Chapter 1: Shit, am I attracted to him?
Chapter Text
Thomas jolted awake as lights flashed in his eyes. He was moving rapidly when he felt a jolt, then lurched to a stop. Groaning, he clutched the back of his head, squinting as sunlight suddenly poured into the box he was trapped in.
As his eyes adjusted to the light, Thomas saw several teenage boys crowded around, looking down at him inside the box.
"Another one?" said an older boy, looking at Thomas with a mix of amusement and concern.
Thomas stared at them in confusion and panic, saying nothing.
The older teenager extended a hand, and Thomas recoiled as if it were poisonous.
“Don’t worry, Alby won’t bite,” said a light voice.
Thomas looked around for the source of the voice, and his gaze landed on a skinny, blond-haired boy, who had a smirk on his face. Thomas couldn’t seem to take his eyes off the boy, whose blue eyes searched his.
Thomas grabbed Alby’s hand, and Alby pulled him out into the grass. Thomas groaned, rolling around on his back.
“Hey, greenie.”
Thomas sat up and looked over to another boy, who had an eyebrow raised and what seemed to be a permanent scowl on his face.
“Gally, let him go,” the blond one spoke up again.
“Where am I?” Thomas asked, looking around the grassy field.
“The glade,” another boy answered.
Thomas didn’t say anything else, just looked at the rest of the boys. His eyes kept straying towards the blond boy hiding in the back, who was watching with shrewd eyes.
Alby walked up to him and sat next to him, shooing the others away.
“Sorry for everyone staring at you. Sometimes, I forget the feeling of just arriving here.”
“Where is here?” Thomas asked.
“As Chuck called it, the glade. We don’t know exactly on Earth, but we know this is where we are. I’ve been here the longest, almost three years. We’ve made a life here.”
“Three years?” Thomas asked, shock evident in his voice.
“Yeah. There, beyond those big stone walls you see, is a maze. There are runners in there right now, scouting the maze and looking for a way out.”
Thomas stared at the big walls, one of which was open.
“We have a farm, and Frypan, whom you’ll meet later, is usually in charge of cooking and preservation. Winston, who will come and check on you, is in charge of medical.”
“What’s Newt in charge of?” Thomas asked, trying not to sound overly curious.
If Alby noticed, he didn’t say anything. “Newt was here pretty early on, and he showed an affinity for farming. Gally is the brawn around here, not necessarily the brain. But everyone has a role here.”
Thomas nodded. “How did you figure out how long you’ve been here?”
Alby looked over at the metal cage, where some of the boys were still unloading boxes.
“We get another boy on the first of every month. It helps us keep track of how many months we’ve been here.”
“That's depressing,” Thomas said.
Alby nodded and turned towards the camp, where Thomas saw a string of hammocks.
“Chuck will put up a hammock for you, and you’ll join the boys' sleeping area tonight.”
“Do you sleep in the boys' area as well?”
“No. One benefit to being in charge? I get my own room.”
Thomas, despite his anxiety, smiled. There was something about Alby that made him feel at ease, comfortable.
“Who are the runners?” Thomas asked.
“We have just two. Minho and Ben. They’ve been runners forever.”
Thomas sat in silence, observing the area around him. On one side of the property were the sleeping area, the eating area, and what looked like jail cells dug into the ground.
Alby saw Thomas looking around and got up. “Go, look around. No one’s going anywhere. Ask whatever. I’ve got things to attend to to make sure we can accommodate another one, and make sure you have a place to sleep tonight.”
Thomas nodded and watched Alby walk away. He looked around the area again before settling on going to the farming area. Thomas spotted the blond in the distance again, whose eyes were watching him closely.
Thomas couldn't help but be drawn towards the boy, but he couldn’t be sure why. Thomas headed over to the area, and, as he got closer, he realized that the blond boy was smirking.
“Hey, greenie.”
“Thomas,” Thomas said, glancing at him out of the corner of his eyes.
“What?” The blond boy asked.
“Thomas. I think that’s my name.”
“Newt,” Newt said.
“Nice to meet you. I just wanted to follow you over her and get a better view. You look really familiar to me,” Thomas said, turning again to walk away.
Newt quickly followed him, grabbing his shoulder.
“None of us has any memories from before. We have no idea what happened to us or how we got here. But you’re the only one I’ve felt somewhat familiar with,” Newt responded, meeting Thomas’s eyes.
