Robin blinked to consciousness and realized she was moving. Scanning around with bleary eyes, beginning to register where she was. Large, warm arms cradled her, as her head rested against a hard expanse of muscle. The slow realization that she was being carried dawned on her.
She looked up, unsure what to expect. Blue hair and a pointed chin took up her vision, he faced forward as he moved. Robin’s heart gave a squeeze.
“Hmmm. Franky.” She mumbled, nuzzling her head into his chest. The cyborg’s eyes flicked to her face from under his sunglasses, an amused smile crept across his face.
“Ah, you’re alive, that’s a good sign.” He chuckled.
“Where are we?” She asked, lifting her head, barely able to get it up, before flopping it back against him.
“I’m taking you to your room, since for some reason you decided to take Nami up on that stupid bet.” his voice sounded warm, comforting.
Robin nodded, the fog that hung over her brain started to lift. The Strawhats had been having a feast and partying on the deck, Brooke now a member of their crew. Sanji had made a snarky comment about Zoro’s drinking, causing a pretty typical fight between them. Somewhere in the midst of this, Nami had bet Robin that she couldn’t drink more than him. For reasons that now eluded her, Robin had taken her up on that bet. With every cup, the warm spring night began to blur and next thing she knew, she was in Franky’s arms. She rarely let herself lose face in front of her crewmates, and it felt good to be the person being taken care of every once in a while. Especially from The Shipwright.
They’d been spending more time together lately, and while she cherished her friendship with the other pirates, it was nice to have another adult to talk to. He had endless stories and jokes to tell her. She'd been laughing more since hanging around him, his antics were so earnest she couldn’t help herself. Even when he wasn’t meaning to he’d made her smile; he’d go on about his new project he was excited about, or gush over her silly doodles like they were art. How could she not enjoy herself?
With their musician now on board, she’d been able to hear Franky play his guitar as accompaniment. She could do without the occasional impromptu songs, but it was sweet when he and Brooke played together. She figured the spontaneity of the man was a part of his charm.
And recently that charm had some strange effect on her. She’d caught herself watching him intently whenever he worked; finding herself appreciating a man who would build something for you at the slightest hint that she wanted it. His skin was tanned and shone under the hot sun as he worked on the ship, and there was a lot of skin to see. Once, while he was lifting a piece of timber twice his size she eyed his hands, assuming they were rough and calloused. She wondered what they’d feel like on her delicate skin.
These were, however, inside thoughts. Nami had asked for her opinion on the shipwright recently, and she gave a non-committal answer. Her desire to know what it was like to touch the blue hair on his stomach didn’t need to be shared. She could keep her thoughts and her hands to herself. Franky kept being endearing though, and now here he was; gingerly carrying her to bed when she was indisposed. She let herself revel in his attention. She breathed him in as she rubbed her face into his chest. He smelled like cedar and cola, an unexpected discovery, she’d assumed him to be more metallic. She could also hear his heartbeat through his ribs, as well as some clicking sound she inferred was from gears grinding together.
The schematics of his body must be so intricate she thought curiously, softly touching his collar bone and following the line of it to his sternum.
She felt Franky shift her slightly as he used his elbow to nudge open the door. Entering the girl’s room he gave it a quick look around.
“Yours is the one with the books on it, I’m assuming?” He asked with a laugh. When she nodded sleepily, he moved to hold her with one arm so he could use the other to move the novels aside. She sat in the crook of his elbow and admired how he handled her like she weighed almost nothing. As he bent to pick up a book that lay flat open on the bed, his hand moved to grip her thigh and keep her in place. Robin started.
As she suspected, his hand was rough and warmer than she anticipated. He held her tightly, not letting her budge as he worked; the contact sent heat throughout her body. She wouldn’t be opposed to him doing that to other places.
“Alright Nico Robin, you’re all set. I’ll go get you some water and then you should knock out for the night.” Franky said, patting her knees with his other hand. As he shifted to lay her down on her bed, Robin had a rush of inspiration. The two of them were alone in her room. The crew was likely to be busy the rest of the night, there was no reason not to indulge some academic curiosity. Like what a cyborg might taste like.
Franky still had a hold of her, when hands began to bloom from his shoulders, pulling him onto the bed with her. In a flurry of motion and petals, Robin flipped him over onto his back and straddled him. She felt off-kilter, either adrenaline or alcohol made the world spin. She grabbed the chain around Franky’s neck for purchase.
“What the f-“ he cried before a finger came up to quiet him. Robin looked down at him, surveying her prize. The man’s face was a deep red, his mouth open in shock. He wore one of his ghastly colored button ups that she adored, though it didn’t cover much. Gold jewelry adorned his neck and ears , interwoven with her fingers. His hands gripped the sheets below him, seemingly trying not to touch her. She smiled wickedly and hummed to herself, proud. Reaching up she pulled off his sunglasses and leaned close to his face. His eyes were wide.
“Oi, Robin! What’re you…?” he choked out, his voice tight.
“Franky, we've spent a lot of time together recently, which I’ve enjoyed immensely” she drug a finger down his jaw line, she felt him clench his teeth. “And it seems I’ve developed a bit of curiosity I want to explore tonight.”
She bent down and grazed her lips against his gently. The hand she had pressed against his chest felt his heart start to pound.
“I’m going to kiss you Franky.” she whispered against his lips, rubbing her nose against his. He swallowed hard, his eyes never leaving hers.
