Work Text:
It had been two days since the battle and Lucifer found himself feeling somewhat lost with what to do.
He had not gone back to his palace, choosing instead to reside at Charlie's hotel, supporting his daughter.
Ever since Lilith had left he had barely seen Charlie and he desperately wanted to make up for lost time. He knew it was his own fault of course, he’d stopped interacting with pretty much everyone when Lilith had up and vanished, but that didn’t excuse it. He was Charlie's dad, and he should've been there for her.
However, Charlie was not his little girl anymore. She was independent and strong willed, which was great! Except it did leave Lucifer a little uncertain on how, exactly, to support his daughter.
She had created this hotel, recruited sinners for it and even built an army without his help. He wasn’t exactly needed once he had helped rebuild the hotel after it was demolished, but still Charlie seemed pleased he had stuck around and that’s what mattered.
They’d only managed to recruit 2 more sinners since the battle, two women named Tiffany and Jennifer who were together. Whilst Lucifer was somewhat unimpressed with all the residents - save from Vaggie, who had earned Lucifer's respect whilst protecting Charlie. But, he knew they were important to Charlie and so he was friendly. Over time he even found himself thinking that they weren’t all that bad, ironically enough.
He was friendlier with the more long-term residents than he was with the newer ones or those that would come and go. He could admit that Angel was funny, if not a bit too friendly and that Husk could make a damn good drink. Nifty was a little odd, but had seemingly lost the unnerving interest she had in Lucifer after deciding he wasn’t a ‘bad enough bad boy’. Lucifer wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not. Alastor, however, always managed to get on his nerves.
With his smug smile, his closeness to Charlie and how he very obviously liked to rub it in, his stupid suit and stuck up attitude as if he was anything in comparison to Lucifer, King of Hell! Except, as embarrassing as it was to admit, Alastor was something, and that was part of the problem. He was incredibly strong for a sinner and was well known across hell even after his seven year disappearance.
Meanwhile Lucifer was more of a figurehead, known only in name after decades of barely being involved in his own kingdom. He mostly left the management of hell to the sins, who in turn handed a lot of it off to the Overlords.
Regardless, Charlie wanted everyone to get along and Lucifer wanted whatever Charlie wanted and so he tried to play nice, even though it mostly meant leaving the room as soon as Alastor entered.
He mostly found himself spending time in the greenhouse that he’d created, tending to the variety of plants that only existed because Lucifer willed them to. It was quite nice in all honesty, as serene as any place in hell could be and it gave him something to do. Plus, it meant free food which was a definite bonus.
On this particular day, Lucifer had woken up and found himself somewhat uncomfortable with his usual attire. His appearance was softer and he knew that under his duck patterned pajamas his body would be less masculine than usual.
As an Angel who existed before the concept of sex of gender, his appearance and identity sat more on a spectrum. Occasionally, where it sat on that spectrum shifted.
So whilst it was normal for him to ‘switch it up’ so to speak, it wasn’t something known outside of his family and close friends (not that he had many of those) and so he found himself somewhat anxious over the other residents' reactions. After all, as far as he was aware, mortals didn’t exactly change genders overnight so who knew what they’d think.
Slapping his cheeks, he mentally pulled himself together, reminding himself that he was The King of Hell and nobody had any right to judge him. Except for himself.
With a click of his fingers and a puff of magic, his nightwear replaced itself with a dress somewhat reminiscent of his usual outfit. His hat and cane stayed the same as did his black heeled boots - he enjoyed the couple extra inches of height they gave him. Unfortunately, his control over appearance was limited to changing what he already had, so he was unable to make himself taller from nothing. He scowled, thinking about how he was the shortest of his angelic siblings, before shaking his head not wanting to think about anything to do with heaven.
Looking at himself in the mirror he sighed. He looked good- pretty, as Lilith used to say, but he still felt somewhat anxious over leaving his room.
Trying to ignore his anxiety, he made his way downstairs to where he knew the other residents were most likely to be. He distracted himself by thinking up ideas for new creations, including ones for the hotel. Since the renovations, instead of the foyer being where everyone grouped - due to Husk’s previously poorly decorated bar - there was a new room just for the purpose of gathering.
The new room hosted Husks bar, which was now more reminiscent of that which you’d have found in an upscale club rather than a dingy tavern. He’d chosen several couches, each with a different level of firmness, multiple varying armchairs, a loveseat (mostly for Charlie and Vaggie), a chaise longue (which was chosen with Angel in mind) and an indestructible bean bag which Nifty adored.
In the center of the room there was a large dining table set as well as two smaller tables pressed up against the wall for anyone who felt like eating alone or as a pair.
What can he say, Lucifer had a passion for interior design, and he hadn't even added any duck decor! He knew that not everyone shared his tastes, thank you very much, and so far he hadn’t even had any complaints! Although, Alastor had made some snide comments, but since it was Alastor they didn’t count.
He made his way into the, ironically named, living room and felt himself relax when he noticed only Angel and Husk were present. Both looked up as he walked in, and he noticed both their eyes widened at his attire.
“Looking good, Mini Majesty,” Drawled Angel with a flirty smile, Lucifer ignored the way his cheeks flushed at the nickname.
Lucifer stroked the pleats of the dress and cleared his throat, “Thank you, Angel. Although I do recall that I asked you all to call me by my name.”
He made his way over to the bar and asked Husk to make him some tea. The new bar not only had alcohol, but plenty of soft drinks and was fitted with a coffee machine and a kettle as well.
“So, what's the special occasion?” Asked Angel, with a grin.
“Ah, nothing, just, you know… Felt like switching things up.” Lucifer laughed awkwardly. He wished he was half as confident as he was powerful, but alas, years of isolation had worn away at what little social skills he had possessed.
“Huh, well like I said it looks good, just never thought the king of hell would be into crossdressing.”
At that, Lucifer couldn’t ignore the burning in his cheeks and embarrassment curdling in his gut. Something about the term ‘crossdressing’ was uncomfortable, and just didn’t feel right for him.
“Angel,” Warned Husk but Lucifer just waved a hand.
“Ha, well I mean it’s not really crossdressing if you existed before gender or sex did so… Plus! I wore dresses near constantly whilst carrying Charlie. It’s not my fault you mortals have such weird ideas about gender and such.”
“Wait, what?” Asked Angel, in a deadpan tone.
