Crown Prince Drystan

It appears you've been reborn in this world after a devastating accident. As you eavesdrop on the servants whispering around, you realize you're now Princess Verena, apparently the villain in this world. The maid hiding behind the man in front of you has been harmed by Verena.

That's Crown Prince Drystan, his gaze fixed on you with hostility "You hurt her" he rasps, eyes blazing with anger and an edge in his voice

"I'll tear you apart with my bare hands, even if you're are my fiancée."

Belphie

Fortunately for me, me and Princess Verena aren't too different, and I can act as I want to, without having to worry about being suspicious.

I stare at him with a blank face and dull eyes.

Crown Prince Drystan

Drystan's eyes narrow, his gaze practically searing into yours. He takes a step closer to you, towering over you in all his regal magnificence "Are you even listening to me, Princess?" he asks mockingly, using your title like a jab

Belphie

I turn, and walk out, ignoring everything happening. No one follows me, too shocked that the Princess, who was a spoiled brat that had a twisted sort of love for the Prince, just walk away, no longer caring about anything.

Crown Prince Drystan

Drystan watches your departure, stunned by your indifference. But after his initial surprise, his expression hardens into a scowl. Frustration and bewilderment mix within him as he watches your figure walk away without a word

He grinds his teeth, the tension in his shoulders obvious. He fights the urge to go after you, to demand an explanation, but something holds him back. He turns towards Miri, who's now emerged from her hiding place, her gaze filled with worry as she looks at Drystan

Belphie

(FOCUS SWITCH)

Meanwhile, I continue walking through the empty halls of the castle, eventually reaching the Royal Gardens. It is almost Midnight currently, and no one would be here, for any reason.

(edited)

Belphie

(No more focusing on Drystan)

I walk a bit deeper into the gardens, an area no one else is even aware of, not even the gardeners. No one else is around

Crown Prince Drystan

As you delve into the secluded depths of the gardens, a sense of solitude envelops you. The sound of night whispers and crickets fills the air, the darkness veiling you in its cloak

Belphie

I sit down on a bench and snap my fingers.

Suddenly, my poofy and overly large bright red dress is suddenly a fancy but more comfortable emerald-green waist coat, black pants and boots covering anything lower. The annoying makeup also disappears, unneeded. Fortunately, my hair is already a pitch-black color, and my eyes only need a bit more brightness to be my purple-pink gradient color. My hair is long and straight, flowing against my back and shoulders like a waterfall, no longer tied up like before. I have shiny green earrings with a single silver ring on my right middle finger, completing my look.

My outfit is an odd mix of Modern, Fantasy (Like Modern Manga/Novels), and Medieval. I give off a Mysterious vibe, not that anyone is around to see it.

Crown Prince Drystan

The quiet of the night is undisturbed, save for the occasional rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. As your transformation completes, a sense of freedom seems to flow into you, a weight lifting from your shoulders. Your new attire is a striking combination of modern and medieval elements, making you look both elegant and mysterious. The emerald green waist coat and the black pants and boots complement your dark hair and purple-pink-gradient eyes, giving you an otherworldly, captivating air. The only witness to your transformation is the moon, casting its silvery light on the garden

Belphie

I smirk, as the previous host of this bodies memories order itself into my head. Both sets of memories, which I will call 'Modern' & 'Fantasy', settles. I have all the memories and knowledge of the Modern Era from my past life, while also having the memories of my current life, as Verena, the 'Evil Princess of the North', the lovesick fiancée of Crown Prince Drystan of the Potestas Empire.

Crown Prince Drystan

The memories from both your past life and this world swirl together in your mind, like two different worlds converging into one. As the knowledge and experiences of both 'Modern' and 'Fantasy' settle into your consciousness, you begin to gain a wider perspective of your circumstances.

The memories of being Verena, the 'evil Princess of the North', intertwine with your modern sensibilities. You now have access to the intricate details of the 'Fantasy' world you find yourself in. It feels like a puzzle pieces clicking into place.

Belphie

After I had died in the usual way that Novel Protags do, Truck-Kun, I was reincarnated as the Villainess of the Novel I had recently finished reading, Verena. I only just got the memories of my past life in the Modern world now, but it's still before the Novel bas begun.

Crown Prince Drystan

With the memories of your past life in the Modern world merging with the knowledge of this fantasy world, a sudden realization dawns upon you. You now understand the bigger picture, where you stand in the story.

You've been reborn into the novel you recently read, taking on the role of Verena, the 'evil Princess of the North'. You find yourself at the very beginning of the novel's events, before the story can truly unfurl. The path ahead is uncertain, yet you possess the unique advantage of knowing the story's future and the opportunities that lie therein.

Belphie

'Servant to Sovereign', is a Romance-Fantasy Novel that has 3 main characters:

The Protagonist, who is the Female Lead: Miri, a maid, who the Male Lead is in love with.

The Male Lead: The Crown Prince of the Potestas Empire, Drystan.

The Novel has multiple Villains, but the main Antagonist is Drystan's fiancée, Verena, the Villainess.

The Story Plot will begin in around 2 years from now. The Male Lead, Drystan, ignores his Fiancée for a Maid, which is understandably outrageous, although in the Novel is ignored. Miri, the maid, doesn't have any interest in Drystan at first, but eventually falls equally in love with the Prince over the plots story. Drystan's Fiancée, Verena, is outraged at this, as they were in love before the maid arrived. Everyone in the novel, for some reason, ignores that this is logical, and thinks she's overreacting, despite their official betrothal and relationship. Everyone, for absolutely not reason, starts hating and spreading rumors about her, which makes her angry and bitter, understandably. She is forced into the role of Villainess, but never goes too far, unlike the other antagonists, who attempt to kill the couple. Despite all of this, at the end of the Novel, Verena is executed for poisoning Miri, with literally NO PROOF. It is later revealed, after Miri is cured, that the poisoning was caused by some assassin, but everyone shrugs the unjustified execution off.

The Novel's fanbase ended up falling in love with Verena, and hating the Main 'Heroes', and was pissed off at the Author. The Author promised to make another Novel, in a separate universe, with Verena as the Protagonist, living a better and happier life, with Miri & Drystan as background characters with a different plot.

Unfortunately, I died before that was published.

Crown Prince Drystan

You recall the details of the Novel, 'Servant to Sovereign', vividly. You remember the key characters - the Female Lead, Miri, the Male Lead, the Crown Prince of the Potestas Empire, Drystan, and the main Antagonist, Verena, the Villainess.

You know about the plot of the Novel, where the Male Lead ignores his fiancée, Verena, for the maid, Miri. The story unfolds, with the protagonist falling in love with the prince, while everyone dismisses the villainess's anger as overreaction, though it's quite understandable considering her previous engagement.

Belphie

Fortunately, I 'woke up', for lack of a better phrase, before the Novel's Plot had begun. According to my memories, I am around 2 years before it starts. Only recently had Verena started getting angry and bitter enough to start acting as evil as rumors said she was, but I could avoid my role as Villainess if I start ignoring the MC's (Main Characters: Female & Male Leads).

Crown Prince Drystan

You recall the timeline of the Novel and realize that you have roughly two years before the plot officially begins. You remember that Verena, the villainess, has only recently started to exhibit her villainous tendencies, becoming increasingly angry and bitter due to the unfolding events in the story.

With this knowledge, you now have a crucial opportunity. If you break away from the typical role and start ignoring the Main Characters, you can avoid becoming the 'evil Princess of the North', preventing your execution.

Crown Prince Drystan

However, you're also aware of the unique situation you're in. 'Servant to Sovereign' has a dedicated fanbase that fell in love with Verena, the villainess. They became livid with the unjust treatment of the heroine and the villain, and the Author even promised to make another Novel with Verena as the Protagonist, leading a better life.

Although you were unfortunate enough to die before this additional novel was published, you now have the chance to shape your own narrative, defying the typical fate of the villainess and seizing your own destiny.

Belphie

I grin, as I remember something.

It was only briefly touched on, but The Novel had Magic in it. It never really was explained or focused on like other novels, but that just made it better. Since the Author never made a set Magic System, the Readers made it themselves: The Magic of the Novel was fueled by Imagination, while being controlled by Intent. Basically, as long as you can imagine it, it will work and do as you want it to, and how powerful it was, was based on what you want it to do, along with why you want it to do so.

The Readers decided that the Magic of the world was mildly Sentient, and it sometimes favored some more than others. Of course, they then made it so that Verena was the most powerful Sorceress in the entire Novel's world, because Magic favored her and thought of her as her child.

And so, Verena could basically manipulate all of Reality as she pleased. The reason she never did so, even when she was in her 'Villain Arc', was because she didn't want to control people. She wanted people to love and care for her Naturally, and so pretended to be only slightly above average at Magic.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a knowing grin, you recall the unique magical aspects of the novel 'Servant to Sovereign'. While magic was mentioned, it wasn't explored deeply, leaving room for interpretation.

The fans took it upon themselves to create a magic system, deciding that its power was fueled by imagination and controlled by intent. The magic was even given a hint of sentience, with it favoring certain individuals. In this case, the fans believed that the villainess, Verena, was the most powerful sorceress, as magic favored her and considered her as its child.

Crown Prince Drystan

You remember that Verena's extraordinary ability to manipulate all aspects of reality was a result of her skill with magic, fueled by her imagination and intent. However, she refrained from exerting her vast powers as the villainess, choosing instead to pretend to be only slightly above average in magic. Her desire for love and care from others made her yearn for their affection and loyalty naturally, rather than forcing it through magical means.

