Sam's Silly Snippets

Summary:

This is a snippet story, the trash bin where I throw any ideas I have into. If a story gets 5 chapters, I might turn it into its own story. Expect chaos, nonsense, and poorly written tripe.

Chapter 1: Blue Archive x DMC 1 (7-9-25)

Chapter Text

Name: Blue Archive x Devil May Cry - Twin Senseis

Summary: It's a pretty cliche and overused plot: Dante and Vergil ending up somewhere unintended after escaping the Demon World post-DMC5. Let's see what happens when they end up in Kivotos.

BA x DMC 1 - Dante and Vergil Sensei

…

"Y'know... I think I'm starting to get sick of this tree."

"For once, I agree."

Two near-identical men- one clad in red, the other in black- casually speak to each other while resting in a place that could only be described as hell.

The Demon World, that's where these twin brothers are. After the massive tree before them- the Qliphoth- sprung up in the Human World, the two of them decided to remain in the Demon World to cut it down.

Unfortunately, the twins were overrun by hordes of demons protecting the tree before they could reach their target.

Not that they posed a threat to the twin sons of Sparda- the former Demon General who rebelled against his own kind to save humanity long ago. Now possessing a power that transcends even their father's, the twins are near-unstoppable. Though, that's not to say that slaughtering demons is a quick process when their numbers are so great. Even the younger brother relented in his stylish ways for once to slaughter his enemies faster.

This brings the brothers to where they are now, sitting down on some fleshy rubble, both of them surrounded by tall piles of demonic corpses.

"Still, I thought this would be worse. It's just been small fries so far." The red clad man, Dante the Legendary Devil Hunter, says as he pokes one of the corpses with his demonic sword- the Devil Sword Dante. His red duster coat and white hair sway gently in the breeze.

"Not every demon need be sentient. The Qliphoth would sooner send hordes of mindless fodder after us than waste energy sending larger opponents." The black clad man and the older twin, Vergil, says, holding onto a sheathed katana, the sheathe's end resting on the ground, held upright with his hands. His white hair is slicked back and his face is more serious than his brother's, and his face is clean-shaven as opposed to his brother's stubble covered jawline.

"Meh. I suppose it is just a stupid tree after all." Dante says with a sigh. He looks his brother in the eyes, their identically blue eyes meeting. "Should we go ahead and get 'er done?"

"We might as well." Vergil says, standing up.

"Alright." The red clad man says, following suit. "What do we do?"

Vergil takes a few steps forward, standing next to Dante as the brothers look up at the massive tree. "We need to simply cut it."

"That's it?" Dante asks, looking at his brother warily.

"Don't underestimate this thing. You and I are well aware of how much blood it has absorbed." Vergil reminds his brother, referring to the tree's diet it needs to grow- human blood, and an almost unimaginable amount. "We will likely need to hit it as hard as we can to even damage it."

The Devil Hunter blinks. "As hard as we can?" He asks.

"As hard as we can." The Dark Slayer says, looking seriously at his younger twin.

The younger twin cracks a smile. "Welp. Let's get this over with."

The twins begin to glow with energy- the younger glows red and the older blue. The energy builds before it exposes violently, sending the demon corpses and some parts of the ground flying away from them.

Due to being half human, these brothers can deactivate their demonic forms. Not only that, but they've recently acquired new forms, stronger than their simple Devil Trigger.

Sin Devil Trigger. A power that eclipses their father's- a demon who single-handedly pushed back the entirety of the demon army two thousand years ago to save humanity and prevent the demons invading.

Where the twins once stood, now are two demons. One of them now has skin resembling his demonic claymore- the fusion of his sword and his father's. Four wings sprout from his back. The other looks similar, albeit with a blue hue and a tail, along with twin blade-like shapes of energy sprouting from both of his forearms, containing his katana. The twins now truly resemble their father.

Dante readies his blade as Vergil's hand hovers near his wrist. Energy coalesces around their weapons, glowing brighter and brighter. With a demonic roar, the twins slash their weapons horizontally. A great flash of red and blue strikes the tree.