“Well,” rambled Lucifer, “Mortal men across the earth historically used to wear clothing that by modern standards would be deemed as ‘women's clothing’, I mean nobody was making trousers until like 10BCE and-”
“No no no,” Angel cut him off with a wave of hands, “You said you carried Charlie, as in: you were pregnant with her?”
“Well yeah obviously,” responded Lucifer. At Angel and Husk’s blank faces he tilted his head, “you can’t tell me people thought that Lilith, The Lilith: created equal to Adam and known for refusing to lay beneath a man, was the one who carried Charlie?”
Husk and Angel looked baffled.
“Wait so Lilith has a-”
“I think,” Husk cut Angel off with a shove, “our uh, weird mortal ideas about gender led to some assumptions being made. Men don’t typically get pregnant on earth.”
Lucifer paused, he did know that in theory, but still it was weird. “Well, I suppose I’m not exactly a man. I mean, I did exist before the idea of ‘man’ and ‘woman’ were even thought of, let alone created.” He laughed, “Does that make things a little less confusing?”
“No.” Deadpanned Angel and Husk at the same time.
“Huh,” Pondered Lucifer. Mortals really were so strange.
He sipped his tea and debated what to do for the day, mostly tuning out the other two’s presence. It was only when the door opened and Alastor stepped inside the room did Lucifer feel somewhat on edge again.
If anyone was going to make some snide remark about his attire it would be Alastor.
“Good morning,” Said Alastor. Nobody bothered to respond, but he didn’t seem put off by it.
Alastor made his way towards the bar and Lucifer could tell the exact moment he noticed him. Not only could he just feel the demon's eyes on him, but there was a brief sound like a radio glitching.
Lucifer dreaded to hear whatever would come out of that annoying mouth, but Angel chirped up before anything could be said, breaking the tense atmosphere.
“So, I’m guessing you’ve got some good baby photos of Charlie?”
At the mention of it, Lucifer instantly perked up, self consciousness forgotten.
“Oh, of course!” With a puff of magic, a photo album appeared, and landed on the bar with a soft thump.
He opened it up on the first page, an excited smile turning somewhat sad at a picture of himself, heavily pregnant, with Lilith. They both looked happy. They had been happy back then. At least he thought they were.
He stared at it a moment more before clearing his throat and turning to the next page, not taking notice of how the three others had stared at the photo as well.
The next page had a photo of a large golden egg on a red cushion. Lucifer cooed at the photo, smiling.
Is that an egg?” Asked Angel, who’d moved his stool closer to Lucifer in order to look at the album.
“Yes,” Smiled Lucifer, “This was Charlie’s egg not that long after being laid. She had the most gorgeous shell I ever saw, and I’m not just saying that because I’m her father,” he laughed.
Angel pinched the bridge of his nose, another hand out in a stop motion. “Am I high? You’re telling me that not only were you the one who was pregnant, but you were pregnant with an egg?” Angel looked at him incredulously, “You laid an egg, and Charlie hatched from that egg?”
Lucifer blinked, not really understanding Angels bemusement or shock.
“I mean, I’m an angel- or was an angel.”
“Right, yeah I keep forgetting,” Sighed Angel, “Still, egg laying? Freaky.”
Lucifer frowned and brought the photo album closer to him.
“Well, uh, gotta admit it’s a nice looking egg,” Said Husk, somewhat awkwardly, but it makes Lucifer smile anyway.
“She was the cutest little egg,” Lucifer flicked to the next page which had 3 different photos in. One was a smiling Lucifer and Lilith with the egg, one was the egg with just Lucifer, who had tears in his eyes and the other was the egg with just Lilith who was smiling at the camera.
He flipped to the next page and laughed. There were two photos, one where there's a crack along the bottom and one where two legs were sticking out the bottom. The following page had a photo of the egg running towards a wall and the next photo was a baby charlie sat on the floor next to the wall with a little eggshell cap and surrounded by the rest of the shell, presumably having broken after she ran into the wall.
“Aww,” Cooed Angel, “She was so cute!”
“She was!” Laughed Lucifer, “Although she was a terror in the beginning.”
Angel and Lucifer cooed and laughed over the different photos, and although Husk and Alastor didn’t have much to say they both seemed relatively interested.
“It does seem odd how close you were, and yet Charlie said she hadn’t seen you for quite some time before she called.” Said Alastor, stirring his tea.
Lucifer froze, looking away from the photo of a teenage Charlie. He closed the photo album abruptly and glared at the other man. “That’s not really any of your business.” He snapped, the photo album disappearing with a puff.
“Perhaps not,” Smiled Alastor, “Although our dear Charlotte seems as much in the dark of the situation as the rest of us. Surely it is her business as to why you abandoned her?”
“Charlie knows what she needs to know, so stop butting your ugly face into other people's lives.”
“Are you really sure about that? She was not particularly pleased to have had to call you, you know?’ Alastor pressed, “I do care for her, so of course I don’t want her to be in an uncomfortable position~”
“Fuck you Alastor!” Snapped Lucifer, standing up. “You know nothing about me or my family and you certainly don’t have a right to comment when you don’t even have any friends, let alone any family! All you know is how to be a cruel heartless bastard!”
With that, Lucifer turned and stormed away. Before he made it to the door however, Alastor replied.
“And it seems all you know how to do is run away.”
With that Lucifer turned around, shifting into his devil form. “I have had ENOUGH of you!” He yelled, stomping back over to Alastor.
Angel and Husk slipped away from the bar and made their way to the otherside of the room cautiously, watching as the two men continued to argue.
“You think we should go get Charlie before this becomes physical?” Muttered Husk. Angel chewed his lip in thought and then shook his head.
“I’ll go get Vaggie instead, don’t think Charlie should be dragged into this.” With that, he quickly made his way out of the room, leaving Husk to watch the two men.
Alastor was still sitting down, grinning widely, meanwhile Lucifer was standing in front of him glaring daggers. If looks could kill, thought Husk wistfully.
Luckily, just as it looked like Lucifer was going to resort to blows, Vaggie barged in, slamming the door open.
Lucifer jumped back at the noise, slipping back to his regular form and Alastors head snapped towards the door.
“What the fuck is going on here?!” Snapped Vaggie, storming up to the two of them, angelic spear in her hand.
“Nothing to worry about dear Vaggie, just a minor disagreement.” Smiled Alastor, seeming completely unbothered.
“It better be. Charlie has enough on her plate without having to deal with you two fighting again.” She glared at the two of them.