Thomas’s eyes met his, the spark in his eyes reflecting Newt’s.
“How do the boys get off around here?” Thomas asked.
Newt blinked, the question throwing him off. “You’re not one to pull any punches, are you?”
Thomas looked at him without saying anything, waiting patiently for an answer. Newt sighed.
“I don’t know. We don’t exactly talk about that kind of thing.”
Thomas tilted his head, scanning Newt up and down. “Interesting.”
Thomas turned and walked towards the cabin where the sleeping hammocks were, leaving Newt behind.
Newt was dumbfounded, staring after him in shock. Thomas was an interesting character.
There was an edge in his eyes, though. Something Newt noticed. It’s almost like he was empty, no feelings.
Almost like there was a...void.
+++
At the beginning of every month, there is a party. It’s to welcome the greenies, and just let loose for just a couple of hours before the rest of the month begins. Newt watched as Thomas looked on from a distance, surveying everyone.
“He’s kind of...scary looking,” Chuck said, saddling up next to Newt.
Newt turned to look at him, an unsaid question written on his face.
“I mean, look at him. He’s just...scary looking.”
“It’s probably first-day jitters,” Newt said. “I was standoffish on my first day as well.”
“Yeah,” Chuck said, watching Thomas.
Chuck walked away without saying anything else, and Newt started heading towards Thomas, who was watching him out of the corner of his eye.
“What are you watching?” Newt asked, settling on the grass next to him.
“Everyone. You guys seem to have a good support system here,” Thomas said, sounding more human than he did before.
“Yeah, well, that happens when you’ve been here a while.”
Thomas gestured towards the boy in a blue shirt, who looked drenched in sweat.
“That one’s Minho, right?” he asked, not looking at Newt.
“Yeah. He’s one of the runners.” he paused. “How’d you know his name?”
Thomas shrugged, not offering an answer. Newt watched him out of the corner of his eye before sighing and offering Thomas a drink of what their version of alcohol is.
Thomas accepted a sip before coughing violently. “What the hell is this?”
Newt laughed. “I don’t even know. It’s Gally's special recipe.”
Thomas spat it on the ground, groaning. “That is disgusting,” Thomas said, looking at the yellow liquid with distaste.
“Yeah, but it's the only thing that gives us any sense of a buzz.”
“I can think of a few other things,” Thomas mumbled.
“What?” Newt asked, head whipping over to him.
“Nothing.”
Newt’s brow furrowed, but he proceeded to move on. “We should go join the others,” Newt said, standing up and dusting his pants off.
“Probably,” Thomas said.
He stood up and stretched, following Newt to the bonfire.
“Hey, Greenie!” Alby said, slapping him on the back. “Welcome to the party!”
Thomas nodded, glancing around at everyone. Thomas stepped forward when someone slammed into his back, almost knocking him over. Thomas turned around abruptly, staring at the boy who ran into him.
“Hey, greenie. You want to take a turn?” Gally asked, gesturing towards a makeshift fighting circle.
“No thanks,” Thomas said.
“Come on, greenie. It’s a tradition. If I knock you out, your first job tomorrow is going to the fertilizer pit.”
Thomas raised an eyebrow, looking around at all the boys, who started cheering him on. Thomas stepped into the ring without another word, meeting Gally’s gaze head-on. Gally was taller than Thomas by a significant bit, but that didn’t seem to bother Thomas at all.
“Do we have bets?” Alby called out.
People started shouting out Gally’s name, but Newt just watched from the sidelines. Somehow, he knew that Gally didn’t have this one. Thomas met his eyes from the circle and winked at him. Newt felt himself blush, but he couldn’t tell it was because of the fire ot Thomas bluntly flirting with him in front of everything and everyone.
‘It has to be the heat,’ Newt thought, shrugging it off. Still, he couldn’t hide the fact that he felt butterflies every time he and Thomas exchanged longing glances and Thomas looked at him with a lingering gaze.
‘Cripes, Newt, you’ve known him for a total of eight hours. Get over yourself,’ he thought, giving himself a mental slap. ‘There’s no way he feels the same. ’
Newt snapped himself out of it before zoning back in on the fight, where Gally and Thomas were now circling each other. Gally lunged first, clearly expecting Thomas to flinch and be unprepared, but Thomas didn’t do or say anything. He stepped back, and Gally fell forward, nearly landing on his knees.