For a moment, nothing. Then the tree shifts, just a bit.

creeeeeeak

Then it begins to slide.

Then, it falls.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

With a massive thud, the tree slams into the ground, likely shaking the entire Demon World in the process. With a flourish of light, the twins' forms return to those of a human. Vergil sheaths the Yamato with a click as Dante looks around.

"What is it?" Vergil asks.

"That's it?" Dante shrugs, sounding upset. "I kinda figured they'd come after us after hearing that."

Vergil's eyes scan the area. "Perhaps not. Regardless, our job is done. The tree has no way of collecting any more blood. It is as good as dead."

"So we can go back now?" Dante asks, flicking his wrist, causing his blade to disappear.

"Indeed. I can use Yamato's ability to cut a portal back to the Human World." The older twin says, before pausing, an almost ashamed look in his eyes.

"You worried about Nero?" The younger twin asks, knowing how strained the relationship is between his brother and his nephew.

"Yes." Vergil admits, to Dante's surprise. The older, grouchy brother has clearly softened somewhat.

Dante sighs, walking over and putting a hand on his brother's shoulder. "I know it'll be tough at first, but it'll be fine, Verge."

Vergil eyes his brother, not believing his words very much, before sighing as he relents. "Very well."

Dante smiles. "You've changed, bro."

Vergil retorts with a small smile. "As have you."

"Meh. I guess it's just age talking." The red clad man shrugs.

Unsheathing his blade with ease, Vergil then cuts the air once horizontally, then again, vertically. Space erupts around the cuts, a dark void forming. The blade's dimension-cutting abilities are on full display here.

"Let us go."

"Right."

And with that, the two brothers return to the Human World.

Unfortunately, they failed to account for one thing: multiverse theory.

A portal has been opened to the Human World…

But is it the one they're familiar with?

It was all my fault.

My decisions, and everything they caused.

It had to come to this for me to finally realize that he was right all along.

So forgive me for being so bold, but I must ask for your help.

...Dante-Sensei. Vergil-Sensei.

You'll forget these words, but it won't matter.

Even without his memories, he made the same decisions in the same situations…

Therefore, I believe what matters most are the choices we make, not the experiences we have.

There are choices I believed only he could make.

...yet they still ended in failures. No matter what he did.

He never achieved a miracle.

Over and over and over again…

So many times.

But... perhaps you two…

…

I've spoken of responsibility before.

I didn't truly understand it then, but now I do.

Adulthood, responsibility, obligation... and the choices you make that extend beyond those ideals.

I even understand their implications.

I have no right to ask this of you, either of you, but…

Dante-Sensei... Vergil-Sensei…

...you two are the only ones I can trust.

Only you two can free us from this twisted, distorted fate…

...and find the choices that will lead us to a new reality.

So, Dante, Vergil…

Senseis…

Please…

…

…

…

We thirst for the seven wailings.

We bear the koan of Jericho.

"...sei." A voice says.

"Sensei." It repeats, more forcefully.

"Dante! Vergil!" The voice shouts.

"Ugggh." Dante groans, rising from his stupor. "Not so loud, Lady."

Vergil stirs. "What is...?"

The two men pause, confused by their position, sitting down. They both open their eyes to see a young woman with black hair and blue eyes hidden behind glasses. She wears a white uniform of some kind which does nothing to hide her figure.

'Pointed ears?' Dante asks himself, eyeing the girl's strange ears.

'A halo?' Vergil asks himself, eyeing the girl's halo, floating above her head.

The young woman sighs. "You two appeared suddenly, perfectly asleep. I even had some trouble waking you up... I didn't expect you both to be so sound asleep."

"Asleep?" Dante asks. "Didn't we just...?" He asks, looking at his brother.

"Leave after cutting down the Qliphoth." Vergil finishes, confirming for his brother.

"Qliphoth?" The girl asks, before shaking her head. "Never mind. I will explain the current situation. My name is Nanagami Rin, and I'm a General Student Council officer from Kivotos, the academy city."

'Academy city?' Dante asks himself, completely confused.

"And you two are teachers that we have summoned here... or so it would seem." She continues, seeming unsure of herself.