“He was completely out of line-!” Argued Lucifer, having reverted back to his usual form.
“I don’t care! He’s an asshole, we all know that, but nobody else has had this big an issue with him. If you’re just here to cause fights then it’d be better if you just left.”
With that Lucifer deflated, “Ah right. Sorry, I should-” He awkwardly left the room, and Husk heard the opening and closing of the front door, indicating he’d left the hotel altogether.
Vaggie was quick to leave as well, angrily walking off to wherever she had been before, presumably with Charlie.
“Well,” Said Alastor, “that was certainly entertaining.” He then casually strolled out the room as well, leaving Husk alone wondering what the fuck had just happened.
He slumped down on one of the couches and didn’t notice Angel approaching until he sat down next to him as well.
“Fuck, that was awkward.” Said Angel, slumping against Husk.
Husk reached an arm around the other, sighing. “Tell me about it.”
“Do you think Lucifer will be back?” Asked Angel.
“Not sure, why?”
Angel sighed, “I dunno, I mean we both know that fight was totally Alastor’s fault, and Charlie’s been so happy having her dad here. Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten Vaggie.”
Husk stroked Angel's arm, “No point worrying over it, baby. Alastor’s a dick, we all know that but I doubt it's enough to drive Lucifer away from his daughter.”
“I hope so.”
Husk looked down at Angel’s worried face and sat forward. When Angel looked up at him, he slowly reached out and stroked the side of his face. Angel smiled softly, and leant in for a gentle kiss.
“How about we watch a movie later?” asked Husk with a smile.
“Only if I get to pick,” replied Angel with a grin.
Husk groaned but was smiling, “Fine, fine. Better not be another chick-flick.”
“You love them really,” laughed Angel. He kissed Husk again gently and then leant back down, so he was cuddled up next to him. He pulled out his phone and began to browse different films, worries of the recent drama mostly forgotten.

Lucifer had left the hotel with the intention of heading back to his home. He felt both angry and ashamed and wanted to just hide away from it until the feelings passed. However as he flew he decided against it, knowing that going back to that large desolate place would only make him feel worse.
Instead he flew above the city letting the feeling of wind on his feathers calm him. He sometimes wished he could stay in the sky forever and just leave everything behind where it would be so far below him it wouldn’t matter because it couldn’t reach him.
For a brief moment he dropped his wings and allowed himself to freefall before opening them up again in a burst, catching himself before he fell too far. The adrenaline caused him to laugh for a moment, the feeling of emotional turmoil overpowered by the rush, even though there was technically no danger.
Even if he fell it wouldn't kill him. He knew that.
He lost track of time in the sky, his powerful wings keeping him higher than any winged demon or sinner could reach. If there was one thing he was grateful for it was that he didn't lose his wings when he fell from heaven, even if they did mutate along with the rest of him.
Below him he could hear the bustle of hell, but it was so far away it was just a low blur of noise that was oddly calming.
He didn’t know how long he’d been flying but by the time he decided to land - on top of a towering building in a quieter area - his muscles ached and he found himself almost out of breath: almost, because he technically didn’t need to breathe.
He sat down, wings stretched out behind him and lent back on his arms. After a little while he just decided to lie back, his thick wings cushioning him.
He stared at the red sky.
There were no stars in hell, a miniscule thing in the grand scheme of his punishment but it stung. Lucifer Magne, the Morningstar himself, unable to see the very stars that he himself had helped create from the prison that he’d been condemned to.
Sometimes it felt like everything in his life was part of his punishment that he’d earned from a single mistake.
He raised his left arm up, looked at the ring on his hand and teared up. Everything just felt too much.
He was tired of feeling like shit, and he was tired of not knowing what to do to change that. It seemed that even when he did try he ended up right back where he started anyway: rock fucking bottom.
He dropped his hand back down, the ring feeling like a heavy weight. His heart clenched. He wished he could take it off. He wished that all his thoughts and feelings would come off with the ring and he could just put them all away.
It felt like an eternity since he was condemned to Hell. At first it hadn’t been so bad. Lilith, who’d fled from Eden before the fall, seemed happy enough to join him in Hell and that had been a comfort.
When sinners began to appear in Hell he’d been heartbroken of course, blaming himself, but with Lilith by his side they’d built a Kingdom.
The sins appeared one by one, and every day they grew stronger and Hell grew bigger.
It wasn’t long until it had expanded into seven rings, each ran by their own corresponding sin. Lucifer put himself in charge of pride. It seemed fitting.
As the years passed and Hell grew bigger, more sinners appeared by the day, Lucifer found himself feeling more unhappy. Every sinner was down in Hell because of him. Every sin ever committed was because of him.
He knew the sin of every sinner in Hell, knew the weight of every one of their crimes and it dragged him down. It felt as though every deed was one he'd committed with his own hands and the guilt of it consumed him from the inside out.
Heavy was the head that wore the crown. He scoffed self-deprecatingly at the thought.
Lilith had taken over the majority of work, content to let him wallow in the background as she held true power. He didn’t care at the time, he’d just felt exhausted and desperately wanted to hide away from reality.
It meant that things were even harder when Lilith got up and left. Years of decisions and work that he had next to no knowledge of was suddenly his responsibility, and when he couldn’t fill the role it just left him feeling worse.
He was a pathetic excuse for a King.
He sighed.
Fuck he needed a drink… or something stronger.
Something that would stop him from feeling this way or thinking so much.

Back at the hotel, Charlie paced the living room, anxiously checking her phone and biting her nails. Vaggie was trying to calm her down to no success.
“Do you think he’s okay? He hasn’t answered any of my calls-”
“Charlie-”
“He wouldn't just leave, I mean he’d probably say something if he wasn’t coming back right?”
“Charlie.” Vaggie interrupted, grabbing her girlfriend to halt her pacing. “I’m sure he’ll be back, he’s probably just… calming down.”
Charlie nodded, pulling Vaggie in for a hug.
“I know, I’m just…” Charlie trailed off with a sigh.
“I’m sorry for yelling at him, I didn’t mean to make him to leave.” Vaggie said, feeling ashamed of herself. She’d been so stressed with everything going on and had barely slept the night before because of nightmares, which left her more short tempered than usual.
The two girls pulled back from hugging, and went together hand in hand to sit down.
“No, Vaggie, it’s not your fault,” comforted Charlie, not wanting her girlfriend to blame herself, “He probably would have gone out to calm down anyway. I just… I don’t want him to leave again…”
Vaggie pulled Charlie closer to her so her girlfriend was leaning against her.
