Chapter Text
I awoke to a clashing sound nearby. It sounded like.. two thin swords clashing over my head. I tried to see them but found they were a pair of earrings I had no memory of aquiring. Getting up, I found myself near some dumpsters. The collectors were pushed against the walls, and there were the odd boxes and trash bags around them. There was a broken door mirror I could see, hidden behind a bunch of drenched boxes. Looking back from it were a pair of.. foreign striking pur- no, Amethyst eyes and hair. The hair reminded me of someone else, but I couldn't recall who. They were like blooming flowers cascading down my shoulders, with an iris the likes of which were surrounded in a sea of crystals that reflected the light around them. 'Wow... Were those two shades? How..?' I had looked at the rest of myself, but instead of an ID or something, I instead found the bizarre sight of blood where my head had been lying.
Touching my head, I felt that my hair was caked up with ..dried blood..? At one spot, and there was a bump at the spot I had felt the metal object—the gUn. Realization struck me but I wanted to deny it. 'What gun!?!??' She- she had been shot. 'Oh.. oh.. oh no. WHY?.. why had she been shot. But wait, she hasn't been alone. Around her..' Oh dear God. OH DEAR XXXXX THERE'S DEAD BODIES AROUND HER!!
"Aaaaaahhh!!!"
Not her finest moments. Then again she's feeling like a monster in her own body. Still, the scream jolted the surrounding people's curiosity so when they came to check, they saw the sight of an almost naked girl with blood on herself surrounded by trash and corpses. The girl, upon seeing them come closer also fainted! "We- we need to call 911!"
"P-p-police! There's been a murder!"
"Nobody touch anything-! You'll meddle with the crime scene!"
"But she's naked!! You want me to leave a-..-a 13 year old lying on the ground like that!?"
"Ah um, well, no Ma'am but- ma'am. MA'AM!!"
"What!? Covering her should be allowed, right!?"
Seeing the woman's glare, the man with her deflated instantly. They might be strangers but he felt he would pay if he interfered. Still.. this scene was very horrifying. Horrifying and interesting. Four dead bodies and one girl. Actually, the dudes were all clothed and older but she...
He didn't want to think more about it when he took a second glance. 'She does indeed look 13 but I have a feeling she's a bit older going by her face. But with the blood on her head, it could be that she was attacked by the actual murder. Though, as for her lack of clothes...' he really didn't want to finish the idea he got. 'No, nope. Let's forget about it and leave it to the professionals.'
The police arrived and called an nearby ambulance over so they could take a look at her while they put the area under lockdown. The workers shooed the civilians away who kept trying to take a look as the girl was loaded into the ambulance and taken to a hospital when she didn't wake up.
.. Was she hearing voices?
"Crime alley... forensics collected her sample.."
"Brain scan showed remains of a bullet entering her skull... tissue problems imply..."
..Mmh?
What? What are they saying? She doesn't understand what they are saying..
She heard a click and the voice came closer. It sounded..less tense.. soft and gentle. "Miss are you awake?"
"Can she even hear us?" someone else asked and made an 'Epp'-sound for some reason. She tried moving her voice but her mouth didn't open. Her head was hurting and she felt.. nothing. A big load of empty head case. The night be a blanket on her, not she didn't feel warm.
With a verbal response hard to do, she forced her eye lids up. Slowly, like glue was fixed on them, they parted and she started seeing a man in white and a man in black. 'A.. doctor, and' she looked at the other one, 'a..police officer?'.
Police.. right.
"Ah, she is awake. Miss, can you hear me?"
She tried to pry for words but that didn't work, yet. Seeing this, the doctor proposed the yes and no signals. Since she has shown that she can move her head, they'll stick to nodding and shaking. "Is that fine? This man here" the doctor sounded very peeved at what he had to say, "wanted to talk with you as soon as possible. Even though the patient should rest." he was a very grouchy man huh.
She nodded making the man pull out some... recorder? and press a button. Something inside the device started spinning.
"I'll record our conversation as we go so my colleagues can get your statements."
'I can't talk though... How would they know?'
"Do you know who you are?"
No.
"Do you recall why you went to the alley?"
No.
"Do you know these four people?"
No.
"Did you see anyone else in the alley?"
Yes.
They diagnosed me with something called Schizophrenie which might've come from a case of home abuse in her childhood. And Amnesia. 'Maybe the reason why I don't feel so good?' Had something been done to me and I am trying to forget it? The psychologist - a female worker named Gloria - said I might be suppressing memories I don't want to remember...It shouldn't be seen as a stereotype per se, but it is a common beginning for many behaviors, or so she told me. It would be good to accept that and if not I should talk to her.
Still, I could've done without the prison sentence in a rehabilitation Center. This odd new place may be preferable to her home life.. (her little brother had committed homicide, and their mother was mad enough to kill him in return and their dad..). Sometimes she saw them in the people around her and she might be overreacting but she can't help but get very loud.
...Actually maybe she should have payed more attention to the counselor. It could have had merit now that she was surrounded by killers. Where were the days where Skull had just been a smiley guy in a circus, hiding that she was a girl and doing Stuntshows?
