Work Text:
Sarada had had a substantially visceral reaction to seeing Boruto for the first time in years. Her brain had started to act in ways in which she didn't even know was possible for her. It felt as thrilling as it did concerning.
Because the truth of the matter was that somewhere along the way, something changed about the way that she saw him. The way that she felt and her body reacted when she saw him.
Somehow, before she could even comprehend it for herself, she had managed to grow avidly possessive over Boruto Uzumaki.
Seeing how much he had changed in the time he'd been gone had her heart doing palpitations just as much as it made her feral. Feral and livid. So incredibly livid that she wanted to commit unspeakable things.
Because how dare the universe steal those years away from them? How dare omnipotence take away her opportunity to watch him become the person that he is now.
Wait.
How dare omnipotence make him the person that he is now? His previous self was more than etched into Sarada's mind, and that was not the present Boruto.
This Boruto was cold, exhausted. Who had done that to him? How could they mess with the warm Boruto that she knew and loved?
Well, changed or not, her feelings still only grew stronger at the sight of him. His tall figure that loomed over her, his dull empty blue eyes, his gaze, it was way too much for her.
She needed to release it.
“He suddenly vanished somewhere?” Shikamaru had asked in regards to Boruto. “Does this mean he's mastered space-time ninjutsu?”
“I have no clue how he did it,” Kawaki had replied. Nowadays, even the sight of him made Sarada pop a vein. “But Boruto vanished after Code fled, as if he were chasing him.”
“So you're saying Code was the only reason Boruto came to Konoha?” Came to Konoha and immediately rescued Sarada, that is.
“There's a chance that Boruto and Code are linked. Before Boruto disappeared, he seemed to be talking to someone…..” How dare Kawaki make such accusations over Boruto who'd already gone through so much?
“How ridiculous,” Sarada had finally chimed in, unable to keep her mouth shut for any longer. “Boruto simply drove Code away after he attacked Konoha. That should be obvious from their convo.” Why could no one see him the way that she did?
“You just don't get it, Sarada,” Kawaki countered, much to her irritation. They were the ones that didn't fucking get it! “ Boruto's an otsutsuki. No matter what his motives are, he's an enemy that needs to be killed for being an otsutsuki.”
….What?
Those words had rung in her head on repeat. Boruto's an otsutsuki. Boruto is an otsutsuki. Boruto. An otsutsuki.
Boruto.
Is.
An.
Otsutsuki.
What kind of bullshit was that!? Boruto!? The same Boruto that she'd grown up with? The Boruto that would childishly vandalize the hokage monument for his father's attention and play stupid pranks all the time? The Boruto that had promised to protect her forever? That Boruto?
What a fucking joke. The notion of people viewing Boruto as anything other than human made her livid. That idea was so incredibly disgraceful that she could puke. He couldn't possibly also view himself that way, could he?
This spiraling of fury soon resurfaced as Boruto began to contribute to her doubts. “The omnipotence impacts everyone except for otsutsuki, which is why me and Kawaki are unaffected.”
Sarada tensed at his choice of words. “You're still human, though.”
Caught off guard, Boruto lightly chuckled even though his eyes were just as empty and his smile was clearly fake. “I mean, a genetic test would say otherwi—”
“No! That's not what I mean!” Sarada interjected. The two of them were sitting on a bench outside which offered quite a view of the village. “It doesn't matter what you were genetically changed to. You're still a human!”
“Right.” Boruto gave her a puzzled look. “But you see, I stopped being a regular human the moment I received the karma mark.” He held up the back of his hand, showing the dark rhombus that still haunted it.
“I don't care what anyone tells you. You're Boruto Uzumaki. Not Otsutsuki.” Her eyebrows furrowed as she grew more and more agitated at everyone's thought process. Was genetics really all that it took!?
Boruto let out a grin which only felt more distant if anything. “I think you're the only one who still thinks that.”
Sarada's jaw clenched. “Are you saying that I shouldn't?”
“It's not like that, just….” He thought to himself for a moment. “I've thought about it plenty long and hard. Of course I'll always truly be an Uzumaki, but well, now I've got something more important than being an Uzumaki son.” He looked at her straight in the eye. “It'll hurt to keep thinking of me as Boruto Uzumaki, so don't force yourself.”
