The Magatama of Guidance

Summary:

“…You see, this magatama, the magatama of guidance, tries to reassure your deepest insecurities! It’ll come to you in a dream, guiding you through your deepest doubts…”

Miles Edgeworth has doubts, fearing that Phoenix will one day leave him. But with the help of an opalescent magatama and the guidance of an older manifestation of himself, Miles is intimately shown the extent of Phoenix’s love.

And maybe, just maybe, with the reassurance of the man he loves, maybe that’s enough.

Monogamous gangbang??? Also a gift for voidify!

Notes:

Sorry I couldn’t make this an actual gangbang and just made it a threesome. I think I’d die if I had to write four people having sex lol. But it was fun to write!!!! Even if I died inside writing it XD.

Anyhow, enjoy!

Work Text:

“…You see, this magatama, the magatama of guidance, tries to reassure your deepest insecurities! It’ll come to you in a dream, guiding you through your deepest doubts…”

Miles distractedly played with the opalescent magatama in his hands, reflecting the colors of the rainbow. Visiting the Wright & Co. Law Offices was always a pleasant experience, talking with Maya as he snuggled up to Phoenix. Phoenix, who was currently at a café buying food, and Maya, who was talking excitedly about a magatama that she thought the Fey Clan had lost. The very same magatama that Miles held, admiring the colorful shiny stone. He was paying attention to neither Maya nor the magatama.

Instead, his mind was focused on Phoenix Wright.

His…boyfriend.

That was still so surreal to him.

Miles loved Phoenix, and Phoenix loved Miles. That much was obvious, with the small genuine smiles that Phoenix gave him, the way they’d cuddle early in the morning, Phoenix laughing at any of Miles’ rare jokes. They were practically inseparable, the two of them hand in hand, against the world. It’s always been the two of them, ever since they were kids, when they met again, after everything that had happened between them. Honestly? Miles wouldn’t have it any other way.

But there were still whispers, seeds of doubt that planted in his mind, threatening to grow and choke out the beauty of the rose bed of their love. Even with all the work he put into pulling out these weeds of doubt, they kept coming back, refusing to ever leave the gardens of his mind. Wondering if Phoenix truly loved him, will continue to love him if he knew how horrible of a person he was, if…if Miles even deserved that love.

But while he pondered those feelings, a frown on his face as he tried to ignore the whispers that never left him alone, he heard…a voice. Soothing voice, neither masculine or feminine, echoing into the caves of his mind. Gentle and kind, like it wanted nothing more than to see the entire world happy.

He loves you.

No, he doesn’t.

He’s always loved you.

…How can you be so sure?

Why are you so afraid to know?

I don’t want to confirm my fears.

Then why don’t you ask?

I’m…I’m scared.

It’s natural to be scared.

I just don’t know if he truly loves me.

Let yourself find out.

Maybe…

“…Edgeworth? Edgeworth! EDGEWORTH!”

Miles was snapped out of his thoughts. “Oh…huh?”

“Were you even listening?” Maya asked with a frown.

“Ah, I…got distracted.”

“By what?”

“It’s…nothing, Ms. Fey…” Miles mumbled to himself.

“Um…alright then.” Maya looked skeptical, but then she grinned. “Oh! But did you see that new Steel Samurai spin off?”

Miles smiled at that. “The Golden Geisha? Yes, I have seen it. I anticipate it immensely, especially since I read the comics beforehand.”

“You have the comics?” Maya asked with a gasp. “Lucky! Can I borrow?”

“No. I’ve seen the way you dogear books.”

Maya laughed.

The two continued to talk, and though Miles tried to pay attention, he could still hear echoes of the voice. It was calming, reassuring him like it was the end of the world, like it was its life mission to make sure he was happy and secure. Miles didn’t understand it. Where did the voice come from? Why was it so preoccupied with him and his love life? And…and what could it possibly mean?

The last words of the voice rang in Miles’ mind, a melody that stuck in his mind.

Let yourself find out.

Find out what?

Does Phoenix really…

Before Miles could stop himself, he spoke up. “Ms. Fey?”

“Yeah?”