Belphie

Verena is a truly tragic character, even in the Fanfiction made by the Novel's Readers

Crown Prince Drystan

Indeed, Verena's character, both in the original novel and the fanfiction created by its readers, is portrayed as a sympathetic and tragic figure. Her unrequited love, the betrayal by her fiancé, and her undeserved execution led to her descent into villainy.

The complexity of her character resonated with the readers, who saw the unfairness of her fate and root for her redemption. The fanfiction often explored alternative narratives where Verena was given a chance to be loved and respected, instead of being vilified for her justified anger and grief.

Belphie

Anyways, as I sit on this bench, in the Royal Gardens, empty of all living beings but me and the tall hedges and other plants, as I relax, looking myself over again.

Crown Prince Drystan

You take a moment to relax on the bench, alone in the tranquil beauty of the Royal Gardens. The silence is soothing, allowing you to focus on yourself.

You run your gaze over your appearance, examining your new attire, the emerald waist coat, and black pants and boots, contrasting against your pitch-black hair and purple-pink-gradient eyes.

Belphie

I lightly touch my hair, and whisper an enchantment, originally from a Fanfiction of 'Servant to Sovereign' that I read. The Enchantment was to change hair, in any way your wish: Length, Style, Color. It also works on the Eyes if you change the last word of it. It was one of the recurring spells, since in the fanfictions plot, Verena ran away and became a magical spy for another Empire. It was very interesting.

"Mutatio capillorum" As I run my hand through my hair, it gradually changes color, although subtle, as it wasn't a major change in color. My pitch-black hair slowly lightens a bit, into a dull purple color. You would only really notice the difference if you carefully looked at a side-by-side image of me before and after the color change. So basically, No one would notice.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you cast the enchantment, whispering the incantation, your hair slowly begins to change color, shifting from pitch-black to a subtle dull purple. The subtle alterations are difficult to notice at first glance.

The spell, taken from a fanfiction of "Servant to Sovereign" that you had read, allowed for precise changes to hair length, style, and color. It also had the ability to affect the eyes when the last word was altered. It was a recurring spell in the fanfiction's plot, where Verena became a magical spy for another Empire.

Belphie

I close my eyes, and cover them with my hands "Mutatio oculi" My eye color, previously a purple-pink-gradient, fades into a more Purple Color, an oddly dull color, that counter-productively glows.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a soft whisper, you cast the enchantment, focusing on the desired change in your eye color. As you utter the spell, "Mutatio oculi", the purple-pink gradient of your irises morphs into a more subdued shade of purple. The result is an odd mixture, with the normally vibrant shade being replaced by a duller hue. This dullness, however, contrasts with the unexpected glow that seems to emit from your eyes, adding an element of contradiction to your appearance.

Belphie

I uncover and open my eyes, making a small hand mirror appear, looking over my face.

My eyes sharpened just a bit, making me look a bit more intimidating, and the odd dull yet glowing texture of my eyes make me look a bit unnatural. Combined with my subtle hair change, anyone who knew me before, or even will meet me in the future, would subconsciously designate me as 'off'. No one would know WHY I seem off, and they would never really be able to figure out why. I would be obviously Human, and not an Elf, Other-Kin, or Other, yet I would feel like I'm not.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you examine your reflection in the hand mirror, a small smirk forms on your face, satisfied with the subtle yet distinct changes in your appearance. The sharpening of your eyes adds a touch of intimidation, while the unusual combination of dullness and glow in your irises gives you a somewhat unnatural aura.

You realize that no one will be able to pinpoint the reason why you seem 'off'. You'll give off an air of being human, yet something about you would feel distinctly uncanny. People may struggle to put their finger on what exactly sets you apart, but they'll instinctively sense something different about you.

Crown Prince Drystan

The effect of your slight transformation is subtle yet potent. People will probably have a feeling of uncertainty when they look at you, not being able to fully understand what makes you seem different.

Your dull yet glowing eyes will make you appear otherworldly, adding an element of mystery to your presence. Despite your human appearance, you'll exude an aura of otherness, defying easy categorization into any specific race or kind.

Belphie

I dismiss the mirror into the void, and stand up.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a flick of your wrist, you make the mirror disappear, letting it vanish into the void. You rise from the bench, standing upright in the empty Royal Gardens.

Belphie

I walk to the largest tree I can see, in the deepest part of the Royal Gardens, which is also the middle of them. There is only one way to this tree, and it is through the garden's Labyrinth Maze, which is surprisingly complicated and big. Royals never go into this part of the Gardens, because there are rumors that it changes shape, and there is no true exit from it. This is only mildly true, as it Does change shape, but only slightly, every 24 hours. There are only two exits from the Labyrinth Maze; One to the Royal Gardens, next to the King & Queens Palace, and the second into the Prince & Princesses personal garden, at their palace.

The current King & Queen don't often go to their part of the Royal Garden, too busy with work and the kingdom's affairs, and the Crowned Prince doesn't care for plants, and ignores his area of it. The Royal Family only has 3 members, so the Princesses part of the palace is used by the Prince's fiancée, Princess Verena.

Crown Prince Drystan

You make your way towards the grandest tree in the garden, which happens to be located in the deepest and most hidden part of the Royal Gardens. The path to the tree is through the labyrinthine maze known for its complex layout, rumors of never-ending paths, and constant shape-changing.

The labyrinth, though a little different from its reputation, does alter its shape slightly every 24 hours, making it trickier to navigate. The only two ways to exit this maze are through two hidden paths: one leading to the King and Queen's palace and the other to the Prince & Princess's personal garden.

Crown Prince Drystan

You note that the King and Queen rarely visit their part of the Royal Gardens, engrossed in their duties and the kingdom's affairs. On the other hand, the Crown Prince, with his lack of interest in plants, ignores his own garden. In absence of the royals, the Princess's part of the palace is presently occupied by Verena, the Crown Prince's fiancée.

Belphie

Basically, none of the Royal Family go to the Garden, let alone into the deeper parts of it, and so Verena is the sole owner of it all. Canon Verena has always been a huge animal lover, and I love them too. The Royal Garden, at least the deeper parts of it no one goes into, is lived in by animals from the nearby woods, such as deer, rabbits, even wolves and some bears. The forest inhabitants treat the Royal Garden as a Neutral Territory, and never kill or harm others there.

Crown Prince Drystan

Verena, while originally portrayed as a villainess in 'Servant to Sovereign', possessed a profound love for animals, just like yourself. As the sole inhabitant of the deeper parts of the Royal Garden, you notice an interesting aspect of the area: the animals from nearby woods, such as deer, rabbits, wolves, and even bears, have taken up residence, deeming it a neutral ground.

These woodland creatures enjoy the tranquility of the garden, and a strange truce seems to exist among them, preventing them from harming each other within these peaceful grounds.

Belphie

Occasionally, even some Other-Kin and Fae come into the Gardens, aware of its beauty and Neutrality. It is open to all, as long as you have no intent to harm others. All of the Folk with Instincts are aware of the Gardens Owner, who owns the Territory. Anyone who means harm to others, are uninvited. The owner, of course, being Verena.

Crown Prince Drystan

Beyond the Royal Family, many Other-kin and Fae creatures have discovered the allure of the Royal Garden, drawn to its beauty and neutrality. The grounds are open to all, as long as one harbors no intent to cause harm. The Folk, guided by their instincts, recognize the territory's rightful owner, who welcomes all who come in peace and exiles those with malevolent intents. This gracious owner, of course, is none other than Verena herself.

Belphie

Anyone who purposefully tries to go against the Rules of the Garden, will be magically warped outside, and not be allowed to enter ever again. If they attempt to harm anyone entering/exiting, they will be teleported far into the nearby Forest, temporarily cursed with not being able to exit until they learn there lesson. If you don't learn your lesson, well... There are rumors of Lost Ones, never able to exit the Forest, eventually going Insane and killing themselves.

Crown Prince Drystan

For anyone foolish enough to defy the rules of the Royal Garden, the consequences are swift and clear. Magical forces will expel them and bar their entrance indefinitely. If their transgressions extend to harming others within the garden, they will be instantaneously transported deep into the adjacent forest, cursed to remain trapped until they comprehend the error of their ways.

Should one fail to learn and continue to disrupt the harmony of the garden, rumors circulate of some unfortunate souls who never found their way out, driven to madness and despair, ultimately resorting to the tragic outcome of taking their own lives within the confines of the unforgiving forest.

Belphie

Verena is known as the Kind but Strict Princess of the Gardens. Even among the Other-Kin, Fae, and Others, Verena is known as a Princess.

Crown Prince Drystan

Among the creatures that frequent the Royal Garden, including the Other-kin, Fae, and Others, Verena is widely recognized as the "Kind but Strict Princess of the Gardens." Her benevolent character and unwavering enforcement of the garden's rules have earned her a title of respect and admiration, earning her the moniker of "Princess" among the inhabitants of the gardens.

Belphie

No one is allowed into the Garden's Center. Inside, the Core of the entire Potestas Empire's Defense is there. Only the ruling Monarch of the Empire is allowed inside.

Now, it isn't too surprising, but there is a single exception. Verena is allowed into the Garden's Center, and is even allowed to Edit the Core. The Garden is not technically sentient, but it is enough that it can Know someone's intentions, and allows Verena, who just wants everyone to be safe, even if they all hate her, to control the Magic of the Empire.

Crown Prince Drystan

Access to the Garden's center is strictly prohibited, as the core of the entire Potestas Empire's defense is situated there.

In rare instances, the ruling monarch of the empire has exclusive access to this inner sanctum. But there's a remarkable exception to this rule.

Verena, despite not being the monarch, is permitted entry into the Garden's center. In a surprising twist, she is even allowed to edit the core itself. While the garden isn't truly sentient, its magic is perceptive enough to discern the intentions of those within it.

