Chapter Text

Izuku hated people his own age.

Actually, he hated people that were other ages too, but he's talking about his age group right now.

He hates teenagers, they suck. They were moody and rude and didn't make any sense. At least, in his eyes.

That's why he never made any friends. He had tried, when he was younger, but that didn't work out so well. Now he had an angry blonde that wouldn't leave him alone.

Izuku was a little ashamed to admit that he had wanted to be friends with Bakugo when he was younger. He gave him that cutesy nickname 'Kacchan' and followed after him like a baby duck to its mother.

Bakugo always yelled about it though. He'd push Izuku over and pull his hair and laugh when he cried about the pain. It was dumb, but Izuku always ran off crying to his big brother afterwards and would get hugs and treats so it wasn't so bad.

Eventually he stopped wanting to be friends with the blonde at all and ignored him. For some reason, Bakugo didn't like that and started chasing him around instead. Real weird one that guy.

Anyway, the point is, he hates people his age. That's why he didn't have friends and he didn't want any friends.

Yamada had told him that he should try and branch out, and he immediately scoffed at the idea.

He didn't think that friends would be very useful and they'd only be disgusted if he told them about his love for his older brother.

So, he obviously didn't take his advice to heart. But it seemed that life was determined to have him be around people his age.

Izuku met Tenya Iida in middle school. It was their last year and he had just moved schools after getting fed up with Bakugo bothering him. He expected no one to really care about the new kid.

He transferred halfway through the school year and everyone already knew each other. Izuku was just the plain looking new kid that came from a different school no one had ever heard of.

It was a private school filled with privileged assholes who bleed their parents dry of their money like snooty vampires who require riches to survive. Izuku's parents may not have been home a lot, but they had plenty of money. The only reason he even went to public schools was due to his and Shota's insistence.

(Shota had gone to private schools up until high school and it really wasn't a good place for him to make friends or be a normal kid. He was completely alone up until high school, where he met some like minded individuals.)

He was right about no one caring, mostly. There was only one person who seemed to care about the new kid outside of people asking what public schools were like, or what a 'poor person's' school lunch looked like.

Tenya Iida, the second Iida brother from the Iida Ten family. Their company made and sold all kinds of car parts, from engines to cosmetics, it was quite the company.

Tenya took it upon himself to introduce Izuku to everything the school had to offer. He gave a tour of the school, made sure he knew where his classes were, and helped him learn the rulebook from cover to front.

At first, Izuku had been pretty annoyed with the others' presence, but he quickly realized that he was actually extremely helpful. It would have taken him weeks to get through everything Tenya showed him in just those first two days.

The blue haired boy may have been a real stickler for the rules, but Izuku quickly found himself almost able to call him a real friend.

Tenya was the only one who would partner up with him for projects, so it wasn't long before Izuku invited him over.

He didn't think about it too much. They worked on their project, talked a little, and went their separate ways afterwards.

It was only after the school year ended that Izuku was finally able to call him a real friend.

Izuku had been invited over Tenya's house for the very first time. He had no trouble getting out of the house, no one was there to see him leave so no one was able to ask him where he was going.

Tenya was waiting at the front door when he arrived. Izuku was quickly taken into the house and they made their way to one of the building's many lounges.

Izuku had to set up the TV because apparently Tenya didn't use it often enough to know how to find the thing they wanted to watch. He didn't blame him though, it was honestly what he expected.

The two of them ended up sitting on the floor and eating snacks as they watched the movie and talked.

Izuku then noticed a framed picture of Tenya's older brother.

"Is that your older brother?" He gestured over to the picture and nibbled on a chip. The man in the picture looked about as old as Shota. Actually, didn't he see that man once before?

"Oh!" Tenya's face practically split in half as a smile spread across his face, "Yes! That is my older brother, Tensei. He's working his way up as the next head of the company, I hope to follow in his footsteps."

To anyone else, that statement would seem innocent. To anyone else, it would just seem like a simple younger brother looking up to their older brother.

But Izuku isn't anyone else, and he could tell that that statement held some dark secrets.

"I look up to my older brother too!" Izuku matched his smile, "He's the best, and I really love him. I wish he'd visit more often, but I know he has his own life to live."

"Ah, yes," Tenya adjusted his glasses and stared longingly at the photo, "I understand that feeling, very well."

"How well?" Izuku raised an eyebrow and tilted his head. "How well do you understand?"

Tenya turned and stared Izuku in the eye. He took a moment to search his gaze before answering, "Depends on what you're asking."

"I'm asking whether or not you and your brother like to 'play' together. My brother and I do it every time he visits home."

"Mine doesn't visit often, but…" Tenya audibly gulped as he turned back to the picture, "We like to 'play' as well. It's very… Relaxing."

Izuku's smile got impossibly wider at his friend's words. "I was 8 the first time, what about you? I learned a lot from my brother about it."

"Also 8," Tenya visibly relaxed. "I did too. He was very thorough about teaching me. I like to call them 'lessons' rather than 'playing'."

Izuku laughed, "That makes it sound boring though!"

"But, it keeps others from asking questions. They think he's teaching me about the company."

"Ah, the life of a corporation's heir, how interesting."

"Tensei's the heir, not me."

"Eh, it still counts."

"It does not-"

He was right! Izuku was right and he finally, finally made a friend! Someone who understands and knows. Someone that he didn't have to hide around.

After that day, Izuku spent more time with Tenya. They often went to each other's houses and swapped stories about their favorite brotherly activities, but they did other stuff too. They played actual games (because they only wanted to be with their respective brother's) and Izuku even started showing Tenya some of his favorite shows!

Eventually Izuku realized something.

No one knew he had made a friend.

To be fair, they only hung out when their parents were gone and their brother's weren't home, but still.

