Sweet Revenge

Summary:

All Vi has wanted since her teenage years was to get revenge on those who bullied her sister.

And now that she has the chance to get revenge, she doesn't plan to waste it.

Even if Caitlyn interferes in her plans.

Chapter 1: The high school crush

Chapter Text

Caitlyn seemed especially distracted today. Her friends had noticed but didn't want to ask, they already knew perfectly well that it was Noah's fault that her friend was like that.

The leader of the football team, the one who scored best, a daughter of parents who were just one purchase of a private plane to be millionaires and finally Caitlyn's girlfriend. Although they had been together since freshman year of college, Noah was not very active in paying attention to their relationship. According to her it was because she preferred to keep it as a secret for the moment, but after almost three years Caitlyn found it almost desperate.

"She's hot."

Caitlyn and her friends were watching one of the team's workouts, Cait only had eyes for Noah but what Evelynn said got her a little out of the trance she was in.

"Who?" Caitlyn asked.

"The new girl, the one next to Noah." Mel replied.

Her friend's words were enough for her eyes to move until she could see the girl who was doing the stretches.

Caitlyn thought she looked a little... out of place. Her appearance was not like that of other students of such an elite university. The pink hair, some tattoos could be seen and Cait even thought she had a pair of piercings. Something quite inadequate for that kind of sport.

"Maybe I'll invite her to tonight's party." Evelynn said without taking her eyes off the pink-haired girl.

"Are you going to invite her to the party or to your bed?" Mel asked directly. Evelynn was the most active of the group, never had a partner for more than a week and it seems that now her new victim was that girl.

"Both if I'm lucky." Evelynn replied.

Caitlyn rolled her eyes. "I can't wait to go to a party with you so you'll disappear after ten minutes, as always."

"Don't be so grumpy, Mel is going to bring Jayce. If you came with Noah at least you'd be entertained like everyone else."

Caitlyn really wanted to go with Noah but hadn't asked her. She knew very well what her response was going to be and she didn't want to overcomplicate their relationship. Caitlyn somehow respected keeping her relationship hidden from everyone else except her friends, she understood that she did not look prepared to make it public but at times like that it hurt her not to be able to have fun with her.

"Here they come." Evelynn said quietly, as she adjusted her shirt well. "How do I look?"

"Desperate." Mel replied, Caitlyn couldn't help but let out a giggle at her comment.

Noah and the other girl were approaching the group, that's when Caitlyn got to see her more closely. Which made her look stranger, she had gray eyes accompanied by a sad look and a serious face that clearly indicated she didn't want to be there at the time.

"Hey girls." Noah said before running an arm over the pink-haired girl's shoulders. "I introduce you to Violet, our new ass kicker."

"Hi, I'm the new ass kicker." She said with an awkward smile. "But Vi is also fine."

"Vi, uh? I'll remember." That's how Evelynn's subtle strategy began.

"Thanks?" Violet said without knowing in the trap that she had unintentionally gotten herself into.

"That's Evelynn." Noah continued. "Don't get too close to her." She said almost whispering, yet all three could hear her perfectly.

"Oh, don't be like that Noah." Evelynn got up to shake Vi's hand. "What a strong hands." Mel and Cait were about to laugh at Evelynn's flirting attempts.

"Thank you again, I guess." On Vi's part she didn't seem to be very interested, although it was impossible to figure out if it was because of Evelynn or because it was like that in general.

"Well, and they are Mel and Caitlyn."

Violet greeted them and they returned the greeting. But Caitlyn felt uncomfortable from one moment to the next. Violet did not look away from her, it even seemed that she had run through her body with her eyes a couple of times. She thought they were her imaginations but the moment Noah and Vi sat down, Violet standing next to Evelynn and Noah next to her, Caitlyn crossed her gaze with Violet's and there confirmed that she was looking at her. Having direct eye contact, Vi looked away and pretended nothing had happened.

"We're going to throw a party tonight, do you want to come Vi?" Evelynn asked.

"Uh... sure." Vi just said.

Perhaps Caitlyn was only paranoid but there was something about her attitude that made her uncomfortable, especially considering that after answering Evelynn she felt again like those gray eyes were looking at her again.

"I hadn't seen you on campus before." Mel continued the conversation.

"I don't like to stand out." Vi replied.

"Curious." Noah intervened. "Because of how you play you should have signed up for the team much earlier."

"Well, better late than never."

The intervention was another excuse for Vi to look at Caitlyn again, which was already making her too uncomfortable.