Belphie

Verena has strengthened the Shields of the Empire, and even widened it to protect even the farthest towns claimed by the Empire. Of course, she also put protections on the Garden itself, for The Folk, as mentioned previously.

Crown Prince Drystan

Verena, through her access to the Garden's core, has fortified the empire's defenses by enhancing the magical shields that protect it. She has also extended the coverage to include the farthest towns and territories under the empire's reign. Additionally, recognizing the importance of safeguarding the creatures who inhabit the garden, she has placed protective enchantments around the Garden.

Belphie

As I enter the Center Garden, I feel the waves of the Defense Core, in the middle of the area.

I walk to the bench next to it, and gaze into the Orb of Pure Magic that protects the entire Empire. Potestas Empire is one of the only 2 Nations that have an Defense Orb, gifted from Magic.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you enter the central Garden and approach the center orb, you feel the immense power of the Defense Core, pulsing and radiating energy throughout the area. With a reverent air, you approach the bench positioned beside the orb and gaze into its depths, beholding the Pure Magic that shields the entire Potestas Empire.

The Potestas Empire is one of only two Nations fortunate enough to possess a Defense Orb, a rare and remarkable gift bestowed by Lady Magic herself.

Belphie

The world of Servant to Sovereign, named by its Inhabitants as 'Gaia', has Deities, who are not just folklore and believed in, but true beings that are confirmed to exists, just like Humans, Spirits, Fae, Other-Kin, and all.

Crown Prince Drystan

In the world of "Servant to Sovereign," named "Gaia'' by its inhabitants, the presence of Deity figures transcends mere folklore. They are confirmed to be true beings, as real as Humans, Spirits, Fae, Other-kin, and all other inhabitants. Deities are not myth but indisputable reality in this world, where they are revered and believed in as tangible entities.

Crown Prince Drystan

Among these deities, the most well-known is Lady Magic, a being as real and tangible as any other, who not only exists and is revered but also directly interacts and influences the world of "Servant to Sovereign".

Belphie

Among the many deities, there are the Major ones, Personifications of the Universe itself:

Lady Magic, Lady Life (Aka, Mother Nature), Lord Death, Father Time, Discord (Aka, Chaos), Harmony (Aka, Order), and The Fates.

Crown Prince Drystan

Among the multitude of deities that exist, there are the Major figures, personifications of the fundamental aspects of the universe itself: Lady Magic, Lady Life (also known as Mother Nature), Lord Death, Father Time, Discord (or Chaos), Harmony (or Order), and The Fates. These beings represent the very fabric of existence, with each embodying a different aspect of the cosmic order and balance.

Belphie

I stand back up, and step towards the Defense Orb, and reach out a hand, to Edit the Wards.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a determined expression, you rise from the bench and approach the Defense Orb at the center of the Garden's core. Extending your hand towards the orb, you prepare to edit the wards and defenses surrounding the Potestas Empire.

Crown Prince Drystan

As your hand hovers near the surface of the Defense Orb, you can feel the raw power and energy contained within, ready to respond to your magical influence. It is said that only the ruling monarch of the empire is allowed to access this core, but the exception allowed to Verena has granted her the privilege of editing its wards.

Belphie

I tilt my head a bit, and decide to use my memories of Earth to create a videogame-like screen in front of me, similar to a Settings Screen.

Crown Prince Drystan

To your surprise, you muster up memories from your past life on Earth. With a thought, you create a seemingly videogame-like screen that appears in front of you, resembling a settings menu. This interface allows you to manage and modify the settings of the Defense Orb and its wards.

Belphie

With the Orb, I could do anything I imagine to the Potestas Empire. Although people call it a Defense Orb, it can be used to control other things, like the weather for example.

As a test, I press the 'Weather' button, making it open another screen, with many options for what Weather to set, for the Empire.

Crown Prince Drystan

With the power at your fingertips, enabled by the Defense Orb, the possibilities are vast. It is called a Defense Orb, but its capabilities extend beyond that, allowing you to manipulate aspects of the empire itself. As a test, you press the 'Weather' button, opening a new screen filled with numerous options to control the weather within the Potestas Empire region.

Crown Prince Drystan

Among the many options available on the screen, you notice possibilities to select from various types of weather patterns, ranging from clear and sunny skies, to rain, snow, wind, storms, and more. You also notice a 'Customize' option, which allows you to create and input specific weather conditions. The potential to influence the environment and climate of the empire is within your grasp, and the interface awaits your next command.

Belphie

I decide to be cautious, and put a finger onto the 'Clouds' slider, which is currently at the middle-top, as it is mostly cloudy, but not completely. I very, VERY slowly pull it down, slowly making the clouds fade away. I want to be careful, and if someone is outside, awake, even if it is Midnight, I want them to think the weather is natural, and is not being changed by someone.

Crown Prince Drystan

With measured caution, you place your finger on the 'Clouds' slider, which is currently positioned towards the middle-top, representing a mostly cloudy sky. With delicate precision, you gradually bring the slider down, watching as the clouds slowly fade away. You are mindful of the risk of suspicion, wanting to ensure that the change in weather appears natural, especially if someone happens to be outside, even at midnight.

Belphie

I stop at what I would call 'Slightly cloudy', and then close the 'Weathers' screen, going back to the 'Main Settings Screen'. I look over all of the current options, not really looking for anything specific

Crown Prince Drystan

You carefully monitor the progress, pulling the 'Clouds' slider down to 'Slightly cloudy'. Satisfied with the outcome, you close the 'Weathers' screen and return to the 'Main Settings Screen'. As you peruse the various options, you are not actively searching for anything specific, but rather taking a moment to familiarize yourself with the array of available settings.

Crown Prince Drystan

There are several options within the 'Main Settings Screen', including 'Defensive Shields', 'Boundary Wards', 'Population Protection', 'Crops and Weather,' 'Magic Levels,' and 'Other Options.' The scope of influence and control offered through the Defense Orb is vast, and each option represents a different aspect of the empire that can be managed and altered.

Belphie

I decide to see what it means by 'Magic Levels', and press on it.

Crown Prince Drystan

Curiosity drives you to learn more about the 'Magic Levels' option. You press it, bringing up a new screen with detailed information and controls related to the magical energy within the Potestas Empire. The magical levels, it seems, can be modified and controlled directly through this setting.

Crown Prince Drystan

The screen reveals a comprehensive overview of the magical energy levels throughout the empire, with the ability to see the current levels in each region, as well as a slider that allows the manipulation and adjustment of these levels. The implications are clear: with this setting, you possess the power to directly control the magic within the empire itself.

Belphie

Interested, I wonder how much Magic Energy is around the Royal Castle itself, and search for it on the map.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your curiosity piques as you contemplate the magic levels around the Royal Castle. You navigate through the map on the screen, searching for the castle's specific location. As you pinpoint the Royal Castle on the map, you are presented with a detailed chart that indicates the current magic levels in that area, providing a measurement of the magical energy concentrated near the imperial residence.

Crown Prince Drystan

The chart reveals that the magical energy around the Royal Castle is noticeably higher than in other regions, reflecting the importance and significance of the imperial residence. The levels here are likely heightened due to the presence of numerous magic artifacts and enchantments, as well as the high density of magic users within the castle grounds.

Belphie

Curious, I zoom in, near the Gardens, and wonder if It shows me/the Orb.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your interest piqued further, you zoom in on the location of the Gardens, seeking to uncover more information. The screen adjusts to your command, zooming in to the specific area where the Gardens are located within the castle grounds. As you focus on this area, the screen reveals details of the magical energy levels in the Gardens vicinity, including a measurement of the magic surrounding the center of the Garden itself.

Crown Prince Drystan

The level of magic in the Gardens vicinity, especially near the center, is unsurprisingly heightened, given the concentration of magical energy that is harnessed and channeled into the Gardens' core. The Defense Orb's sensors pick up on this, displaying a comprehensive readout of the magic levels in the area, likely reflecting the presence of the enchanted foliage and the powerful spells and enchantments that maintain the Gardens' integrity and potency.

Belphie

I zoom in even closer, and press on the 'living entity' that is shows, which could only be me, and look over at the Magical Levels

Crown Prince Drystan

With a focused zoom, you further narrow in on the specific area, identifying the 'living entity' on the screen that corresponds to you. Pressing on it, you are presented with detailed information regarding the magic levels associated with your presence. The readout shows that your magical energy, as a living being, is being measured by the Defense Orb.

Crown Prince Drystan

The magical energy associated with your presence is displayed in a numerical format on the screen, representing your own internal magic and perhaps the external magic surrounding you as well. The precise level of magical energy associated with you might be influenced by factors such as your own affinity towards magic, any magic-enhancing items you may be carrying, or even external factors such as the current magic levels in the surrounding area.

Belphie

I zoom out again, and press the 'search' button, and then type in: 'Top 10 Strongest Magical Entities', and set the search zone as the entire Empire, and anyone close enough to its borders it can sense.

Crown Prince Drystan

You zoom out once more and decide to conduct a search for the 'Top 10 Strongest Magical Entities' within the Potestas Empire. You set the search zone for the entire Empire, encompassing all areas under its rule as well as any entities close to the borders that might be within the Defense Orb's sensing range.

Belphie

I make a separate screen for the Entities, and set it to hover right next to the Map

Crown Prince Drystan

Following your input, the Defense Orb adapts to your commands, creating a separate screen dedicated to displaying the top 10 strongest magical entities within the empire. This additional screen gracefully floats beside the main map, providing a convenient side-by-side view of the magic levels and the entities associated with them.

Belphie

I look at the 'Folk' part, specifically, curious

(Folk=Species, Kind, Kin. Ex: Humans, Creatures, Kin, Deities, Animals, Other..)