"Summoned?" Vergil asks, narrowing his eyes, causing the strange girl to tense up.

"Well, pardon my uncertainty, but I only say that because I still don't fully understand how you two got here." Rin takes an apologetic tone.

"Well it's good to know we're not the only confused ones here." Dante quips.

Rin's lips twitch. "I understand this must be very confusing to you both. My apologies." She bows her head slightly. "However, I would like you to follow me for now, there's something I require your help with."

"Help?" The older twin asks.

"Let's just say that it's a grave matter... one that could determine the very fate of the academy city." She says.

Dante looks at his twin, the brothers seeming to share a conversation via eyes. After a moment, they both nod and stand up.

"We might as well hear ya out." Dante says, Vergil nodding in agreement. Rin makes a small smile, but Dante continues. "Could you give us a sec, though?"

"Of course. I will be waiting outside." The girl says before leaving the room and shutting the door behind her. As soon as it closes-

"Vergil-"

"Don't." Vergil interrupts his brother's accusatory tone. "The Yamato worked as intended. The portal opened to the Human World... Or it should have." He says, furrowing his brow.

"So, what? We're in a different Human World?" Dante asks.

"I do not know." The older twin says. "For now, we should assess the situation."

Dante sighs. "Great, out of one mess, into another." He says, running a hand through his hair. "Wherever we are, it definitely ain't Earth. What is that girl anyway? She didn't look like a demon. Was she an elf or something?"

"She does not feel like a demon. And what of the halo? Perhaps she is an angel." Vergil suggests.

Dante groans. "Don't even joke about-" But he pauses, eyes widening. "Hang on, you just made a joke."

"You're hearing things, brother." Vergil looks away, scowling.

"Pfft. Whatever you say, Verge." The red clad man laughs.

"Let us hear her request." The black clad man says, walking towards the door.

"Hey! Don't just ignore me!" Dante yells, walking after his older twin.

The twins soon find themselves being led through the large office building. As they pass room after room, Dante whistles. "This place is pretty big, huh?"

"Indeed. Sanctum Tower is by far the tallest building in the city." Rin explains.

"And how large is this city?" Vergil inquires.

"Very. Districts are expanded every so often." Rin vaguely explains. "You can find a map of the city fairly easily, however. There's even a website where it uploads regularly."

"Huh." Dante hums. Both brothers share a look.

Neither know much of anything about the internet.

Thankfully, they reach their destination quickly. The elf girl opens a door to a large office, with massive windows from ceiling to floor. She walks to one of them and gestures towards it. "Welcome to Kivotos, Senseis."

Both brothers blink in surprise at seeing such a sprawling, white and grey city beneath them.

"Huh. Big place." Dante says, looking downward.

"Are those rings in the sky?" Vergil says, looking upward.

"Kivotos is a massive city, home to thousands of different academies." Rin explains. "It's bound to be very different from the place you call home, but something tells me that you will both adjust in time. The General Student Council president did choose you both."

"Chose us?" Vergil asks.

"Suffice to say, even I don't know the specifics of that decision." The black haired elf apologizes.

"Eh, we'll worry about that later." Dante shrugs. "But about that problem of yours-"

All conversation stops as the elevator in the room dings. The doors open, revealing a group of four girls, each carrying guns. Dante hums appreciatively at that fact.

"There you are, Acting President! We've been waiting for hours! Get the real president out here already!" A girl with purple hair snaps. She's clad in a business uniform with a hoodie over it. She pauses, upon noticing the twin brothers, eyeing them questioningly.

"Ah." Rin says, grimacing. "Well, this timing is rather inconvenient…" She then puts on her best customer service smile. "Hello, guests that represent neighboring academies' student councils, disciplinary boards, and those who otherwise have too much time on their hands. I am well aware why you irksome- I mean, important representatives have come here today."

"Not even tryin' to hide it." Dante chuckles.

Rin shoots him a glare for a moment, causing him to raise his hands in surrender, before turning back to the four girls. "You're here to blame us for the fuss happening in the city. Isn't that right?"

