Work Text:
The blue rubber bone was firm under his teeth as Frank gnawed on it, holding it with his curled hands he liked to think of as paws. He wasn't fully in pupspace, but it still felt nice to pretend. He grumbled a bit to himself, leaving the bone to the side as he sat up. He barely noticed the plug anymore, only when the black silicone tail bounced against his skin.
He tried to have fun, tried to ignore the throbbing in his abdomen. But Frank really had to fucking pee, and neither of his owners would take him out.
He'd tried scratching at the door, he'd tried barking. But nothing seemed to be able to pull them away from their writing and practicing. He could hear it now, Ray plucking strings on his guitar while Gerard sorted through the papers.
Maybe Gerard would take a small break. Just long enough to open the door and allow him out.
But maybe that was wishful thinking, because neither of them even paid Frank any attention as he crawled into the kitchen. The tile was cold against his knees, no knee-pads strapped around them this time. He sat politely, even though that was the very last thing he wanted to do. Still, no attention.
He gave a yip, interrupting Ray's experimenting.
"Frankie, no, go play by yourself. We're busy." Gerard told him off, pointing to the doorway. Frank crawled closer to paw at his owner's leg. That wasn't what he wanted, what he needed. He wished he could speak, could beg to be allowed out. But he was a good puppy; and good puppies don't speak unless told.
"No, puppy. Later." Gerard said, more firmly this time, which made Frank back off. He began to crawl back to his toys, ashamedly. The water bowl by the doorway was empty, lapped up a good hour ago. He was definitely feeling it now, a fullness that he couldn't ignore anymore.
Frank flopped onto the living room rug, on his back. He could feel the yarn-like shag on his bare skin. He held his paws curled against his chest, rolling restlessly. He was so full, so uncomfortable and desperate. All he wanted was to be against a bush, leg up as he got his relief.
He watched the ceiling fan spin on the popcorn roofing, closing his eyes for a moment as he took a deep breath. He could still hear Gerard's voice from the other room, but it was soothing singing this time, working out the melody of a song they had in progress. It was nice for a moment, distracting almost.
His chest fell with his exhale, rolling onto his stomach. He just as quickly rolled back over. That did not help his situation, just added to the pressure he already felt. He looked around for anything to do, something to pass the time. It was no telling how long those two would be at it, and focusing on it didn't help either.
A rope toy lay a foot or two from the bone, primary color twists that looked enticing. He picked it up- with his teeth of course- shaking it around wildly. But after a few minutes, he grew distracted once more. Maybe if he asked again, they'd see how desperate he was. That he didn't want to play.
So, back towards the kitchen. This time Frank whimpered in the doorway, leaning his head defeatedly against the frame. Gerard glared at him, but not a word was spared in his direction. Frank barked this time, twice for good measure.
"No, pup, we can't play right now." Ray said, more gently than Gerard had been speaking. His fingers danced up the guitar neck tentatively, though he wasn't playing anything at the moment.
Frank wanted to cry. That wasn't what he needed.
He growled, throwing himself onto the floor with more rolling. His hair was surely a mess, but he didn't care. He barked again, hoping they'd get the hint this time.
"Frank, do you need to go in your crate?" Gerard asked, brow furrowed in warning. Frank whined, almost as if to say 'no, don't want that'. "Then be good. We'll be done soon, and then you can have attention." He said, returning to their song.
Frank refused to leave for a moment, until he realized he wasn't going to be able to convince them. He sat up, giving his best puppy eyes, but they didn't even look at him. Ray began another strum of chords, Gerard discussing what lyrics they should change or add.
Back in the living room.
Frank felt like he would go insane, just waiting. It had been about twenty minutes this time, and he couldn't wait anymore.
As a last resort, he returned and hooked his teeth into the hem of Gerard's black jeans, tugging, trying to pull him away from his seat. He had a solid pull, but Gerard was having none of it.
Gerard smacked his head with the stack of papers which he'd rolled up, a few more times until Frank finally let up. He barked and barked, only stopping when he got hit again.
"Frank. I don't know what's gotten into you today, but if you don't stop right now you're getting punished. This is your last warning. Go." Gerard commanded. Frank shoved his face into the denim of Gerard's thigh, slightly nuzzling.
"Oh, no, no. You can't be all sweet now to get out of trouble. Leave. Go." Gerard pointed to the doorway once more. Frank tried Ray, too, nuzzling and whining.