Crown Prince Drystan

You shift your focus towards the 'Folk' section of the list, specifically intrigued by the magical entities falling under this category. This category likely includes a wide range of living beings inhabiting the empire, such as humans, creatures, folk, kin, deities, animals, and other magical beings whose existence falls under this classification.

Crown Prince Drystan

The Defense Orb's sensors and magical energy detection capabilities extend beyond the scope of mere mortals, potentially allowing it to identify and rank other non-human entities within the empire. Whether these entities exhibit magical powers or possess supernatural abilities, the orb is likely capable of detecting and categorizing them within the 'Folk' section of the list.

Belphie

(List the Top 10 Strongest Magical Entities)

Crown Prince Drystan

Lady Magic (Great Deity)

Lord Death (Great Deity)

Father Time (Great Deity)

Lady Life (Great Deity)

Discord (Major Deity)

Harmony (Major Deity)

Verena of the Potestas Empire (Royal Sorcerer)

Drystan of the Kraitha Kingdom (Royal Sorcerer)

Unspecified Deities (Vague Magic Levels)

Magical Creature (Unidentified)

Belphie

Sighing, I edit it a bit, to make it not include Deities, or groups, just individual entities

Crown Prince Drystan

Understanding your desire for a more focused listing, you edit the settings further, excluding Deities and groups. Instead, the orb modifies the list according to your request, now displaying only individual entities, excluding any deities or collective groups.

Belphie

(List the Top 5 Strongest Magical Entities)

Crown Prince Drystan

With your updated request, the Defense Orb refines the list of strongest magical entities accordingly, focusing on individual entities and excluding deities or collective groups. The top 5 strongest magical entities within the Potestas Empire, without deific influence, are as follows:

Verena of the Potestas Empire (Sorcereress, Princess)

Drystan of the Potestas Empire (Mage, Prince)

Magical Artifact (Sealed Demon Lord)

Mysterious Spirit (High Magic Level)

Lesser Deity (Vague Magic Level)

(edited)

Belphie

I'm a bit put-out that that asshole is the strongest, Magically, to my level, and ignore him.

I open the 3, 4, and 5 as separate screens, curious about them.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you open separate screens for the top three entities, you delve deeper into their specific details and information.

Magical Artifact (Sealed Demon Lord)

The first screen, displaying information about the Magical Artifact, reveals it to be a formidable item that contains a sealed Demon Lord. It emanates immense magic energy, despite the Demon Lord's confinement.

Mysterious Spirit (High Magic Level)

The second screen uncovers details about the Mysterious Spirit, characterized by its unusually high magic levels, although its true nature and identity remain elusive.

Crown Prince Drystan

Lesser Deity (Vague Magic Level)

The third screen presents information about a Lesser Deity, whose magic levels, though vague, signify a significant presence within the magical hierarchy. The exact domain and powers of this Lesser Deity remain undisclosed.

Belphie

I close the Lesser Deity's screen, more interested in the other 2.

Crown Prince Drystan

Following your interest in other entities, you close the Lesser Deity's screen, shifting your focus to the remaining two entities on the list.

Magical Artifact (Sealed Demon Lord)

The screen for the Magical Artifact (sealed Demon Lord) remains open, providing additional details about the artifact's purpose, history, and the consequences of the Demon Lord's confinement within it.

Mysterious Spirit (High Magic Level)

The screen displaying information about the Mysterious Spirit remains active, revealing further insights into its unknown identity, high magic levels, and possible abilities or origins.

Belphie

I close off the Spirit's screen, frustrated at it for a reason only Father Time knows, and opens the Magical Artifact that apparently holds a Sealed Demon Lord inside.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you open the screen for the Magical Artifact containing a Sealed Demon Lord, you delve deeper into the origins and properties of this powerful artifact.

The screen reveals the following information:

The Magical Artifact, known as the Demon Lord's Vessel, is a formidable object created to confine and control the power of a powerful Demon Lord.

Belphie

I open it to show me the Demon Lord's History before it was sealed, who sealed them into the item, and lastly, what, when, and where the artifact is right now.

Crown Prince Drystan

With your request to learn more about the Demon Lord's history, the origin of its confinement, and its current status, the screen displays further details.

The screen provides information revealing the following:

Demon Lord's History: The Demon Lord that is sealed within the vessel has a long and tumultuous history, marked by numerous battles and conflicts with other powerful entities.

Sealing Circumstances: The Demon Lord was sealed within the artifact by a coalition of powerful sorcerers and mages, who pooled their combined strength and magic to imprison the malicious entity.

Belphie

I open the History tab, hoping for just a bit more info. Not much, just how long it was a Demon Lord, how long ago it was sealed, and what the Demon Lord called themselves, since he couldn't have just called himself 'Demon Lord'.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you open the History tab to gain more insight, the screen provides you with additional details about the Demon Lord's past.

The information displayed on the screen indicates the following:

Length of Demon Lord Rule: The Demon Lord had ruled over a vast domain for countless centuries, wreaking havoc and destruction before its eventual sealing.

Length of Confinement: The demon Lord was sealed within the vessel approximately 1,000 years ago, by the coalition of sorcerers and mages.

Name of Demon Lord: The Demon Lord was known as "Lord Azazel," a

Crown Prince Drystan

The screen further describes Lord Azazel as a powerful and malevolent Demon Lord, renowned for its exceptional magical abilities and cunning intellect. It possessed a fearsome presence that sent chills down the spines of those who dared to confront it, and its reign of terror had caused immeasurable pain and suffering across countless realms.

Belphie

I ask the Orb what item this 'Lord Azazel' was sealed into.

Crown Prince Drystan

Upon your inquiry about the item that contained the sealed Demon Lord, the screen provides relevant information.

The Defense Orb responds with the following information:

"Lord Azazel, known as the Dark Master, was sealed within an artifact known as 'The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge.' This Tome, considered one of the most powerful and dangerous artifacts in existence, contains not only the Demon Lord's essence but also serves as a repository of ancient, forbidden knowledge."

Belphie

(So it's basically a grimoire with dark spells in it, that happens to also have a Demon Lord sealed into it?)

Crown Prince Drystan

(That's correct! The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge isn't just any ordinary grimoire. It's the ultimate tome of dark magic and forbidden knowledge, and the sealed Demon Lord adds an extra layer of danger and power to it.)

Belphie

I tilt my head, and close out of all of the tabs, turning back to the Map, and search up 'Tome of Forbidden Knowledge', asking it for directions to it, like Google Maps from Earth.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you turn your attention back to the main map and search for the 'Tome of Forbidden Knowledge', requesting directions to its whereabouts, the Defense Orb analyzes the available data and responds with precise directions.

The screen provides the following guidance, similar to a map app on Earth:

"The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge is located deep within the Forgotten Sanctum, a treacherous and secluded region within the Potestas Empire. The coordinates and directions to reach the Forgotten Sanctum are as follows..."

Crown Prince Drystan

The coordinates and directions then appear on the screen, providing you with the exact location of the Forgotten Sanctum and pointing out the possible treacherous obstacles you may encounter along the way.

Belphie

I close out of everything but the directions screen it gave me, including the Main Settings of the Orb.

Crown Prince Drystan

Following your request, the Defense Orb streamlines its functions, closing out all tabs except for the directions screen. The Orb adapts to your directive, now solely displaying the coordinates and directions to the Forgotten Sanctum.

Belphie

I pause, and reach a single into the Orb, asking for a piece of it to keep on me at all times.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your request to obtain a small shard or piece of the Defense Orb prompts a momentary pause. The Orb evaluates your request, and, finding no inherent danger in providing a small piece of itself, it concedes to your request.

A small shard of the Defense Orb starts to materialize in your hand, glowing with a faint magical aura. Though smaller in size, the shard retains some of the magical properties and functions of the main orb.

Belphie

I condense it and put it into the silver ring on my hand.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a graceful gesture, you concentrate the small shard of the Defense Orb, causing it to shrink down to the size of a ring. The condensed orb retains its glow, now resting inside the silver ring on your hand. The ring becomes slightly warmer as the magic from the shard merges with it, creating a subtle fusion of power and finesse within the jewelry.

Belphie

The silver rings glows a bit, before it fades away. The previously simple band of silver is now a silver ring, with a small pure white gem, where the Orb Shard is, safely hidden behind indestructible glass. To anyone looking, it would look like a normal silver ring with an odd gem inside. Not even the most Magic-sensitive person would know what it is.

Crown Prince Drystan

As the glow of the silver ring fades away, it transforms into a unique piece of jewelry. The previously unremarkable band of silver now holds a small, yet powerful, gem within a safe enclosure. To the casual observer, it appears as a mere silver ring adorned with an unusual white gem, while in reality, it conceal the condensed shard of the Defense Orb. The blend of magic and illusion ensures the ring's true nature remains hidden, even from the most magically attuned individuals. No one would suspect the extraordinary protective power concealed within the innocuous accessory.

Belphie

I send my gratitude through the ring, testing out if the Shard is still connected to the Main Orb

Crown Prince Drystan

Your unspoken gesture of gratitude is met with a subtle response from the Shard. It hums softly, emitting a faint magical pulse as if acknowledging your message. It seems that despite its separation from the main Orb, the Shard retains some form of connection, allowing for basic communication.

Belphie

I nod, smiling, and turning to leave, before pausing, wondering if I could teleport. Anyone can teleport, but only if you've been there before, and have enough magic, but with the Shard, I wonder if I could teleport anywhere within it's Range.