“Robin, I’m not sure-“ she cut him off, crushing their mouths together. Her other hand tangled in his hair, pulling him closer so she could dominate his mouth. He groaned under her, his tense body starting to melt. When she slipped her tongue past his lips, wrestling for control, he wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her body flush with him, encasing her with the heat of his strong arms. He ran a hand up her back, leaving a trail of electricity shooting up Robin’s spine. The other gripped her waist, holding her in place. Robin gasped at the touch, wriggling with pleasure.
Robin’s limbs felt restless, wanting to move and touch the man everywhere as quickly as possible. Her brain was out of focus, blurred around the edges. Her only objective, to put her mouth on man between her legs. She nipped at his lip, just enough for him to flinch. His face was scowling but Robin could see the lust heavy in his eyes. She wanted to feel more of him, taste more of him. She wanted to indulge all her baser instincts and let Franky turn her into a mess. She wanted to do the same to him. She knew she could.
Pressing a kiss along his jaw, she made a path up to his ear, biting the pierced lobe. Franky hissed and tightened his grip on Robin. She licked the shell of his ear before moving down to his neck, open mouthed kisses and bites leaving a path of destruction in her wake.
“Robin,” Franky breathed out, his voice raspy. Robin’s body shivered. She wanted him to say her name more. She shifted her hips against Franky’s, surprised at the pressure. He was hard, and straining against his briefs. In a sigh of pleasure she ground her hips down on him, feeling herself clench at the friction. Franky moaned beneath her, bucking up to meet her body. Robin gasped and clenched her fingers tighter into his hair, leaving a harsh bite on his neck.
“Robin,” Franky breathed again “Hey wait-“ she cut him off again, her mouth finding his. She felt a grumble deep in Franky’s chest. In a swift movement, Robin suddenly found herself on her back, her wrists pinned to the bed by large hands. Franky loomed over her, his brow furrowed and breathing heavy.
“Wait a minute, Nico Robin.” He huffed out, his eyes wild. “We’ve got to stop.”
Robin stared, the fever of her yearning and the alcohol in her system clouding her mind. When she finally focused enough, her cheeks started to heat. Franky was looking at her sternly, his mouth pressed into a line. This is embarrassing. She’d assumed he’d be okay with her coming on to him, that he’d reciprocate the feelings even. He did not seem too pleased, however.
“Oh. Franky I’m so sor-“ she started before Franky interrupted her.
“Hold up. Before you start assuming things in that big ol’ brain of yours,” he gently bumped his forehead against hers. “I’m not stopping you because I don’t want to do this. Believe me, I really really want to.”
Robin wanted to shrink in on herself, the small piece of self doubt in her heart wormed its way out of her mouth.
“You don’t have to lie,” she said quietly. Franky sighed and rolled his eyes before fixing her with an annoyed look. He thrust against her then, dragging himself against her core so she could feel his hardness. She cried out at the touch and then clamped her mouth shut, the surprise reddening her cheeks more.
“I wouldn’t lie to you Robin,” Franky chided. “I don’t get this way for just anyone. It just wouldn’t be very super of me to take advantage of a drunk person.”
The tight ravel of anxiety in her chest loosened. She felt a little admonished.
“Oh… I’m sorry.”
“Would you quit apologizing? I’m not mad at you. Later, when you’re sober, we can try this again.” Franky laughed a little.
“You know, I wouldn’t mind continuing now.” she raised her eyebrows at him. The cyborg shook his head.
“No ma’am. You’re drunk. Besides, what’s the point of making you scream my name out if you’re just gonna forget it in the morning anyway?” He winked at her, chuckling when she scrunched her face.
“Those are very big words, Mr.Cyborg.”
“Which I intend to follow through on if you decide you want me to. But only when you’re sober, okay?”
Robin frowned and looked to the side, disappointment blossoming. Fine. If she had to sleep instead of exploring this man’s body like she wanted, she at least was not going to sleep alone.
“Okay. You have to stay with me though, I don’t want to be by myself.” she looked up at him, determination in her eyes. He smirked down at her but nodded in agreement. Releasing her wrists, he shifted so he was on his side next to her. She rolled over, still slightly groggy in her movements, and pressed her back into Franky’s chest. She hummed when he wrapped one arm around her and wiggled the other under her head so she could use it as a pillow.
They laid that way for a while, Robin studying how Franky’s chest moved. as he breathed behind her. She brushed her hand on his forearm, gently following the edges of his tattoo with her finger.
“Can you tell me a story?” she murmured, snuggling into her pillow more. She felt Franky laugh behind her.
“Aren’t we a bit old for bedtime stories?” he asked.
“Probably. When I was a child I’d always read to put myself to sleep since I didn’t have a parent to do it for me, I always thought it must be nice though. Soothing”
Franky hummed and was quiet for a second before starting.
“Once upon a time there was a girl named… Mobin,” he tried. Robin let out a bark of laughter, his attempt filled her with joy.
“Oh, wow. You’re actually bad at this.” she giggled, her shoulders shaking.
“Hey, shut up. You get what you get.” He scolded “ Anyway, Mobin was a bright and intelligent girl, who loved to explore and solve mysteries. She spent her days learning and helping the townsfolk find lost items and clear up misunderstandings. Everyone was glad she was there.”
Robin sighed contentedly. She’d suggested this almost jokingly, but found she genuinely enjoyed it. She let herself start to get lulled into sleep at the sound of Franky's voice, his chest rumbling against her back.
