Within the courtroom, someone shouted. The sound was muffled, but the rage within was distinct, and the poor officers had almost no time to react before someone swung the doors wide on their hinges, sending them straight into the faces of the unsuspecting guards. Their arc missed Maya by inches. She squeezed her eyes shut and counted her lucky stars; "Thank you, universe," she thought, "Phoenix still owes me that burger." From the doorway strutted Franziska von Karma, the prosecuting lawyer, boots clicking smartly on the tile. Maya's heart stopped. Frantically, she looked around the room. Instead of the pink couch of the defendant lobby, there was a purple one. The painting on the wall was different. There were no potted plants. In her tired, dazed state, Maya had stumbled into the prosecutor lobby.

Summary