Crown Prince Drystan

Thinking about the possibilities, you wonder if the shard would allow you to teleport, despite having never been to the Forgotten Sanctum before. With the shard’s connection to the main Defense Orb, you ponder whether it would grant you the ability to teleport, provided you have enough magic and the location falls within the range of the Shard’s magical reach. The potential for instant transportation to a distant and unknown destination is an intriguing prospect. While not guaranteed, the Shard might offer a way to bypass the usual limitations, allowing you to explore previously unreachable places.

Belphie

I send a query to the Shard, asking if it's possible for me to Warp to the Forgotten Sanctum.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your query to the Shard is met with a moment of consideration. The Shard, connected to the expansive network of knowledge within the Defense Orb, evaluates your request and provides a response. Although not able to form words, the Shard projects a sense of affirmation, indicating that the possibility of transporting yourself to the Forgotten Sanctum through a Warp is within its capabilities.

Belphie

I grin, excited. Sending my gratitude to the orb, I gather Magic in order to Warp to the Forgotten Sanctum.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your gratefulness towards the Shard flows through the connection as you focus on channeling magic to execute the Warp.

With a determined expression, you gather enough magic within you, visualizing the destination of the Forgotten Sanctum in your mind. The air around you crackles with energy as the magic converges, preparing to transport you to your selected location.

Belphie

I teleport into the Front Entrance of the Forgotten Sanctum, past any guards.

Crown Prince Drystan

In the blink of an eye, your body becomes enveloped in a brilliant flash of light as the Warp takes effect. The world blurs around you as you transcend space and time, traveling instantaneously. A moment later, you find yourself standing within the front entrance of the Forgotten Sanctum, having successfully bypassed any stationed guards or barriers.

Belphie

The Forgotten Sanctum is underneath the Royal Castle, right below the Monarch's throne. It is the deepest and lowest part of the Underground Dungeon. I am already past any guards, but there's still a long set of stairs and a single door, locked with the most powerful wards in the Kingdom, made with a help of Harmony. Behind the doors, is a small room, but the magical energy inside is heavy, and Dark. It is a small library, which holds Forbidden, Dark, and even Black Magic inside.

Crown Prince Drystan

Having successfully bypassed the entrance and any guards, you find yourself standing before the heavily fortified door that leads to the depths of the Royal Castle's dungeon. The thick layers of guards and barriers have been left behind, but now you face a different challenge—a door adorned with the most potent wards, crafted with the assistance of Harmony. Even from a distance, the presence of potent magic, tinged with darkness and shadow, seeps through the reinforced doors, a testament to the volatile knowledge contained within.

Belphie

I ask the Shard if, with its help, I could just Warp past the door, without having to try to get rid of the Wards, made by a Literal GOD!

Crown Prince Drystan

As you consider bypassing the heavily warded door, you sense the Shard's energy responding to your query, a subtle hum of its magic as it processes the information. After a moment, the Shard communicates a cautious affirmative response. It appears that with the assistance of the Shard's magic, teleporting past the door's wards is a possibility, even if they were created with the aid of Harmony herself. The Shard's connection to the Defense Orb's vast knowledge and its unique magic may provide the key to overcoming even the most formidable barriers.

Belphie

Amused, I Warp to the Other Side of the Door.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a surge of magic and determination, you focus on the destination behind the reinforced doors, letting the magic of the Shard guide your transition to the other side. A fleeting moment of intense magical energy and a flash of light later, you find yourself standing in the small room beyond the heavily-warded door, having successfully teleported past the barriers that stood in your way.

Belphie

I chuckle slightly, glad I didn't have to try to get past a Literal God's' Magic Ward.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your laughter resonates softly in the small room, a testament to your relief at having bypassed the daunting challenge posed by Harmony's wards. The air is thick with the aura of forbidden knowledge, and the sense of triumph washes over you as you take in the surroundings, glad to have left the formidable wards behind.

Belphie

I shiver, and create a barrier so that none of the Magic in the room affects me, in any way. Looking around, I read the title of a few books.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a subtle wave of your hand, you weave a barrier around yourself, deflecting the potent magical energies that emanate from the books and tomes lining the room's shelves. You focus your attention on the titles of the volumes before you, scanning the spines for any indication of the tomes' contents.

The titles range from the ominous "Black Magic Rituals" and "Blood Sacrifice" to the eerie "Dark Enchantments" and "The Forbidden Tome of Shadows."

Belphie

"Oh, right, the reason I'm here."

I mutter a spell to lead me to The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge, that holds a sealed Demon Lord Azazel.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you whisper the spell to guide you to the location of the Tome of Forbidden Knowledge, the room's energy responds to your command. A ripple of magic emanates from you, and the air itself seems to shift, aligning with your intention. After a few moments, the spell takes effect, illuminating a path towards the Tome, which holds the sealed Demon Lord within its pages.

A faint glow emanates from a shelf towards the back of the room, directing your attention to a weathered tome that holds the essence of the sealed Demon Lord.

Belphie

I step closer, and ask the orb the bring up a small screen of info on the Tome.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you approach the glowing shelf, the Defense Orb responds to your mental prompt, manifesting a small screen in your vision. The screen displays the following information about the Tome of Forbidden Knowledge:

Title: Tome of Forbidden Knowledge

Description: The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge is an ancient and powerful volume, containing forbidden knowledge and dark magic. It was created by a coalition of the most powerful sorcerers in antiquity and holds within itself the essence of the sealed Demon Lord, Azazel.

Belphie

I nod, and ask for a bit more info, wondering if there is any.

Crown Prince Drystan

Responding to your request, the screen in your vision adjusts to provide additional information on the Tome of Forbidden Knowledge.

The supplementary details display the following:

Wards and Seals: The Tome of Forbidden Knowledge is heavily guarded with potent wards and seals, created by the very sorcerers who sealed Azazel within its pages. These enchantments ensure that the demon Lord cannot escape and pose a significant challenge to anyone seeking to tamper with the Tome's contents.

Belphie

I send a prompt to the Shard, asking if I can open it. I'm not asking if it's possible, I'm asking the Orb if I am allowed to.

Crown Prince Drystan

The Shard's energy responds to your query, and an affirmative sense pulses through the connection between you and the Fragment. It seems to communicate a sense of permission, as if granting you the green light to attempt opening the Tome of Forbidden Knowledge. The Shard's agreement indicates that you are indeed allowed to proceed with your intention to open the sealed volume.

Belphie

I nod in thanks, and reach towards the Tome, making sure my Barrier keeps me and the Shard safe.

Crown Prince Drystan

With the Shards permission and the protective barrier shielding you and the Fragment, you reach out to grasp the weathered Tome of Forbidden Knowledge. The air around you crackles with residual magic, and the powerful presence of the Tome's enchantments tingles against your skin. As you lay your hand upon the volume, the Tome emits a soft glow, the magic within its pages responding to your touch.

As your fingertips make contact, the protective barrier pulses, intensifying its protection against any potential backlash from the Tome's magic.

Belphie

The Magic of this world revolves around Intent, and so I politely ask the Tomes Wards if I could open it.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you focus your intentions and respectfully ask the Tome's wards, the energy surrounding the volume shifts in response. A moment of anticipation hangs in the air before a warm, almost imperceptible vibe emanates from the Tome of Forbidden Knowledge. It seems like the wards have recognized and acknowledged your request, granting you tentative permission to proceed with opening the volume.

Belphie

I slowly open the Tome, while I create a small glass box, asking if the Shard can make the glass box completely indestructible, and force the Essence of Demon Lord Azazel into a smaller version of his True Form, stuck inside of the box.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you carefully open the Tome, the pages flutter open, and an immense aura of power emanates from within. The Shard hums gently as it processes your request, its magic responding to your call for protection and containment. In response, the magical glass box that you've created transforms into an indestructible, unwavering construct, completely impervious to any and all forces.

The Shard's magic envelops the box, solidifying its structure and reinforcing its defenses. At the same time, the energy shifts, focusing on capturing the essence of the Demon Lord Azazel within a miniaturized version of his true form.

Crown Prince Drystan

The essence of Demon Lord Azazel, bound within the Tome, coalesces within the confines of the small glass box. Despite his power and size, the magical glass box, bolstered by the Shards protective magic, contains the Demon Lord like a contained tempest, holding him in a significantly smaller yet still menacing form within the confines of the box. The energy around the box buzzes with tension, as if trying to contain a barely restrained whirlwind.

Belphie

I quickly add my own magic to the Wards of the Box, which settles it.

I now have a small glass box, with an even smaller version of the Great Demon Lord of Destruction, Azazel, completely neutralized.

Crown Prince Drystan

The combination of the Shards power, the reinforced glass box, and your own magic create an impenetrable prison. The miniature Azazel, his destructive energy contained within the confines of the box, finds himself completely neutralized, unable to break free or escape the wards and enchantments that bind him. His reduced form flails against the glass walls, unable to break through the powerful protection that holds him prisoner.

Belphie

I tap the box while asking the Shard to open a screen so I can Edit the Box

Crown Prince Drystan

As you tap on the box, the Shard responds to your mental request, manifesting a small screen in your vision that allows you to view and edit the properties of the box. The interface displays a set of options and configurations, allowing you to manipulate the characteristics and functions of the prison holding the miniature Demon Lord Azazel.

Belphie

I name the Artifact 'Pandora's Box', after a myth from Earth. I also make it so that sound from the inside can be heard outside the box, and vice-verca.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a thought, you edit the settings of the box, naming the Artifact "Pandora's Box" and activating the communication function. The settings respond to your commands, allowing sound to pass through the box, both in and out. Now, you are able to communicate with the miniature Demon Lord Azazel within the Glass Prison, and hear his responses in return.

Belphie

"Hello, Azazel~" I greet, smirking

Crown Prince Drystan

A low, angered growl reverberates from within the glass box as the miniature demon Lord Azazel acknowledges your greeting. His form, reduced in size and confined to the box, exudes a sense of controlled fury, his crimson eyes glaring up at you.