“What the townsfolk didn’t know was that Mobin’s dream was to explore the world. So secretly she met up with the local shipwright who also wanted to sail the seas named uh. Lanky. And together they built a super ship to take them around all the water of the world. And they were happy, the end.”
Franky waited when he’d finished, expecting Robin to chastise him for it being too short. When she didn’t move, he leaned over to check her face. She was breathing evenly, her eyes closed, cheek squished against his bicep. She looked perfectly satisfied. He let out a deep sigh and kissed the side of Robin’s head before settling back down.
“This woman’s actually going to be the death of me.”

Robin woke up the next morning wishing she were not aware of her own consciousness. Her brain pounded against her skull and she didn’t even want to think. Thoughts would hurt too much. Letting out a deep groan at the strain of her eyes, she shakily lifted herself up to her elbows. She was alone in her room, Nami was probably already up on deck.
She could barely remember the night before, her memory blurred by alcohol and bad decisions. She had gotten drunk up on deck and then somehow ended the evening back in her room. She owed whoever carried her downstairs a debt of gratitude. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the glass of water and two aspirin on her night stand. She groaned again, the crew took good care of her even when she’d made a fool of herself.
Closing her eyes, she rubbed her face, trying to piece together the evening. She got flashes of the bonfire, but most enticing was the dream she’d had after falling asleep. She’d gotten to touch the object of her affection, put her mouth on him, have him touch her back. A shudder ran down her at the thought of dream Franky’s hands on her wrists. How she wished she could test it out in real life.
Struggling to a sitting position she took the pills and downed the entire glass. The cool water went down and spread out to her limbs, giving her some relief from her hangover. She knew better than to be drinking this much, this close to 30, but her crew mates gave her false confidence in her abilities.
With great effort she forced herself up and to the bathroom to soak in the bathtub, washing the sweat and grime away from the previous night. The feeling of being clean felt like pure bliss.
Feeling refreshed and slightly less achy, she donned sunglasses and loose clothing, preparing for the day.
When she entered the kitchen, she grimaced at the noise. Her usually rowdy crew is as lively as ever. They sat around the kitchen table eating the tasty meal the cook had made. Franky showed her a wide grin while chatting with Brooke. He had a large bandage on his neck, he’d probably got into some trouble last night. It wouldn’t be the first time. She gave him a weak smile in return, seeing him after that dream was a little jarring. Robin felt an arm wrap around her neck.
“Robiiiiiin, you survived! I’m so proud of you!” Nami laughed loudly, slapping her on the back. Robin winced but nodded, gratefully accepting the coffee that Sanji put into her hands.
“Zoro still reigns supreme!” Luffy cheered, pumping his fists in the air. Nami reached out and slapped him upside the head.
“Hey, quit shouting! Robin’s hungover!” she yelled at him before slapping her hand over her mouth “Oh shit, sorry Robin.”
“It’s okay, really, I have no one to blame but myself.” she laughed while taking a long sip of her drink.
“I don’t know how you did it! I couldn’t stomach it! Not that I have a stomach! Yohoho!” Brooke cackled at his own joke. Luffy joined in while the rest of the group groaned.
“How much do you actually remember?” Nami asked, sliding Robin a plate of pastries. “Other than the fact that you owe me 50 berries for losing”
“Honestly not too much after around… drink three, I believe.” She took another sip of her coffee. She was sure that the crew would tease her about this for a while, but it was a small price to pay.
As the group wrapped up breakfast and started to disperse, Chopper urged her to rest for the day. The little doctor even encouraged her to take a nap in the med bay should she need to. She thought she just might take him up on that. While chatting with him, a large hand patted her head. She turned to see Franky walk out the door shooting her a finger gun before it closed. Her heart clenched. She found herself wishing again her dream had been real life.

After her drunken night, robin had taken to replaying the bits of her dream she could remember over in her head. Concocting different scenarios and ways it could’ve played out. It made her usual routine of chatting with Franky while he worked, a little dangerous. She’d zone out while staring at him, hyper-focusing on his fingers or his eye lashes. He’d had to wave his hand in front of her face to get her attention on more than one occasion.
It wasn’t as if she hadn’t thought about being physical with Franky, but lately it was becoming too much. Whenever he touched her the fantasies became more and more real. Every touch left her skin heated, every wink left her heart racing. She couldn’t even enjoy her hobby of admiring him without becoming too aware of how close he was to her. This development was frustrating. She wasn’t used to being flustered, especially not by the sunglasses-wearing weirdo who occupied her fantasies.
With determination she made a vow to not let these annoying reactions ruin her routine. She would simply not acknowledge them, and they’d cease to be.
She sat behind Franky on the deck as he grumbled about Luffy getting a fork stuck in a pillar that was supposed to move.
“How the hell did he even do this?” he griped, reaching a hand behind him and waggling his fingers at Robin. She chuckled and handed him the screwdriver he’d given her earlier.
“Luffy is a boy of many talents.” she remarked, leaning forward to watch him maneuver the screwdriver against the stuck utensil. She used his concentration as an excuse to look him over. His large frame was covered in tight muscles and minimal clothing to let him use whatever of his inventions he needed. He looked like he’d been sculpted, and in a way she figured he had been. He probably ran hot, great for a winter's night in bed. She shook her head, looking back at the screwdriver. That one was starting to get away from her. Grunting, he got up on his knees and looked closely at it.
