Chapter Text
Tim woke up that morning feeling...strange. He didn't know what the feeling was but it was certainly present.
Sitting up, he realized what felt so strange.
He slept.
For 8 whole hours.
And then he proceeded to lay back down in bed and stare at the ceiling for approximately 30 minutes (he set a timer) getting lost in his thoughts before walking to the kitchen.
Stepping over the cracked tile, he stared at his fridge. His very empty fridge. After closing it he checked the pantry and then proceeded to check the fridge once more.
Sighing in disappointment that the empty fridge hadn't magically summoned food inside, he stared at his phone.
"...is Jason's safe house closer or Dick's?" he mumbled.

Cracking open the window after disabling the alarm, Tim peeked inside the house looking to the left and the right before crawling in.
Crouching behind the couch he squinted his eyes at the fridge.
Sneaking over, he carefully opened it, cold air softly brushing over his skin.
Scanning the fridge looking until his eyes fell upon the container.
Grinning, Tim grabbed it and carefully closed the fridge. He took a small step backward, but...
"EEP-"
He bumped into something... no... some one .
Jumping back he entered a fighting position before he realized who it was.
"Did you honest ta' god just say 'eep' at me?"
Jason stood with his arms crossed as he stared Tim up and down.
"...mayhaps?"
"Don't fucking say that again, just say maybe like a normal person," he groaned.
"..."
"..."
"Mayhaps."
"Get out."

Walking back to his apartment with Jason's container of leftover brownies, he saw something in the corner of his eye.
Normally he would brush it off, but he decided to look.
And it was nothing.
He continued walking but more carefully, cautious with each step.
Suddenly everything felt cold. The hairs on the back of his neck rose. His shoulders stiffened but he forced them to relax. Whoever was trailing him won't get the satisfaction of seeing him spooked.
He was petty like that.
Dropping a tissue on purpose, he turned around to pick it up, scanning the area while he did.
Nothing.
Strange.
Suddenly everything felt cold.
Like he was submerged in deep cold water. Pressure pushing down on his chest.
Despite everything, he still tried taking deep breaths, mildly succeeding.
Stumbling back to his apartment and shutting the door closed, locking it, he collapsed onto his couch.
The container of brownies slipped from his hand and gently hit the floor, a soft thud barely heard over Tim's gasps for air.
God...why...was he so...fucking sleepy...

Danny opened his eyes. Sitting up, he looked around taking in his surroundings.
Why does he feel so goddamn sickly? He's dead.
...
Right.
He's dead.
Leaning back onto the strange couch he sighed.
It's the 3 year anniversary since he's died. He left home since he just couldn't stay there...being able to see everyone yet they couldn't see or hear him.
Trying to reassure them all, but his cries just gets lost in the gentle breeze of the wind.
That's all he is now.
A gentle breeze.
Standing up, brushing the thoughts away, he looked around trying to figure out where he was and how he ended up there.
And why he was so hungry.
...Isn't he dead? He's never felt hungry before. Weird.
Last he remembered he was watching this one kid walking home that looked hauntingly (haha!) like him when he was alive.
So when he saw a picture frame of said kid and some other people in the apartment? He freaked the fuck out.
How did he end up in this random ass kid's apartment? Why was he so hungry? Why does this kid only have fancy rich peanut butter in his pantry and one single piece of string cheese in his fridge? Holy shit how did he open the fucking door?
And most of his questions were answered when his eyes landed on a mirror.
His thoughts went kinda like this:
WHY CAN I SEE MYSELF??
WAIT HOW AM I ALIVE..?
No...I'm not alive...THIS IS THE KID'S BODY???
HOW DID I END UP...POSSESSING(?) THIS KID??????
And after freaking out he decided to take deep, calm, breaths.
Okay. Now he just had to...unpossess this kid. Right. How does one unpossess someone? Do you just... decide to want to unpossess them?
Okay. Better than doing nothing. Might as well try it.
He closed his eyes and thought repeatedly,
'I want to unpossess this kid, I want to unpossess this kid, I want to unpossess this kid- '
A strange feeling enveloped him momentarily, and when he opened his eyes, he was floating again and sitting in front of the kid he was possessing.
'Oh my god I can't believe that worked? ' is what he would be thinking, if he wasn't so stunned by the same equally shocked face staring back at him.