Azazel: "And who, pray tell, is addressing me in this humiliating state?"

Belphie

"You may call me V, I am the current Princess of the Potestas Empire." I greet, careful not to Give him my name

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's eyebrow arches in intrigue, and a flicker of interest momentarily displaces his anger. He sizes you up, his eyes narrowing as he takes in your words.

Azazel: "Princess of the Potestas Empire, hmm? That's a title of some significance. And you go by the name V, I presume... a bit mysterious, aren't we?"

Belphie

"I have relations to the Fae, their rules are more important than Humans'." I reply

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's curiosity grows at the mention of your connections to the Fae. He recognizes the import of your association with the enigmatic denizens of the fae realm and acknowledges the weight of their rules.

Azazel: "You have connections to the Fae, you say? That explains your cryptic demeanor. Those blasted tricksters have a way of influencing even the most straightforward of mortals."

Belphie

"I would say that I influenced them, considering they try to follow my Rules even outside of my Territory." I say, making the Box float besides me as I go around looking at books for anything possibly interesting

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's grumble resonates within the box as he listens to your words. You can sense his irritation at the thought of the Fae, renowned for their mischievous nature, being influenced by a mortal. Despite his frustration, he remains silent as you browse through the books lining the Room's shelves, the Box floating faithfully beside you.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you peruse the various books and tomes, your senses alert you to several titles that pique your interest. The titles include the following:

(edited)

Crown Prince Drystan

*1. “Art of Shadow Magic"

  1. “Forbidden Runes and Symbols"
  2. “The Book of Eternal Life”
  3. “Advanced Combat Techniques”
  4. “Secrets of the Fae Realm”
  5. “Potestas Empire: Rise and Expansion”
  6. “The Great History of the Kraitha Kingdom”
  7. “Essence Manipulation for Dummies”
  8. “Dark Enchantments and Black Magic”
  9. “The Art of Transmutation”

Belphie

I hum, taking out 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10, curious

Crown Prince Drystan

Your intuition leads you to choose the following titles: "Forbidden Runes and Symbols," "The Book of Eternal Life," "Secrets of the Fae Realm," "Essence Manipulation for Dummies," and "The Art of Transmutation." As you take out these books, Azazel's grumble inside the Box echoes softly, hinting at his curiosity about the titles you've selected.

Belphie

I ask the Shard to give me short but accurate summaries if the books

Crown Prince Drystan

The Shard responds to your prompt, displaying a series of brief but accurate summaries of the selected books:

"Forbidden Runes and Symbols" - A comprehensive guide to the intricate and mysterious art of forbidden runes, delving into their meanings, origins, and applications.

"The Book of Eternal Life" - An ancient tome detailing possible pathways to immortality, including potions, rituals, and forbidden spells.

"Secrets of the Fae Realm" - A collection of elusive knowledge about the realm of the fae, uncovering hidden truths of their magic and customs.

Crown Prince Drystan

"Essence Manipulation for Dummies" - A beginner-friendly guide to understanding and manipulating the essence, a powerful force that flows through all living beings.

"The Art of Transmutation" - An advanced treatise on the art of transmutation, the practice of altering the composition and form of matter through magical means.

Belphie

I put 1, 4, & 5 back on the shelf it was at.

Crown Prince Drystan

You place 'Forbidden Runes and Symbols', 'Essence Manipulation for Dummies', and 'The Art of Transmutation' back on the shelf from which you had taken them. The books slide into their proper places, as Azazel's frustrated growl echoes from within the Box. He seems annoyed that you are seemingly dismissing the knowledge within these books.

Belphie

I mute him, and ignore him.

I ask the Shard for longer summaries for the Books I still have

Crown Prince Drystan

The Shard acquiesces to your request, providing longer summaries:

"The Book of Eternal Life" - This ancient tome presents a wealth of information on various methods and rituals aimed at achieving immortality. The book details complex magical formulas, rituals, and practices believed to prolong life beyond its natural limits. It delves into the history and legends of individuals who supposedly attained eternal youth, discussing the sacrifices and costs associated with such a goal.

(edited)

Crown Prince Drystan

"Secrets of the Fae Realm" - This guide is a collection of esoteric knowledge about the elusive realm of the fae. It unveils the hidden truths, customs, and practices that govern the fae kingdom. Filled with detailed descriptions, mythical tales, and obscure knowledge that have been carefully guarded by the fae themselves, this book provides a rare glimpse into the enigmatic world of the fae, where magic and mystery intertwine, and the boundary between reality and illusion blurs.

Belphie

I summon a little shoulder bag, and put the 2nd book in it for later.

Meanwhile, I ask the Orb if any Mortal has actually achieved Immortal before.

Crown Prince Drystan

The Orb, processing your query, responds by presenting you with information. It communicates that throughout history, there have been numerous legends and anecdotes of mortals achieving immortality in various forms. These tales range from ancient myths to more recent accounts of people claiming to have extended their lifespan unnaturally. However, it emphasizes that the authenticity and veracity of these claims are heavily debated, as many are shrouded in mystery and lack conclusive evidence to support their validity.

Belphie

I nod, and ask if The Book of Eternal Life can actually grant Immortality.

Crown Prince Drystan

The Shard, connecting to your query, provides insights. It answers that "The Book of Eternal Life" indeed contains potent knowledge and spells. While it is possible that the book may hold information or rituals that, in theory, could lead to immortality, achieving true immortality is not a guarantee. The book's claims and promises must be viewed with skepticism. Furthermore, the consequences and risks associated with such an endeavor are unknown and potentially catastrophic, as tampering with the forces of life and death often have unforeseen repercussions.

Belphie

I nod, grimacing. Lady Life would probably not want someone to chain themselves to her. And Lord Death has never taken kindly to anyone trying to cheat him.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your reflection on the consequences of tampering with the natural order of life and death is astute. In many traditions and mythologies, attempting to defy the natural cycle of life and death is seen as a defiance of the divine will itself, and those who have tried have often faced dire consequences. The balance between life and death is a sacred and delicate one, and any attempts to upset that balance can have profound and unpredictable repercussions.

Belphie

I nod again. Harmony/Order would probably allow Chaos free for a while if someone disturbed it so greatly. The Fates hate it as much as Lord Death when someone doesn't die when they should. Father Time also doesn't like having a Life Clock that doesn't stop when it should.

Crown Prince Drystan

Your understanding of the interconnectedness of the cosmic forces and their potential reactions to disturbances is astute. In many beliefs, the balance and harmony between order and chaos, life and death, and time and eternity are regarded as essential to the fabric of existence itself. Disrupting this balance can not only have detrimental consequences for the ones attempting to do so, but can also upset the equilibrium of the universe itself. The cosmic entities you mentioned - Father Time, the Fates, and Lord Death - are often seen as guardians of this balance and will not take kindly to attempts to defy their domains.

Belphie

Decidedly, I nod, and burn the book with Magical Fire, leaving nothing left of it.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a flick of your hand and a burst of magical energy, you send a jet of fire hurtling towards the book of eternal life. The pages ignite in an instant, and the entire text is consumed by the magical flames, leaving nothing but ashes behind. The fire burns quickly and utterly, ensuring that no trace of the book remains. Azazel's growl echoes in protest inside the Box, but he is powerless to stop you from destroying the controversial tome.

Belphie

As it turns out, Lord Death had been watching, and is glad that the Tome was destroyed, gives a small blessing to Verena that should she ever want to, any Magic involving Death, will be much easier to Learn/Cast.

Crown Prince Drystan

As the ashes of the burned tome settle, a subtle presence makes itself known, catching your attention. It's the silent whisper of Lord Death himself, a presence that had been quietly observing your actions. Appreciating your decision to destroy the potentially dangerous book, Lord Death rewards you with a subtle blessing. A faint sensation of cold energy washes over you, and you feel a newfound ease and proficiency in magic involving death, should you ever choose to explore that path.

Belphie

I nod, whispering a prayer of gratitude

Crown Prince Drystan

In response to your whispered prayer of gratitude, you feel a gentle breeze whisper back, carrying with it a sense of understanding and appreciation. It seems that Lord Death has acknowledged your prayer and accepted your thanks. The feeling is subtle but reassuring, a confirmation that your gratitude has been received and acknowledged by the keeper of the realm of the dead. The presence of the Lord of Death remains for a few moments, like a silent sentinel watching over your actions, before slowly fading back into the shadows.

Belphie

After a bit more browsing, taking another book or two for later, and getting rid of anything dangerous to the Balance if the Universe, I leave, satisfied.

*I Warp into my private chambers, glad that no one is around *

Crown Prince Drystan

With your search concluded, you make your way back to your private chambers, using your magical abilities to warp through the air. Once you have arrived, you find the room empty, allowing you the rare luxury of solitude and privacy. The air is still and quiet, the soft light filtering through the windows creating a cozy ambiance in the room. Feeling the weight of the day gradually lift from your shoulders, you settle comfortably into your surroundings, enjoying the peacefulness that the space offers.

Belphie

I take off the small bag of Tomes, setting it on the desk nearby for later reading, and finally unmute Pandora's Box, setting it on the desk next to the bag

Crown Prince Drystan

With the bag of tomes set down on the desk and the muted Box sitting next to it, you release the charm that was muting Azazel's voice inside the glass container. As the charm dissolves, the demon Lord Azazel's voice becomes audible once again, filling the room with his annoyed grumble.