Force herself? Is that what he thought she was doing!? She needed to set things straight.
“But you are Boruto Uzumaki.” She inched closer to him. “That is who you have always been to me. Why would you want me to think otherwise?”
Boruto blinked at her, an unreadable expression on his face. “I know that I've already caused you tons of trouble, I just want to lighten the load on y—”
“On me!? ” Sarada seethed. “And what about you!?” Had he really resorted to not even including himself into the equation!?
“Well, what's done is done when it comes to me.” His gaze darkened, betraying a certain loneliness before immediately turning neutral. “Don't worry so much.”
“How can I not!? No one sees you as one of us anymore, let alone human!”
“Because I'm not human, Sara—”
“Bullshit!” her hand slapped him across the cheek before she could register what she was doing. She couldn't help it. She needed him to understand!
“Sarada.” He gazed at her gently, putting a hand on her shoulder. “You know that Eida's omnipotence affects everyone except for otsutsuki. I have not been affected.” He took a hold of her hand, suddenly bringing it to his chest and resting it there. “Because I am an otsutsuki.”
Frowning, Sarada refused to back down. “So what does that make me? Am I an otsutsuki too now? Is that why I'm unaffected?” She pointed out the obvious flaw in his statement which was still a mystery to everyone.
Boruto's eyebrows twisted downward. “No, you're not. And you never will be.”
Sarada let out a bitter chuckle. “So that logic applies to me but not you?”
“What are you saying? I've already been turned into an otsutsu—”
“And I'm saying that it doesn't matter!” Sarada fumed, shoving her hand away from his. “You've lived your life as a human, Boruto. I've watched you grow as one for years. The trials that you've gone through, your experiences were all human. ” Her face inched closer to his, as her onyx eyes bore into his dark blue. “DNA doesn't define one's humanity, what do I have to do to make you understand that!?”
Boruto tilted his head sideways, not breaking eye contact as if daring her to inch closer. Something from curiosity to contentment swirled within him. “Prove it to me, Sarada.”
The way his gaze didn't waver from hers, the way he sat there devoid of his typical defense as he always was when it came to her. The way it seemed as if the next thing she said or did had the power to make or break him. She could shut him up so easily, convey everything that she wanted him to understand so effectively.
The power that he gave her over him felt magnetizing. It stirred something within her as she only grew more visceral for Boruto.
Prove it to him? Oh, she could do way more than that.
Allowing temptation to take over, she grabbed him by the collar — closing the gap between them as she thrusted her lips onto his.
That was all it took for all if any previous rationale she had to dissipate as it clicked to her just how much she liked the way this felt. How much more she needed.
Not betraying the feral grip on his collar, her lips eagerly demanded for more as she let her tongue delve between his parted lips in silent request. Boruto accepted without missing a beat, not rebuffing her advances in any way as he began to reciprocate, kissing her back. That was all the confirmation that Sarada needed.
Her desire rapidly increasing with every touch, she deepened the kiss growing more and more desperate for his taste as he seemed to have no objections. Unable to stop herself, her hand palmed his chest as she slammed him down onto the bench — crawling on top of him. She straddled herself onto his lap, lips still latched to his as she took control of his mouth. Her hands clung to his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin as she continued unrelenting.
After what felt like an eternity but also somehow not long enough, she pulled away, hovering over him as she was now out of breath. Panting, she eyed the blond who was also trying to catch his breath, sweat beading down his forehead as his eyebrows furrowed and his veins came into view. She loved knowing that she had the ability to make him look like that.
“ Tell me to stop, ” she huffed, her arms planted on either side of him. She tugged at his collar, slowly moving to his cape which she held down. When he wasn’t receptive, Sarada spoke again. “Boruto.”
She shoved his cape off, tossing it onto the floor before suddenly lunging her lips onto his neck. He grunted.
“Tell.
me.
to.
stop.”