“I think I got this, hold on.” He grabbed hold of the fork and gave it a great tug. It released easier than Franky had anticipated, sending him flying backwards from the momentum. He tipped over and landed directly into Robin’s lap, his head smacking against her thighs with a slap.
“Ow, fuck.” he groaned, looking up at Robin’s face, lifting up the fork. “Heh. I got it”
He gave her a huge grin, his face showing genuine pride over such a small victory. Robin stared down at him, her hands hovering just above his shoulders, not touching them. She had a realization then, that her plan of not acknowledging that Franky made her feel like the sun was shining on her, was doomed to failure.

Ignoring how Franky made her feel was going terribly. Her impulses of reaching out and grazing him with her fingers had ramped up. She’d had to stop herself multiple times from running her hands through his hair when he leaned toward her. It was truly getting to be too much.
Robin opted to stop spending near as much time with him. She was not a fan of this option but until she got herself under control again, it’d have to do. Whenever Franky wandered near her she casually pretended like she was engrossed in a conversation. When he invited her to help him out, she politely declined, claiming she was much too busy. She was not. She wanted to follow him around and let him entertain her. She wanted to shove him into the bathroom and have her way with him. But she didn’t. She could control herself. Nami caught her eye while she pondered this, eyeing her as she watched Franky leave.
Robin sat on the deck’s lawn chair, sipping her drink and trying to read. More than once she caught herself skimming the same paragraph over and over, absorbing none of the information. As she tried for the fifth time to process the passage on the historical value of certain methods of recording, Nami plopped down on the chair next to her. Robin smiled up at her and went to sip her drink again.
“Robin. I know I’ve already asked this, but seriously, what is your deal with Franky?” Nami asked, leaning forward on her elbows. Robin choked on her tea, coughing it up and looking back up at Nami with a blank expression.
“I’m not sure I understand you.” she asked her, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
“Ugh, Robin, seriously? It’s so obvious the dude has it bad for you.” Nami chided her “I’m just wondering if you’re going for it or if he’s not your speed. I thought he might be but you’ve been weird around him lately.”
Robin felt a blush creep up her face, her ears filled with fuzz. She gave the red head a smile anyway.
“Nami you’re being silly, You shouldn’t assume things like that about our crew mates. We’re friends.” Robin replied, keeping her voice even. Nami pouted at her.
“Sure, the guy who would do anything for you is ‘just a friend',” she did air quotes with her fingers. “The man dotes on you, it’s gross really.”
“Sanji does as well,” Robin laughed behind her hand. “I’m not sure that's a great indicator.”
“That doesn’t count, he’d literally do that for any woman. Franky only does that shit for you.” Nami pointed, taking the cup out of Robin’s hand to keep her from choking again. The archaeologist kept a serene expression, but inside her heart pounded. She’d been around the shipwright so often, it had never occurred to her that his behavior might look different to other people. She shook her head lightly. It means nothing.
“We take care of each other here, Nami” Robin sighed, “Like when I’d drunk too much, one of you carried me to bed and I woke up with medicine. It was very sweet but it’s just what we do.”
Nami gave her a disgusted look and pinched the bridge of her nose.
“You know for a smart person, you’re acting kind of dumb.” she muttered before throwing her hands in the air “Robin! That was literally all Franky! He carried you to bed and even woke up early to get you water! You may not like him back, but the guy’s, like, in love with you!”
Incredulity was splashed across Nami’s features. Robin's smile dropped as she considered what she had just heard. Franky had been the one to take her to her room. He’d been the one to take care of her. Going by that logic, it had played out eerily similar to her dream; that special one she’d come to cherish. The spark of realization lit a fire in her. She gasped and put her hand to her mouth, her eyes wide. Scenes flashed through her mind at a rapid speed. Sensations stirred through her body as she flipped through the images. It wasn’t a dream.
She’d ambushed Franky. She’d let herself indulge her interest, her second favorite pastime finally came to a head. He hadn’t said a word about it. He’d gone about the last week like nothing had happened. She needed to speak with him this instant, slapping her usual calm expression back on as she turned to the navigator.
“Interesting proposition Nami, really. That being said, where is Franky right now? I actually have something I need to discuss with him.”
Nami looked at her suspiciously but acquiesced, pointing her towards the men’s quarters. Robin thanked her and began to make her way there. She had to actively monitor the pace of her steps, keeping them smooth. her breathing threatened to stop entirely if she didn’t manually remember how to do it. When she came upon the door she reached to knock gently, before just opening it. Knocking be damned.
The Shipwright was positioned awkwardly, underneath one of the beds. He was on his back screwing something into the bottom of the bunk and grumbling under this breath. Robin took a moment to enjoy the view, unable to stop herself. Sitting on the table across from him, she tried a few different poses before she landed on the one she wanted.
“Franky” she called out to him. He jerked up in surprise, smacking his forehead against the bottom of the bed.
“Shit!” He called, wiggling out from under the wood. He rubbed his head, looking toward the door trying to find the source of the sound. He broke out in a grin at the sight of her. Robin grit her teeth. He needed to stop that.
“Nico Robin! What brings you down here? Thought you were planning on sunbathing the day away.” He laughed, resting his chin on the heel of his hand and watching her.
“I was looking for you actually” She asked, cocking her head to the side. “What are you doing?”
“Ahaha miss me did ya? I ain’t doing anything special unfortunately. Sanji was complaining that Zoro’s leg kept hitting his bed when the ship rocked so I was adding some stuff to hitch it to the floor if they need it”
Franky scratched the back of his head and looked at Robin. She was pensive. He’d truly been acting the same as usual. That meant he likely wasn’t upset with her, but it was still shameful to admit to him she’d forgotten. Or that she’d attacked him in the first place.