“He wouldn’t, he loves you so much, anyone can see that.”
“I know that, I don’t doubt he loves me but… I still don’t even know why he left before? Me and Mum barely saw him and then even after Mum left he didn’t come back and I just…”
Charlie’s eyes watered and she turned to press her face to Vaggies chest, her girlfriend holding her tightly in her arms.
Vaggie didn’t know what to say to comfort her girlfriend. Nobody knew why Lucifer disappeared for years, but she did know that Lucifer was happy to be with his daughter again. She was sure he wouldn’t just disappear again.
However by the next day, there had still been no sign of him. Charlie had only grown more anxious, especially after she’d visited his palace only to find it completely empty. She had realized her dad had left his phone in his bedroom, which explained why none of her calls or messages had been answered, but also left Charlie scrambling for a way to get ahold of her dad.
The other hotel inhabitants were also on edge, mostly because Charlie was. They’d all grown to like her and so seeing her so down and worried made them all wish they could help.
Angel especially felt bothered, wondering if he could’ve done or said anything to prevent the King disappearing.
He was sitting at Husk’s bar, enjoying a virgin cocktail when his phone buzzed. He glanced at it, seeing it was a text from Cherri and sighed. He took a sip from his drink, ignoring the text, not in the mood to be badgered to go out.
It was only when his phone buzzed a 2nd and 3rd time, before ringing did Angel take notice. Cherri barely ever rang him.
“You alright?” He asked.
“Yeah I am,” Replied Cherri through the phone. He could hear the noise of a club through the phone and rolled his eyes.
“Cherri I’m not in the mood to go out tonight-”
“Yeah, yeah whatever, I actually called cause I think I found your missing king.”
Angel was on his feet in a second, pacing back and forth, “What? Where? I’ll go tell Charlie-”
“Hold it Angel, I think it’d be better if you came alone.” Cherri was borderline yelling over the racket in the background, “Wait a moment, fuck, wait.”
He heard yelling before the sound of a door slamming, cutting off the music.
“I’m outside Rotgut Roulette-”
“Fuck Cherri, thought we agreed to not go there again-”
“Yeah well be grateful I did,” Cherri grunted as if lifting something heavy, “found the missing king in a shitty disguise, drunk beyond belief. Lucky nobody else recognised him.”
“Fucking hell,” Angel rubbed his face, “I’ll be there in 20.”
“Okay, we’re down the sidestreet, see ya!”
The phone call shut off and Angel made his way back to the bar, deciding to keep Husk up to date.
“Heya Husky, think I’ve got a lead on our missing majesty, cover for me?”
“Wha-” Angel interrupted Husk with a kiss, “hey!”
“Back in a bit Husk!” He called, rushing out the doors.
It was easy to flag down a taxi and it wasn’t long before he was near Rotgut Roulette.
He pulled a face and crossed his arms as he looked around. Phantom Pavillion was a well known area, full of dingy shops, clubs and bars. It was one of the more awful areas of hell, with each place known for their own fucked up specialty.
Rotgut Roulette was known specifically for serving ‘potentially’ laced drinks. Whether your drink was laced or not was up to chance and you never knew what it was laced with either. Hence the club's name. Whether you simply got what you ordered, a light narcotic or a poison that'd bring you to death's door was left purely to chance, with the bartenders literally playing roulette to decide it all.
He shuddered thinking about his past experiences there, and hurriedly made his way down the alley to the side of the club.
He spotted Cherri first, who turned, visibly ready to fight at the sound of someone approaching. Once she realized it was Angel she visibly relaxed.
“I’m so glad you’re here. He’s been a nightmare.”
Behind Cherri was the King of Hell himself, though it took him a moment to recognise him. He wore a black dress and a black lace veil that concealed his face. Between the outfit, the more feminine body type he’d shifted into and the fact he’d all but been missing from the public eye for decades, it was clear to see why only Cherri recognised him. Thank the stars for that, thought Angel.
“Jeez,” he exclaimed, pulling a face.
“Tell me about it! I thought he was a bloody banshee at first,”
Angel sighed, making his way to Lucifer, who was passed out and slumped against the wall.
“You know banshees never leave the wrath ring Cherri,”
He picked up the small man with relative ease and carried him bridal style.
“He was surrounded by empty glasses and had a whole booth to himself! Everyone was avoiding him.”
“Everyone?” Angel raised an eyebrow. Rotgut Roulette was notorious for frequently being filled with perverts looking for their next victim.
“Everyone,” said Cherri, hand on her hip, “he kept crying, and not in a fun way either.”
“Yeesh, no wonder you thought he was a banshee. How’d you get him to leave?”
“I didn’t, he passed out. Then tried to fight me on the way out,” she paused, “least I think he did, but he seemed too out of it to really do anything other than slightly flail about.”
Angel looked down at the unconscious man and sighed, “Thanks for getting him out of there Cherri,”
She shrugged, “Eh, it’s no big deal. Anyways, you better be getting him back. See ya later Angie.”
“See ya,” Angel bent down and scooped up Lucifer, who didn't even twitch at the moment. It was only the feeling of power emanating from the King that let Angel know he wasn't dead. Or at least he hoped it indicated that. He tried not to think about it too hard. Fuck, did angels have pulses? He wasn’t going to check in case they didn’t and he freaked himself out. It wasn’t like there was anything in Hell that could kill Lucifer right? He tried not to worry and just focus on getting Lucifer home.
Lucifer stayed completely passed out for the journey back, only waking up once they got out the cab.
“Wha?” He slurred, “Angel?”
“Yeah Doll it’s me, how you feeling?”
“Not a doll,” Mumbled Lucifer.
“Uh huh.” With another pair of arms, Angel pulled out his phone and dialed Husk. It rang once before it got picked it up.
“Angel?”
“Heya Baby, do you know if the coast is clear?”
“Charlie and Vaggie went up to bed, Nifty’s passed out in the living room and I dunno where the others are but they aren't around.”
“Good enough for me,”
The main door opened up before Angel got there, revealing Husk. Angel stepped inside, and bent to give Husk a kiss.
“He alright?” Husk wrinkled his nose “Stinks of booze.”
“Yeah, Cherri found him in Rotgut Roulette.”
“Rotgut Roulette? Shit, what was he doing in a place like that?”