He said it now, might as well ask. “Do you think Wright loves me?”

“Aren’t you literally dating?” Maya questioned.

“Ah, that is true.” Miles conceded. “But I still…wonder.”

“Why wouldn’t Nick love you?” Maya asked. “He’s obsessed with you! Like, he became a defense attorney ‘cause of you! Remember?“

“Of course, but sometimes I wonder if…” Miles trailed off, and then shook his head. “Never mind, it’s not of importance.”

Maya raised a brow, but she didn’t say anything.

Just then, the door swung open, revealing Phoenix carrying a few plastic bags of food and drink

“I’m back!” Phoenix announced as he walked into the room, setting the plastic bags on the coffee table. “I got you two burgers, Maya. Gotta satisfy that insatiable appetite of yours.”

“You know me so well, Nick! Thanks!” Maya said with a giggle, grabbing one of the burgers and immediately devouring it.

“And of course! Black Forest cake and some tea for you, Edgeworth.” Phoenix took out a takeout box and a cup of tea, handing it to Miles. “Just like you always order.”

Miles smiled at Phoenix, taking the cake and cup. “Thank you, Wright.”

With Phoenix in the room, the conversation became more animated, Maya and Phoenix arguing over something or another, making affectionate jabs at each other and laughing at the other’s jokes. Miles chimed in occasionally, even making a joke that had the two roaring with laughter.

But that doubt was still in his mind, a doubt that he knew would be with him forever, no matter how much he loathed it.

A singular doubt that flew about in his mind, refusing to leave.

Do you love me, Wright?

Miles knew the sounds of Phoenix’s moans.

He knew the sight of Phoenix, unraveling with every touch on his body. A familiar experience to him, the two becoming one for a single moment. Though, he had never seen himself with Phoenix, or at least…an older version of him. Older face, kinder eyes, glasses that framed his gray eyes. This was him, Miles somehow knew. The part of him that was compassionate, that Miles had yet to unlock, that needed years of experience.

But it was him, all the same. The same man that loved Phoenix with all his heart.

It was surreal, seeing himself nip at Phoenix’s neck, hands caressing all throughout his body. Phoenix was gorgeous, every thread of his body unwinding from every single gentle touch from the older Miles. He wanted nothing more than to touch him, taste him, feel firsthand the love that he had doubted so much.

The older Miles seemed to notice Miles, smiling at the sight of him. “Ah, look who came to join us.”

Phoenix looked up, a small smile making its way to his face as he breathed out. “Edgeworth…you’re finally here…”

“We’ve been waiting for you.” The older Miles said.

“You…have?”

“Yes, we have.” The older Miles beckoned him. “Please, come here.”

And so, Miles came to them.

He ran his fingers through Phoenix’s hair. Soft, like it had always been. Phoenix always made sure to take extra care of his hair, despite his stubborn assistance that his hair spikes were natural. It was almost endearing. As endearing as he was now, a moaning mess, sighs and groans the most beautiful symphony in Miles’ ears. Pleading words that practically dropped with desire, leaving Miles wanting more and more and more.

“Edgeworth…please…” Phoenix gasped as the older Miles nipped at his neck. “Please please please…”

“Wright…”

“Shh, shh, you’re doing so well.” The older Miles sweetly murmured into Phoenix’s neck. “So perfect for us…”

Phoenix was perfect, like this, a mess that was barely teetering off the edge. A man driven by desperation and pleasure, the world falling away. Only Miles. It was only him, only him that he wanted. It’d always been only him. A love that ran deeper than the Mariana Trench.

And yet…some part of Miles doubted that love.

The older Miles looked at his younger self, and he smiled. “He loves you, you know.”

“I love you…so much…” Phoenix moaned as the older Miles grasped his cock.

“I’m…” Miles’ throat was dry, finding himself at a loss of words as he stared at Phoenix’s naked body. “I’m not sure.”

“Are you scared? Are you scared that Phoenix doesn’t love you?”

