Luka frees his wrist from her grasp and holds her hand with a pressure too soft to hurt, too rough to soothe. Hyuna observes the way their fingers fit together, brow just barely furrowed, like she doesn’t want the touch, but can’t will herself to pull away.
That hesitation is Luka’s invitation: it’s only in this split second of doubt that he can slide his way into her psyche, past the walls that separate him from the rest of her world. As much as he has tried over the years to convince her that it’s best to let him in… she still hesitates.