“Something on your mind?” He asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
Robin winced. It was now or never.
“Franky. I um… I have a question about the other night” she picked at her thumb and looked at him sidelong. His smile was gone. He motioned for her to continue.
“The night that I got drunk. Did we, um-” She took a deep breath. “Were we intimate with each other?”
Robin felt her face heat, she wanted to hide, but answers were more important. She looked at Franky again. He leaned back against the bed and crossed his arms, considering her.
“We didn’t have sex, if that’s what yer asking” he said finally, thumbing up his sunglasses. He didn’t look angry, but wasn't filling the silence like he usually did. It made Robin nervous.
“But we did other things, right?” she asked again. Franky’s face cracked then, and a wicked grin overcame him.
“You mean you pouncing on me? Yeah, you sure did.” he laughed, pulling off the bandage on the side of his neck, revealing a faded bite mark and barely visible bruises. “These are from you, actually.”
Robin balked and covered her mouth with her hands.
“I am… incredibly sorry,” she mumbled into her palm, a pit forming in her stomach.
“Don’t be.” he said “I don’t mind a few battle scars. Nailed it with you forgetting about it though.”
Robin grimaced. She never thought she’d expose herself so badly, much less to the shipwright she’d gotten hung up on.
“I didn’t entirely forget it. I just thought it was a dream.” she admitted, staring back down at her hands. She heard another chuckle from across the room.
“Have those often, do ya?”
She clenched her teeth and shot him a glare. He’d put his arms above his head and rested on them. His face had a smug smile. While she was glad that the man she’d chosen to obsess over found humor in her foolishness, his reaction to her embarrassment pissed her off. A hand appeared from his shoulder, flicking him in the forehead.
“Ow, hey!” He laughed, rubbing the spot she hit. Still snickering to himself, he got up and walked over to where she sat on the table. Robin tensed as he knelt in front of her. This was where he was going to turn her down flat out. She wasn’t prepared to hear him say it.
“Hey, look at me.” he said, patting her knee.
She did reluctantly, her chest tightened at his expression. He was soft, giving her a crooked grin. He rubbed his thumb against her knee.
“Robin, you know you’re probably my best friend right?” He asked with his eyes full of sincerity. Robin’s breathing stopped in her throat. “You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. I can’t get enough of being with you.”
The shipwright rested his arm across her knees and placed his chin on it, looking up at her face. Robin squeezed her fingers together tightly. She desperately wanted to pull Franky into her, but self restraint was key here. It was not easy.
“Ya know… I had this whole plan. The next island we went to I was gonna take you out. Go to a nice dinner, maybe dancing, show myself off a bit as a gentleman. Then you had to go and steal my thunder. Super unfair.” He sighed, brushing his knuckles against her leg. Sifting through what he’d just said, the woman latched onto a few words. Plan? She grabbed his face, pulling him closer to her. She stared into his eyes intensely.
“Repeat yourself please.” she said, squeezing his cheeks together. He chuckled between her hands and leaned into one, covering it with his own.
“You ruined my plan, It’s kinda hard to woo a woman who flipped you over onto her bed at the worst possible time.”
“You’re trying to woo me?”
Franky furrowed his brow at her and frowned.
“Damn. I’m doing a real shit job if you had no clue.”
“But you rejected me.”
“Oi, no I didn’t.” Franky grabbed her hands and looked at her sternly “I very much said that the moment you wanted to continue where we left off, I’d do it. Just didn’t wanna do it while you were so far gone, you deserve better.”
The dark haired woman narrowed her eyes at the man in her grasp.
“Yet you said nothing?”
The cyborg flinched a little and cast his eyes down.
“Yeah, okay, that’s fair. I wasn’t one hundred percent on whether you forgot or just didn’t wanna talk about it. Didn’t wanna bring it up and freak you out.” He looked embarrassed. The archaeologist thought she understood him. Fear of rejection ate at them both. She curled in and bumped her forehead into Franky's, leaving it there.
“I’m sor-“ Robin started.
“Woman, if you try to apologize to me one more time.” The man interrupted, squeezing her hands. Robin laughed softly. Perhaps she was overthinking this. He’d been honest with her just now, maybe she needed to be honest as well. She caressed Franky’s cheek with her thumb, looking into the eyes of the man she’d spent too long pretending she wasn’t horribly enamored with. She pulled his face up to hers, letting their mouths meet. He kissed her back so tenderly she wanted to die. Except she’d decided that she didn’t anymore, and she’d call this her reward for doing so.
When she pulled back, Franky’s face was tinted with a blush, and he looked at her hard. It finally occurred to Robin, that he’d been looking at her like this for a while, that he watched her like she was the moon on a clear night. Her heart constricted tightly in her chest. She moved her hand to run it through his hair, surprised at how soft the blue strands were. She felt him shiver as her nails scratched against his scalp. Her blood began to heat. Since she didn’t need to ignore this any longer, what was stopping her?
“One thing I do remember from that night,” Robin said smoothly, bringing her hand to his chin and lifting, “was a certain man saying that he could make me scream his name.”
Franky’s eyes bulged and he swallowed hard before giving her a devilish grin.
“Four sheets to the wind and that’s the part you remember huh?”
“My priorities are in order.”
