A Very Different Approach to Sex Ed

Summary:

In a world where public sex and nudity are much more normalized and commonplace, including with children, sexual education happens a lot earlier, and goes a bit differently.

Work Text:

It's the beginning of the second week of the 20XX-20XY semester of Reese Elementary School.

"Alright, class! We'll be starting to take our Attraction and Intimacy blocks today. I bet a lot of you are starting to notice that parts of your body are starting to act different- or maybe even a little weird- when seeing somebody or something you really like! Can everybody who's felt something like that before, please raise their hands?"
About 75% of the class raises their hands. Said 75% is about an even boy-girl split.
"Ahh, looks like a lot of us are starting to experience- ah, no, I'm getting ahead of myself." The teacher glances around, figuring out a random student for her to pick. "Mmm... Rodney, could you describe what happened?"
"Umm... I saw this really pretty guy my brother is friends with, and my thing started getting big and hard."
"Ahh! Yes, Rodney, that's normal. Who else... Ah, Avery?"
"Um... Recently, my, um... what's it called?"
"It's called a vagina, dear."
"My vagina's started to get wet and tingly when my mom cuddles with me and kisses me goodnight."
"Also normal! What you all are going through is something called 'attraction'. It's something that most people experience as they grow up! There's a lot of different kinds of attraction, but the big three are these."
The teacher starts drawing on a blackboard.
"There's platonic attraction... that means that you really like being friends with someone or something. Who here has friends that they really like?"
Almost every kid raises their hand up. The one who doesn't is asleep.
"Well, you're all experiencing platonic attraction!"

"The next one is called romantic attraction. This is for when you really, REALLY like someone. You might want to spend a lot of time with them, or give them nice gifts. Has anyone here ever wanted to be someone's boyfriend or girlfriend?"
Most of the class raises their hands, though shyly and gradually.
"That's romance! ...Hm, I wonder how many of you want to be boyfriends or girlfriends with someone in this room?"
Most of the kids who raised their hands either cover their faces or stare blankly.
"Hehe. Now, lastly... Sexual attraction. This is for when you might want to touch someone a lot, in a lot of different ways. You might want to use your mouth, your arms, your legs... even your penises and vaginas! Those two are called sexual organs, fun fact. Who here has felt that way before? ...Or, even, right now?"
A good chunk of the class raises their hands, blushing.
"Well, I'm happy to let you know that you can act on that at any time! You can just ask someone else to do something with you, and if they want to do it, you can do it!"
A few students start passing glances at each other, trying to hide the intense looks on their faces.

"You can do it right now, don't be shy! Just try to listen to my lesson too, though."
A boy approaches another boy, asking if he can touch the other's "thingy", and he nods silently. The boy starts curiously feeling up the shaft and balls before figuring out how to jack him off.
A girl walks up to a boy and asks if he can lick her pussy. The boy seems confused for a second before she points down at her vagina. He nods, following her to her desk and getting to work.
Two other girls silently begin making out with each other, with no words exchanged. Seems like they were already going to do this without the teacher's input.

"Very, VERY nice! Good job!" The teacher tries to maintain her composure.
"Now, all of these attractions can be felt in a lot of different ways. You might feel them about a stranger, a friend, a family member; even a pet or object! All of these are okay things, and even good things, to feel. Just remember to always ask yes or no."
The pair of girls stops abruptly, one of the girls asking a question while saliva still trickles down from her mouth? "Pah- um, what if somebody doesn't feel any of those things?"
"Oh, yes! Well, it's not something that happens often, but those are fine too. Those people are called aplatonic, asexual, or aromantic. The "a-" at the start of each word means "without".Those sorts of people might feel weird or left out, but it's very important not to bully them or force them into something they don't want. That goes for everyone, but people who don't feel those attractions, especially, don't deserve shame."
The bell rings.
"Ah! Looks like I got off track a bit. Well, it's lunch time! Everyone head off to the cafeteria. I'll be in here while I relieve myself."
One boy raises his hand, blushing while looking at his teacher.
"Yes, Will?"
"Umm... can you show me how to help girls relieve themselves? After I eat lunch?"
"Ohohoho...! Of course! Come in during lunch break or recess at any time~"