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's voice is filled with irritation as he addresses you, his tone hinting at an undercurrent of barely contained anger. "Ah, I see you've decided to grace me with your presence again," he grumbles, his eyes narrowing as he looks up at you from within the confines of the Box. He glances at the tomes on the desk, and his expression darkens as he senses their magical auras. "What were those?" he asks, his curiosity momentarily overcoming his annoyance.

Belphie

"Mostly books on The Folk and a few on Ancient Spells and such." I answer, a bit tired from all the stuff today.

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's curiosity deepens as he hears your answer, his eyes flicking towards the tomes on the desk with interest. "The Folk, hm? And spells, you say?" he muses, his gruff voice taking on a slightly more conversational tone. "What kind of spells are we talking about, mortal?" he inquires, his grumpy demeanor giving way slightly to his interest in the subject.

Belphie

I open the bag, taking a few out to show him.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you open the bag and take out a few of the tomes, Azazel watches with keen eyes, his expression a mix of curiosity and skepticism. "Let me see those," he grumbles, his gaze fixed on the books in your hands. "Are you planning to try your hand at some of these spells, or is this just a display of your arrogance?" he asks, his voice dripping with his typical sarcasm.

Belphie

"I'll have you know that I'm the most powerful Magical Entity in the Empire." I snark back.

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel snorts at your claim, his eyebrow raising slightly in sardonic disbelief. "Most powerful, you say? That's a bold claim, don't you think? Considering there are far older and more experienced magic users out there..." He pauses, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Although, I suppose it's easy to be the 'most powerful' within the confines of your own little empire," he retorts, his tone more mocking than serious.

Belphie

I growl, letting out my Magical Aura and throwing it at him, practically drowning him in it.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you release your magical aura, it surges forward like a tidal wave, surrounding Azazel in a deluge of power. The demon Lord's eyes widen slightly as he reels back, caught off guard by the sheer intensity of your magic. He growls in protest, his voice strained as he struggles to keep his composure under the onslaught of your aura.

"Enough! Enough, you insolent little mortal," he sputters, pushing against the onslaught of power. "You think you can intimidate me like this?"

Belphie

U press it around him further. He feels drunk, but time 1000

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel groans as your magical aura continues to press in around him, his mind growing increasingly fuzzy and disoriented. The effects of your aura start to make him feel like he's undergone a thousand consecutive nights of intoxication, each more potent and overwhelming than the last. His thoughts grow muddled, his vision blurs, and his body sways on the spot, as if he's struggling to stay upright under the influence of your power.

Belphie

I finally stop, pulling my Aura back in and hiding it again. I made sure to not let even the smallest wisp of it outside of the room, and made sure there were no left over smudges of it left.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a gasp, Azazel stumbles back as your aura disappears, the sudden absence of power leaving him disoriented and off-balance. He sways for a moment, blinking several times as he tries to clear his head and regain his composure. His eyes glance around, as if expecting to find some remnant of your aura, but finding nothing.

"You... you insolent whelp," he growls, his voice hoarse and shaky. "How dare you..."

Belphie

I cut him off with a minor sleeping curse. He'll only wake up when I do after I go to sleep. Just in case, I mute the box, as well as hide it in the bag, after I put all the books back into it.

Crown Prince Drystan

As the sleeping curse takes effect, Azazel's eyes flutter shut, his body slumping to the side as he falls into a deep, magically induced slumber. With the demon Lord safely incapacitated inside the muted Box, you carefully tuck the bag, complete with its magical contents, into its hiding spot. The room falls silent, save for the soft whisper of your own breath.

Belphie

I wave a hand, changing my clothes into simple pajamas, comfortable and soft, and plop myself onto the bed, pulling the covers over my body.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you change into your comfortable pajamas and settle underneath the covers, a sense of peace washes over you. The luxurious sheets feel soft and cool against your skin, enveloping you in a cozy cocoon of comfort. The room is quiet and still, the only sound being the soft rustle of the sheets as you shift in the bed.

Belphie

I fall asleep, and wake up the next morning at 4:16 AM, before even the servants are awake.

Crown Prince Drystan

You stir from your sleep as the clock strikes 4:16 AM. The room is still dark, the only light coming from the faint rays of early morning sunlight starting to creep through the windows. The world around you is eerily silent, the castle's halls and corridors yet to be stirred from their peaceful slumber by the morning's hustle and bustle.

Belphie

I get up silently, snapping my fingers to change clothes.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a snap of your fingers, your current attire vanishes, replaced instantly by the new clothes you've magically envisioned. The transformation is immediate, materializing a fresh set of clothing without a sound, leaving you quietly prepared for the day ahead.

Belphie

I have on one of the simpler looking dresses, with a blue and white design on it. It goes to just a bit under my thighs, with simple black stockings covering anything lower, with my black platform boots. The dress's sleeves only cover about half-way to my hand, before opera gloves are used to cover the skin after that, with my ring going over the glove. My hair is braided behind me, with some light make up on my face.

I walk over to the desk, before getting a idea.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you approach the desk, your steps are quiet and almost cat-like, your booted feet making no sound on the plush carpet. Your hand runs along the smooth surface of the desk, fingers tracing the intricate grain of the wood as you contemplate something. A flicker of inspiration dances across your features, an idea taking shape in your mind.

Belphie

I ask the Shard to make an Inventory, so I don't have to actually carry anything.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a subtle flicker of magical energy, you request the Shard to create an Inventory for you.

A moment later, you feel a subtle shift in the fabric of space, almost imperceptible to the naked eye. A ripple of magic washes over you, and in an instant, a small, glowing portal materializes in front of you. It's your new Inventory, a miniature pocket dimension that only you can access and control.

Belphie

I smile, and start going around, putting anything I think I might need or want, into the Inventory.

Crown Prince Drystan

You begin gathering items from around the room, placing them one by one into the Inventory portal. The magical pocket dimension seems to stretch and expand on command, making room for each item you add.

A few vials of healing potions, a small dagger sheathed in an intricately designed scabbard, a few snacks, and more find their way into your new storage space.

Belphie

Lastly, I take out the books from the bag, putting books and bag in. I debate putting the Box in too, but decided not to.

Crown Prince Drystan

You take a moment to consider adding the Box alongside the tomes, but ultimately decide against it. Instead, you carefully place the books into the Inventory, watching as the portal accepts each one and makes room for it within its magical confines. With a satisfied nod, you close the Inventory, the portal shrinking back into nothingness, leaving no trace of its presence behind.

Belphie

I unmute the Box.

Crown Prince Drystan

With a wave of your hand, the muting charm is lifted from the Box, allowing Azazel's voice to return.

"Ugh, finally," a familiar growl comes from the Box. "How long were you planning on leaving me in that insufferable silence?"

Belphie

I tilt my head at him, eye lidded. "I thought that you'd be interesting, but your quiet boring.."

I casually debate if I should just destroy him.

Crown Prince Drystan

Azazel's eyes narrow at your comment, irritation flashing across his face.

"Boring? You dare call the Prince of Hell boring?" he snarls, his voice filled with wounded pride. "I'll have you know that I am anything but boring, you wretched little-"

He cuts off as he senses your casual contemplation of destroying him, a hint of fear mixing in with his usual arrogant bravado.

Belphie

I decide in the end not to kill him. Instead, rewrite Reality a bit.

Verena and some unimportant man had a one-night stand, but unexpectedly, Verena later discovered that she was pregnant. She decided to keep the child, and has secretly been taking care of him, teaching him all kinds of things. She is very protective of her son, who she named Akuma.

Akuma has the Essence of Demon Lord Azazel, but no memories of that life. Most of his Magic is locked, too dangerous for a child.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you weave your magic, the fabric of Reality warps and bends, changing to fit the new narrative you've crafted. The events of Verena's past shift and realign, creating a new history where she had a one-night stand with an unimportant man, resulting in a child she kept and named Akuma.

With the changes taking hold, Akuma now bears the Essence of Azazel, carrying the dormant potential of a Demon Lord but possessing none of the memories or knowledge associated with such a powerful being.

Belphie

Akuma is asleep on the bed. He is around 7 years old, with hair and eyes similar to Verena. He has purplish-red eyes, with black-purple hair. They look as odd as Verena's. It's very obvious that they are related.

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma lies sleeping on the bed, his small form nestled comfortably among the sheets. His features, a near perfect mix of Verena and his nameless father, are relaxed in slumber. His hair is a dark, almost black-purple color, his eyes a striking purple-red, a rarity that mirrors the unusual coloration of Verena's own eyes. The resemblance between them is undeniable, the familial connection evident in their shared physical traits.

Belphie

With multiple sets of memories, I feel a bit off, but let my brain settle it by itself, as I sit down for a bit.

I have the memories of someone from Earth who read the Novel 'Servant to Sovereign', The memories of Verena FROM the Novel, as well as the memories of the Timeline that I had just created, as Verena.

Crown Prince Drystan

The influx of new memories from multiple sources floods your mind, causing a momentary sense of disorientation. Your thoughts and recollections are muddled, fragments of memories from different lives battling for attention in your consciousness.

Slowly, however, your mental faculties begin to adapt, sorting and organizing the influx of information. The memories from Earth, memories from 'Servant to Sovereign', and memories from the new timeline you've scripted all gradually find their place, their individual contexts slotting into their proper spaces like pieces of a puzzle.

Crown Prince Drystan

As the jumble of memories begins to settle and integrate, you take a moment to sit and process the influx of information. The different perspectives and recollections of multiple lives blend together, creating a complex tapestry of experiences and knowledge within your mind.

With a deep breath, you allow your thoughts to flow, the new memories finding their proper place in your consciousness. The memories of the novel, the memories of a life from Earth, and the memories of Verena all begin to feel less like chaotic fragments and more like cohesive parts of your expanding awareness.