That fear never left, it had been there the moment Miles had realized that he was in love, and it was still there now. Miles wasn’t sure it would go away, this fear of his, this doubt. Years of believing he was a criminal, years of thinking he wasn’t worth it, years of thinking that everyone would leave. Really, how was he supposed to think that his loved ones all wouldn’t leave him? When they have before?

Miles couldn’t put it into words, the overwhelming fear that everyone he loved, Phoenix, would eventually leave him.

But he didn’t need to.

“You don’t need to tell me.” The older Miles said, reassuringly, years of experience exhibiting maturity in his voice. “I am you, after all.”

“I’m just…not sure if he truly loves me.”

“Even after everything? You’re still not sure?”

“…Yes.” Miles then asked, in a whisper. “Are you…still scared? That he’ll leave us?”

“Of course I am, I’m scared every single day.”

“Oh…”

“But,” The older Miles continued. “I’m reassured every day, by the very man I’m scared will leave me. Because he loves me, and he loves you.”

“He loves me…” Miles murmured.

The older Miles smiled at him gently, still caressing at Phoenix’s weeping cock, drawing pleasured moans out of his lips. “He’s so…wonderful, isn’t he?”

“Yes.” The sight of Phoenix had Miles breathless, no matter how many times he’d seen it before. His handsome face, his rosy nipples, his weeping cock, his hole that Miles had explored many times. “He’s gorgeous.”

“Gorgeous, that’s a good way to put it.” His older counterpart hummed thoughtfully, holding Phoenix’s cock, gently caressing it. “Do you feel gorgeous, sweetheart?”

“Haaah…Edgeworth…I want…” Phoenix gasped out.

“Shhh.” The older Miles hushed him. “You’ll get what you want, just be patient.”

“I can’t…please…”

“Tch, so impatient.” The older Miles chided, a hint of playfulness in his voice.

Miles gulped, Phoenix was positively gorgeous.

The older Miles turned to the other. “Has this convinced you?”

Miles stayed silent, his older counterpart knew what it meant.

The older Miles raised a brow. “Still not convinced? Really?”

“I’m…I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and insecurities don’t just go away with a few words.”

Miles nodded.

“Healing takes…time.” The older Miles continued. “The question is…are you willing to be convinced?”

It was an invitation, Miles knew. An invitation to let Phoenix love him.

Had it been a few years ago, Miles would have been terrified, would have ran away. But he didn’t have to be scared, he didn’t have to be alone. Not anymore.

“Yes.” Miles decided.

“Join us, then.”

And so, Miles joined them.

Warmth.

That warm mouth on Miles’ cock was heavenly, tongue lapping at his flesh like he were a starving man. He gripped at Phoenix’s hair, fingers dug into soft locks as he bucked into that wet heat. His older counterpart was fucking Phoenix, every single thrust driving Phoenix’s mouth into his cock. Phoenix seemed to be in bliss, and so was Miles. He wanted nothing more than to stay here, in ecstasy that was overwhelming in the most amazing possible way ever.

Miles groaned as Phoenix’s tongue lapped at the underside of his cock. “Wright…you’re doing so well…”

“So perfect for us, Phoenix…” The older Miles murmured to himself.

It was odd, hearing Phoenix’s name in his own voice…and he wasn’t the one saying it. But he liked the sound of it, his name in his mouth. He wondered what it would sound like in his own.

“Phoenix…” Miles rolled the word in his tongue, deciding that he liked the sound of it.

The older Miles laughed between his groans. “Haaah…beautiful name, isn’t it? Suits someone of his…aesthetics.”

…Was Miles’ vocabulary really that pretentious?

He couldn’t think about that further though, moaning as Phoenix’s tongue licked the slit of his cock. Miles couldn’t doubt their love, not now, not with every single buck into his warm mouth and grip on his black hair, just more evidence of their adoration and devotion. The two of them, at the edge of the cliff, driven by the ecstasy of their pleasure together, uncaring about the entire world.

Miles looked at Phoenix’s eyes, full of love, and it brought him over the edge.

He let out a strangled cry as he came. Riding the afterglows of his pleasure, he caught his breath, taking out his half hard cock out of his mouth, wet with spit and his release. Miles reached out and caressed his cheek gently, Phoenix leaning into his touch.