"Noah... do you mind taking me home?" Caitlyn asked suddenly.

"Now? I was going to show Vi the locker rooms."

"Yes, now." Maybe she was being a little bossy, but at the time what Caitlyn wanted to do was get away from that weird girl.

"Caitlyn..."

"Hey, it's okay. I think I can find the locker rooms alone." Vi quickly got up from the stands and before leaving she give a high-five to Noah. "Can you pass me the address of that party later?"

"Yeah, see you."

Vi said goodbye to the others before continuing her mission to try to find the changing rooms. Caitlyn immediately felt calmer.

"Not only does she have a pretty face, she also has a pretty ass."

"Evelynn, can you try not to sleep with half of my team?" Noah asked a little annoyed.

"Hmmm no."

Noah sighed angrily. "Come on, let's go Cait."

Noah was clearly angry. Something that unfortunately was quite normal in her lately.

"What did that come for?"

They were already in Noah's car, they had not yet moved out of the parking lot when she decided to talk seriously to Cait.

"What?" Caitlyn asked a little confused.

"That. Forcing me to take you home."

"I didn't force you to do anything."

"It was what it seemed." Noah shook her head. "Cait you know I don't like it when you're this possessive."

"Possesive?" Caitlyn was quite offended by that word. "Forgive me for wanting my girlfriend to take me in her car." At the moment she preferred to look for that excuse rather than tell her the real reason, she thought that maybe Violet's thing was just her paranoia.

"We should be more discreet, that's all I say. I don't feel like arguing with you."

"We wouldn't have to argue if..." Caitlyn was about to tell her what she really thought, that she didn't find that deal fair at least not to do basic things like spend more time together like a simple car ride. But she thought better, for the sake of their relationship it was better not to say anything. "It doesn't matter. Forget what I said."

"Forgotten." Noah started the car, there was still some discomfort in the environment so Noah decided to change the subject. "Are you going to the party?"

"Yes." Cait replied, This does not ease her anger. Because she knew that if she asked her, Noah would immediately say that she would not go. It would be an unnecessary risk that if by chance they got drunk they would end up messing up and everyone would see them.

"I won't be able to go."

"What a surprise." Caitlyn thought.

"But since Vi is going to go, accompany her."

"Why?"

"Have you not seen her play? She is a beast and I want to..."

"Check if she is reliable." Caitlyn said interrupting her. "You do the same with all the new players."

"Exactly. If she gets high, if she likes cats or dogs, what brand of condoms she uses... anything to know more about her. There's something that worries me about Vi, I don't trust her."

"Why not?" Caitlyn didn't trust her either, but it was weird that Noah thought the same.

"She's never played football and suddenly she shows up to save us the next few games? I don't know, there has to be something else."

"Or maybe you're just paranoid." Caitlyn dared to suggest.

"You're never paranoid enough."

Soon they arrived at Caitlyn's parents' house. It was conveniently close to the university so these car rides were just an excuse for at least the two of them to spend time together, although to Noah it seemed more of a hassle.

"Do me that favor Cait, please." Caitlyn sighed, what she least wanted was to strike up a conversation with a stranger at a party just because her girlfriend had unfounded suspicions. "If you do... I can think of a way to reward you."

Caitlyn looked at her curiously raising an eyebrow. "How?"

Noah quickly came over to kiss her, it was a short kiss but enough for Cait to forget for a moment how upset she was with her. If Noah knew how to do anything, it was like easily convincing her with her lips.

"Maybe more of those will wait for you once you get back from the party."

"And why not now?" That kiss had put Cait in a good mood, she took the initiative to try to give her another kiss but Noah immediately stepped away.

"I can't be home late."

Another excuse, one more Caitlyn had to simply accept for the sake of their relationship. "Sure... we'll talk later." Cait couldn't hide her anger but even with that Noah didn't even ask her if she was okay, she just left once Caitlyn got out of the car.

"She's an asshole."

"Mel..."

"You know I'm right."

The party had started. Mel and Caitlyn were chatting in the kitchen while serving themselves something to drink. The music was loud, the alcohol passed from hand to hand and people seemed to enjoy it to the fullest. But that wasn't enough to cheer Caitlyn.

"You've been dating for almost three years, I think it's time to make it public."

"It's not that easy."

"Yes, it is." Mel told her trying to get her friend to finally realize the problem. "Don't try to make excuses to defend her."

"I don't defend her but I understand it. She has many worries in her life now as if to..."

