Summary
The pride Chuckie had felt at getting Will to go, to chase after Skylar and whatever mathy ambitions he had had withered into something that was nearly remorse, but was more likely to be classified as heartache. Chuckie missed him more than anything in the whole world, but if he was one of the key people who got Will to ship himself off to Cali, why should he get all hypocritical and beg for him to come back? Yeah, they called weekly (“Chuckie you fuckin’ ass, how’ve you been?” “Ask your girlfriend moron, we’ve been fuckin’.”), but God Almighty, Chuckie needed his best friend. He felt as though that type of want was illegal, taboo. It felt like he would worship Will Hunting had he ever return, and Chuckie gave him explicit instructions to never do that. So he drove and dreamt.