Thomas stepped back again, hovering near the edge of the circle. Gally got up and glared at Thomas, who was standing there with a ghost of a smirk on his face. Newt watched Thomas with fascination, admiring the way his shirt rode up, exposing his abs.
When Newt looked closer at his skin, he could see some scars on his back, some little ones. Newt found himself wondering where he had gotten the scars and why he wanted to run his hands over them.
“Damn!” Winston said. watching as Thomas took one step forward and tripped Gally, sending him out of the circle.
“Did Greenie just win?” one of the boys whispered.
“Not Greenie. Thomas,” he said, barely glancing at the boy who spoke.
Gally stood up, glaring at Thomas with a fire in his eyes.
“That wasn’t cool, Thomas,” Gally spat out, stepping back into the ring.
Something flickered in Thomas’s eyes, a challenge igniting in them. Newt swallowed the lump in his throat, watching with rapt attention. The way Thomas’s muscles flexed underneath his shirt, the ghost of a smirk on his face...
‘Oh, shit,’ Newt thought. ‘Am I attracted to Thomas?’
-
Thomas watched Gally with rapt attention. He knew he pissed the boy off when he tripped him, but he knew Gally’s momentum would knock him right off his feet.
Now, Thomas didn’t care about winning. The only thing he cared about was getting out of this god-damn fight. Someone called him greenie, and when he went to correct him, he spotted Newt out of the corner of his eye. Newt was watching him with close attention, his eyes wide with...something. Thomas couldn’t quite put his fingers on what the emotions were, but he knew Newt was thinking about him.
“That wasn’t cool, Thomas,” Gally spat.
Thomas didn’t care. He was more focused on why he couldn’t get his mind off of Newt. His hair, his blue eyes, the way he held himself with confidence....
‘Fuck,’ Thomas thought. ‘Am I attracted to Newt?’
Chapter 2: What?
Summary:
Thomas and Newt get closer, and it almost reaches a breaking point. Alby is suspicious, but won't say anything.
Thomas and Newt are horrible at keeping secrets.
Chapter Text
Thomas stared at Newt some more, getting distracted from what was currently happening. Before he knew it, Gally had knocked him on his ass.
While Thomas was trying to get his bearings back, Newt stepped forward, prepared to help him up. Alby held him back, looking at him and shaking his head.
Right. They weren’t allowed to help unless Winston was needed. Newt swallowed and stopped walking, watching. Thomas got to his feet, surprisingly graceful for just getting knocked over. He circled Gally, who seemed extra determined to knock him on his feet.
They were circling each other when a screeching sound filled the air. Everyone paused, staring at the closed door to the maze. There was a period of tense silence before Alby clapped his hands and made everyone jump.
“Well, I think that's the sign to end our party tonight,” he said. “We’ve got a long day tomorrow.”
All the boys mumbled and started walking off, and Thomas followed at a slower pace, not entirely sure where his bed was.
“Thomas! You’re next to me,” Chuck said, gesturing him over.
Thomas nodded and walked over to where his hammock was set up, glancing around to see who else was by him. He spotted Gally a few beds down, with Winston and Frypan across from him.
He spotted Newt in the next row over, effectively meaning they will be sleeping back to back.
“Hope you don’t snore,” Newt said, throwing a wink over his shoulder.
“Guess we’ll find out,” Thomas said back, flashing him a smile.
Newt felt butterflies in his stomach and quickly turned away. Thomas's brow furrowed, and he turned back to the hammock. Chuck walked over with a blanket and a small pillow and handed them to him.
“Thanks, Chuck.”
“No problem. Just a warning, some guys got nightmares on their first couple of nights here. I don’t know if you’ll be one of them, but don’t be surprised if you do. It’s normal.”
“If you wake me up any earlier than I have to be woken up, you’re not getting breakfast,” Frypan called from a distance.
“Noted,” Thomas called back, grinning.
He put the pillow on his hammock, the back of his head facing the back of Newt’s. He looked up at the sky in the glade, staring at the bright stars. He could’ve sworn he saw one blinking, but he brushed it off as being a trick of the light. He watched the stars as he started drifting off, listening to the other boys settle into their hammocks. Thomas drifted off to sleep, shutting his eyes to the images of stars.