Franky nodded at her, the gears clicking in his mind. He absentmindedly tapped his fingers against the table. Robin tilted her head, watching him.
“Unless, of course, you don’t think you can?” She teased, stroking his sideburn with a finger. He stopped tapping and frowned up at her.
“Give me a second, would you? You’re wearing shorts so I gotta consider my options here.” He grumbled. He tapped his fingers one more time and said, “Fuck it.”
Franky launched himself up from kneeling and slammed his hands on either side of Robin. A zing went through her body. She wanted to clench her legs shut but the large man that towered over her occupied the space. He looked at her, irritated in the most mouth watering way.
“You want me to make you scream, Nico Robin?” He whispered against her ear as he moved in closer to her. His low voice sent shivers down Robin’s spine. Franky cupped her ass with his hand, pulling her closer, nuzzling into her neck. She grabbed onto his shirt to keep herself up right. She felt a rumble in his chest, the cold metal of his nose tickling her. Robin gasped when he put his mouth under her ear, licking sensitive skin before biting it. He kissed down her neck slowly, Robin squirmed. His hot breath against her, taking his time, was agony. She wanted him now.
Franky kissed along her jaw, placing one last one on the side of her mouth. His eyes caught hers, they were half lidded and darkened, dedicated to her. He hovered there, their lips barely touching.
“You never answered my question,” he said, a little too proud of himself. “I need to hear you say it out loud.”
Robin felt a little indignant, but the need to feel more of him outweighed any annoyance in her system.
“Make me scream, Franky. Please.” she said, her voice husky with want.
“Oh, fuck yeah.” he breathed out, moving quickly. Lips met each other with a force. Robin felt herself falling backward, a large hand caught the back of her head before she hit the table. Franky’s hand moved down her thigh, hooking under her knee and lifting. The calluses on his fingers overwhelmed her senses as they rubbed against her skin. Robin moaned at the weight of the man above her, pressing down on her deliciously. Her back arched against the wood of the table, his hand cradling her head and pushing her against him.
She attacked his mouth as he held her down with his body. Her tongue found his immediately and intertwined. He tasted like cola and for the first time she reveled in the flavor. It was him. Hands grew from Franky’s shoulders, intertwining into his hair, gripping this shirt. She used the ones attached to her to run along this torso. She found she liked the feel of chest hair under her finger tips. She could follow the trail of blue down his abs and under his swim trunks. Running her hands up into his aloha shirt, she scratched down with her nails. He shuddered above her, groaning into her mouth. She flexed her thighs at the sound. With him in between her legs, she pressed into him. He hissed and bucked back on reflex. The sensation shot through her body. Even through her shorts she could feel him.
He withdrew, dark eyes surveying her. He moved her leg to wrap around him, she complied, squeezing his midsection. Giving her a quick grin, he moved his hand to her waist, gripping her softly before running his hand up her shirt. Robin shivered at his touch.
“Is this okay?” He asked, his thumb stroked the delicate spot just below her breast. Robin frowned at him and he chuckled. “Okay, okay, just checking in.”
Franky lifted her shirt, exposing her chest to him. She felt him twitch at the sight.
“Shit. Who let you look like this?” he said under his breath, greedily taking her in. If Robin weren’t already entirely on fire, the look on his face would’ve combusted her entirely. He looked like a man who was dying of thirst, her body the water he’d been searching for. He leaned forward, planting a kiss on her collarbone. He bit the same spot gently, sucking on the skin. He worked his way down her chest. Robin’s skin felt overly sensitive, aware of every breath and bite and lick he left on her. She tightened her grip in his hair when he pressed his lips to one of her breasts, nipping at it. He moved to cup her, running a rough finger over the peak of breast through her bra. Instead of just moving it out of the way, he kissed her through the fabric, grazing his teeth against the lace of it. The woman tried to move herself up to him but he kept at the same pace, not taking off her clothing near fast enough. Robin huffed, hands growing from the table and unhooking her bra. As the clothing suddenly loosened, Franky caught the flutter of petals on the table.
“Didn’t peg you as impatient” He grinned mischievously. Before Robin could respond he pushed up her bra, taking her nipple into his mouth. She cried out at the sudden feeling of his tongue rolling her. She moaned at the contact, sparks shooting through her limbs. He moved over to the next one, letting his hand take over where he stopped. Robin wriggled underneath, Both trying to get away from the overwhelming sensation and wanting to push into it. She’d been right about his hands being rough and that she wanted them on her.
Franky moved then, leaving a trail down her stomach. He stopped once to bite next to her belly button, sucking on the tender flesh. Robin was having a hard time keeping her voice to herself, she’d been having a hard time the last week keeping control of herself because of this man. An annoying trend that continued as he wreaked havoc on her body.
He pulled back and admired the dark mark he’d left on her olive skin. He ran his thumb over it before kissing it again. She watched him get to the waistband of her shorts and look up at her, eyes suddenly serious. His mouth opened and a hand appeared, covering it.
“Don’t ask, just do it.” Robin breathed, her body ached with need. Franky nodded, unbuttoning them. In a swift movement he whipped the shorts and underwear that matched her bra, off her body and tossed them behind him. Robin felt bare, her body radiating with heat under the watchful eye of the cyborg. Giving her a wink, he took his hand out from under her head and leaned back into a kneeling position.