"If you're well aware, then do something! You represent the General Student Council after all!" The purple haired girl snaps. "Thousands of academy districts are in panic. Our academy's wind generator shut down just a few days ago!"

"There are also rumors that students under the Federal Corrections Bureau's custody have escaped." Added a blonde girl with elf ears and glasses, dressed in a black, white, and red uniform.

"There also has been a sharp increase in the number of thugs attacking our students on their way to school. Public safety is not being properly enforced." A third girl adds, this one in a gray uniform with white hair. A single wing comes from the side of her head.

"Illegal distribution of tanks, choppers, and other unknown weapons have increased by over two-thousand percent." A busty girl clad in black with black wings and hair, explains, her words causing both brothers to raise an eyebrow. "At this rate ordinary school life in Kivotos will be a thing of the past."

"And what is the General Student Council president doing during such a sorry state of affairs? I demand to see her right this instant!" The purplette snaps.

Rin sighs deeply. "The president is not here at the moment. To be frank... she's gone missing." She admits, shocking the four girls.

The twins furrow their brows. "Curiouser and curiouser." The older comments under his breath.

"W-What?!" The purplette shouts.

"So those rumors were true..." The black winged girl mutters.

"Allow me to cut to the chase. The General Student Council has no authority because the top administrator of Sanctum Tower has gone missing." Rin explains. "We had been searching for a way to bypass the need for verification, all to no avail... until recently. The president left a letter, saying for us to expect two individuals who could assist us. That being the Senseis here."

"These two adults?" The purplette asks.

"The president chose them? Despite the fact that she's missing?" The blonde elf asks.

"That is the problem you need us to assist with?" Vergil asks.

"That is correct." Rin nods.

"Hold up. Who are these 'Senseis' anyway?" The purplette asks, looking over the twins. "Whoever they are, they don't seem to be from Kivotos."

"Good observation there, little miss. Name's Dante, and this grump here is my brother Vergil." The younger brother introduces them both cheerfully. The older simply nods.

"R-Right. It's good to meet you, Dante-Sensei. I'm Millennium Science School's- Wait, why am I even bothering to introduce myself right now?" The purplette says.

Dante laughs good-naturedly. "You shouldn't worry so much, you'll get wrinkles that'a way."

"Huh?!"

"Don't worry about that annoying girl. Let's just move on." Rin suggests.

"Who are you calling annoying?!" The bossy girl snaps at Rin, before whirling around to Dante. "I'm Hayase Yuuka! You should remember that name, Sensei!"

"Sure, sure. Nice to meetcha, squirt." The red clad man says, ruffling Yuuka's hair, much to her frustration as she smacks his gloved hand away.

Vergil sighs at his brother's antics. "So what exactly is the solution that requires our assistance?"

"The president's letter said that she wanted you two to serve as advisors for a club that was formed by her. The Federal Investigation Club: Schale." Rin begins to explain. "This isn't your average club, more like a type of extrajudicial organization. Since it's a federal club, you'll be allowed to register students from any of the academies in the city. How the president was able to create an organization with this much power, I have no idea. The Schale club room is about thirty kilometers from here. The building is currently empty, but we had to put something in the basement at the president's request."

"Oh? And what was that?" Dante asks, hand rubbing his stubble-covered chin.

"A simple terminal. One we need your assistance in activating. It's my job to take you two there." Rin pauses, pulling out her phone. "Momoka, I need a helicopter to take us to the Schale club room."

A squeaky female voice comes from the other side. "The Schale club room? That's over in the outskirts. Things are kinda crazy over there right now."

"What do you mean 'crazy'?" Rin asks.

"A suspended student escaped from the Corrections Bureau and is wreaking havoc." The girl on the phone explains as casually as telling the time.

"What?" Rin asks, furrowed brows.

"They rallied all the thugs in the area and are destroying everything in their path to take revenge on the General Student Council." There's a pause, along with the sound of chips being chewed. "I hear they've even got a Crusader Tank. They must be trying to occupy the Schale building because they know the General Student Council controls it. Maybe they think there's something valuable inside."

Rin's eye twitches.

"Oh, well. The city's already a dump, so I don't think it'll make that much of a difference… Oh, great! The food I ordered is here. I'll talk to you later, Senpai!"

