Chapter Text
Jack opened his eyes and looked at the familiar Frog Creek Woods.
“What is this?” Annie asked, handing him a piece of paper.
It was the picture Oakley had shown him.
“Oh no! This picture was Ms. Oakley’s. I didn’t know I still had it!” Jack looked around for the Wild West Book. “We have to take it back to her.”
Annie put a hand on his shoulder. “It’s ok, Jack. It will remind us of our time with the show.”
Jack nodded but was still upset.
“Come on, we need to get home for dinner. Mom will worry.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Jack said. He carefully put the picture down with the letter from Col. Travis.
“Well, we have two sources of strength now: freedom and inspiration. I wonder what we’ll find next time?”
“Hey, Jack, look! It’s a note from Morgan!” Annie held up another piece of paper.

They looked at each other and smiled. Then they climbed down the ladder and ran back out of Frog Creek Wood.
They ran down their street.
They ran across their yard.
They ran into their kitchen.
“Good, I was just about to call you in for dinner,” said their mom.