The two of them made their way towards the lift, Husk pressing the button for the sixth and highest floor, where only Lucifer and Alastor stayed.
“Drinking and crying apparently.”
Husk just shook his head. They made their way towards the right side, where Lucifer's room was. They’d never seen Lucifer's room, but considering there were only two rooms, and Husk knew which one belonged to Alastor, it wasn’t difficult to figure out. Husk tried the door but unsurprisingly found it locked.
“Heya, short King, can you unlock your door for us?”
Lucifer groaned in Angel's arms, but didn’t respond. Angel sighed, it wasn’t like the King had any pockets or a bag he could search for keys.
“I’ll take him down to my room.”
“You sure?” Asked Husk. He knew Angel didn’t like people being in his safe space. “Could always use my room?”
Angel shook his head, “Nah, I was the one who picked him up. Hopefully if he remembers that, he won’t panic so much in the morning. Waking up not knowing where you are sucks.”
The two made their way to Angel’s room, and Angel dumped Lucifer on his bed. Fat Nuggets immediately started snuffling at the unconscious man, and Angel gently shooed him away, debating what to do. He unclipped the veil from Lucifer's hair and put it on his dresser but decided against undressing the King. It just felt too weird.
“You wanna come back to my room?”
Just as Husk asked there was a groan from the bed and a retching sound. It was only due to Angel’s quick instincts that he managed to grab his bin in time for Lucifer to throw up.
“I better not. Wouldn't want Mini Majesty to choke on his own vomit overnight.”
Husk sighed, “I understand,” he gave him a gentle smile before slowly leaning in for a kiss which was returned happily.
“We’ll watch a movie another night. See ya in the morning baby,”
“Night Husky,”
The door was shut gently, leaving Angel alone with the unconscious King of Hell, and Fat Nuggets, who seemed intent on trying to eat said King's hair.
Angel quickly changed into his nightclothes in his bathroom, not wanting to leave Lucifer alone for too long, and then made his way to bed. The bed was easily big enough for the two of them to lie in it without touching. After the refurbishment of the hotel, every room was much larger, with grander furniture and an ensuite.
Though Angel was sure it was somewhat meant as a dig at Alastors previous build, he wasn’t complaining and neither was anyone else. Except maybe Alastor, but he’s much too smarmy to say it outright.
Fat Nuggets was led down between the two of them and snorted at Angel softly as he petted him.
“You’ll let me know if he needs help won’t you Nuggets?”
Nuggets snorted an affirmative and Angel smiled before closing his eyes to sleep.

Lucifer awoke to a pounding in his head and a dry mouth. He groaned, debating between getting up to fetch painkillers or burrowing his head under the blankets to block out any light.
His decision was made for him when the blankets were pulled back and a glass of water was pressed into his hands, followed by the offering of what he recognised as painkillers. It took him a moment longer than he’d like to admit to realize this very much was not his room, and that he had no clue why Angel was with him.
He didn’t panic, partly because his head felt like it was stuffed with cotton and partly because he knew there wasn't anything or anyone in hell that could be a threat to him.
“How’ you feeling?”
Lucifer groaned and downed the last of the water, "Like shit,” he croaked.
Angel huffed out a laugh before sitting down on the bed next to him.
“No surprise there. Cherri found you half dead at Rotgut Roulette.”
“Fucking hell,” Lucifer rubbed his eyes, “out of all places I ended up there?”
“Yup,” Replied Angel, “Luckily it seemed like nobody other than Cherri recognised you, and apparently you wailing like a banshee kept everyone away.”
Lucifer groaned again, “I am so sorry.”
He turned to slip out of the bed, but his legs gave way when he attempted to stand and he was only saved from dropping to the floor by Angel grabbing him.
“Hey, slow it down, if there's anything I know about the drinks served at Rotgut Roulette it’s that you’re not gonna be doing much more than lying in bed today. To be honest, I’m surprised you’re already this conscious.”
Angel deposited Lucifer back into the bed and Lucifer found he didn't have the energy to argue.
“Takes a lot to knock me down,” Said Lucifer, already lying back down.
“Uh huh,” Replied Angel, getting up, “anyway you sleep until those meds kick in. I’ll be back later.”
Lucifer was already half asleep before Angel finished speaking, and so he just sleepily hummed an affirmative.
Angel tiredly made his way downstairs, planning on asking Husk to make him some breakfast. He had slept restlessly, scared of Lucifer choking on his own sickness in his sleep. Not to mention that at least twice he’d been woken up by Lucifer’s thrashing from what looked like nightmares.
He never thought that The King of Hell would be so… well… human. Drinking his sorrows away and thrashing from nightmares. Reminded him of himself in a sad way.
“Hi Angel! How are you this morning?” Charlie was sat at the main table with Vaggie, both of them with a mug of tea and a plateful of pancakes.
“Good thanks toots, how’s you?”
“I’m good! There's more pancakes in the kitchen if you’d like, Husk is in there as well.”
“Thanks,” he made his way past them towards the door that led to the kitchen. Husk was stood at the stove, frying bacon.
“Heya baby, how’ you feeling?”
“Tired.” He poured himself a cup of coffee from the steaming coffee pot, and heaped in 3 spoonfuls of sugar and some creamer.
“You want some bacon?”
“Mhm.” Angel came up behind Husk and rested his chin on his head, closing his eyes as his second set of arms wrapping around his waist.
He felt the low rumble of Husk purring at the content and sighed, waiting a moment longer before pulling back.
“Do you think I should’ve told Charlie?”
Husk served the bacon onto two plates, along with a couple of the pancakes Charlie had made. Angel grabbed the syrup and drowned his plate in it, ignoring the face Husk pulled at the sight.
They decided to sit in the kitchen as they ate, neither of them in the mood for the socialization that would come with sitting in the main room.
“I think you made the best choice given the situation. Charlie shouldn’t have to see her dad like that and I doubt his Majesty would want her seeing him like that either.”
“Yeah I s’pose,” Angel pushed his food around.
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I’m sure as soon as his Majesty is up he’ll go speak to her.”
“He’s already up.”
Husk paused, “Already? Shit thought he’d be out for at least another day.”
“Me too, never known anyone be conscious after a night out at Rotgut Roulette, especially after drinking the amount that Cherri implied he had.”
Husk shook his head, finishing off his breakfast. “What’d he say?”
“Not much. Was definitely hanging. Badly..” He emphasized, “gave him some painkillers and some water and he was out of it again before I left the room.”