-
Thomas sat up panting, barely concealing a scream. He wildly looked around, trying to get a grasp of his surroundings. The stars still twinkled in the sky above him, and he tried to take a deep breath.
Thomas was restless, and he knew there was no way in hell he was going back to sleep, not like this. He got out of his hammock, being careful not to disturb any of the other boys. Thomas didn’t look behind him as he walked away, heading towards what he assumed was a lookout tree.
He climbed the rickety stairs, lugging his sleep-heavy body to the top. The air was still warm, and there was no hint of the sun on the horizon yet. He sat up in the tree, bark against his back as the nightmare raced through his head.
He was yelling people's names, and he saw Newt, Minho, and Chuck in clear tubes, all banging and yelling to get out. He was watching from the side with someone else, whom he couldn’t remember.
His heart was still pounding, and he took a few calming breaths. Just as his heart was starting to slow down, he heard a soft “Thomas?”
He whirled around, hands raised to protect himself.
“It’s just me,” Newt said, holding his hands up.
Thomas relaxed, eyes meeting his in the dark. “What are you doing here?”
“I saw you leave the sleeping area. I was worried,” he answered simply, climbing the rest of the way up the tower.
“Did I wake you?” Thomas asked, moving over to make room.
“No. I’ve had trouble sleeping since I got here. I saw you walk away and decided to check on you.”
Thomas blinked at him in the dark, trying to formulate a response that didn’t sound too sappy.
“Thank you,” Thomas said simply, still looking at Newt.
Newt nodded. “You know, when I can’t sleep, I draw shapes in the stars. It helps me focus on something else, rather than what's keeping me awake at night.”
“What keeps you awake at night?”
“Several things,” he said, not really giving a solid answer.
Thomas didn’t press, just went back to staring at the stars.
“I wonder what our lives were like before this,” Thomas wondered out loud. “You think we had lives out of this? Falling in love, happy childhood, families?”
“I don’t know,” Newt answered honestly. “I just always wonder if there's someone out there who misses me.”
Thomas rested his head on Newt’s shoulder, who stiffened up. If Thomas noticed anything, he didn’t say anything. After a few moments, Newt started to relax.
“Maybe I should just sleep up here from now on,” Newt said, yawning.
The warm air, the sound of the bugs, and Thomas’s head on his shoulder are lulling him to sleep.
“I’ll join you whenever you want me to,” Thomas said between a yawn.
Newt swallowed, debating if he should say what he wanted to say. ‘Fuck it,’ he thought.
“I wouldn’t hate that,” he responded, and he felt Thomas shift an inch closer.
Talking faded, and Newt eventually fell asleep to the sound of Thomas’s breathing.
-
When Newt woke up the next morning, he heard the sound of other boys' voices below them. Thomas’s head was still on his shoulder, his deep breathing nice and calm. The sun was just peeking over the horizon, and Newt only heard Frypan’s and Alby’s voices down there.
He moved his shoulder gently, and Thomas opened his eyes slowly.
“Morning, handsome,” Thomas said, grinning.
Newt blinked before meeting Thomas’s eyes again. “Handsome?”
“Would you rather have me call you something else?”
Newt didn’t answer, just looked at Thomas with another smile. ‘God, I want to kiss him,’Newt thought.
‘God, I hope he kisses me,’ Thomas thought, staring into Newt’s eyes.
There was a tense silence as the two men stared at each other, neither one breaking the silence.
“We should head down before the rest of the boys wake up,” Newt said, a blush rising in his cheeks.
Thomas couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment, debating whether he should make the jump and kiss Newt himself. Thomas stood up, stretching his back.
“I’ll see you down there,” Thomas said. “Want to meet back up here later?”
“Later?” Newt asked, looking up at him.
“Yeah. I actually slept really well up here,” Thomas confessed.
“As did I,” Newt confessed. “I’ll meet you up here. After everyone’s asleep.”
“Deal.”
Thomas turned and walked away, and Newt’s gaze followed him. He thunked his head against the tree, groaning.
Thomas’s feet landed on the ground, and Alby spotted him from over by the kitchen.
“Hey, Thomas. What were you doing up there?”
“I couldn’t sleep very well. I went up there to get away from everything. Ended up falling asleep.”
Alby’s eyes quickly looked up there, where he saw another mop of blond hair moving around. Alby didn’t care; he was just glad Newt had found someone he could trust and not be so standoffish.
