Work Text:

Law rarely had the whole weekend off and he was determined to take full advantage of such a rare treat. He had the whole thing planned out—sleep late, take his time to prepare coffee at home for once instead of wasting money on the expensive Moonbucks cappuccinos, and then spend the rest of the day catching up on his reading.

Perhaps he was partly to blame and the mere act of making a plan had jinxed it, because he never even made it to the first item on his list. Instead of getting a healthy nine hours of sleep for the first time in months, he was awoken by incessant knocking on his door.

Law tried ignoring whoever it was, but the knocking didn't cease. With a groan, Law dragged himself out of bed and to the door.

"The fuck do you want?" he asked before he'd even identified the other person.

"Law! I remembered you said you had the weekend off," Ikkaku chirped with a smile, unbothered by Law's mood.

"Kinda regret telling you guys now."

He really hadn't meant it as an invitation to visit and probably wouldn't even have mentioned it, had Ikkaku herself not been on his case for working too much.

"Stop moping and get dressed before I get a parking ticket."

Law narrowed his eyes at her. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Oh?" She pulled her mouth into a dramatic pout. "What if something happens to me? I'm meeting the guy I've been talking to for the first time."

"You're an adult, figure it out. Ask Penguin."

"I did, weeks ago. But he had an emergency at work and had to cancel."

Law groaned. "Shachi then."

"He's got food poisoning. Trust me, you weren't my first choice."

"Isn't it awkward bringing an extra person on a date?"

Ikkaku rolled her eyes. "As I told you at work, it's a music festival. There'll be thousands of people."

"When was this?" Law asked, scratching his head.

"I knew you weren't listening. So let me make it clear—there's a guy I've been talking to, I like him. He's in a band and he gave me tickets to his concert today. You coming or what?"

Law sighed. He was far from enthusiastic but he'd never forgive himself if something happened to Ikkaku. In a normal situation, he would've trusted her to manage on her own but who the fuck knew what would happen with a bunch of wannabe rockstars? There'd been enough examples in the media lately, guys slipping drugs into fans' drinks because they thought they could get away with it and worse.

"Fine," he relented. "But I won't be happy about it."

Although it was still early, the place was already crawling with people and the first artists were setting up their equipment. In a few hours, the whole place would be filled with noise and sweaty bodies bumping into each other.

The sun was making Law regret leaving his sunglasses home while somehow managing to provide zero warmth.

"Why people pay money for this is beyond me," he commented as a groggy-looking couple stumbled past them wearing nothing more than underwear.

"Some people actually have an appreciation for the finer things in life," Ikkaku said snidely.

"I've got a word for this but fine isn't it."

"Just wait till the music starts."

"Yeah, when is that again?" Law asked, squinting at the stage.

If she'd found this guy on a dating app he was probably some amateur trying to impress chicks with free tickets. Undoubtedly the band would be playing first thing in the morning when most of the previous night's audience was still sleeping off their hangover in a tent somewhere.

“They're not the last act,” Ikkaku said, leafing through a brochure she’d picked up at the gate. “But there are a bunch of bands before my guy.”

“Of course there would be.”

They watched a few of the first performances and although they weren’t strictly speaking bad, they weren’t very memorable either. The crowd was still pretty thin, hardly a surprise if you considered the chilly weather. Even though it was early summer, the wind kept blowing through the field, making Law wish he’d worn more clothes.

“Couldn’t we have come later?” he asked, hands tucked into his armpits for warmth.

“But I want the full experience!”

“The full experience kinda sucks,” Law grumbled.

Ikkaku rolled her eyes. “Fine, let’s get something to eat.”

After getting his blood sugar up, Law’s mood improved drastically. To warm themselves up, they wandered around looking at some of the merchandise until Ikkaku managed to find a shirt featuring the band they were waiting to see. It was a pretty standard black hoodie with an overly ornate logo and the name of the band—Victoria Punk—on the front.

“So it’s a punk band?” Law asked, unimpressed. Not exactly his choice of genre.

“Don’t worry, they don’t stick to just one genre,” Ikkaku reassured him, handing a bill to the cashier.

“Your boyfriend couldn’t have given you this stuff for free?” It wasn’t cheap, now that Law eyed the prices.

“He’s not exactly my boyfriend. Yet. And I want to show support.” She pulled the shirt over her head and it became obvious she’d bought too big of a size, she was practically drowning in it. “You should get one too, it’s warm.”

Law made a face. “Don’t want them thinking I’m a groupie.”

She shrugged. “Your loss.”