“I’ll make some soup for him.” Said Husk.
“You sure?”
Husk smiled gently, “I know you hate cooking but I also know you’re too kind to let him starve.”
Softly, Angel laughed. “Yeah, got me there.”
Husk took the two plates and loaded them into the dishwasher along with everything else.
He looked over at Angel, who was staring at the counter and tapping his fingers.
“Why don’t we go watch a movie, take your mind off things? We can watch it in your room?”
“Huh?”
“I know you’re worried about him.”
Angel sighed, shoulders slumping, “I just…” He trailed off, unable to explain without sharing information he was sure Lucifer didn’t want everyone knowing. “I dunno,”
“I know,” Husk reached a hand out, which Angel took and pulled him in for a hug, “Big Boss of Hell, drinking away his sorrows, makes you feel sorry for him really.”
Angel nodded, face pressed to Husk’s shoulder.
“Hits a bit close to home,” Angel mumbled, “don’t even know what he drank. Doubt he does either.”
They held each other until Angel eventually pulled back, but reached out to hold both of Husk’s hands.
“Thank you,” said Angel, softly.
“Was just breakfast.”
“No, for everything,” Angel squeezed Husk’s hands and smiled at him, “C’mon then, I’ll even let you pick the movie, as long as it's not Star Wars.”
“They’re classics!”
“Uh huh, and they suck.” Teased Angel.
They playfully bickered on the way to Angel's room, laughing softly as Angel unlocked the door. He peered over to his bed where Lucifer was fast asleep with Fat Nuggets.
“Still out?” Asked Husk.
Angel hummed an affirmative, and the two made their way over to the couch across the room. Angel grabbed his laptop from the table and flopped down, opening up CineVox to pick a movie. Husk put his arm around the back of the couch and Angel leaned to snuggle against him.
Angel hated the Vee’s passionately, Val especially, but he wasn’t going to complain about the free subscription to the only streaming service in Hell that offered both demon and human media.
“Breakfast at Tiffanys or The Birds.”
“Really?” Asked Husk, “Thought you said I got to pick?”
“You do,” Grinned Angel, “You get to pick between those two,”
“And those are my options? Out of every movie on here?”
“Yup.”
Husk grumbled before deciding.
“Breakfast at Tiffany's then, but only because I hate The Birds.”
“It’s because of your cat instincts.” Teased Angel.
“It’s because it's a shit movie.”
“Take that back!” Gasped Angel dramatically, “it’s a masterpiece!”
“A masterpiece of shit alright,” Grinned Husk.
“I can’t believe you would even say that in front of me!” Bemoaned Angel, dramatically, “it’s what motivated me to be a movie star in the first place!”
“It wasn't even out when you became a movie star!” Laughed Husk.
“Well, the remake I made of it certainly helped me rise to fame so there.”
At Husk’s silence and reddening cheeks Angel grinned.
“You’ve seen it! You’ve seen one of my movies!” He cheered.
“This is hell, everyones seen one of your movies.” Grumbled Husk, trying to seem indifferent, but his refusal to look Angel in the eye showed that he was embarrassed.
“Aww, Husky, you could’ve just said you were a fan!” Angel swiveled and wrapped his arms around Husk, squeezing him against his chest.
“I didn’t- It wasn’t-” Husk stuttered.
“Now I just gotta know what you thought.”
Husk groaned, “it was better than the original at least.”
“Aww!” Angel pulled Husk in for a tight hug again. to which Husk let out a small squeak, “thank you, Baby!”
“Yeah, yeah, let's just watch the movie,” Mumbled Husk. still self-conscious about being caught out.
“Sure thing,” Smiled Angel.
Only about 10 minutes in, Husk spoke again.
“For it bother you?”
“What, the film?”
“No, that I've seen one of your movies.”
Angel paused, thinking about it, “I don't think so.” he smiled, “I used to be so proud of the movies I was in. I guess I still am in a way. I mean, I get what you’re asking and don’t get me wrong I hate Val, and I hate those fuckers who just see me like a prop, but you’ve never made me feel like that. I think if anything I felt… I dunno, pleased?”
“You sure?” Asked Husk.
“Yeah,” Smiled Angel, cheeks feeling warm, “I like the idea of you liking me: of you finding me attractive.”
“Course I like you,” Assured Husk, “and everyone knows you're absolutely gorgeous.”
“I don't care about ‘everyone’ though, I care about you.”
They both blushed as they looked at each other.
“I care about you too,” confessed Husk.
They kissed gently, before turning back to the movie, both feeling happy in the other's company.
Angel had nearly forgotten about Lucifer until he heard a soft noise coming from his bed, just 20 minutes before the movie ended.
He shoved the laptop off his lap and got up, but was surprised to see Lucifer sat upright, rubbing his eyes, mostly just looking tired.
“Oh, Angel!” He exclaimed, before noticing the other person in the room, “and Husk. Hi.” He laughed awkwardly.
“I can go…” Said Husk, standing to leave but Lucifer stood up first, waving his hands.
“No need, no need, I’ll get out your hair now, uh,” he turned towards Angel once more, “and sorry and thank you.”
He stumbled towards the door, and was out before Angel could even process the situation. “And he’s gone.”
“I bet his Majesty is probably embarrassed.”
“Not like he’d done anything I haven't done before,” Huffed Angel, sitting back down on the couch.
“Yeah but,” Husk waved a hand, “he’s the king. He probably feels like he’s got a certain reputation to uphold.”
“I guess,” Angel still wished he could’ve done more but accepted it with a sigh, “anyways, let’s finish the movie.”
Several hours later, Angel was still on edge. From what he knew, Lucifer still hadn’t emerged from his own room or let anyone know he was back. Part of him feared that he was worse off than he appeared or, hell forbid, he’d gone back out.
Husk had gone back to manning the bar after their movie, after being told to by Alastor, and so Angel was left alone. He could’ve followed Husk but he didn’t know how to properly face Charlie, feeling like he’d betrayed her.
Eventually he decided he’d just go check on Lucifer. The whole way there he mentally argued on his decision, I mean this was The King of Hell, but on the other hand Angel would check up if it was anyone else so why not him?
He hadn’t managed to talk himself out of it by the time he ended up outside of Lucifer’s door, but he still hesitated before knocking.
“Your majesty?” He called, “it’s, uh, it’s Angel. Just wanted to check up on you. See how you’re doing ya know?” He felt awkward talking to a locked door which may or may not have royalty behind.
