Summary:

All my tiny Lambert/Aiden fics and prompt fills collected into one place, because it's that or give into my impulse to delete them entirely.

Notes:

Nothing new here folks, sorry! But now that this fandom has quieted down I wanted to clean up my works page by consolidating all my tiny Lambert/Aiden works. My now not-as-depressed brain (yay!) cringes at the obvious brain fog I see in my writing from this time, but I also know that I personally hate when authors delete fics I liked. So this is my compromise.

The Basics Summary: The thing that's not Aiden grins and Lambert has a sinking feeling that they are, to put it gently, fucked.

Chapter 1: The Basics (whump, possession, eye trauma)

The thing that isn't Aiden spits blood, grinning as it watches Lambert circle round. It wipes Aiden's mouth with the back of Aiden's hand but the eyes that track Lambert's movements are all it's own; sickly green orbs that are either too big or too small for Aiden's skull, or maybe both at the same time.

Fuck, Lambert hoped that Aiden's eyes were just sharing their space, what the fuck would a blind Witcher do -

The thing moves, a glint of steel flashing. It's too fast to see and Lambert's only hope is that Aiden is always too fast to see, and whatever is possessing the cat seems constrained by it's vessel's abilities.

Lambert reacts on instinct, catching Aiden's wrist and stopping the knife a hair's breadth from his skull, twisting until he hears the sickening snap of bone breaking.

Lambert dances back again, casting another Yrden around Aiden's body. Fat lot of good that's done so far, but Lambert's fast running out of ideas.

Whatever is in Aiden is old, the chaos surrounded it base and untempered. Lambert's felt it's kin in the oldest Leshens. It hollows out your bones and screams in your ears, bearing down until all even a witcher can think is run.

This is worse.

Lambert bites his tounge until it bleeds just to focus on anything else but the terror in the wind and tries to think.

What he comes up with is this. They're basically fucked.

This isn't any mindless specter, nor a djinn that he could put back in a bottle. None of his signs work on it, and from the blood that's staring to slide down Aiden's ears he's got a bad feeling that they don't have too long before it breaks out of it's hosts body and, well, Lambert doesn't know what then. But nothing fucking good.

Lambert curses as he drops his steel sword and unsheats his sliver. Back to the basics, eh? Silver for monsters.

Aiden looks at him and laughs. "Why don't you put that toy away already? He's screaming at you to do it, don't you know? But you and I both know you won't."

Lambert counts how much Swallow they've got in their packs and stabs Aiden in the heart.