He touched her body, hands smoothing over her the curve of her stomach, down to stroke her thighs. Robin’s eyes widened slightly as franky put her knees over his shoulders. He turned to kiss her thigh, licking up before biting down. Robin flinched but Franky held her in place. She felt his tongue going over the spot as he sucked on it. When he stopped, a trail of saliva connected him to it. He shot her a heated look.
Her breath hitched. Realizing that he’d been serious earlier, and bracing herself. Franky buried his face between her legs and Robin made a noise she didn’t know she was capable of making. He ravaged her, a liquid pleasure moving its way from between her legs into her stomach and through her limbs. She clawed into her hair, the heels of her palms pressed into her forehead. She took heavy breaths, trying to keep it together. She needed purchase on something as his tongue alternated between thrusting inside her and applying sweet pressure to the bundle of nerves between her legs. It felt like the enormity of her desires had finally been reached. The object of her affection terrorized her with persistent attention. Anytime she shifted away from the extreme sensation, he’d hold her in place and attack her with more fervor.
She cried out at a new feeling, something rough against her entrance.
She looked down to the cyborg stroking her with his thumb, observing her reactions. Locking on to her face, he maintained eye contact as he drug his thumb over his bottom lip and licked it. Robin shuddered. Franky stuck his middle finger in his mouth, getting it wet before using it to caress Robin. She clenched as he gently pushed it inside her. The stretch was unexpected, she knew he had large hands but hadn’t thought about what that meant when she finally got to satiate herself. He pet her trembling thigh as he kept going, letting her get used to it before pulling out and pushing it back in. when he hooked his finger upward, hitting her in a specific spot, she moaned louder than she meant to.
“There it is,” he hummed, leaning forward to put his mouth back on the bead of nerves that he’d been abusing. Robin’s entire body tensed and she squeezed Franky's head between her legs. He worked her hard, using his finger to keep her filled and his mouth to suck on her and rub it with the back of his tongue.
Something began to build in her, an itch she couldn’t scratch, something that made her start to wriggle under his hands. He kept softly rubbing her thigh as if to soothe her.
“Franky wait, I can’t-” she moaned out, her throat tight. In a moment that surprised her, bliss burst from her stomach and seeped into her body. Her muscles tightened and she let out a strangled cry, something that in the right light would sound like a name. She’d had an orgasm before but it’s different when given to you from someone so wholly dedicated to pleasing you. Franky kept up his ministrations after she’d already peaked, drawing out the feeling. She wanted to whimper, incredibly unbecoming, but it was all too much. Everything about him was too much.
When he finally stopped, Robin’s limbs felt like jelly. She watched him sit back, licking his lip, a smug look plastered on him.
“Told you.” he said, pressing another kiss to her thigh. He nuzzled into her and looked at her with those dark eyes of his. The ones that made her feel like she was being warmed by the sun. When he moved to get up, she looked at him confused.
“Where are you going?” she asked, her body still limp. Franky smiled and stroked her stomach, kissing the spot he’d marked.
“Getting a towel for you. Can’t let my lady stay on a table like that can I?” he laughed.
Robin reached out and grabbed his hand, stopping him.
“We’re done?” her face, serious. Franky’s eyebrows raised in surprise.
“I uh. Yeah. You were kind of my focus here so.” he stammered, suddenly awkward. Robin looked down and saw what she suspected. He was horribly hard, his speedo barely concealing him. She moved her leg, rubbing her knee against him, eliciting a groan.
“Don’t worry about that, I’m fine” His already flushed face, colored.
“I’m not” Robin braced herself on her elbows, staring Franky down. The man stared at her. His mouth pressed into a line. She watched his eyes dart across her body, his brows furrowing as he did. The hand on her stomach clenched and he took a deep breath. A hand appeared on his shoulder and ran a finger against his cheek. Franky smiled at it and leaned into the touch.
“Why are you so hesitant?” Robin asked again, her voice softening.
“I don’t want to be selfish.”
Robin stared at him for a second, her expression blank before grabbing his face and pulling him up to her face. She smashed her lips against his. She felt him start but melt into her as she pressed on. Her lips moved against as he hovered above her, their skin barely touching. She moved back and studied him.
“You’re stupid, Franky. And if you don’t get your briefs off right now, I will be doing it myself.”
Franky gaped at her a bit before nodding his head.
“Yes ma’am.”
He leaned back and stood up so he was even with her. He slipped his thumbs under the waist of his speedo and slipped them off, shrugging off his shirt in the same motion. He stood, looking slightly abashed, scratching the back of his head. Robin ogled him. She’d seen all this before but was never disappointed when she got to. He was sweaty, chiseled, and large, his length in full view. She hummed, and beckoned him back. With a grumble he loomed over her, braced on his forearms. Robin leaned up and kissed him again.
“So beautiful, Mr. Cyborg,” she chuckled at his blush.
“Devil woman” he muttered, deepening their kiss.
Robin sighed into it, wrapping her arms around his neck. She twitched when she felt Franky, gliding through the wetness of her center. Her body had begun to come down from the previous high but she felt extra sensitive as he gently slid himself against her. The man above her vibrated, she delighted in how much he reacted to her.
Leaning back he let out a shaky pant. His eyes glazing over, he grabbed his member, rubbing the tip against Robin’s core. She groaned, watching him as he moved. He centered himself with her and thrust gently, pushing himself inside. Robin gasped at the intrusion.
He went slowly, letting her adjust to him. The effort to not go too fast, apparent on his face. Robin felt herself stretching around him, a delectable discomfort she could get used to. Franky eyed her, looking for signs of pain, when he found none he began to move. Even and shallow thrusts, trying to be as gentle as possible with the woman in front of him.