It wasn’t enough.

The sight of Phoenix, cum dripping from his lips and chin, letting out moans as the older Miles continued to fuck him further. He was looking up at him, beautiful blue eyes that contained such lust and love that it drove Miles mad. Liquid heat pooling in his gut, leaving him wanting more. More of Phoenix’s body, his heat, his love.

“Still…haaah…not enough, huh?” The older Miles asked between his moans.

“I…” Miles was still caressing Phoenix’s face, warm cheek against his hands. “I love him.”

“I know.” The older Miles replied.

“I want to love him further.” Miles said.

“You do, hm?” The older Miles turned his attention to Phoenix, leaning in to his ear. “How does that sound, darling? The two of us, loving you…does that not sound divine?”

“A-Ah! Edgeworth…” Phoenix shuddered as the older Miles’ hands explored his body. “F-Fuuuck, it sounds…”

The older Miles chuckled. “Is that a yes, Phoenix?”

“Yes! Yes, dear god yes!” Phoenix gasped out.

The older Miles turned to Miles. “You heard him, come join me.”

“E-Excuse me?” Miles spluttered.

“Do you not want to love him?” The older Miles questioned, a brow raised.

Miles frowned in thought, he did want that, but the question was…

“…Can he even handle the two of us?” Miles asked.

“You underestimate Phoenix, he’s very resilient.”

Miles found his willpower chipping away piece by piece. “True…”

“There is no need to agree, of course.” His older counterpart said. “This is your choice, and no choice is right or wrong.”

Miles nodded, looking back at Phoenix, who was still nuzzling his hand. Gorgeous, perfect, downright heavenly.

He wanted it.

“I…” Miles gulped, his adam’s apple bobbing in his throat. “I want to.”

The older Miles smiled. “Wonderful, come here.”

Miles let go of Phoenix’s face, walking over to his older counterpart, who had had stilled, smiling at him gently.

“Come now, don’t be shy.” He encouraged.

Miles nodded.

He walked up next to him and guided his cock into Phoenix, pressing it into him, pleasant warmth heat enveloping him. Phoenix gasped at the fullness, desire dripping with every moan that escaped his lips.

“There we go.” The older Miles said. “Doesn’t he feel wonderful?”

“Yes.” Miles was out of breath.

“Absolutely perfect.”

Perfect, that was a good way to describe him.

The two started to thrust in tandem, feeling the heat of walls envelope his cock. Phoenix was so responsive, gasping and moaning with every single thrust. Miles loved it, the symphony of Phoenix’s pleasure, a birdsong that he could listen to for the rest of his life. And with every thrust, every inch of the warmth that wrapped around both Miles’ cock, he felt himself unraveling by every thread. It didn’t take long for either of the Miles to come, the younger one letting out a cry and the older a grunt as they came.

After taking out their half hard cocks, cum dripping from Phoenix’s hole, Miles snuggled up to Phoenix. The older Miles was snuggled up too, on the opposite side. Their eyes met, and there was a gentle twinkle in his eyes.

“He loves you.” The older Miles said.

“I know.” Miles replied.

“But that doubt will never leave.”

“It won’t.”

“But…there are people who will stay with you, reassure you until the end of time that they love you.” His older counterpart smiled. “And is that not enough?”

Miles smiled back. “It’s enough.”

Miles yawned, feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin and Phoenix’s embrace as he woke up.

He had woken up to the sight of his bedroom a many times in his life, to the point that his bedroom ceiling has become a mundane comfort. The feeling of Phoenix’s arms wrapped around him, though less frequent, was just as or even more welcome. Thankfully it was a Saturday, which meant that the two could spend most of the morning together. Ever since Miles had started dating Phoenix, he actually used his days off. It was actually…nice, getting to spend time with him, moments where they roared with laughter or simply sat in each other’s embrace. He loved both of those moments equally.

