“Babe, there you are!” A voice cut through the air, loud and cheerful. Before Anton could process what was happening, he felt Paul Baker’s lips on his. His body went rigid.
Anton blinked. “What—?”
Paul Baker didn’t miss a beat. He slid in close, arm casually draping around Anton’s waist like it was the most natural thing in the world. “You left me alone with Samir. You know how he gets after two tequila shots. It was life or death.”
Anton just stared at him.
His eyes flicked toward Jacob for half a second, and then back to Anton with a sly little grin. “Oh, sorry, am I interrupting?”
Jacob’s gaze sharpened. “Who’s this?”
“I’m Paul Baker. Anton’s husband.”
