Work Text:
Pale thin fingers traced down the bare skin of his arm. Surely this wasn't how it felt for everyone when being touched by the one they love? He felt as though his skin would catch fire and not stop until it consumed him whole.
Regulus' eyes where opal pools of shimmering light. Somewhere you could lose yourself into for hours. His body small, still colt like but endearing. Being with him was the only thing that made sense in Lucius' whole life... and it was tearing his guts out.
Why was life so unkind? Why couldn't he be ignorant of this feeling? To love, and be loved so fiercely but forced to marry another.
"I'm sorry..." Lucius' hair fell around his shoulders, outlining his face in a beautiful shroud of blonde. The torment was evident in his voice. Regulus knew it well. But he didn't care. Lucius' betrothal to his cousin didn't bother him much. He knew what they had couldn't last, not being the people that they were. Not with the lives they had to lead. Not with their family names.
"Don't be. I'm not. I'll take every moment with you that you'll give me." He brushed his thumb gently across Lucius' cheek where a tear had fallen. "And I'll give you all of mine."