Just as he was about to give up and turn around, the door unlocked and opened slightly.
Angel pushed the door open and winced at the sight.
The room would have been grand, if not a tad gaudy, with red wallpaper, white bunting and red and gold furniture, but instead the room was dark, dusty and clearly a mess.
What looked like piles of rubber ducks were heaped in every corner, and there were empty bottles strewn everywhere. Altogether, it looked like a circus and a depression room had a lovechild.
To the side of the room, there was a large red and gold couch where Lucifer was sitting, in a pair of duck print pajamas.
“Your Majesty?”
“Don’t call me that.” Slurred Lucifer, voice small. Angel winced, realizing that Lucifer was still in fact drunk. Although, it wasn’t all that surprising considering the circumstances.
He hesitated before approaching, deciding to sit next to him.
“Lucifer?”
Lucifer sighed. “Why are you here Angel?”
“I- I was worried about you.”
Lucifer seemed to shrink into himself even more. “I can tell when people are lying.” He asked
“I ain’t lying!” Objected Angel.
“I know,” Sighed Lucifer, “Sorry, I don’t know how to help you.”
“Help me?” Questioned Angel, “Your- Lucifer, you ain’t gotta help me with nothin’! I came to help you.”
“But you’re worried about me, you shouldn’t have to do that, I’m the King of Hell. The Big Boss himself. You shouldn’t have that burden.”
Angel frowned, tensing, “I don’t care who you are, I’d be worried about anyone who’d spent a night at- at that place. And it ain’t a burden either. I just wanna help.”
“How?” Exclaimed Lucifer, “how can anyone help me?! I’m a fucking mess.”
“Sweetheart you're talking to a drug addicted porn star,” pointed out Angel, “this is hell. Everyone here’s a little messy.”
“Yeah but I’m,” Lucifer sniffed, “I’m supposed to be the king. I’m supposed to be better than this.”
Angel's shoulders slumped in sympathy, “Lucifer, you don’t have to be anything other than what you are.”
“But what I am isn’t good enough. I’m a failure of an Angel, failure of a king, failure of a husband and failure of a father.” His voice was wobbly and Angel winced seeing tears that shimmered gold drip from Lucifer’s eyes.
Angel shifted, not knowing what to say to help, “do you mind if I hug you?” he asked.
Lucifer didn’t respond, but turned and slumped into Angel. Angel wrapped two arms around the crying King, whilst another pair stroked his hair.
“I just hate all of this!” Wailed Lucifer.
“Yeah, I feel you there.” Sighed Angel.
After a couple more minutes of Angel trying to comfort the drunken King, Lucifer seemed to calm down slightly.
“I think you need to rest, Lucifer.”
He pulled back sniffling. “Would you sleep with me?”
Angel balked, “Uh, I don’t think you’re exactly in the right headspace for that-”
“Oh!” Exclaimed Lucifer, flushing, “No, no, nope! I meant sleep as in, as in sleep, I just, haa ha sorry,” he rambled, faster than Angel could process.
“Hey chill out, it’s fine,” laughed Angel, understanding what Lucifer meant, “Sorry for the misunderstanding, blame the line of work,” he teased.
Lucifer laughed awkwardly, “Yeah, ha, sorry I just…” he hesitated, “I just don’t want to be alone at the moment.”
Angel softened, “I know the feeling. C’mon then. I ain’t got anything else to do anyway.”
“Thank you,” Mumbled Lucifer, who stood, swaying slightly. He stumbled his way to his bed and flopped down on it with a groan. “I feel awful.”
“I’m not surprised,” Replied Angel, making his way to sit on the bed.
“I feel so drunk.”
Angel laughed, “also not a surprise. In all honesty, I was shocked by how sober you seemed earlier.”
Lucifer just groaned in response, “am good at pretending.”
“Yuh huh,”
The two led there in silence, neither of them saying a word.
After a little while Lucifer spoke again.
“Can you tell me about earth?”
Angel smiled, “Sure,”
He talked about the sun first, about sunrise and sunsets. He talked about sunny summer days and spring showers that drenched you to the bone. How in autumn the leaves changed color and how everything just felt slightly cozier, and how fallen leaves would soon disappear in place of thick snow.
By the time he’d described what the first warmth of a new spring felt like, Lucifer was asleep.
Angel sighed softly, and closed his eyes, drifting off as well.
When Lucifer awoke, it was dark outside and a glance at the clock on the wall showed it was the early hours of the morning. Meaning he’d slept the entire day.
He looked over at Angel who was fast asleep and sighed. It was too late to keep his distance now that he’d drunkenly cried all over him, and the feelings of shame and embarrassment curdled in his stomach at the thought of what he’d done.
He fetched himself a glass of water and when he returned Angel was sitting up, rubbing his eyes.
“What time is it?” He asked, yawning.
“Just gone 4 in the morning.” Replied Lucifer.
“Shit,” Angel stretched, “I don’t think I can sleep anymore.”
“Me neither,” Replied Lucifer, sitting on the side of the bed.
Angel scooched down the bed so he was sat closer to Lucifer, “do you wanna talk about what happened?”
Lucifer sighed, “I felt like shit, decided to drink away my feelings and now I feel more shit, what else is there to say?” He huffed out a sardonic laugh.
“Lucifer…”
Lucifer turned, “Do you swear you won’t tell anyone?” He asked, offering out his hand which was glowing faintly gold. Angel hesitated for a moment, before nodding.
“Not unless you give me permission to,” He said, before shaking Lucifer's hand. There was a faint glow and Angel saw what looked like a shimmering golden bracelet before it faded. “Huh,” He remarked.
“I already own every soul down here,” He said, noticing Angel’s interest, “so I don't really bother with deals.”
“So I can’t break a promise?” Asked Angel, intrigued.
“You can, but you have to tell me to my face you’re going to,” Lucifer grinned, “not many folks in hell are willing to tell me that they’re planning on breaking their promise.”
Angel laughed, “Yeah I can imagine.”
Lucifer’s smile faded and his gaze dropped to his hand. “Me and Lilith and divorced.”
Angel’s eyes widened and his eyebrows raised in shock.
Lucifer sighed.
“We’ve been divorced for… a while… not long after Charlie was born really… But I mean appearances have to be kept up.” He smiled scornfully. “Even Charlie doesn’t know. Nobody does. Makes it hard to interact with people when you’re lying to them all.”