Once they made it back to the vicinity of the stage, Law immediately noticed the quality of the music had improved. A strikingly beautiful woman was playing something experimental on a shamisen. Not the type of music that had crowds screaming and fighting for the best spot in the front row but it seemed to have mesmerized a significant portion of the audience regardless.

“Come,” Ikkaku urged, pulling Law by the sleeve. “I want to get close to the stage.”

“I don’t think we’ve got much competition.”

“Not yet. That’s why it’s the best time.”

Once the performer finished, they watched as the stage crew arranged everything for the next band, carrying in new instruments and other equipment. The crowd kept getting thicker, pushing Law into the fence in front of him.

It was getting late and the temperature kept dropping, cutting sharply through Law’s thin jacket. He almost regretted not following Ikkaku’s suggestion and getting a hoodie of his own. He shifted from one foot to another, partly to keep his blood pumping and partly because he’d been standing for ages and his feet were starting to protest.

Ikkaku nudged him painfully with her elbow. “It’s starting!”

The first one to arrive was the drummer. He had long, grey hair and was wearing something you could barely call a corset. Law could appreciate his tattoos though—made to look like barbed wire that circled his neck and continued down his arms.

“That’s Heat,” Ikkaku said as he sat behind the drums. “And that’s Wire.”

A tall man followed soon after Heat, wearing a black cape and not that much else. The bass he was holding had multiple spikes sticking out of it. Seemed a bit much.

“That’s him! That’s him!” Ikkaku gushed once the next man appeared with a guitar. “Killer!”

Law didn’t always agree with her taste in men, or women, but this time he had to keep his mouth shut. Even without seeing his face—the man was wearing a mask of some kind—he could tell he was a catch. Glorious locks of soft looking, blonde hair and muscles everywhere you looked.

Before he got a chance to comment, a woman appeared, also carrying a guitar. She was by far the shortest of the group and had outdone everyone in skimpy dressing by going entirely topless bar for a few pieces of black tape covering her nipples.

"What's up fuckers?" she yelled into the microphone and received a deafening amount of screams from the audience.

“Victoria, I take it?” Law said to Ikkaku.

“How’d you guess?”

“She’s the lead?” Law guessed based on the band’s name.

“Huh? No, they’ve got a male vocalist although she joins sometimes,” Ikkaku said.

It sounded like she’d done her research, probably knew all the lyrics too. That meant she was serious about this guy and now that he’d seen him, Law understood why. Still, looks could be deceiving. He’d make sure nothing untoward happened tonight since he was already here.

The band started playing and the crowd erupted in screams as the last member of the group strutted on stage.

Law found himself staring, unable to look away. The singer being attractive was hardly shocking—rock stars tended to be like that. But this one wasn’t just good-looking, no, he was pretty damn close to perfect. Muscular, with a wide chest he’d decided to display despite the cold weather that already had his nipples standing so erect Law could see it all the way from the ground. And the pants he was wearing left absolutely nothing to the imagination, they hugged his round ass and thick thighs so tight they were almost like a second skin.

The man had flaming red hair, styled with enough product to keep it standing up and he clearly hadn’t skimped on the makeup. There were multiple piercings on his ears and the bridge of his nose, that made Law wonder what he was hiding under his pants.

“He’s Kid,” Ikkaku said, seconds before the volume of the music turned too loud to hear anything else.

Law stored the knowledge away without taking his eyes off the stage. Kid didn’t waste time on introductions or greetings, he simply fell right into the first song. Law was no expert on music, but even he could tell Kid was talented. His voice was smooth yet masculine, and he could carry a note even if the singing oftentimes devolved into screaming.

When the chorus came on, Ikkaku sang along with the rest of the people, the whole crowd jumping up and down with enough force that Law could feel the ground shake. He was definitely an odd one out, standing still and just admiring the view, but he no longer cared.

It wasn’t exactly the kind of music Law would’ve chosen to listen to on his own but even he had to admit it wasn’t bad. It was definitely on the heavier side, with dense bass and drums, but they also had a few calmer songs scattered in between. During one of those, Kid and Victoria shared a microphone, their faces so close together they could’ve kissed without moving.

“Are they together?” Law hissed into Ikkaku’s ear.

She let out a laugh. “No! I think they’re both gay.”

He hoped she was right. Not that it mattered because with this many admirers, this was as close as Law ever gonna get to the guy.

The band performed for well over an hour and yet Law barely noticed the time fly by. Too busy staring at Kid’s gyrating hips and the way sweat made his hair flop down over his eyes. He put so much energy into the performance, like he was born to do it, just watching it made Law feel exhausted.