The phone call ends. Rin looks even angrier. She inhales and exhales slowly, before eyeing the quartet of girls.

"Huh. That glare feels familiar."

Dante lets out a choke as Yamato's hilt strikes harshly against his ribs.

"What? Why are you looking at us like that?" Yuuka asks.

"I think y'all just got volunteered." Dante jokes, rubbing his side.

"Indeed. We are going to need the help of such trustworthy academy representatives to help bring peace back to Kivotos. Let's go." Rin says, brokering no argument, before walking towards the elevator.

Despite Momoka's words of warning, they were able to acquire a helicopter, if only to make part of the thirty kilometer trip. Rin chose to stay behind while the four girls and the twin brothers rode in the sky, keeping in contact via the girls' phones.

"Huh. There's a desert off that way." Dante hums, taking in the view of the massive city.

"There is a snowy region in the opposite direction. Strange to see two biomes so close together." Vergil adds, Yamato held upright in its sheath, between his legs.

"Man, just how big is this city?" The younger brother asks, leaning back in his seat, arms behind his head.

"The city does have thousands of academies, Sensei." The white haired girl says.

"Fair." The red clad man hums.

"Hm." Vergil hums, looking downward, to the streets.

"Awful lotta gunfire down there." Dante comments, looking down as well. "Everyone have guns here?"

"All students have their own firearms, yes. It's how many of us... settle arguments." The blonde elf explains.

"So you all simply slaughter one another regularly?" The black clad man asks, raising an eyebrow.

"What? No!" The blonde denies, aghast.

"Did the Acting President not explain our halos?" The black haired girl asks.

"Not a thing. Why? They give ya regeneration powers?" Dante jokes.

"Of course not. They simply make us highly resistant to gunfire." The blackette says, causing the red clad man to blink in surprise, his smile wavering a bit.

"It still hurts though." Yuuka adds. "Explosions aren't fun either."

"And with enough gunfire, one can break through a halo's protection." The whitette adds. "Death from anything other than natural means is a very uncommon occurrence in this city. Almost unheard of."

"Though we students are the only ones with halos. People who don't have halos don't have the same protections." The blonde continues.

"How curious." Vergil says, intrigued.

"At least none of y'all get stabbed. Would be worse if everyone carried swords." The jovial man chuckles, causing the girls to grimace.

"Speaking of, I noticed that Vergil-Sensei carries a sword." The whitette points out.

"I was wondering about that. It seems like the same as those antiques from Hyakkiyako." The blonde adds, dropping another school's name.

"The Yamato. It is a… keepsake of our father." Vergil explains.

"Your father?" The blackette asks, curious.

"Yup. Dear old dad gave his little kids big swords way back when." The younger twin chimes in, jovial as always, before turning to his older twin. "I still remember you trying your hardest to unsheathe the thing."

"And I remember you dropping the Rebellion's blade on your skull a number of times." Vergil immediately retaliates.

"Hey, you try wielding a big-ass sword like that!"

"I did. Once."

"Ah, right."

"And you used mine multiple times."

"Hey, don't be mad at me! That was a whole mess and a half. It would've been a whole lot worse if I didn't get it!"

"From what you've told me, it wouldn't have escalated as it did if they didn't acquire the Yamato."

"Then maybe you shouldn't have dropped the damn thing!"

Vergil cracks a small smile at his brother's frustration.

"You two really are brothers, huh?" Yuuka asks, a smile on her face.

"Yeah? Do we not look alike or something?" The red clad man asks.

"No, I meant… The way you two were fighting reminds me of a pair or sisters I know back at Millennium." The purplette explains, oddly wistful. "They bicker just like you two."

Both brothers merely raise an eyebrow at one another. The message clear: They definitely don't 'bicker' like us.

Dante chuckles before realizing something. "Y'know, we only know one of your names."

"Good point." The bespectacled blonde nods. "My name's Hinomiya Chinatsu, field medic of Gehenna Academy's Prefect Team." The school's name seems to cause Vergil's eyebrow to raise.