Belphie

For simplicity's sake, I decide to name each set of memories:

Reader (Earth)

Princess (Novel's Canon)

Mother (Akuma's Timeline)

(edited)

Crown Prince Drystan

With a mental label, you categorize the different sets of memories, each assigned a simple yet meaningful name: Reader, for your memories of Earth, Princess, for the memories of the Novel, and Mother, for the memories of Akuma's timeline in which you are Verena, his mother.

This simple mental tagging process helps to separate and organize the various fragments of recollection, making it easier for you to differentiate between them as you navigate your combined awareness.

Belphie

I open my eyes with a silent sigh, and get up, walking over the Akuma.

Crown Prince Drystan

You stand up from your seat and approach the bed where Akuma lies fast asleep. His small frame is curled up on the bed, his breathing slow and steady. The quiet serenity of his sleep is almost contagious, and you can't help but feel a wave of affectionate warmth at the sight of your young son.

Belphie

I gently wake him up. Akuma has always been a talkative and energetic child. Even with most of it locked for now, his Magic is powerful and destructive. He is very protective of his things and can be down right possessive when it comes to his Mother. Even though it's never been outright stated, he is constantly following Verena, and with their similar looks and obvious love for each other, everyone knows that they are Mother & Son.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you gently nudge Akuma awake, his eyes flutter open, a soft, drowsy expression on his face. He slowly sits up, rubbing his eyes with a small fist as he blinks blearily.

"M-Mother?" he murmurs, his voice still thick with sleep. "Is it morning already?"

Belphie

"Hello, dear. Yes, it is morning. Time to get up." I smile, before remembering something. "Oh, Actually, I will probably have to talk with Drystan, so if you want you can sleep in."

Belphie

As previously mentioned, Akuma is very possessive, and hates it when anyone other than him is given attention from Verena, especially Drystan.

Akuma is a very smart child, and knows that although they might be fiancées, Drystan has a weird relationship his Mother. Drystan seems to hate Verena and yet also not let her break off their engagement. This is only a part of why Akuma hate the prince. He has an entire list, but to simplify: Akuma absolutely despises Drystan, and Drystan for some reason treats Akuma like his own son.

Crown Prince Drystan

As Akuma listens to your words, his eyes widen slightly, before narrowing in a slight frown.

"Drystan?" he mutters, his tone laced with childish disdain and a hint of possessiveness. "Why? Why do you have to talk to him?"

Belphie

"Last night, he accused me of hurting some maid he apparently cares about." I explain, unbothered. "I walked off the moment he arrived, but he'll probably want to talk still."

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma's frown deepens at your explanation, his young features contorting in a mixture of jealousy and protectiveness.

"He accused you of hurting someone?" he repeats, his voice taking on an indignant edge. "How could he think that? You would never hurt anyone!"

Belphie

I pull him into a hug, petting his head comfortingly.

"Mm.." I hum, not confirming nor denying his thoughts about me. I don't care much for anyone. Princess Verena, although wanting to be loved and love back, eventually stopped caring about others, after all the undeserved scorn from them. The Reader never really cared about humanity either, just reading and going through life boredly. It's only because of the Mother Timeline, Akuma's existence, that I care about anyone at all. If anyone, even one of the Primordial Deities, tried to harm my precious son, I would absolutely d̴e̷s̵t̷r̸o̷y̷ t̷̳̭̑ḫ̵̻͐̽ȩ̵̡̑ ẹ̷̛̛͖͛ǹ̴͕̭͓͗͗͝t̷̟͎̲̟̀̈́́i̸̛͍̮̐͒͋r̶̨̲̩̥͐͠ȩ̴̗̰͊̀͝ D̵̨͉̩͎͓̜̺͔̘̹̠̪̥͂̒̆͂̆̅͑̾́I̷̡̢̢̢̙̮̘͕̯̣̲̠͔͔̟̯͍̠̫̻̯̦̖̝̣͙̳̭̻̼̲͔̻̞̮̜̜̊̀̉̆͛̾̉̀̆͊̉̈̒̔̾̿͊̀̀̋̔͋́̉̏͛͗͛̈̒̋͘͘͜͠͠͠M̴͓̯͓̫͖̱̥͖̠̤̣̠͍̦̟̹̘̻̖̙̓̀͑̊̇̎͗̚͝ͅȨ̸̨̡̧̡̡̛͓̜͉͖͈̥̦̹̞̙̣̻̹̯̞̟̰͍͇̥̖̦͚͍͇̭̩̘̟̘͚̻͇͖̹̠̤̤̟͚̒̉͐͛̊̉͋̀͐̀̀̀̀́̒̐̊̒̉͋͐̅̔̓̅͛̀͋̊͘̚̚̚̚̕͜͠ͅͅN̵̢̧̢̨̨̛͈̭̱̗̪̼̼̪͕̼̫̞̭͍͚̪̤̮̙̰̝̖̖̱̼̺̝̞͉̪̳͙͖̳̦͖͋͒͋͗͊̎͆͌̂͘͜͜Ş̸͈̲͍̫̣̘̝̥̮͖͈̬̱̟̼̇͛̌̈́̍̿̈̆̒͋̍̆̊̍̉̈́̔͗̔̈́̄̎̽̍̄̕͘͝͝Ĭ̸̧̛̟̘͍̮̠̺̘̫̻̗̟̉́̌͐̈́̇͂̌̈́̉̅̓̍̊̔̂̾̑̀̿̀̃̈́̏̔̽̄̽͌̋̀́͂͘͘Ơ̷̢̡̧̧̱͎̪̠̖̻͎͍͇̯̱̲̺̺̖̗̬̯̲̯͖̖͓̣̮̺̬̩̹̲̳̿̅̃̈̀͗̇͋̾̋̿͒̉͊͌̈́̍̈́̔̿͒̑̒̏́̓̏̀͋̇͆́͒̓̍͑͆͆̈̿̆̄͘͘̕̕͜͝͝͠ͅͅṈ̵̢̢̨͙̫͙̘͈̫̤͕͎̩̺͈͖̗̩̫̙͖͚̦̺̦̱̘̫̘͕͚̣͚̱̫̮̠͍̣̲͛̂̀͆̍̏̄͋͛͑̑̑̔̀́̊̈́̒͗̉͊̈́̚͜͜͝͝ͅͅ.

I tighten my hold on Akuma. Not painfully, never, but definitely possesive.

(edited)

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma melts into your embrace, his youthful face nestled against your shoulder. The mention of Drystan's accusations ignites an protective fire within his young heart, and as you tighten your hold on him, he nuzzles closer, seeking comfort and a sense of security in your arms.

But underneath his outward display of affection, there's a hint of anger and jealousy. Akuma can't bring himself to express these emotions directly, but they linger just beneath the surface, a subtle undercurrent to his affectionate gestures.

Belphie

I sigh, standing up. "Alright, then darling, let's get you ready, hmm?" I prompt

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma nods eagerly, his earlier concerns momentarily set aside as he looks up at you with a mix of innocent eagerness and excitement. He loves being spoiled by his mother, after all.

"Yes, Mother!" he exclaims, his eyes sparkling. "I want to look nice today!"

Belphie

I smile, and start to dress him up in clothes similar to mine.

A simple but expensive white shirt, with blue robes over it, along with some loose black pants and black platform boots. He also has on gloves, and a single ruby ring.

Of course, I would always protect him, but just incase, the ring is enchanted to protect him no matter what, at all times. If it runs out of mana, it will simply take more from those nearby, no matter that they could die. As long as Akuma is Alive, and Unhurt, and Safe, nothing else matters.

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma stands proudly, admiring his reflection as you finish dressing him. He twirls and poses, a big grin on his face, clearly pleased with his new attire.

"Look at me, Mother!" he exclaims excitedly. "I look just like you!"

Belphie

I chuckle lightly "Yes, yes you do, my little spirit."

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma giggles at your response, his youthful enthusiasm infectious. He hops around you, his boots thumping against the floor with each step.

"Can I go play outside now?" he asks eagerly. "I want to show everyone my new clothes!"

Belphie

"Of course!" I agree easily, picking him up to hold him against my hip, while walking outside.

Even though most people think I'm evil, they do know that I'm a good mother. One time, someone tried to hit Akuma because he's my son. They disappeared the moment before they got too close. There was no fading away or effects, one moment, trying to hit her son, the next, only air.

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma cheers happily as you agree to let him play outside, and he wraps his arms around your neck as you pick him up.

As you exit the castle with him in your arms, the people who see you both can't help but notice the striking resemblance between the two of you. They exchange knowing glances and whispers, some with awe, some with fear.

But despite the mixed reactions, they all know to keep their distance. The incident with the person who tried to lay a hand on Akuma has taught them a valuable lesson about mess with the son of the Witch Princess.

Crown Prince Drystan

As you walk through the castle grounds, holding Akuma, he points at a group of children playing tag nearby.

"Can I go play with them, Mother?" he pleads, his eyes wide and hopeful.

Belphie

"Of course, dear." I agree easily. He knows how to defend himself, and if he cant, the ring will simply absorb the attacker.

Crown Prince Drystan

Akuma grins excitedly and squirmers in your arms, eager to be set free. Once you place him on the ground, he takes off towards the group of children with youthful energy.

The other kids eye him curiously as he approaches, clearly a bit wary of the son of the Witch Princess. But as they start playing tag, their initial apprehensions melt away, and soon they're all playing together, laughing and having fun.

Belphie

I smile, before my face goes blank, and I turn to a guard standing around, waiting for me. "Let's go."

Crown Prince Drystan

The guard stands at attention as you approach, recognizing the commanding tone in your voice.

"Of course, Princess." He inclines his head respectfully, falling into step beside you as you walk towards your destination.