At one point Kid even cozied up to Killer, grabbing him by the neck and giving his mask a long, slow lick. Law glanced at Ikkaku to see if she was bothered but she just seemed delighted by the display.

“That’s it, y’all!” Kid shouted into the mic after the last song. “See you bastards later!”

Law watched as Killer approached Kid and leaned in to whisper something. Kid’s eyes turned to scan the crowd and he spoke into the microphone again.

“Anybody called Ikkaku here tonight?”

Ikkaku immediately raised both of her hands, jumping up and down to make sure she was noticed, uncharacteristically giddy. She was allowed over the fence and she turned to smile at Law before dashing to the stage where Killer pulled her up effortlessly.

Law stared after her awkwardly. He wouldn’t be much help protecting her virtue if she was there, surrounded by security and rock stars while Law was left to fend for himself. Would Ikkaku get mad if he returned home without her? He didn’t get to find out because one of the security guards grabbed his arm as he was turning to leave.

“You too,” he said in a rough voice, nodding toward the stage.

Killer was waiting for him like a gentleman, extending his arm and pulling Law up, his arm muscles flexing hypnotizingly right in front of Law’s eyes.

“I’m Killer,” he said, still holding Law’s hand and turning the gesture into a handshake.

“So I’ve heard,” Law said, a little stunned. “I’m Law.”

“Yeah, Ikkaku talks about you a lot.”

“Only good things, I hope,” Law replied, already knowing she was more likely to complain about him than offer compliments.

“Yeah, of course,” Killer lied.

“We get to go backstage,” Ikkaku said, eyes shining like she was about to fulfill a childhood fantasy.

As long as it got them somewhere warm, Law was happy. And it wouldn’t hurt if he got a closer look at their vocalist either.

Had the concert venue been something more glamorous than a festival where most structures were temporary, the backstage might’ve been more impressive. Regardless, Law wasn’t about to voice any complaints when he was finally shielded from the wind and surrounded by sweaty men with very few clothes on.

Almost immediately Ikkaku moved to the corner with Killer. They seemed to be having an animated conversation and Ikkaku was smiling so widely Law didn't want to go and disturb them.

Instead, he stood there alone, scanning the room till his eyes found Kid. He was sprawled on the couch, legs spread and head leaning back, not leaving room for anyone else to sit down.

His eyes were closed and Law took the opportunity to stare at his pale, wide chest and those muscular arms, one of which had a large faded scar on it.

The way Kid's legs were wide open made it impossible to ignore the bulge between his legs. Was he fucking hard and not even trying to hide it?

Instinctively, Law was leaning forward, unable to tear his gaze off the scene before him. Therefore he was startled when a slim arm circled his waist.

"Close your legs! Whore," Victoria scolded Kid but her tone was jovial. "He does this all the time."

The last part was aimed at Law, her cute, freckled face staring up at Law while her arm squeezed him like they'd been buddies for years.

Kid opened his eyes slowly, turning his head towards them. He looked tired and disheveled, kinda like he'd been fucked hard and fast already.

"Who's this guy?" he asked, giving Law an appraising look.

"He's Ikkaku's friend so remember to behave," Victoria said.

"Ikkaku? Oh, Killer's chick?"

"Don't pretend you don't know when he's talked of nothing else all week." Victoria rolled her eyes. “And show some hospitality, I’ll get us drinks.”

Kid made a face but didn’t argue. He shuffled more to one side so Law had room to sit down too. Law took him up on it even if Kid didn’t seem too enthusiastic, he’d been standing most of the day and his feet were aching. He wasn’t complaining about being pressed so close to Kid either, even though his personality seemed less than stellar. Victoria seemed more down to earth, clearly she hadn’t let fame go to her head.

“You a fan or something?” Kid asked warily.

Law snorted. “Never heard of you guys before today.”

Kid relaxed noticeably at that. He turned to look at Law properly, squinting at his loose collar where a sliver of his tattoo was visible.

“You’ve got tats?”

“Yeah, you wanna see?” Law asked, surprising even himself.

It was unlike him to be this straightforward even when he wanted something but why waste a perfect opening to get things going?

Kid peered at his face, probably trying to determine whether he was serious. “Maybe I do.”

Victoria returned, arms full of cold beer bottles. Kid snagged two of them as he got up from the couch.

“Calling dibs on the bus,” he said.

“Really?” Victoria whined. “I wanted to talk to Law!”

“You girls can gossip later, c’mon.” Kid started towards the door.

“That’s fucking sexist!” she snarled, looking about ready to bash Kid over the head with one of the remaining bottles.

Law offered an apologetic smile to her before following after Kid.