"To pay attention to you?" Caitlyn didn't answer. "How long has it been since you fucked?"

"About... three months." Caitlyn confessed somewhat embarrassed.

"God Cait, is she so busy?" Those words didn't cheer her up, in fact it only made her feel worse for thinking it wasn't even enough for her girlfriend to have occasional sex. "Look, I'm just saying that no one would judge you if you decided to have some fun today."

"What do you say? I'm not going to cheat on Noah."

"I'm not saying cheat, I mean... flirt. To show that you can still sleep with whoever you wanted if you set your mind to it."

"Who am I now? Evelynn?" She said with a giggle as she took a sip of her drink.

"Speaking of the devil." Mel pointed to the open door of the room.

It seemed that Evelynn had met her goal that night. There she was leaning against the door frame kissing Vi, the new one on the football team. It was almost uncomfortable to see Evelynn trying to put her hands inside her pants without caring that people were continually coming in and out of that place.

"You wouldn't get there but maybe a kiss wouldn't be so sinful."

"Thank you for the advice Mel, but I decline the offer."

"How boring you are."

With that last reprimand, Mel walked away from her, going straight to her boyfriend Jayce.

Caitlyn was left alone, as always at this type of party. Sometimes she enjoyed Evelynn's company but on that night she seemed to be quite busy.

Caitlyn couldn't help but look at them, they stood out too much in the place. A hand of Vi was resting on the door frame while her other hand was on Evelynn's ass. And the other girl had one hand continually stroking her back while another began to subtly lower into her pants. Evelynn was daring to the point of being mesmerizing, that's what made her so good at flirting.

Not like Caitlyn.

She was just the one who always stood on the sidelines watching. This time looking like a bulge was growing with the touch of Evelynn's hand.

"God, what am I doing?" Caitlyn immediately looked away a little embarrassed.

It was none of their business what they were doing.

Or maybe it was? Noah had asked her to investigate Vi, perhaps that was an ideal time to discover how Vi was in a more intimate situation. That could decipher more about her.

Caitlyn looked again, inconsequentially returned to the point of before with that hand in that interesting place. But when Caitlyn looked up, she noticed that the pink-haired girl was looking directly at her. Caitlyn immediately feel uncomfortable.

Evelynn was more attentive to her hands and to focus her attention on Vi's neck than on what was going on between Vi and Cait.

Did it make her horny that Caitlyn looked at her? Cait thought it was a stupid thought, but since Vi didn't take her eyes off her while Evelynn stroked her, she couldn't help but think that from the beginning Vi was looking forward to doing that with her. That would explain those looks from Vi in the morning.

"But what am I thinking?" Caitlyn immediately denied that possibility, sure she was just imagining things. The idea that someone might see her attractive didn't bother her, but she had a girlfriend and it wasn't right to fantasize about another woman wanting her.

Caitlyn pushed those thoughts away from her head. She thought it best to sit on the living room couch for a while and clear her mind. The alcohol helped but not too much.

She unconsciously ended up checking her phone. No messages from Noah. Of course not, why would she worry? She was at a party with her friends, it was nothing to be alarmed about. But still Cait wanted Noah to be a little more present, if only with a damn text message.

Caitlyn felt a little pathetic writing to her, it always ended the same way. She wrote to her and her girlfriend wouldn't answer her until the next morning, if she answered. Still, she decided to send her at least one confirmation that the party had gone well and that the girls were having fun.

To her surprise, before putting the phone back in the pocket, the phone rang. It was a message from Noah.

"Anything about Vi?"

Not one, how are you? Or, you're having fun? None of that.

Maybe it was because of the effect of alcohol but Cait felt like she was about to cry.

"Are you okay?"

Caitlyn turned in fright as she heard that voice that was slightly familiar to her. There was Violet sitting next to her on the couch, Caitlyn hadn't even realized how long she had been there.

"Yes, I am fine." Cait looked away again and tried to blink hard to keep the tears from coming out. What she needed least that night was to cry in front of a stranger.

"Okay." Vi leaned back on the couch and took a sip of the beer she had. Caitlyn thought about leaving, maybe it wasn't a bad time to go home and be alone for a while. "Do you have a problem with me?"

That question caught her by surprise, so much so that it made her look her straight in the eyes again. "A problem with you?"

"Yes, it's just... I thought you'd recognize me, but judging by how you looked at me it seemed to make you uncomfortable with my presence."

This made Caitlyn doubt, she didn't remember seeing Vi ever in her life. "Do we know each other?"

