Flowers; a story of two people who's curses have always brought them sorrow.

Summary:

There was once a girl, who has a horrid curse of whenever she puts her grasp on something, beautiful flowers bloom and grow. Living or not this always happened, and unless she wears a lot of clothes, nothing prevents this. One day, she hugged a close friend of hers and flowers sprouted through their body, leading to the girl getting thrown out of her village. Learning to survive alone at the forest.
...
Across that forest lived a boy, who was in love with all kinds of plants, comming and staying at the town of Hana, plants and flowers were everything. The only thing is, he had a curse that every time he tapped a living plant, it would wilt immediately. Making his love of plants have limits, his favorite flower has a superstition where if you ever touched it, it would give fine benefits. Though with his curse, he could never fulfill this dream. With this curse, he had been hated through his village, eventually leading himself out to the forest near by.
Thats how the legendary meeting of two people arose.

Chapter Text

Meiko has always been an outcast because of her rare... Curse. Everything she brought her grasp to bloomed flowers. Yes, it sounded cool to others, but not when the food you were about to eat has a poisonous flower just bloomed on it. Or when you wanted to hug a close friend or family member and they suddenly screech with pain as flowers are sprouted on them untill their body gives out. Thats why she was kicked out her family, her village as well. She was always an outcast. And nothing ever changed that, it's not like curses were supposed to happen, yes, they did come in history, but they weren't ever as bad as hers, like being turned into a animal or something equivalent, it brought strength and other benefits. And most other curses you can find a way out of. There was no way out of Meiko's besides making her unable to touch anyone with bare skin. And plus she couldn't even touch regular items without them getting flowers bloomed on them. It sucked, life sucked. She didn't have anyone or anything to hang out with. Just her alone in a random area, having to hunt food for herself and other things. She was always like this, untill today...

"Oh, uhhm, hello, I never expected to see another person here." The blue haired boy said, he had a long scarf on his neck, along with a long sleeved white cardigan over a black shirt, he also had some baggy white pants with a yellow line on one side of it. His outfit was weird

"Ah, hello." Meiko said not wanting to talk much, he'd leave when he heard about her curse.

"So, why are you here?" The boy said. Sitting next to Meiko.

"I was... Banished from my old village, this place is nice enough and I've been here for a little so I just made a place to be and stayed. " Meiko explained.

"Ah, well, I just came here by myself... Or, I didn't really want to, but the people of where I'm from always disliked me, so I decided to just leave." The male said, moving closer to Meiko.

'Why is he moving closer? Does he want to die?' Meiko thought, even though she hadn't told the boy about her curse, boundaries still existed and you should respect everyones.

"Ah, pardon for trying to get so close to you, it's just kinda cold out here, ya know?" The boy said, putting his hand on Meiko's shoulder.

Now's the time he should wrive in pain, fall to the ground lifeless with flower buds growing and blooming, but they just didn't. Instead, the touch just produced small, dead flower buds.

"Huh..?" Meiko said, looking at the spot where the boy touched her.

"What? Oh, whats this about?" The blue haired male questioned to himself, looking at the dead buds on his palm.

"It's... I have a curse, that makes flowers grow wherever I touch, usually, whenever I touch someone, roots grow inside them and buds appear and bloom on them, but you...? How?"

"Wait, you have a curse too? Thats... Kinda cool..." The blue haired said, not responding to the question.

"Wow... Whats your stupid curse?" Meiko said.

"Erm.. It is stupid fufu, but every time I touch a living plant, like a flower or even a tree, it immediately dies. It doesn't seem that bad, but, plants are some of my favorite things ever, hell, my whole entire old village is about noticing how nice plants and flowers are, many rare flowers are native to the area, except, I've never been able to touch one. One of my favorite flowers, Camellias, are super valuable and are superstitioned to bring good fortune and healing to the people residing in the village. I collect them in my room, though, the healing only comes if you touch them... And I've never been able to do that. " the male said, looking sad.

"Wow... That sucks. Well, in what world do curses not suck? Wait, so does this mean I can like... Actually hug you?" Meiko said.

"Probably." The blue haired said.

Meiko then went up, and hugged him right there. He didn't collapse in pain. He didn't die, he just hugged her back and laughed. No one had ever laughed near her.

"That felt... Refreshing." Meiko said after their embrace.

"Hehe, sure did." The blue haired boy said back.

"Wait, you never really told me your name, nor have I... I'm Meiko Sakine. But just Meiko is fine."

"Alright, I'm Kaito Shion. But yeah, Kaito is just fine, nice to meet you!"

"Fufu, nice to meet you too." Meiko responded.

"Sooo.... Maybe we could go back to my village, I mean... I didn't intend to stay here for that long, most of my stuff is still at my house." Kaito suggested.

"I mean, sure." Meiko said back.

"Alright, let's go!" Kaito said energetically.

Meiko grabbed her stuff and went on, walking with Kaito to his village.

And that is just the start of a cursed duos legendary story...