“Oh, ok. The first night is always the hardest. I understand. Since you’re up already, I’m gonna give you some tasks to do, to see what kind of area you would like.”
“I want to be a runner,” Thomas responded, not missing a beat.
Alby started, turning to look at him in shock. “No one wants to be a runner.”
“Apparently, that changes today,” Thomas said, still staring at the wall.
“Minho and Ben already left. They leave before the sun comes up so they can get back sooner. Today, you’ll shadow everyone. Then you can decide if you still want to be a runner.”
Thomas nodded, turning toward where he heard Frypan banging pots.
“I’m assuming I’m with Frypan this morning?” he asked.
“No!” Frypan yelled, waving a pan in fake anger.
“Frypan has requested that he work alone. He’s kind of touchy about how he does things. The first person you’ll be shadowing is Gally,” Alby said, studying Thomas for a reaction.
Thomas grimaced before he could stop himself.
“Gally won’t touch you. He’s just a little unsure of new people, is all.”
Thomas grunted, not saying anything in response. “When he wakes up, he’ll take you to where he discusses security.”
“Who are we defending from?” Thomas asked. “It’s not that there are other people around.”
“It’s not people we are protecting from. It’s the grievers. You remember the screeching you heard last night? That was a griever.”
“Have they ever come in here? Into the Glade?” Thomas asked.
“No, they don’t. They only really come out at night, which is why Minho and Ben leave early in the morning.”
Thomas nodded. “Well, I can already tell you I want nothing to do with working with Gally.”
“There’s no one in med tent right now, so I guess that leaves you with Newt.”
Thomas tried to hide his pang of something...but he couldn’t put his finger on what he was feeling. “Since Newt is up, you can go ask him where you guys should start. Until I pull you, you’ll probably be with him most of the day.”
Thomas modded, walking away from Alby and heading towards Newt, who was heading towards the forest.
“It looks like I’m with you today,” Thomas said, looking over at Newt with a grin. “You gonna get sick of me?”
‘I’ll never get sick of you,’ Newt thought.
“Yes, Thomas. I’m so sick of you already. Go away,” Newt said sarcastically, looking over at him with an eyebrow raise.
“Well, damn,” Thomas said, placing a hand over his heart. “What’ll you have me do today?”
“Me,” Newt answered without thinking.
“What?”
“

Chapter Text
Newt opened his mouth to respond, but his mind went blank.
"I mean, I'm up for it," Thomas said, grinning.
"You've only known me for what, twelve hours?"
"That doesn't mean I'm not attracted to you," Thomas said.
"We can't do that," Newt said, finally meeting Thomas's eyes.
Thomas's pupils were huge, zeroed in on Newt's lips.
"Says who?"
Newt blanked yet again, not thinking of anyone who would actually say anything.
"I just don't want people to judge or say anything."
"So, you want to keep it a secret?" Thomas asked, taking a small step closer.
"Yeah,if-if we did this, I would want it to be a secret," Newt stammered, stuck in place as Thomas got closer.
"Ok, that's not a problem," Thomas said, bringing his voice down an octave.
Newt fought the shiver that went down his spine at the voice drop, already knowing how fucked he was.
How can he feel this much for a boy he just met?
"Newt!" a voice called out, shocking them out of their stare off.
Newt turned to see Frypan heading towards him, and when he turned back to Thomas, he had already backed away and was surveying the wall.
"What's up, Fry?"
"You got any tomatos ready? I need some."
"There should be some ready, yeah. Go ahead and get what you need."
"Thanks, man."
Frypan walked away without a glance back, and Newt looked back at Thomas, whose eyes were on him once again.
"How long before everyone wakes up?" Thomas asked, glancing at the sleeping area.
"It depends. It's not like we have anything to get to," Newt answered.
"Great, let's go for a walk," Thomas said, turning on his heels and walking into the forest.
Newt sputtered, but followed him nonetheless. Thomas led them to the middle of the forest, trusting that Newt was going to follow.
"Thomas, what the bloody hell are-hmph!"
Newt was interrupted when Thomas turned suddenly and pressed his lips against Newt's. It was tentative, unsure. Thomas didn't know if this was too abrupt or random, but he knew the tension was going to kill him all day, and maybe kissing Newt would be the best idea to get it out.
