Probie
Official Dinner for the Navy League of the US: MCRT acting as protection detain to Admiral Chapman: Gibbs in front of the man clearing the way. Tony in the back on the left, and Ziva on the right. McGee out by where the car will come out at. All wearing earwigs on Security Tach 2.
As the detail got him to the car, Tim went to the exit to check it out and saw a man leaning into an SUV and called a halt, pulling his weapon, and announcing himself. Getting a flash and the sound of a gun going off. Shooting three times back. While Gibbs was calling out “Security Breach! Go! Go! Go!” And getting the Admiral’s car going out the other exit.
Tony calling the rest of the security to pull the cameras on that alleyway to find out what happened. And all cameras in the areas leading to and from it. As the three of them, and security ran to Tim.
Finding him over a dead body. But the body had no gun.
Gibbs had Tim back up and recreate his movements, while Tony had Ziva check for tire prints, and get photos. He called in the tech bunnies, and Ducky. Then began to check for where the vic./perp’s bullet went along the alley. But first, he took photos and a quick sketch of the site for himself.
He gets word through his earwig, that the security cameras and other cameras picked up the righthanded driver SUV with two men both going into the alley and speeding out of it. And had clear pictures of the two inside of it.
He calls that out with Gibbs telling him to get that out as a warrant and BOLO ASAP. Then help Ziva check for the bullets after she was done.

With word that the SUV was a righthanded driver vehicle, Tony checks the left side of the alley, while Ziva checks the right for the bullets, finding the bullet on Ziva’s side. And that, plus the frontal picture from the cameras is all they needed to bring in the undercover cop’s partner who it seemed was dirty to be tag-teamed questioned by team Gibbs and Tony, while Tim finishes up with the shooting review.
The driver had a warrant out via Interpol and was caught in Lisbon before he made it to Morocco. So was extradited back to the US to stand trial. His vehicle unloaded as well as evidence.

Afterwards, Tony didn’t treat his probie like Gibbs did, he took him out to the shooting range and slowly, over a several weekends, got him back to being comfortable with his weapon. And taught him little tricks to better his shooting. And got him requalified on his gun.