She dug into his neck viciously, baring herself to him as he let out another groan of pure ecstasy, panting to the point of no control. Slowly, before he’d undoubtedly lose the ability to control his actions, his hand moved to the bottom of her jaw, bringing her closer as he lifted his head up slightly. His mouth lingered on the side of her face as she could feel his hot breath consume her. Dangerously, his mouth trailed down her jawline before stopping at her ear, his breath pausing.
“ Sarada. ” He could barely speak as she almost visualized his heart beating from his chest, much to her pleasure. She loved the power that he gave her. Steadily, his hand reached for her neck, moving down her collarbone and chest before stopping at the end of her top, suddenly slipping under it and sliding back up. “ Don’t, ” he whispered into her ear.
“Don’t what?” She asked huskily, caught off guard by his sudden actions.
“ Don’t.
stop.”
His hand cupped her by the chin, forcing her mouth to his as he suddenly latched his lips to hers, letting her catch all of his non-stop breaths. He ran a hand through her raven hair, the other still feeling the warmth of her chest as he ran her up and down, tongue still swiveling with hers. He had always loved watching her take charge, and it seemed as if his feelings were no different in this context.
Her mouth gradually dragged downward, angling his chin up as she left soft kisses down his neck and his moans offered unparalleled music to her ears. Growing frustrated by the article of clothing that dared get in her way, she viciously pulled his shirt off of him before leaving marks all over his chest, even flaring her sharingan to truly enjoy the sight of his abs.
Admittedly, Boruto couldn’t help but feel jealous over not having a sharingan of his own to capture this moment — so he’d just have to compensate in other ways. His blue eyes suddenly darkening, he reached over for the cape that Sarada had previously tossed aside, swiftly draping it over the two of them leaving nothing but the end of his legs exposed.
“Boruto?” She pulled back in confusion at the sudden darkness and extra warmth, sharingan still activated. “What are you—”
“Some light would be ideal, but this’ll have to do,” he whispered under his breath, too quiet for even Sarada to hear. Before she could ask him to repeat himself, he promptly slipped her jacket off her body before swiping her shirt off of her, causing her to hold back a gasp. Her crimson eyes illuminated just enough of a glow in the darkness of the cape for him to make out her black laced bra dangling above him.
Leaning upward, he palmed a breast of hers as his tongue swirled down her collarbone, offering kisses as her sweet sounds played in his head on repeat. God, if this was what being a human entailed, then maybe he might as well just hold on to that title. Sarada was definitely worth it.
Overwhelmed and unable to contain her breath, her strength wavered as she suddenly collapsed atop of him, her chest making contact with his. At this new development, Boruto slowly brought an arm over to encompass Sarada’s delicate figure, holding her close as he turned her to her side.
“Are you trying to kill me?” He huffed, his arm now pulling her close by the waist as his mouth lingered over her neck. “Because it’s working.”
“I won’t stop until you say it,” she whispered into his chest.
“Say what?”
“That I’ve proved you wrong.” Her glowing crimson eyes bore into his blue. “Say it.” Her hand traveled lower, as if threatening something far more dangerous. She could hear him smirk.
“You haven’t proved anything, Sarada,” he countered. “You really think that was enough to prove your point?” He reveled as he watched the gears move in Sarada’s brain.
A sudden aggression taking over her, she immediately moved back to her previous position, straddling Boruto again as a certain ruthlessness took over her facial expression. She narrowed her eyes as she slipped her fingers under the hem of his pants, lifting it before quickly letting go as it snapped onto him. “I said,
say.
it.”
Boruto leaned forward, his mouth right next to her ear. “ And if I don’t? ” He teased, earning him a stern glare from Sarada which he couldn’t help but love.
“Then I’m going to wring it into your head until you never forget.”
Tugging the hem of his pants once more, her sharingan quickly stopped flaring as they both sat in nothing but themselves and the darkness that engulfed them. As Sarada opted to show him exactly what she meant by wringing it into him.
Boruto took it all with zero complaint. He let her take him without a second thought, soon forgetting all about his previous complaint regarding the lack of visibility in the dark. He was left with nothing but thoughts of her as she laid beside him afterwards, both of them out of breath.
Because he loved giving her that power. He loved letting her drive him crazy.