Vi sat well again, getting closer to Caitlyn. "You're Caitlyn Kiramman, aren't you?" Cait nodded. "I'm Violet Lane, we were going to the same high school."

"Oh, I... I'm sorry but I don't remember you." Caitlyn couldn't remember her, her name or her looks. If Cait had seen such a girl in her high school she was sure she would remember her.

"No wonder." She replied with a smile. "Hair, tattoos and wearing contact lenses help a little to look like someone else."

"So that's why you were looking at me so much this morning."

"Yeah, sorry that's because I found it very strange to see you today." Caitlyn was relieved, at least Vi was not a weird person. "I always had a crush on you."

"What?" Was the only thing Caitlyn could say, not those words of Vi were expected.

Violet rubbed her neck somewhat embarrassed. "Yes... but I never dared to talk to you. Well, so far."

"Oh I..."

"Sorry, I shouldn't have told you like that." Violet immediately retracted her words. "It's that after so long you're still so... pretty. I'm... I'm sorry, I'm so nervous." Vi couldn't help but laugh nervously, in a way Caitlyn found strangely adorable.

"Well... thank you I guess. It's always great to have your ego raised that way." Caitlyn said it sincerely, for once it felt good to hear someone other than her girlfriend consider her beautiful.

"Whenever you want."

After that there was a small awkward silence, Caitlyn didn't know how to continue the conversation after that confession. She was unaccustomed to someone being flirting with her directly.

"So... are you single?" Vi was encouraged to ask.

"Yes." She was used to saying that as a default response but somehow that one did feel different.

"I thought you were dating Noah."

"Oh no, no. We're just very good friends." It was another predetermined response, one that felt guilty in some way.

"I see."

"And you?" It was a bit of a silly question considering how she had seen her making out with Evelynn.

"Single too."

"Luckily, if Evelynn found out you had a partner, she'd kill you."

Vi laughed. "I don't doubt it, before it seemed like she wanted to kill me with her nails. I'm sure it leaves a scar."

That made her wonder why Vi was now with her. The crush thing may have been true, but spending the night with Evelynn seemed like a much better plan than talking to Caitlyn. "And you're not going to, you know."

Vi shook her head. "Evelynn is hot, but you are hotter." This time Caitlyn laughed. "Don't you believe me?"

"Not much, but thank you for lying to me just to boost my self-esteem."

"I'm not lying." Caitlyn noticed at that moment how a hand was running down her back until it landed on her hip. Violet brought her closer to her in that way, now making her legs rub against each other and their faces within inches of touching each other. "You are hot."

Before she could answer her or turn away, Vi kissed her. It wasn't a romantic kiss, so far Vi's tongue had no discomfort getting into Cait's mouth in search of her own.

For a second Caitlyn was angry. She even thought about pushing her away and throwing the cup on her for being so disrespectful. But those thoughts only lasted a few seconds.Vi was too good at kissing.

That thought wasn't good, she was getting too carried away at the moment but she couldn't help it. When Caitlyn wanted to realize she was also participating in that kiss.

"God you don't know how long I've been waiting to do this..." Vi said as she separated to get some air.

Caitlyn could have walked away at that moment, ended this right away, but she didn't feel able to. Violet's words clouded her mind, knowing that she wanted her that way was hypnotizing and she didn't put up any resistance when Vi kissed her again. Somehow this made her feel good. Caitlyn knew it was a horrible thing but now she couldn't stop, much less when that hand Vi had on her hip started slowly rising up her shirt. Suddenly a sound made Vi finish the kiss. It was her phone, someone was calling her.

"Excuse me, it's important." Vi quickly got off the couch as if nothing had happened, said goodbye to her and winked at her before going outside to answer the call.

This made her feel the worst person in the world. She had just kissed Noah's teammate.

"Shit..." Caitlyn felt like she was going to throw up.

Vi had gone out into the street in front of the house to answer the call, it was certainly a better place to talk than inside with such loud music.

"Vi, can you talk?"

"Yes, no problem." She replied.

"Did everything go well?"

"Perfectly." Vi said with a smile. "She doesn't suspect anything."

"Are you sure?"

Violet stopped to look out the window. She could see from there how Caitlyn was still on the couch, covering her face with her hands as if she regretted what she had done. "Yes, she bite the bait. The high school love strategy has worked very well."

"Good. Keep up the plan."

"Understood. We move on to phase two."

The call ended and Vi stared at Caitlyn for a few more seconds. "This is going to be fun."