"Ray isn't going to give you attention, either." Gerard said. "Isn't that right?"
"Mhm." Ray hummed in agreement. "We'll be done in a little bit, okay? Not much longer. Be good, don't make us put you in your crate. You don't wanna go up, right?" Ray asked, still more gentle than his partner. He looked Frank in the eyes, made him feel like he really cared. Frank knew he did, but that just wasn't what he needed.
He really didn't want to go up, though. Especially not now. Frank pouted, letting his cheek squish against Ray's knee, before he let up and made his way back out.
Frank didn't like to think like this, not when it was supposed to be puppy time. The times he had the collar clipped around his neck were supposed to be carefree and non-human. But he wasn't sure what to do anymore.
They wouldn't listen, and he couldn't hold it anymore. Not even ten minutes. The gears in his head turned, and he looked around. He began to sniff around like a dog would. He wasn't sure what he was sniffing for, but it felt right as he explored his options.
The couch, maybe a cushion? But he doubted that would soak up everything. The rug, gray-almost-white, was easily stained and hard to clean. And he definitely didn't want to mess up his crate. The floor seemed like his best option, waxed hardwood that was easy to mop and wouldn't be harmed if wet.
He looked around, making sure neither of his owners were coming in. He debated back and forth for a moment, frowning while he squirmed. He didn't want to be a bad dog, but he was so desperate it hurt.
Frank began to circle a spot behind the couch, sniffing a bit before he put his body in position, tail facing the doorway. He hesitated on lifting his leg.
That would be it. If he let go, he'd definitely be punished. Sometimes he liked that, but now it didn't feel worth it. He was far from anything that would be seriously ruined- like the couch and rug- but it still felt wrong and bad.
He had to bite back a sound as a few drips fell from his cock, body making the decision for him.
Fuck it.
He lifted his leg, panting as his piss began to spray onto the floor. He didn't watch as it made a puddle under him, eyes closed and tongue out. It just felt so good, so perfect to finally get his relief. His mind blanked as he felt the stretch of his bladder leave his body. It just kept going and going, a hissing noise echoing throughout the room.
He felt like a real dog. He was a naughty dog who'd been left alone for too long and drank too much, and now he was dealing with the repercussions.
"Frankie!" Gerard snapped from behind him, and Frank paid him no attention.
He was a dog, and he had to pee.
Frank finished up a few moments later, letting the final bit drip into the pool he'd already produced.
"Oh, Frankie, look at the mess you've made." Gerard said, exasperatedly, pulling Frank forward by the back of his collar. Frank stumbled out of the way of his 'accident', turning to look at it.
There was a large yellow puddle on the floor. Frank simply panted still, not finding remorse in himself. He felt relieved, felt good. But he couldn't find those words in his current mindset, couldn't even think of anything except how nice it felt to get that out.
"Bad dog, bad fucking dog. You don't piss on the floor. You wait until we take you out." Gerard scolded. Frank noticed that Ray was leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed, and he looked away with a small blush. Ray had a stern look on his face, too.
"You seriously couldn't wait? We just finished. But here you are, making a mess. You didn't even stop when I came in." Gerard continued. Frank felt small when his owner used that tone. He knew it was wrong, but he didn't have a choice. His head hung, not daring to look up at him.
"Honey, can you grab the mop?" Gerard asked Ray with a sigh, who went shortly to get it. Frank heard the faucet running as Ray filled a pot to boil for the mop bucket.
Gerard hooked two fingers in Frank's collar, pulling him towards his crate in the corner of the room. Frank didn't fight, simply went, because he knew he'd been bad. Struggling would simply make things worse.
Gerard shoved him into the metal crate face-first, harshly shutting the door. Frank heard the lock click shut as he turned around, giving a small whimper. Gerard was squatted in front of the large crate, giving Frank an angry look.
"You will stay in this crate for an hour, and you will think about your actions." He said, simply, leaving Frank with that. Frank let a few tears fill his eyes, but he didn't cry fully. He pulled one of his stuffed animals, a bat, to the front of the cage where he lied, looking out. He chewed on the large ear for comfort, resting his chin on the soft pad which covered the crate bottom.
He heard Ray bring the bucket in, the fwap of a towel hitting the puddle before they started mopping. The citrus scent of pine-sol hit his senses, and Frank closed his eyes. An hour was a long time, but he guessed he deserved it.
