felt like he was floating, tearing up patches of dirt and moss with his fingertips to feel grounded to something while the wolf thrust into him relentlessly, the pain of the stretch quickly turning to pleasure as he reached places inside of Kaoru that no one had ever hit before. He whimpered, alternating between trying to get away and trying to push back for more, his breaths coming in short, shallow wheezes each time the wolf fully sheathed himself inside.

Pleasure started coiling tightly in his belly, some far off part of his brain wondered how he would explain this. How he would make excuses for the bites and the scratches adorning him, the neat braid he’d been so eager to flaunt before the old man now falling in wild waves around his face, stuck with leaves and twigs as he was pounded into the ground.  That is, if he ever made it to his grandfather’s house. He might end up dying right here, stuffed full of werewolf cum and then torn apart by teeth and claws, his flesh and blood swallowed down as if he were nothing more than prey. He supposed that he was, he’d made a small but fatal mistake and now his life was in the claws of a creature rutting viciously into him, causing tight bands of pleasure to mix with the fear sparking up his spine. He hiccuped a sob and jolted in surprise when the wolf dipped down to lick the tear track off his cheek, lips lingering for a moment, almost tender before he lifted himself and resumed his brutal thrusts. Kaoru howled as he came, head bowing as sharp teeth sank into his shoulder, the warm gush of blood dripping down his chest to mix with the other fluids on the soiled patch of moss.

Something large started swelling at the base of the wolf’s cock and Kaoru wailed even louder, feeling the knot lock them together. His limbs went weak, pliant as the wolf maneuvered them to their sides, his large frame curled protectively around Kaoru as the wolf made happy noises. Pleasure and pain mixed together flowing through him, adrenaline rush faded and then Kaoru couldn’t stay awake any longer.

Kaoru awoke in the woods.

Alone in the woods, fully dressed and curled up safely on a nice patch of moss. Birds sang around him and next to him were his basket and his lantern, unharmed.

His first thought was that perhaps it had all been a dream, a strange dream brought on by hitting his head, but as he shifted and a sharp pain lanced up his back and throbbed from his shoulder, he realized that he had in fact been mated by a werewolf.

He wasn’t as mad about it as he should be.

His wolf had kept worse things at bay and despite the soreness, he did feel oddly refreshed.

But… he was off the path, which meant that he was lost. With a tired groan he stood on shaky, wobbly, fawn legs before attempting to gather his belongings.

“Oh, hey!”

He jolted, heart beating rapidly as he spun, taking in the sight of the man calling out to him. Dark green waves were tamed by a grey beanie, a red flannel shirt was fighting for its life over a broad chest, an ax swung up onto study shoulders as large work boots carried the man to Kaoru’s location in no time at all. Discarded suspenders fluttered around the man’s waist as he trotted over, his smile bright despite the scruff that covered the lower half of his face.

“I’ve been waiting for you to wake up, I didn’t wanna scare ya!” He gestured to a beaten down patch of grass a small ways away where wood chips littered the area and a small carving of an animal sat upon a flat rock.

“So you thought yelling at me would be better?” Kaoru hissed, nose scrunching in displeasure. The man’s wine-colored eyes crinkled around the corners as he chuckled, shrugging helplessly.

“It’s not often I run into anyone else out here, much less someone sleeping- so I figured I’d wait for you to wake up to offer any help. My cottage is close by, if you need to uh- get cleaned up.”

Kaoru flushed, knowing he looked like a mess. “I don’t make a habit of going into stranger’s homes.”

“Kojiro.”

“Kaoru.”

Silence fell between them before Kaoru sniffed haughtily, handing his basket and lantern to Kojiro. After all, carrying his items was the least that he could do after what he put Kaoru through the night before.

“Lead the way.”

Kojiro grinned widely and offered his forearm to Kaoru, while exposing a too-sharp canine. With a hand on a strong, familiar forearm, Kaoru cast a single look back at the carved wolf that watched them go.

What big eyes you have

The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad

So just to see that you don't get chased

I think I ought to walk with you for a ways.

Notes:

happy halloween!

ps. incase it wasn't explicitly clear, kaoru is well aware of who kojiro is and still went with him. now everyone go find yourself a hot lumberjack/werewolf bf like kaoru did.