Miles let his thoughts pass by, like birds that flew free in the skies of his mind. There was a feeling though, as though he wear just on the precipice of a thought, but couldn’t quite reach beyond it. He just had a dream, he knew. An important dream, he felt like. Like it had a deeper meaning that Miles couldn’t quite comprehend. Yes, for some unexplainable some reason, he couldn’t exactly recall what it was, and what made the dream so important in the first place. He knew it was about Phoenix, he felt the undeniable afterglows that his love gave to him, but other than that, nothing came to mind.

Oh well, it probably wasn’t too important.

Though, it did feel important…why couldn’t he remember it?

Miles looked over at Phoenix, who was slowly waking up too. He looked ethereal, the sun rays that filtered through the windows illuminating him, kissing his skin with its soft gentle lips. The way the light lit up the room, it looked as though Phoenix were in the spotlight. And really, in the play of Miles’ life, he was. Phoenix was his co-actor, his partner for life, both on and off the stage. Honestly? Miles wouldn’t have it any other way.

He stretched, then glancing over at Miles with a smile. Miles had fallen in love with every smile that made its way to his face.

Miles smiled back, gently. “Good morning, sunshine.”

“Someone’s in a good mood.” Phoenix remarked.

Miles rolled his eyes. “Shut up, Wright.”

“Well, not anymore it seems.”

Miles scoffed, Phoenix laughed.

The two cuddled with each other, letting the morning sounds of the birds settle into the air, a comfortable silence permeating through the room. Miles loved it, the comfortable silences that the two had, where they could just hold each other. Just the two of them even for a moment, just them against the world, cozy in the other’s embrace, Phoenix’s warm body next to him and his strong arms that held him so tightly, as though letting go would make him lose for the rest of his life.

Just as Miles was in deep thought, he heard Phoenix speak up, turning to him.

“So, any plans today?” Phoenix spoke up.

“Hmm…” Miles hummed in thought. “Not particularly.”

“Ah. Well, I was thinking we order pizza and just watch TV today.”

“That sounds wonderful, Wright.” Miles hummed, they should probably make breakfast, right? And so, he sat up from the bed. “I suppose I should make breakfast-”

Phoenix grabbed Miles’ arm and dragged him back on the bed. “Mmm, nah.”

“Nah?”

“C’mon Edgeworth, it’s Saturday. You can just stay here a little longer.”

Miles hummed, pretending to think about it. “Hmm, I’m unsure…”

Phoenix rolled his eyes. “Stop being a jackass.”

“You make a very convincing argument, Wright.” Miles said with a chuckle, adding at Phoenix’s scoff. “I suppose I could spare a few minutes more in bed.”

“Awesome.”

Miles settled back into the bed and snuggled up next to Phoenix. They held each other, Miles resting his head on Phoenix’s chest and listening to his heartbeat. The dream, he was wondering about the dream, the passersby of his mind moving along with the beats of Phoenix’s heart. What was that dream about? And why did…why did Miles feel like it was important?

“Wright?”

“Yeah?”

“I had…a dream.” Miles said.

Phoenix turned to Miles and raised a brow. “A dream?”

“Yes.”

“What was it about?”

“I…” Miles frowned in thought. “I’m not sure, I don’t remember it.”

“Hm! Most of my dreams are like that.” Phoenix said, then shrugging. “Aphantasiac and all that, you know?”

“Of course…” Miles nodded. “Though, I cannot shake the feeling that the dream was important.”

“Like, what kind of important?”

“Like, the type where I have a revelation of sorts. I am unsure what that revelation was…”

“Well, you didn’t yell “Eureka!” in your sleep, so was it that important?” Phoenix said, grinning.

Miles glared at him. “Wright.”

Phoenix snickered. “Just kidding, Edgeworth.”

“Hmph.” Miles said with a grumble, though he couldn’t stay mad at Phoenix for long, his gaze softening. “Though…nothing could be more important than you.”

“Aw, why are you such a big softie today? Did a Steel Samurai episode come out today?”

“Wright.”

“Kidding.” Phoenix said with a snicker. Though, that snicker soon turned into a gentle smile, as he gazed into the eyes of the man he loved with all his heart. “I really love you, you know that right?”

For some reason, for the first time…the doubt wasn’t there.

“I know, Wright.” Miles smiled back. “I know.”
