Chapter Text
Prolog
The death of Gyoku-ou caused the citizens of the western capital to become resentful. Their leader had been kind, strong hearted and inspirational to them; they were deathly loyal. Deathly in a literal sense, loathing, scheming, filled with malice towards Li.
A group of particularly scheming envoys were sent to attend a small banquet , to ‘report on the state of the current unrest of the Western Capital’. But anyone bringing a trunk full of different poisonous herbs and aphrodisiacs has no good intentions in mind.
The travel party consisted of 5 people. a very handsome man, an apothecary woman, 2 guards and a bureaucrat. The handsome man had brown hair and emerald green eyes, his jaw was sharp and he had full lips. Stereotypically handsome. The apothecary had long black hair with dark brown eyes and wore simple clothing. The bureaucrat wore more fancy clothing with long red hair tied into a ponytail and jade eyes he adorned with a goatee beard. Both the guards were plain in their looks black hair, brown eyes with a big build. All of them hopelessly devoted to their late leader. A plot had already been planned. The banquet would be their one true chance to carry it out; there was no room for error.
“Are you sure this plan will work? It seems unconventional.” The apothecary looked at the bureaucrat, a nervous look painted her face.
The bureaucrat nodded in response. “It is the only way I could think of that will guarantee success. While keeping a low profile.” The apothecary woman hums a tune in acknowledgment.
“And if we fail?” The handsome man was sweating as he was still unsure if he was loyal enough to lose his head over a flimsy plan.
“We die with honor.” The guard proclaims hitting his chest with pride
Finally they arrived greeted by the Moon Prince and a group of guards. Their plan must succeed…..