Newt was surprised for half a second before he started kissing Thomas back, much to Thomas's relief. Newt fought the urge to moan into his mouth, and Thomas kissed harder. Thomas backed him against the tree, hand on the back of Newt's neck, the other hand resting on his waist.
Newt wrapped his hands at the base of Thomas's hair and gently pulled. Thomas gasped into Newt's mouth, kissing harder.
"Do that again," Thomas whispered against Newt's mouth, moving his hand to cup Newt's ass.
Newt moaned, taking a leap and plunging his tongue into Thomas's mouth. Thomas groaned around him and picked Newt up, pressing him harder against the tree.
"Fuck," Newt said, exposing his neck.
Thomas didn't hesitate, kissing down his neck. Thomas got to his collarbone, where he sucked a dark mark on his skin.
"People are gonna see that," Newt whispered, panting.
"Say a bug bit you," Thomas said, not missing a beat.
"A handsome bug," Newt replied, looking into Thomas's eyes.
Thomas smirked, running his hands underneath Newt's shirt and squeezing his hips. Newt brought Thomas closer to him, where the friction from their dicks rubbing brought stars to his eyes.
"Fuck," Thomas growled out, pressing harder against Newt.
Newt and Thomas were kissing in between gasps of air, making use of the time when they weren't gonna get caught.
"God, I can't wait to fuck you," Thomas said, starting to move against Newt.
"Who says I'm bottom?" Newt asked, biting his lip and looking at Thomas with hooded eyes.
"I'm up for both," Thomas said against his lips.
Newt's eyes went wide, the image of Thomas moaning out his name below him, his dick making Thomas come apart....
"Picturing it?" Thomas asked, slowly reaching a hand down towards Newt's dick.
Newt was still holding back, but he decided it was better if he didn't, as Thomas didn't seem to have the same problem.
"Fuck yes, I am," Newt said, wiggling out of Thomas's grasp.
He whipped around and pressed Thomas against the tree.
"God damn," Thomas breathed out, fully pressing his hands against Newt's dick.
Newt eagerly returned the favor, and Thomas kissed him hungrily.
"Any chance we can get each other off?" Thomas asks, already reaching for the waistband of Newt's pants.
Newt looked around, but he knew they were alone.
"Yeah, yeah, we can do that."
"Thank god," Thomas said, sighing in relief." I think I'll explode if we don't do something, like, right now."
"Same here," Newt said without hesitating.
Thomas pulled down Newt's pants, and Newt did the same thing to Thomas. They both paused for a second, admiring each other.
"God, I can't wait to have that inside me," Thomas said.
Newt blushed immediately and proceeded to kiss Thomas senseless.
"When we're out in public, you've got to keep your filter on."
"Why?" Thomas asks, spitting into his hand and grabbing Newt's dick.
Newt gasped, looking down. Thomas's hand was wrapped around his dick, his thumb poised over the tip.
"Is this ok?" Thomas asked.
Newt nodded, biting his lip to keep from saying anything he'll regret. Thomas smirked and grasped his dick, and Newt moaned out loud.
"You have to keep your filter on because-oh, god-we can't have anyone knowing."
"So, flirting with you is out of the question?" Thomas asked.
"You, you, want to flirt with me?"
"Newt, I want everyone to know you belong to me."
Thomas squeezed his dick harder with each word, thumb circling his tip.
"You've known me for twelve hours," Newt said, staring into Thomas's eyes.
"What's your point?" Thomas asked, spitting on his hand again.
Thomas started s[eeding up, and Newt couldn't think straight. Literally or figuratively.
"Fuck," Newt said, already teetering on the edge.
Apparently, his body was desperate for it because he was already on the edge.
"God damn it, Newt, why you gotta be so hot?" Thomas asked.
Newt and Thomas felt each other twitch, and Newt couldn't hold on any longer. He came into Thomas's hand, and Thomas put a hand over his mouth, muffling Newt's gorans. Thomas followed shortly after, burying his face in Newt's neck to muffle his shout.
Newt went loose against Thomas's grip, and Thomas was panting against him.
"That...felt amazing," Thomas said.
He leaned forward and kissed Newt again, and Newt couldn't help but kiss back. Thomas pulled away, tucking himself back into his pants. Newt followed suit, suddenly shy.
"Think you can hold off on jumping all day?" Thomas asked, smirking.
Newt openly scanned him up and down.
"We'll see."