"I'm Morizuki Suzumi, of Trinity Academy's Vigilante Crew." The whitette introduces next.

"Vigilante?" Dante asks.

"Trinity is a big school. The Justice Task Force can't be everywhere. And legal means cannot do everything."

"Speaking of." The blackette speaks up. "I am Hanekawa Hasumi, member of Trinity's Justice Task Force."

"I already said it once, but I'm Hayase Yuuka, the treasurer of Seminar, Millennium Science School's student council." Yuuka reintroduces.

Before the conversation could continue, the student pilot tells them that they've reached their destination. The helicopter quickly lands, and the six occupants shuffle out. The helicopter leaves soon after.

"So, that building's our destination?" Dante asks, looking towards a building that towers over many other buildings in the area, save for the General Student Council's building behind them.

"Correct. That is the Schale building." Suzumi confirms.

"It's still around ten kilometers away." Hasumi adds. "We have quite the trek ahead of us."

"So long as any delinquents don't bother us." Yuuka adds.

"Delinquents?" Vergil asks.

"Students who've dropped out of their schools often resort to forming gangs, committing crimes. It's quite a problem back in Gehenna." Chinatsu explains, adjusting her glasses.

"Well, let's just hope they-"

"Look, there's some idiots over here!" A voice interrupts Dante.

Sure enough, a gaggle of girls, clad in grey uniforms and black masks show up from around the corner, all wielding various guns.

"Stand back, Senseis! We'll handle this!" Yuuka says, her and the other three girls readying their guns.

Vergil holds a hand out in front of them. "Wait a moment. Let us ensure they actually mean us harm."

"B-But…" The purplette stammers.

"So, what do you kiddos want?" Dante asks the clearly hostile girls.

"Depends. You with the GSC?" One thug asks.

"Kinda." Dante shrugs.

"Kinda?" Another asks.

"We're doing a favor for 'em."

"Then…" They all point their guns at Dante, prompting the four girls to point their guns at the thugs. "You can get lost too!"

BANG

"Sensei!" Multiple of the four girls shout as Dante's head whips back. Vergil merely rolls his eyes at their concern.

"Hang on a sec. These guys don't have halos!" Another thug shouts, much to the shock and horror of the other delinquents.

"Ugh." Dante groans, standing straight as he grabs his forehead. "Why do women always have to shoot me?" He says, pulling the bullet from his head and flicking it aside without care. Not even a dent is left behind, leaving all of the girls baffled.

"D-Dante-Sensei?" The blonde asks.

"Yeah?" The younger brother asks.

"How are you not hurt?"

"I'm pretty tough." Dante just jokes.

"Honestly." Vergil groans, before turning to the gang of girls, his eyes narrowed. "Enough of this, move out of our way."

"Don't think just because you don't have a halo that we won't shoot you, old man!" One thug threatens, obviously bluffing. Vergil does not rise to the threat.

"Go ahead, then. You will find it a waste of time and bullets."

"A-Alright then." One thug says, clearly aiming near- but not at- the older man.

In the next instant, Yamato's sheath quickly smacks away the bullet, sending it right back into the forehead of the girl who shot it.

"Gah! What the-?" She shouts, rubbing her forehead.

Dante laughs at their baffled expressions as Vergil simply shakes his head, opting to walk towards the thugs.

"Vergil-Sensei?" The blackette asks.

"Come along. Our destination is this way."

The thugs part ways from the irate Vergil. Dante just sighs and follows after him.

"H-Hey! Senseis!" Yuuka shouts, following the brothers along with the other three girls.

The group of delinquents are left behind, baffled at the turn of events. They certainly won't be the last to feel that way in the coming few days.

AN

So. I've been gone a while.

Though not really, I still read stuff on these sites. I just haven't had the motivation to write anything. My solution was this snippet story, much like the many snippet threads on Questionable Questing- a site I've been spending a lot of time on as of late.

Instead of starting a story, I'll simply write what comes to mind. If it goes somewhere, I'll make it its own story. If not, that's okay too. Enough chapters and I'll probably make it its own story. Maybe.

As for Joshua Sensei, I might come back to it one day. But not today.