He hadn't realized it until Yamada had told him to "make some friends", and even at the time he had forgotten about his friendship with Tenya because of his anger at Yamada.

Izuku thought that maybe he should mention his friend to someone, anyone, else.

So, on one of the very rare days that his parents didn't have work, he told them.

"Can I invite Tenya over?"

Well, he kinda told them? In his own way.

"Who's Tenya?" His Dad blinked in surprise, looking up from the book in his hand and peaking over the top of his glasses. Man he's old.

"My friend, from school."

"You have a friend-?" His Dad's sentence was cut off by a cough as his Mom's elbow met his stomach.

"Don't be rude!" She huffed, "Of course you can invite them over! I'll make snacks! Oh oh, what about a sleepover!? I should grab blankets!" She jumped out of her seat with her hands clasped in front of her like a prayer.

"Honey I think you should calm down-" His Dad started.

His Mom squealed, cutting him off mid sentence, and yelled "Izuku's first sleepover!" Then ran off.

"Honey wait-!" His Dad followed after her.

That went well.

A couple hours later, Izuku found himself eating celery sticks and carrots while watching his Mom fuss over Tenya. He had to give it to him though, the blue haired boy took it in stride and easily answered all her questions without tipping her off to anything odd.

He was a great friend, exactly what he needed. They would make some great chaos together.

They were talking for a while after his Mom went back downstairs, but then they ran out of snacks so Izuku decided to go grab some chips and water from the kitchen.

As he was balancing his prizes in his arms, Izuku heard the front door swing open.

"I'm home." He heard Shota call out. Izuku could hear him mumbling to someone else as he entered the house.

He hadn't expected Shota to come over that day at all. They hadn't planned anything, he triple checked, twice! Okay maybe that counts as checking 6 times, but still.

Either way, Izuku was still glad he was home! He loved seeing Shota, even if they couldn't play like he wanted to.

"Welcome home!" Izuku finally yelled out to greet his brother and peaked into the front room to see him. His arms were still filled with snacks, but he could at least say hi.

Shota stood next to a tall blue haired boy.

A very familiar tall blue haired boy.

Avery familiar tall blue haired boy who look almost exactly like the tall blue haired boy that was in Izuku's bedroom at that moment.

Tensei Iida was standing next to his big brother.

"Hello…?" Izuku mumbled.

Tensei waved excitedly, "Hey there! You must be Izuku! Shota talks about you all the time!"

"I do not." Shota huffed, shuffling off his shoes before he stepped over to hug Izuku. He did his best to hug back, but refused to let go of his snacks.

"Yes you definitely do, Nemuri would agree wholeheartedly." Tensei laughed, following Shota's example and taking off his own shoes. The man paused for a moment and stared down at Tenya's shoes with a confused look. "Hey-"

"Izuku, this is Tensei Iida, a friend of mine." Shota introduced, not knowing that the introduction wasn't all that useful.

"Oh!" Izuku smiled warmly at Tensei. Best to make a good impression on Tenya's big brother, they had a lot in common after all. "Nice to finally meet you Tensei! You're Tenya's older brother, right?"

"Y-Yeah! That's me!" Tensei smiled, "You know Tenya?"

Izuku nodded, "He's upstairs in my room. We're having a sleepover!"

Both Shota and Tensei seemed to have some kind of blue-screen moment as Izuku watched varying degrees of horror flash through both of their eyes.

"A sleepover?" Shota dragged out the word as if he'd never heard it before.

"Yes!" He happily nodded, turning back to face the stairs, "Our very first one! It'll be so much fun!" Without letting them have another word, Izuku ran back upstairs and into his room.

"Wait- Izuku-!" Was all he heard his brother say before he closed his bedroom door.

"I'm back with the snacks!" Izuku snickered and dumped the pile onto his bed. "And guess who's downstairs right now."

Tenya tilted his head and picked up a bag of chips, "Who?"

"Both of our brothers!"

"I'm sorry what-?" Tenya coughed into his elbow and adjusted his glasses, "Th-They know each other?"

"Apparently so." Izuku shrugged and flopped onto the floor. "But it doesn't look like either of them know about the other's 'brotherly bonding' habits."

Tenya nodded and adjusted his glasses, "A shame, they could swap ideas like we do."

"Speaking of, have you tried anything new lately?"

"Well actually, the other day Tensei and I…"

"Wait- Izuku-!" Shota's call went unanswered as his little brother slammed his bedroom door. "Damn it…" He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"So, uh, Tenya and Izuku know each other." Tensei seemed to be just as confused as Shota was at the revelation.

"Apparently." He huffed and plopped down onto the couch, "Did you know about this?"

Tensei shook his head and sat in the recliner, "No, not at all. Tenya didn't say a word."

The two fell into a contemplative silence.

Shota didn't know how to feel about Izuku making friends with Tenya. He was happy for him, of course, but he was his baby brother and Shota wanted to have him to himself for as long as possible. 15 years was not nearly enough, maybe 20 or 30 years would be better.

He is not pouting, he's not.

He's just worried about what his innocent little baby brother was doing with his friend.

"-Then Tensei said 'So it's gonna be like that' and pushed my legs up until my knees were next to my ears."

"Wasn't that uncomfortable? You have a lot more muscle than I do, especially on your legs." Izuku gestured towards his friend as he popped a stick of Pocky into his mouth.

"Certainly, but it didn't matter to me in the moment. I was more preoccupied with the way my brother was pounding my unprepped anus."

"Shota did that to me once before too! Well, not anally, but I think it still counts."

"That reminds me, what's it like having a vagina?"

"Oh it's pretty fun! It's all soft and squishy inside, wanna feel?"

"Uh…"