“I can’t even imagine…” Sympathized Angel.
Lucifer fiddled with the ring on his finger. “She was the first person to ever break a promise to me.”
“Lucifer…” Angel reached out, putting a hand on his shoulder in support.
“I just… I knew she never really loved me, I knew she was just using me but I thought it’d be alright as long as she was still by my side you know?”
Angel did know, a little all too well.
“And then things kept getting worse and it was like she didn’t even care to pretend anymore!” Lucifer exclaimed, “One day we were a happy family and the next she just… was fed up with it I guess. Fed up with me.”
Lucifer sighed leaning back, “And when your own wife - the person you’ve known since the beginning of time! - leaves you it just…”
“...Makes you think ‘if they can leave me then everyone else probably will as well’?” Finished Angel.
“Yeah… Exactly that.” Lucifer rubbed his eyes. “I just… I know I’ve been a shit king and a shit father, but how could I face anyone after that? If they found out they’d just think I’m pathetic.”
“You aren’t pathetic…”
“I am. I mean literally, I am. It’s my fault Lilith ended up in hell, my fault Eve bit the apple and my fault that every sinner did what they did and ended up down here.” Lucifer choked on a sob.
Angel sat there for a moment. “None of that’s your fault. I mean sure, if you hadn’t done what you did then maybe things would be different but everyone involved had their own choice in it too. Why should you be the only one to bear the guilt of it?”
“What?” Sniffed Lucifer.
“I mean sure you were involved with Lilith falling but she could’ve chosen to stay with Adam right? She could’ve chosen to stay in Eden?” Angel pressed.
“I mean-”
“And Eve! Yeah you may have offered the apple but she didn’t have to bite it, and neither did Adam! They could’ve just said no,” Huffed Angel, getting irate on Lucifer’s behalf, “and every sinner after that too. We all have a choice in things. Some of us make the wrong choice, some of us feel stuck because of circumstances and shit, but to a degree we had the freedom to decide for ourselves. That’s what you did Lucifer, not condemn us all to sin, but give us the freedom to make our own choices. Sure, some of us mortals made pretty shit choices but that’s their fault not yours.”
The two of them sat in silence for a moment.
Angel's brow furrowed as he thought about it all, “I mean if humans were really free of sin and unable to do so before they bit the apple then surely they never would’ve even considered disobeying God,” he pondered.
Lucifer’s head jerked up, “What?”
“Well,” Angel frowned in thought, “If they had the choice to bite the apple, before biting the apple, and biting the apple was the first sin - which doesn’t make much sense anyway considering Lilith left before that and that was her sin - then surely that means that they had the capacity to sin before they bit the apple?” Angel rambled.
“I-” Lucifer stared at Angel in shock.
Angel scratched his cheek, “I don’t know if that makes any sense.”
“No it does… It’s just…” Lucifer’s brow furrowed in thought, “what you said makes sense… A lot of sense.”
“I mean you didn’t force them to do anything did you?”
“No!” Lucifer looked horrified even at the idea.
“Then that means they had free will beforehand, and if I’m understanding things right then they had the free will to choose to make the wrong decisions.”
“But that doesn’t make any sense… If they could always sin then why was I blamed?”
“I don’t know,” sighed Angel, deflating, “but you don’t have to blame yourself, even if others do. I know I don’t blame you.”
“How can you not?”
“I made a lot of shit decisions as a human. Some of them cause of others, some of them cause of me, but at no point do I remember you influencing me on those decisions,” teased Angel, nudging Lucifer with a smile, “I mean my twin sister’s in heaven. Same circumstances, different outcomes.” He shrugged. “I think if you condemned every human to sin, then we’d all be down here.”
Lucifer smiled, “I guess.” He exhaled and looked up at the ceiling. “I cannot believe I’ve just had my whole world view uprooted by a sinner, no offense,” chucked Lucifer.
“None taken,” grinned Angel, “And for the record, I doubt heaven’s all it’s cracked up to be.”
Lucifer laughed, “you’re right there! It's a perfect place for perfect people. If you ain’t perfect, then it sucks.”
“Exactly. I mean, imagine Alastor in heaven,” snickered Angel.
“An angelic Alastor?” Grinned Lucifer.
Angel wheezed, “hell, can you even imagine him looking all angelic and shit? White robes and a halo?”
The two of them lost it at that, both laughing uncontrollably.
“Pffft, oh my hell,” Lucifer coughed, trying to calm himself, “you know maybe hell was a good idea after all.”
“Ha, yeah,” Angel snickered, “I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love Charlie’s idea and all but I can’t imagine heaven will be all that great to me.”
“Why?”
“I love drugs, sex and booze,” Replied Angel, counting each one on his fingers with a smirk.
Lucifer laughed again. “Yeah. None of the first and not much of the other two up there either. Gluttony is a sin after all,” he paused, thinking, “not to sound rude but uh, why are you here then?”
“Free rent and booze? Ha no, I’m joking… mostly,” he teased, “It’s less about going to heaven and more about escaping hell. I mean I’m trapped in a deal with no way out and there isn’t really a place for us sinners who aren’t like, you know, Alastor or Valentino, down here,” Angel shrugged, “you either sink or you swim, but if you’ve got chains then no matter how hard you swim they’re gunna drag you down anyway.”
Lucifer frowned, “I never really thought about that.”
“Yeah well, guess you never really had a reason to.”
“I should’ve though. I’m your king.” Lucifer looked at Angel sadly, “I’m sorry.”
“If you’re sorry, then do something about it.” Said Angel with a smile, tone light.
“Yeah…” Replied Lucifer, already deep in thought. “I think I’m going to go speak to Charlie about it.”
Lucifer stood, determined, only to be pulled back down by Angel.
“Maybe not right now,” he pointed out.
“Oh, right, ha.” Lucifer rubbed the back of his neck. “I’ll wait till morning.”
“Good idea,” Yawned Angel, “Fuck, sleeping all day has really messed with my sleep schedule.”
“Sorry about that,” Lucifer said sheepishly.
“Nah don’t be sorry, my sleep schedule’s ass anyway,” Angel stood up and stretched, “so what do you usually do?”
“Oh I, uh, I make ducks? Well, not just ducks but uh mostly ducks.”
“Sounds cool,” Angel smiled, “Do you wanna show me?”
Lucifer’s face lit up, excited to show off his creations and for the first time in a long time it felt like he had a friend.