He focused on the rising and falling of his chest, taking breaths through his nose and letting them go from his mouth. He wasn't guilty, though some part inside him knew he should be. His mind was more simple like this, only upset about having to stay in the crate. His guilty conscience was buried under fuzzy rubble, to be brought out later.
After an impossibly long time, Frank perked up at footsteps approaching his crate. It was Ray, this time, in front of him. He could see Gerard's socked feet in the back, could tell he was leaning on the couch. Ray pulled the lock out and the door open, moving to the side to allow Frank to crawl out slowly. Frank dropped his bat on the way out, which Ray tucked carefully back in the cage for later.
Ray clipped a leash onto the d-ring of Frank's collar, metal clinking against metal as it hit the bone-shaped tag. Frankie. His owner stood with a tight hold on it, the familiar red nylon which they only used for outside time. Ray clicked his mouth a few times to show Frank he should follow, going with Gerard to the back door.
Frank took a deep breath, letting the cool outside air fill his lungs. Ray began towards the deck's stairs. Frank followed, hesitantly. It was hard to go down them on all fours, but he managed to awkwardly stumble down easy enough. Gerard waited at the top of them, watching with his arms crossed.
Frank simply let himself follow the pull of the leash. They did a few loops around the perimeter. It was nice to stretch his legs after being cramped up so long. He flopped onto his back, panting, paws curled like before. Ray smiled and kneeled down, rubbing down his chest and stomach. Frank squirmed, letting his pant fall into a weird open mouthed grin.
"Aw, yeah, who's a good puppy? You took your punishment so well, didn't you? Didn't even bark or whine or anything." Ray praised, patting Frank's stomach before pulling his hand back. Frank yipped at that, he wanted more, was enjoying the pressure of his owner's hand on his skin.
"Hm? What is it, boy? Is it this?" Ray laughed, scrubbing his hand up Frank's torso again.
Yes, yes, yes. Frank yipped again happily, and suddenly he wished he could actually wag his tail. He got back on his paws, coming close to Ray to lick his face. He was unrestrained with it, excited. Ray giggled, not quite shying away but gently pushing his head away. "Okay, okay! Haha- No- No more licks-"
Frank bowed into a playful position for a moment and shook his hips, looking at Ray with sparkling eyes.
"Ah, look at that tail wagging. Who's a happy puppy, is it you?" Ray cooed, cupping Frank's face. Frank barked in agreement, rolling around excitedly again.
They continued the walk, taking a detour to the bush in the corner shortly. Frank sat, waiting for command. Ray pointed at the bush with a gentle snap. "Go on, go potty."
Frank sniffed a bit before putting his leg up. He looked Ray in the eyes while he emptied himself, wanted to hear his owner tell him he was doing well. Wanted him to see that he was following orders, that he knew how to be good.
"Good boy. This is where we go potty, not inside." Ray reminded him. Frank blushed a bit with the memory of the previous events. But Ray didn't seem angry. Gerard's face wasn't harsh, anymore, either. Just flat as he observed the two.
Climbing up the stairs was much easier. Gerard slid the door shut as Ray went to go hang the leash back on it's hook. Gerard kneeled this time to meet his pup as he sat, pressing Frank's forehead with a tender kiss.
"We need to talk, okay? You have permission to speak." Gerard granted, and Frank tilted his head a bit, listening attentively.
"You understand why you were punished, yes?"
Frank nodded. He did.
"You're a good boy, but you did a bad thing, and that's why you got put in the crate."
Frank nodded again. That made sense, he was bad.
"I could have held longer." He spoke, softly, his first human words in a few hours. "But I was really full and uncomfortable."
Gerard nodded this time.
"I understand that. And nobody is mad at you, okay? You just broke a rule and got punishment for it. But that doesn't mean we're angry or that you're bad." He reassured him, reaching up to caress Frank's cheek with the arm that wasn't resting on his knee. Frank melted into his touch, into the soft hand stroking the side of his face. "Next time, don't drink it all at once, okay? If you're feeling really thirsty, we need to work on you staying more hydrated throughout the day."
Frank gave a few licks to Gerard's hand, gentle as opposed to the attack he'd given Ray outside. "Yes, sir." He confirmed he'd been listening, keeping steady eye contact with Gerard. "Uhm.. I try to drink. I forget sometimes." He explained.