The tour bus was not what Law had been expecting. When Kid had mentioned it, Law had imagined some messy, ramshackle thing that stank of sweat, spilled beer, and worse things. And yet what he walked into was the complete opposite—the interior was sleek and modern, not to mention surprisingly spacious. Clean too, to the level it had to be professional work.

Of course, it looked a little lived-in, articles of clothing thrown over a chair or an empty soda can here and there but nothing worse than that. Made you wonder how popular the band really was, being able to afford this.

Kid handed Law an open beer bottle, already busy downing his own like he’d drunk nothing all day.

“You guys seem to be doing well for yourselves,” Law commented, sipping his drink slowly.

In most situations, it would’ve been a faux pas to start the discussion with a topic like money but Law doubted Kid would give a shit. He seemed to have no interest in small talk or indirect questions.

“Well, yeah,” Kid said with a frown. “You really know fuck all about us, huh?”

“I wasn’t lying before.”

“Guess you’ve been living under a rock,” Kid chuckled. “Not that I care, it’s kinda hot.”

Had there been an incident with an over-eager fan or something, Law wondered. He was dying to know but that kind of question was bound to ruin the mood. He wouldn’t risk that.

Law lifted the bottle to his lips to take another sip and then Kid was stepping into his personal space, pulling the bottle from his fingers.

“You’re being slow,” he said and downed what remained in the bottle himself before tossing it on the floor.

Law watched it roll across the carpet, feeling the urge to pick it up and set it somewhere for recycling. However, that thought evaporated fast enough as Kid crowded him against a desk, his hips pressing into Law’s.

“You better keep your promise,” Kid said, his hand pushing under Law’s shirt, those painted nails scraping against his stomach.

“Hmm?” It took a moment for Law to remember what Kid was referring to, too busy staring at the other man’s lips. “Oh, the tattoos.”

He shrugged his jacket off easily and the shirt under it came off even faster with Kid’s assistance.

“Nice,” Kid said, running his fingers over the inky pattern on Law’s chest. “You’re actually really hot.”

“Thanks”, Law replied, his tone sarcastic.

Kid smirked at him. “Don’t be like that. You just seemed super uptight before.”

“And you still seem super fucking rude.”

“Been told that before,” Kid said, unfazed.

And then, without warning, he picked Law up and sat him down on the desk. Before Law could protest the manhandling, Kid had leaned in and caught his mouth in a kiss. Fuck it, Law could complain later when Kid’s hard-on wasn’t pressing into him and his mouth wasn’t being invaded by someone else’s tongue.

Kid’s mouth tasted like the expensive beer they’d both been drinking but he knew how to kiss. It was hard and demanding, clearly signaling that Kid was the one in charge. Law could live with that, at least tonight. He wrapped his legs around Kid, pulling him even closer.

Kid broke the kiss only to bury his face in Law's neck, licking and kissing his sensitive skin. Law leaned back, his head hitting the mirror behind him as Kid’s teeth nipped at his throat. Kid was definitely no longer the only one with a hard-on.

Law clawed at the waist of Kid’s pants, trying to pull them down. “I want to—”

His sentence turned into a gasp as Kid pushed a hand into the tight space between them to rub at Law’s crotch.

“Yeah?” Kid prompted. “What do you want?”

It was difficult to form thoughts, let alone words, with Kid’s hand between his legs. “Just something, anything.”

Kid huffed out a laugh, squeezing Law’s dick one last time before pulling back and allowing Law to stand up. As one, they stripped off the rest of their clothes and Law got a few seconds to admire Kid’s massive cock before Kid bent him over the desk.

“You better use a condom,” Law warned him.

Kid scoffed. “I’m not fucking stupid, you know.”

He pulled open a drawer and rummaged around it until he found a condom and lube. His personality may have left something to be desired, but at least he wasn’t an asshole when it came to sex, it seemed. Kid even spent a while warming the lube before pushing his fingers inside Law.

Law might’ve tried to argue he didn’t need prep but he’d seen what Kid was packing so he decided to play it safe. Kid’s fingers working him open weren’t exactly unwelcome.

“You ready?” Kid asked after a while.

His voice was hoarse with arousal but Law didn’t get the sense that he was trying to rush him.

“Yeah, yeah,” Law panted, immediately missing the fingers as they withdrew.

Kid used his teeth to rip open the condom—Law would have to give him a lecture about that later. Right now, he wasn’t in the right headspace, especially when Kid started pushing in. He took his time, allowing Law to adjust to the intrusion even though it was clear from his breathing and the tenseness of his body that he was holding himself back.

“You’re so fucking tight,” Kid groaned once he was fully inside.