She moaned, folding a leg around his hips and pulling him closer. With the sudden movement, Franky thrust deeper in her, hitting the same spot he’d been teasing earlier. Robin cried out, clawing into the hand he still had on the table near her. Franky stilled, conflict lighting him up.
“Franky” she whimpered, “do that again”
His strong jaw clenched. He reached under robin’s leg and hooked his arm under her knee using the other to grab her hip. He plunged into her harder this time, his stomach slapping against her. She let out a desperate noise and static filled her ears. Encouraged, the cyborg moved in harsh, needy thrusts, letting their bodies smack into each other. He lifted her leg further into her, getting a good angle for him to move deep inside.
Robin held on for dear life. Arms materialized over him, onto anything she should reach. Franky’s hair, his back, his chest, all had long slender fingers pressing into them. She gripped the knuckles of the hand holding her hip, nails digging into his skin, he didn’t seem to mind. She couldn’t control her voice, or her body. She felt full and overstimulated, Franky circling a thumb over her again. In her haze she looked at the man moving against her. Sweat dripped down his temple, his mouth open as he took heavy breathes. He wasn’t smiling, instead concentrating on filling her. She glimpsed how his stomach looked when he moved and felt weak, the muscles tense under slick skin.
She felt the pressure begin to build in her again. A deep well inside her stomach that made her feel like her body was on fire. That feeling of intense pleasure sparked in her as she saw Franky start to lose control. His breathing was turning ragged, his eyes shut.
“Fuck. Robin.” He choked out, his voice gravelly. When the same sensation of an explosion that spread into her body like honey overcame her, she seized, arching her back against the table. Franky felt her tighten around him and stuttered before moving faster; saying her name over and over like a mantra. She felt him inside her, finally tipping over the edge. He groaned, his body shuddering.
He slowed his hips until he came to a stop, slumping over Robin's pliable form. She wanted to mold herself against him. They were both sticky with sweat, their bodies hot and out of breath. Franky nuzzled into the crook of Robin's neck, squeezing her gently between his arms. taking a deep breath, he moved, pulling himself out of her slowly, achingly. Robin whined as he left, feeling empty.
The man leaned and pressed a kiss to her knee, walking to his locker in the room. Robin watched him move around the room, gathering a towel, a blanket, a new speedo. He came back with the cloth and started wiping her body down.
Robin hummed as the soft fabric ran against her overly sensitive skin. She felt malleable and warm, watching the large man clean her with gentle hands. Nami had been right, he really does dote on her. She brushed her knuckles against his hand and he picked it up, kissing it sweetly. Finishing, he pulled down Robin’s shirt and scooped her up into his arms. He held her close and plopped onto the floor, situating the woman in his lap and throwing the blanket over her.
She reached up and smoothed her hand over his head, breathing him in.
“Your hair deflated” she mumbled , fiddling with the limp pompadour.
“You wore out my battery” His chest rumbled against her with a laugh. “Give me a cola real quick and I can keep going”
“Such big promises” She chuckled softly, placing her hand over Franky's and pulled it to her, flipping it over. Half-moon slivers of red littered his skin.
“It seems that I’ve also injured you a bit Franky” she kissed the nail marks she’d left and looked up at the man apologetically.
“If anyone gets to leave scars on me it’s you, Nico Robin”
Robin snuggled into Franky’s arms. She’d historically not been a huge fan of being hugged, arms around her were a trap, one she couldn’t escape. She knew how arms around a person could kill. After months on board the sunny however, she’d started to change her mind. Cradling chopper when he was upset, being tackle-hugged by Luffy when he was excited to see her, Nami hugging her casually as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Now Franky, his arms that can kill and build and devastate, held her so lovingly. He ran his hand up and down her back, his mouth pressed into her hair. She felt safe.
“Lanky and Mobin lived happily ever after” she said softly to herself, drawing circles on his chest.
“I thought you were unimpressed with my storytelling” he said to the top of her head.
Robin hummed to herself. She was plenty impressed with him.

Robin’s routine had been maintained with the added bonus, that when she admired the shipwright, he could catch her doing it all he wanted. She indulged herself time and again, ogling him as he works or plays with the kids. Instead of daydreaming about how it must feel to be touched by him, she’d taken to recalling memories of it. Knowing that if at any point, she wanted to rehash it, all she had to do was let him know.
She was immensely pleased with herself.
He sat there chatting with her as he leaned against the mast. She adored listening to him chatter about his plans to build a new bike they could use on land. He was always so passionate. While he talked a hand sprung out and wrapped around his neck, luffy rubber-banding onto his back.
“Franky!” he shouted, a smile plastered on his face “Come over and play with us”
Robin laughed behind her hand, Luffy's lack of personal space was one of his many highlights. Franky laughing and letting the boy crawl on him like a tree, unbothered, was one of his.
“Yeah yeah give me a second lil bro” he chuckled, turning back to robin “Duty calls babe sorry”
Franky bent down and pressed a quick kiss to Robin's lips. A crash came from behind them, Franky whipped around to Sanji, his food tray clattering on the deck of the ship. His face one of unbridled shock and horror.
“Oh shit” Franky said, the blush crept across his face. Robin smiled at him in bemusement. He’d done it out of habit. They hadn’t talked to the crew about each other yet. They definitely knew now.
Nami jumped from where she was sitting, waving her finger at them.
“I fucking knew it!”