"Do you need help with that, Frankie? We can remind you, if you'd like. To drink more." Gerard asked. Frank shrugged. "I'm not sure. Can we talk about it later?" He asked. He wasn't exactly opposed to it, but it felt complicated to figure out at the moment. He wanted to cuddle up to his owners, wanted to get out of his gear and maybe watch some TV.
"Of course. You're alright? Feeling okay after everything?" Gerard checked in. Frank nodded again, but remembered he was always supposed to give a verbal answer to check-ins.
"I'm okay. Wanna cuddle. Wanna be Frank again." He said, looking away this time. He had fun, but his kink battery was quickly beginning to drop now. "Yeah, we can do that, come on. All fours until your collar's off." Gerard reminded him, standing up.
Their queen size bed had never seemed so nice before as Frank lay on his side, curling up with a pillow in his arms. He had his eyes closed, but could hear Gerard gathering some things while quietly chatting with Ray. Frank felt the weight of the mattress shift. Someone was on the edge of the bed now, but he was much too exhausted to check who it was.
"Hey, honey. Can I see your collar? Let's get this off you, hm?" Ray gently pushed the pillow out of the way, sweeping Frank's hair from his face. It felt freeing to get the collar unbuckled from where it previously pressed on his neck. Frank groaned just barely, and Ray's expression softened. "Oh, baby, I know. Does anything hurt? Just tired?"
Frank could feel Gerard softly kneading his thighs and hips. It was nice, Ray talking to him sweetly while Gerard ran his hands over his lower body. The ache was beginning to set in.
"Knees. Ass." He answered, simply. He had been in gear and on all fours for about five hours at that point. Normally, they used knee pads, but Frank had found them particularly uncomfortable that day so they decided to scrap them. No big deal, maybe just some mild bruising. His ass did have a dull pain in it though, well-stretched from having the tail in so long.
"Plug's coming out, okay, puppy?" Gerard asked, hands moving lower to Frank's ass. Frank mumbled a 'yeah'. He didn't really feel like talking, but pushed on. "Deep breath." Gerard said. That was all the warning Frank got before he slowly pulled it out. Frank held his breath, feeling it pop out shortly. He never got used to that odd feeling no matter how many times they'd done this. He sighed when it was over, chin falling back into the pillow.
Gerard went off with the plug, probably put it in the bathroom sink for now to be boiled later. Ray was running his fingers through Frank's hair. Frank felt like he could breathe again, felt like he could almost melt into the mattress.
Something bubbled up inside him, though, something that brought tears pricking to his eyes.
He wasn't sure why he was crying, but he quietly whimpered and hic'd into the pillow, keeping a half-firm hold on it.
"Hey, hey," Ray stepped in immediately. "Is it the pain? Feelings?" He asked.
Frank's cries picked up. He didn't know. Maybe it was both. He tried to talk, but it just came out more as babbles, words falling apart instead of lining up legibly.
Gerard had come back at this point, visibly concerned as he took in the shaking form of his pup.
Frank needed painkillers, needed some clothes and a blanket, but he didn't know how to express that.
"Gee, grab him some ibuprofen." Ray said, quietly. Gerard's steps faded into the other room once more. "C-Clothes." Frank choked out, with a small shudder.
"Cold?" Ray asked, pulling the soft blanket over Frank. Their bed wasn't made, usually messy and familiar unless one of them felt like getting it into order. Frank nodded, eyes squeezing for a moment to blink the tears out.
"Here, honey. Take this." Gerard held two pills up to Frank's lips, putting them in when he parted his lips. He helped Frank drink some water, taking a few gulps before he pulled back with some coughs.
Gerard sat and Ray got up to dig through the closet for something comfortable. He settled on boxers and a t-shirt, not too constricting. They worked together to dress Frank. He felt heavy, felt like a doll as he went limp to let them shift him and pull the shirt over his head then boxers over his legs.
Frank closed his eyes, his partners slipping into bed and under the comforter around him. They cuddled for a while after that, a lovely haven of arms and chests and warmth.
"So, so good for us." Gerard praised quietly, hand working in Frank's hair. Then came Ray's voice, "Such a good boy. Our pup did so well for us."
Frank let it wash over him like rain, like wind chimes on a perfect-temperatured night where the clouds don't stop pouring. He wanted it to last forever.
Ray nibbled gently at his earlobe, lovingly, Gerard kissing his cheek.
"All ours, our good boy."
"Mhm, ours."
Maybe it would.
