Work Text:
So here's Enid watching Eugene throw Pugsley's clothes out the window while Addams looks on more grimly than usual.
“Shouldn't we intervene?” Bruno is next to him eating popcorn while Ajax records everything.
“Let them kill each other, it's more fun,” Wednesday replies to the wolf.
Enid's gaze returns to the scene at that moment. Some of Pugsley's things are scattered around him. The reason for the fight is unclear. she was just passing by and suddenly saw the pale-skinned young man jumping out the window while shouting that this was crazy and that the curly-haired one should learn to behave better, although his screams were muffled when a book smashed into his face and knocked him on his ass.
Eugene, on the other hand, looked somewhat agitated and upset. The words coming out of his mouth were, “You're an idiot, Pugsley Addams!” or “I hope your life is happy and full of unicorns!” This was very painful for the young man.
“You can't hate me forever, Eugene!”
“Watch how I do it, you damn jerk!” Pugsley's assortment of weapons was thrown, causing the non-Addams to move to avoid being hit and killed.
“Can you tell that this makes it look like my parents are fighting?” Ajax's question causes things to stop and the others to look at him.
“Pugsley did something stupid and got me involved, now I'm in detention for a week.” Eugene had stopped throwing things, but he was still holding a box that surely contained more of Pugsley's stuff. “My bees are getting sick, I can't go to detention if they get worse!”
“It's not my fault. How was I supposed to know the librarian would find us when I was giving you a blow job?”
He didn't mince words when he said that. The four older youths shifted their gaze from one boy to another to try to clarify the situation.
“If you want a divorce, I accept! But I want Lady Bee!”
Lady Bee is the bee stuffed animal that Pugsley won at a silly fair that came to Jericho a few months ago. They had been allowed to go on the condition that they would return before their curfew. The bee was medium-sized, its yellow color was lighter than the other stuffed animals, and its eyes were poorly made. Its wings were fine, and its antennae were slightly crooked, but that didn't matter because the moment Eugene saw it, he fell in love with that little stuffed animal.
He didn't earn it fairly, as Pugsley used one of his tricks when the vendor wasn't looking, and in an instant the stall was almost on fire and the black-haired boy was already running towards the Ferris wheel with the stuffed animal in his arms. Eugene's happy face was worth it, that and the fact that he was rewarded that night with a marathon of scary movies.
“I'll never give Lady Bee to you! You don't deserve her!”
“I won her, she's mine!”
“You stole her, you don't even pay attention to her, you only want her when it suits you.” Small tears welled up in the beekeeper's eyes. “You do the same to me.”
“¿What? Mia falena nera, I would never do that to you.” Pugsley approached the window and reached out to grab Eugene's hands. “Is that why you've been acting strange these days?” The curly-haired boy nodded shyly.
“It's just that... We haven't talked in days and you just seem to want to ignore me, then you showed up at the library and that happened, and I just don't know.”
“Oh, Cara Mia, you should have told me from the beginning.” Pugsley's lips moved closer to Eugene's hands and he began to kiss them. “I'm sorry you felt so used.”
“It doesn't bother me so much to be used by you.” The beekeeper's face was red after saying those words.
“I love it when you get like this, ma belle fleur venimeuse.”
Young Addams entered through the bedroom window. The sounds of what seemed like a passionate kiss could be heard, followed by gasps and the movement of two bodies falling onto the bed.
“I think we'd better leave.” It was the only time Enid spoke, and the other three agreed with her, as they quickly left when they heard Eugene calling Pugsley.
Apparently, Lady Bee would not have to experience her parents' divorce.
