Ethos Lab (I dunno)

Summary:

Pathos- persuasion based on emotion
Logos- persuasion based on logic
Ethos- persuasion based on trust/credibility

Been thinking about Hermits & Friends Among Us, and how everyone just instantly trust whatever Etho says. Because it’s Etho.

I don’t even watch Etho’s videos, well not consistently anyway. I just think he’s neat.

Work Text:

There are three basic types of persuasive arguments. The first is called pathos, it’s based on emotions and using those emotions to get your audience to listen to you. The second is logos, which is based on logic, using facts to earn the audience’s belief. The third is called ethos, which is based on trust, and credibility that was already there, “I’ve been right a lot in the past, so I’m probably right this time.”

Ethoslab, Etho’s Lab, Etho Slab. The Hermits and their friends kinda blindly trust him during Among Us, almost as much as Gem, if not more. Because they see him as a credible source, which you know, fair. He’s “Mr. Minecraft.” Why not trust him?

Ethoslab, Etho’s Lab, Etho Slab. Ethos Lab? Interesting idea, you know?