Law chose to take the compliment, Kid didn’t need to know how long it’d been since Law had seen any action apart from his own hand.

He could feel every inch of Kid inside him, hard and throbbing and he might go insane from that alone. “You can move.”

Kid didn’t need to be told twice. He pulled out and then pushed back in, the movement so desperate it made Law gasp out loud and forced him to grab the edge of the desk for dear life. He managed to knock over a few lipsticks and other make-up supplies, but Kid was too busy to notice.

The chill from outside was only a distant memory now. Law’s heart was pumping blood greedily and Kid’s hands on his hips were hot like a brand.

The mirror was only inches from Law's face and he’d been avoiding looking at it, not wanting to see his own face when he was spread open and taken from behind. But a chance to get a glimpse of Kid’s expression was too tempting and so Law lifted his head and did his best to ignore his own reflection.

Kid was just… a sight to behold. He looked wrecked, from the show before and now this, thrusting into Law wildly, breath hitching, a drop of sweat sliding down that elegant nose. His eyes were downcast, staring at Law’s ass. He was biting his bottom lip, maybe to keep from making too much sound or to distract himself so he wouldn’t come too fast.

It was pretty fucking good just like this but Law knew it could be even better, with just a little adjustment. He arched his back and Kid seemed to take the hint because he slowed down minutely, shifting the angle a few times till Law let out an encouraging moan.

He wasn’t prepared for it when Kid’s hand grabbed his hair, yanking his head up and forcing him to look in the mirror where he met Kid’s eyes, staring at him intently. Law couldn’t think of anything to say, every thrust of Kid’s hips sending a new spark of pleasure through his body and distracting him from rational thought. All he knew was that he couldn’t look away, wanting to see the expression on Kid’s face when he came.

“I’m close,” Kid said between clenched teeth.

“Yeah, ah, same,” Law breathed, not expecting it when Kid pulled him back up.

Kid’s arm was circled around Law’s torso, pulling him flush against Kid’s chest. With this much skin-to-skin contact, the new position felt considerably more intimate. Vulnerable too, because Law had nothing left to lean on, apart from Kid, even though his legs were turning to jelly from the way Kid rolled his hips into him, deliberate and steady.

“Fuck that’s,” Law panted, struggling for breath, “so good.”

Kid grunted against his shoulder, his thrusts becoming more erratic. His arm was squeezing Law so tight it was almost painful and being slightly taller—and significantly stronger—he was practically lifting Law off the ground as he fucked into him.

Being manhandled like this did something to Law’s brain and there was no holding back when the orgasm hit him, making his vision black out with pleasure. All he could do was trust that Kid wouldn’t let go as Law gasped and clenched around him, his legs trembling.

He opened his eyes just in time to catch Kid’s expression in the mirror as he came, crying out with the strength of the orgasm as he thrust in one last time, as deep as he could, his hand clinging to Law's hip and keeping him in place.

Even after his breathing had slowed down, Kid seemed reluctant to let Law go, and they stood there, pressed together with the sweat drying on their skin. The surface of the desk in front of them was covered in cum from Law’s orgasm and Kid chuckled tiredly when he noticed it.

“We should just leave it there.”

Law snorted. “You think the others will ever let you bring anyone back here if you do that?”

“Like they can tell me what to do, I’m the boss.”

“Yeah, I bet you are,” Law said, stepping out of Kid’s embrace.

He wasn’t that eager to part ways either, but he refused to wait till he’d have to fish the condom out of his ass. Kid let him go although not without a few feeble sounds of protest. While he got rid of the condom, Law chose to do the responsible thing and wipe the desk so it was at least relatively clean.

He started gathering his clothes, wondering if it’d be alright to use the shower before he tried to locate Ikkaku.

“What are you doin’?” Kid asked as he returned from the bathroom.

“Leaving?”

“The fuck you are.” Kid snatched the pile of clothes from his arms and threw it on the couch. “Let’s go to bed.”

“Ikkaku—”

“Is no doubt fucking Killer’s brains out as we speak, she’s not going home anytime soon,” Kid interrupted him.

He had a point, Law had to admit. Plus spending the whole day outdoors and then having sex had depleted his energy more than it had any right to. A nap didn’t sound so bad, especially a nap with Kid, no matter how crass he could be.

“Fine,” Law agreed, climbing into bed with Kid, who immediately pulled him in to play the little spoon.

“Wake me up when you get horny,” Kid said, giving Law’s stomach a light pat.

“I only agreed to sleep. I might not want a second round.”

“You will,” Kid assured him, somehow managing to sound both confident and like he was already half asleep.

And damnit, but he was probably right.
