Vin and Zack were arguing again. It wasn't uncommon for them to be at each other's throats. After all they were known as the top dogs that would always provoke each other on who was stronger and who would win in a fight, yet they never got into a physical fight. If Vin was about to grab Zack, he would stop mid way and go back to assaulting verbally. Same with Zack. He would stop his punch mid way to continue insulting Vin with a lot of cussing.
They were on their usual provoking game and Zack was in the middle of insulting Vin's cockiness when Vin suddenly crouched down to tie Zack's shoe. There was silence in the hall as Zack found this sudden kind gesture odd. Once Vin was done tying Zack's shoes he walked away without saying anything. Zack was now left in the hall with the rest of the people that were in there.
"I know how to tie my shoes on my own, fucking asshole. Who the fuck he thinks he is?" Zack said as he continued his day like this interaction never happened.
It happened again. Zack wasn't paying any attention in the P.E class and his shoes were untied. Vin was on his way to get back to class and noticed Zack running with his shoes untied. Vin jogged towards Zack and told him his shoes were untied. Zack stopped jogging with others and was about to crouch down himself to tie his shoe but Vin was faster to tie Zack's shoes.
"I need to get back to class, fuck you" Vin said as he was done tying Zack's shoes and flipped Zack off. Zack found this very confusing but didn't question it any further.
Later that day Vin and Zack got into an argument and this time Zack noticed that Vin's shoe had come untied. Zack was in the middle of his sentence to insult Vin that he isn't that strong but he cut his own sentence to tie Vin's shoe because it was bothering him. Once Zack was done tying Vin's shoe he got up and doubled the insults and Vin started to laugh and walked away. Zack was still very confused by Vin's behavior and didn't understand what the fucker wanted from him.
For the next few weeks when Zack noticed his shoes were untied he wasn't bothered to tie them. Resulting to Vin tying them for him. Same with Vin. They would walk throughout the day with one of their shoes untied until they saw each other and started arguing with each other. Then the other would tie each other's untied shoes.
It was odd but it was their own little thing.
Until one day without thinking Zack went to look for Vin because Zack's shoe was untied. Zack could tie it himself but this habit of theirs had impacted into their way of thinking that when the shoe came untied the other would tie it again. Once Zack walked to the dance and vocal department. Zack scanned through the class trying to find Vin's stupid smiling cute punchable face. The others in the class looked at Zack terrified that a fight was about to break out in their class.
Vin noticed Zack standing on the doorway and then his eyes traveled down on the untied shoe. Vin got up from his seat and walked up to Zack. Vin crouched down and tied Zack's shoe. The class was quiet as they observed this interaction. They didn't exchange any words. People in the class found this really fucking odd. Once Vin was done, they didn't say anything to each other and Zack was off. Once Vin returned to his seat Mary wrapped his arm around Vin.
"So are you his-", Mary was cut off by Zack stepping inside the class again. This time his other shoe had come undone.
"LEAVE! I NEED TO TALK TO HIM!" Mary commanded Zack but Zack didn't move and Vin tried to slither away from Mary's hold but Mary was now holding Vin in a submission. Then Zack walked up to Vin and tied Vin's untied shoe and walked away. Everyone in that class looked at Vin all confused.
"Are you two dating?" Mary asked but Vin wasn't able to answer because he passed out because of Mary holding him in a submission too long.
Zack walked the rest of the day with one of his shoes untied.
A week passed after that and they never brought it up.
Until one day when Vin was tying Zack's shoes and tied them together.
"Now I can't fucking walk, you fucking asshole", Zack said and Vin smiled.
"We need to talk", Vin said and Zack was about to hop away when Vin held Zack in place with his hands on Zack's waist.
"The whole school thinks we are dating"
"And who started it? The fuck do you want me to do?" Zack shot back as he tried to wiggle away from Vin.
"I was thinking, what if we dated for real", Vin said and Zack stopped wiggling. Zack looked at Vin's face and noticed the hint of blush on Vin’s cheek. Zack realized that Vin was serious.
"Tie my shoes properly first", Zack demanded and Vin let go of Zack's waist. Zack stayed in place. Vin then crouched down and untied and then tied the shoes properly. Once Vin got up he was surprised by Zack jumping in Vin's arms with his legs wrapped around Vin's waist and the hands around the neck.
"Sure. Don't you think this is kind of funny?"
"Yeah, who knew my sudden irritation of how you tie your shoes and the opportunity of your shoe becoming untied would lead to this", Vin said and Zack looked at Vin a little confused.
"You tie your shoes in a bunny style meanwhile I tie mine in-"
"Enough nerd talk, let me sleep", Zack interrupted Vin and started to try to nap in Vin's arms.
